This is a brilliant set which took my nine year old daughter about five hours to complete.
It comes with lots of characters.
The construction itself is quite intricate and has lots of detail. I like the clock which has a handle on the back which can be turned to change the time. There is a dance floor which can go round for the characters to dance on.
The building is biggish – certainly big enough to play with imaginatively.
There are two other sets which can physically be joined to this set – which of course my daughter now wants…..
Would very much recommend this Lego set.

Unica pecca: l’unione dei 3 componenti (torre dell’orologio, sala grande e platano picchiatore) poteva essere fatta meglio, i dettagli interni evidente che non sono pensati nell’insieme (l’ufficio di Silente sia nella sala grande che nella torre dell’orologio) quindi risulta solo un mettere in fila queste tre costruzioni, tra l’altro anche con una forma finale che non ricorda lo scenario del film (le parti formano una U ma rovesciata, quindi la parte esterna delle costruzioni finisce nell’interno della U). Peccato perch se fossero state pensate fin da subito come un unico grande set diviso in tre o pi parti sarebbe stato pi interessante

Ho acquistato La TORRE DELL’OROLOGIO per integrarlo a quello che avevo della SALA GRANDE. La scatola come sempre, di ottima fattura, addirittura su di un lato presenta una linguetta che permette la chiusura in modo da non far uscire il contenuto dentro una volta aperto.
Quindi aprendo la confezione troviamo all’interno ben 6 bustine contenenti i vari mattoncini e BEN 8 PERSONAGGI tra cui Harry Potter, Ron Weasly , Hermione Granger, Fleur Delacour,Cedrik Diggory, Halbus Silente e Madame Maxime,2 piccole basi grigie e il manuale di istruzioni che personalmente trovo fantastico perch sigillato anch’esso.
Il montaggio del set risulta facile e le istruzioni sono come sempre molto ben dettagliate. La sorpresa fantastica sta quando si arriva al montaggio dell’orologio in quanto si pu, attraverso la rotazione di una manovellina, regolare le lancette dello stesso. Inoltre le sorprese non finiscono qui perch montando le basi grigie presenti e posizionandoci sopra i personaggi, questi facendoli ruotare ruoteranno su di loro cos da sembrare che stiano eseguendo il famoso BALLO DEL CEPPO.

You can never go wrong with Lego. The children love it, & that’s just the adults!

Looks amazing and has great playability. This lego set can be quite tricky to put together so I recommend a bit of adult guidance we’ll making it.
This set actually comes in a fairly imposing box, with the clock tower on the front.
Having unboxed it fairly swiftly, it was nice to see that the instructions were clear, lacking the Ikea-like confusion of older sets. There’s some nice detail work here (the twirling clock tower hand was especially enjoyable). It’s moderately complex to put together – would suggest sitting down with kids to step them through it, and/or not having a few drinks before you start; you may need all your attention!
That said, it looks great once fully assembled, and now occupies a place of honour in our house (at least until the next set).
It’s got everything you want from Lego really – fun to put together, looks great assembled, will make the kids thing a bit, but isn’t too frustrating. If they’re Harry Potter fans, add a star for franchise excitement.

This is a beautifully made set that’s great for any child or adult fan of Harry Potter! It’s recommended for ages 9+ but the build is not too difficult and the instruction booklet is comprehensive, so younger children will probably be okay with a bit of help. As you’d expect from LEGO, the quality is excellent, and although the set is undoubtedly pricey, you do get a lot of detail provided including five different rooms and eight figures.
The five different rooms include a Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, the hospital wing, the prefect’s bathroom (complete with bubbles, running taps and ‘stained glass’ windows), the entrance foyer for the Great Hall, and Dumbledore’s office (which includes details like his memory bowl and quill). These different locations enable lots of interactive play including lessons, injuries, confrontations with the headmaster, etc. There are also decorations provided for the Yule Ball, including ice sculptures, tables with glasses, and a rotating platform so that the figures can dance together! The figures are mostly great too, with Harry looking very realistic, Ron’s outfit being adorably hilarious, Cedric looking dashing and Fleur, Viktor and Madame Maxime representing the less well-known characters from the Goblet of Fire. Hermione doesn’t look much like her at all, but her dress is cute.
There are some slight oversights – I think it would have been nice to include a DADA teacher and/or Madam Pomfrey for the hospital wing, but overall this is a great set with a generous amount of figures and accessories and lots of play opportunities.
For years we’d bought Lego for my daughter (Friends, City and Star Wars) and it never clicked until now. She absolutely loved this set and built the whole thing, unaided, in one afternoon. She already like Harry Potter and this set was just like catnip – she was really quite thrilled to build a bit of Hogwarts and have the Potter minifigs to play with. This set set was everything you expect with Lego, extremely high quality, superb instructions and loads of playability. Really delighted as both parent and customer.

LEGO is very popular in our house and we have many of the sets. This is the first one where I have loved the subject. There are some really nice touches for the Harry Potter fan – my favourite being Dumbledore’s office. It was great fun to build and the level of detail is just fantastic. I also love that it connects to other Harry Potter LEGO sets and many scenes can be replicated.
All the moving parts add to the massive playability that it offers as well as the generous offering of eight mini figures to role play with. When built the inside of the castle looks positively stunning – a thousand stars for presentation.
I’m so impressed and would highly recommend to Harry Potter and LEGO fans.

We own a lot of Lego but this new addition has been particularly enjoyable. We are fans of HP so this was always going to land well. It’s bigger than I at first thought but with the usual quality instructions wasn’t difficult to put together.
The attention to detail is very good and I particularly like the multiple floors in the clock tower itself. You also get a good range of minifigs and all the HP favourites are here.
The set is compatible with Whomping Willow and Great Hall which we don’t (yet) have.
Christmas has come early with this Yule Ball themed Hogwarts Party set.
At 84.99 it is a bargain for the play potential alone.
The set contains a three-level LEGO Hogwarts Castle Clock Tower and a fabulous array of eight mini-figures including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fleur, Cedric, Viktor, Dumbledore and Madame Maxime. (So you may need a Hagrid figure so Madam Maxime has a partner to dance with.
Add that to the great locations including the
Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, Dumbledore’s Office, Hospital Wing, Prefects’ Bathroom and a Yule Ball scene and you have the potential for hours of play.
The Yule ball scene has two icy tables, buildable icy sculpture and a Christmas Tree.
Then there are the delightful features a clock-changing mechanism to create Time-Turner time travel adventures.
All I need to add is that the figures are dressed for the Yule Ball and there you have it.

My Harry Potter/Lego daughter thinks this is just the best thing ever. More in it than I expected and looks really good.
The tower is articulated with accessible interior features and details such as a moving clock face (with a hand crank mechanism) and the interiors include Dumbledore’s Office and the Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom (small sized but available for play). As it is the Winter Ball, there is a dancing mechanism and a Yule tree.
The set has 922 pieces and so is a fun build for an adult Lego collector and perhaps a challenge for a younger builder (depending on age) but not so challenging as to be frustrating.
All in all, a quality set that will be a favourite with both Potter fans and Lego fans alike — if you are a fan of both then this is definitely a set for you.
The instructions as you would expect are clear and simple, and thus putting this together is not a long task, although to be honest we started playing with the dance floor whist constructing this, in our own Strictly dance-off. There is no skimping on mini figures here either, as you get eight in total, Madame Maxime, Albus Dumbledore, Viktor Krum, Cedric Diggory, Fleur Delacour, Ron Weasley, Harry Potter, and Hermione Granger. All the figures come in their finery ready for the evening entertainments, and they all have magic wands, plus the heads are two faced so you can have them showing different expressions.
With a moving dance floor, you also have a clock that moves as well, and there is a lot of thought that has gone into this. With the hospital wing we can see that there are bedside cabinets with lamps on them next to the beds, also Dumbledore’s office and the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom show a lot of detail and things to play with, including a spell book that opens, and both have quill pens. In the entrance there is a chest that also opens, which is good to keep some spare wands in. There is a prefect’s bathroom that has the taps running and a stained-glass window. There is a Christmas Tree and a couple of tables all ready to be used for the festivities. What I was surprised to find was a set of tools including power tools, so that everything can be kept in shipshape order.
From the front this looks great, but when you turn it around to show the interior, then this becomes rather stunning, and has more than enough elements to keep children (and adults) playing for ages. As this can also be connected with the Whomping Willow set and thus also with the Hogwart’s Great Hall set, so you can build up a bigger play scene if you so desire. In all though there is a lot here on offer for creating your own scenes from the books, or making up new ones, and is sure to do well.
Although photos do help you see what the finished model is like, they cannot really do something like this justice, as it is only as you build this, or watch it being built, that you realise all the things that go into it, to make it as realistic as possible.
