This set was purchased by my 6 old son with his birthday money. He is just getting into Star Wars (through the fantastic Lego games on Nintendo) and this has been a set he has wanted for a while, and since I wanted it to I allowed him.
It is a fun build with lots of play features. The winch is great for recreating movie moments and the opening sides make it great for play – it comes with several figures as well which is good. This has had many hours of play and even made it to my sons show and tell.
The build is good, although a bit repetitive since it is a symmetrical vehicle; I do have a slight issue with the guns on the side of the head as they don’t seem a great fit but it is a very tiny part of the build, and may just be a one off. It doesn’t effect how good it looks on a shelve (when not being played with of course).
It isn’t the sturdiest of builds as there are some parts that are easily breakable (in a Lego sense) and I have had to fix it several times, but for the size of it and the amount of limbs on it, it hasn’t done too bad.
Overall:
Buildability is good. A couple hours building time; nothing challenging but usual Lego fun.
Durability is average. There have been several breaks but often in parts that can be put back together without instructions.
Playability is excellent. For a Star Wars and Lego fan, this has provided hours of joy and will continue to do so no doubt.
Displayability is very good. This looks good on a shelve. It’s all grey, so not eye catching or colourful, but it’s an AT-AT so very recognisable.
Affordability is good. It’s a big Lego set and it’s a Star Wars Lego set: it’s going to be pricey. If you’re more concerned with play than the Star Wars brand, you get a bit more for your money with something like Ninjago but if you’re anStar Wars Lego fan then the price here will be worth it.

Great set for my grandsons xmas, usual lego quality, he will love it!

I love this build as I’ve wanted it for so long. But it’s more of a display piece as it tends to fall apart very easily. Still super happy with my purchase

This is Lego, I don’t think I need to go over the quality of the product, it’s top notch as always.

No stickers in this one, be that good or bad for you, this model just doesn’t need any. A few printed parts though, which are good quality. I do like the figures that come with it too, being able to fit 3 in the head is a welcome feature too.

I was considering getting this for some time, and when I saw it here 30 off I couldn’t say no.

Bought for my Son’s 10th Birthday. It kept him busy for several days. Instructions easy to follow. Great detailing on the model. As with all Lego a little overpriced

Really great fun to construct, took about 2/3 hours of causal build time and looks amazing. However do be careful of the leg placement as anything other than the default straight legs I found makes it much more prone to collapsing even with little force.

Amazing play features with the rear and side bays, cockpit and added rope to recreate the scene with Luke from the film’s.

Massively recommend this to both enthusiasts and fans of Lego alike.

Great addition to the starwars lego sets, a improvement on past attempts. Looks good for display, and good to play with it. Only complaint is its bit pricy to previous models, and so probably not good if you are on a budge

Such a simple set to put together, mostly plates just pinned together, but in places it feels like you could easily squeeze it to destroy it. It comes with Storm trooper minifigs, nothing special there, xwing Skywalker, and a narrow fitting speeder bike to fit inside the rear. Inside there are places for the storm troopers to sit and a winch to lower the xwing Skywalker fig, al la ESB. It’s a good sized build, easily 13 1/2″ tall and 15″ long, so a sizable build, but mostly empty to save on pieces, it’s all frame.
Buy it if you don’t have the original.

Great build, I like the bigger kits as I can do a couple bags, over 3 nights, and the 5x monthly entailments make it not such a big outlay in one go.

I liked this set as not only is it the first AT-AT I’ve had but because I think the figures are good as well and although the snow troopers aren’t as good as the old ones. The actual build is very strong and stable however the chin guns fall off quite often. The build took me 5 hours because I’m stupid and I can’t read the instructions and if this set is on offer get it because I’d say it’s not worth the 140 (I got it on sale for 106).

What can I say it’s Lego so it’s expensive…. The Lego set is what I was expecting so all good there…… Suspect delivery driver – put it in my porch I could see through glass door he had then shut the porch door took a photo, when I was just opening front door he was retaking it back out porch….. Very strange

This item had an almighty journey accros Europe to get here in the uk and it was fascinating to track. A brilliant lego product that my Boy is getting stuck into.

Bought this as a gift for my other half who loves Lego and star wars. He loved it! Finishing the build in about 4 hours. Looks great on display

Our son is totally into Clone Wars and even more appreciates the First Order than original trilogy stuff. But I couldn’t resist to add an AT-AT to our growing collection, that is heavily played with on a daily basis but kept very complete.
This 1267 piece set is a great addition to our collection, And one that offers a lot of play value. The lego AT-AT has a pretty good likeness of the iconic walker. It is fairly sizeable at about 35 cm in height. Importantly, it includes a number of extra like a speeder bike, a heavy e-webb blaster and of course 6 minifigures. This combination makes the set well worth the price.
The walker has several side panels that can fold open and a bottom hatch though with Luke can throw his deadly detonator. The cockpit nicely holds the drivers and general Veers. There is a spring-loaded shooter and a winch a line so that Luke can climb up. The 2 AT AT drivers are the most pleasing figures in the set, followed by General Veers. The Snowtroopers are quite standard but vital, though I will have to order quite few more as only two were included (potentially cheap non-Lego figures). We will use Luke as a generic X-wing pilot as we already have plenty of him in this version.
The built was good, somewhat time consuming. I build it along with my young imperial engineer. There were some Technic pieces that are sometimes a little more complex for him. But in general he could progress well without much assistance from my side required. Of course as is always the case with lego animals, dragons ect. the building of the AT AT’s 4 legs gets very repetitive. On the other hand, no stickering is required.

Despite my concerns the finished model is quite sturdy and stands well on its own, the technic pieces lend it a lot of strength. Thus and it is really swell suited for the meany battle my son will involve it in.
There are a few drawbacks; as said, more snow troopers would have been nice. Also, the snowtroopers are not wearing white hip capes. More importantly, the overall model is entirely covered with studs unlike many of the modern Lego Star Wars vehicles. This could have been prevented with a more creative use of panels (the UCS Sandcrawler is a good example). And scale wise its is still a little small as a walker.
Nevertheless I’m really pleased with this set and I think the whole combination justifies the somewhat high price point.
Now I need to get some snow speeders, and perhaps the rebel base which will set us back a fair bi

This Star Wars Lego set is a brand new (for 2020) model of the classic At-At from Empire Strikes back (for the 40th anniversary).

The set looks fantastic, a really good model and is a ton of fun to build. The finished model is really robust and will cope with solid play.

The set has plenty of space. The cockpit takes 3 figures (2 pilot figures and a minifig of General Veers). Both sides lift out and there are 5 seats to take snow troopers (2 included) and the back opens to take the snow speeder.

The set comes with a winch and line play feature, to which you can attach the included Hoth pilot Luke figure.

The only slight negative on this one is that the price is quite high but I would say the quality and olayability makes it worth it. Overall an excellent set.
