This is a great light for a modern room, this was teamed with LED strip lights and looks amazing. Only down side is that when on normal white light it is very bright so have to turn it down but easy done
Bought for a small office at the end of the garden. Usefully bright, I’ve actually installed it on the wall behind my monitor to provide controlled light for my webcam.
The light was easy to install and configure. It connects to the WiFi reliably.
The Android app is a simple affair. You can automate the on/off schedule as well as brightness and the color temperature in steps. What you can’t seem to do is change the colour mode using the automation. Instead, there are a limited number of “scenes” which some can be adjusted within limits (usually the colours to cycle through but not the cycle speed)

Great product, so good I bought another for a different room. Very easy to fit and also set up on the app. I set up a home on the app for different rooms and my wife and I can now separately control the light colours and brightness in our gym and study. Highly recommended.
Firstly, for those looking at the image, Iapologised about the ceiling, it’s just been re-plastered and needs a coating of paint.
However, chances are, you’re reading this because you want to know about the product.
If you’ve used any of the app-enabled light bulbs in the past you’ll have a good idea of what to expect, but for those of you that haven’t, here goes.
The light itself was fairly easy to install, the old light was taken down and this one was up and in place within about 10 minutes, (The work was done by my father, the general handyman of the family) once the light was installed it came time to get the app to connect to it and then go about setting it up to run with the Google home.
This is fairly straightforward but can be a little time consuming if you are new to this type of technology. However following the instructions on the app made this fairly simple.
In my case I attempted to do the setup and as per the instructions I turned the light on and off 3 times until it started to rapidly blink, sadly this wasn’t enough to allow the light to get connected, (win some lose some), so going back to the app I selected easy mode, this tells you to turn the light on and off 3 times until the rapid blinking starts, then do it again to switch to easy pairing, the light will blink slower, I actually appreciated this since in the app it gave images of what to expect, once in easy mode, you simply connect your phone or tablet to the wifi access point coming from the light fitting and after about 10 seconds it’s done.
The light itself is pretty bright on full power (In the image above it’s on approx 25% and it’s daytime so that factors into it) and the range of colours is more than I’ve ever found myself needing.
There are a couple of downsides, this light fitting is smaller than I would have liked, and feels very cheaply made but it suits its purpose.
For those other reviews that have said they are in the UK don’t bother getting this light due to its difficulty etc I say, I’m in the UK and based on those reviews I almost didn’t buy this product, but it was a case of 10 minutes to install and a futher 5 to configure.
For the price, I really can’t complain, it does it’s job, is brighter than I would have expected from such a small unit and was straightforward to set up.
I would assume that those who have had difficulty in getting this to work. . . maybe didn’t read the instructions or follow the guidelines of the app.
Customer Services are fantastic! Tried to support me with my issues of connecting the light to Wi-Fi unfortunately I was not successful. But as far as the light goes, excellent quality, very bright and very easy to install. Such a shame I couldn’t connect it for voice integration as would of made it perfect.
Easy installation straight from the box, did take a few attempts to get connected to the WiFi bit once connected very simple to get automation working.
Overall great product and very happy with it.
I am writing this review about the problems I have had trying to make this light work correctly.
My first light went back to Amazon because I thought it was faulty but now, after ordering a second light, and speaking directly the lighting company on the telephone, found there was nothing wrong with the first light after all!
If you have purchased this light and are experiencing any problems, please read my following advise very carefully.
TO CONFIGURE
Follow the instructions given with the light, but if you cannot pair or install it, try again. I tried this about 10 times and it was a total waste of time so I phoned the help line and this is what they told me to do:
For the AP mode, please try:
1) turn on the light,
2) wait 10 seconds,
3) turn on and off for three times (off,on off,on off,on) until it blinks rapidly
4) wait 5 seconds and turn on and off for three times (off,on off,on off,on) until it blinks slowly this time
5) go to lampux app,
6) add device,
7) tap on ceiling lights
8) On the upper right corner change the EZ mode to AP mode,
9) tap on confirm indicator slowly blinking,
11) tap on confirm,
12) then go to your phone wi-fi setting where you can choose a network where you want to connect,
13) search and connect to “smart life” then
14) go back to the lampux app and wait as its adding the device.
Please note the light Ceiling lights require a 2.4ghz wi-fi connection to be setup.
After some time of frustration and not being able to connect, i had a Doh! moment when i realised i was putting in the wifi password wrong. So the main issue i have with it is rather than give an error message it just says “scanning for network failed” (ora similar general message) making me think there was something wrong with the lamp rather than me.
Once i got the password right, it connected first time and no issues from then on. Responds to Alexa commands, you can change colours, dim, off and on. Does take a little while to remember that if you want to voice switch it off and on, you need to keep it switched on at the wall all the time. That would apply to any similar lamp of course.
Very bright for shaving and colour adjustable for mood set when soaking
Very simple to fit and link with wifi. Alexa compatible and works well but for colour changing mode its probably best to use the app. Gives off a lot of light considering its small size.
I’m very happy with the lights but they very fiddly to install.
Works perfectly with Alexa, took a bit of time connecting to the WiFi but works well now. Being able to have a soft light and different colours is a great feature.
Was really easy to install, but the app set up took about 25 attempts for it to find the light and link. I was almost ready to send it back when it finally linked. The annoying thing was I had to enter the wifi password each time which was a pain on the mobile. Now it is connected the light works well and the settings are great.
This produce is good value for money at 30, I wouldn’t recommend it for 50 as it doesn’t look particularly premium and it is missing some functionality features. It was very easy to install but its a shame it doesn’t have the option for a permanent and switched live feed. Because, of this if you turn the light switch off you can not turn it on with a voice command. I hope this is something they change in future models.
I have bought two of these and would buy another if I needed one. It does the job, its an ok price, and the light it provides is great.
I was ready to pack this up and send it back until I realised the fault was with myself! I noticed a few reviews about this unit not connecting to WiFi and then experienced the same thing myself. The problem is mixed mode WiFi 2.4 and 5Ghz, this device will not connect to shared network with 5ghz connectivity. If you change your settings to split your WiFi channels or turn off 5Ghz then this device will connect no problem. When it works, it’s a brilliant device. Connects easily to Alexa using the Lepro LampUX app and all voice functions to change colour and lux work perfectly. I use this as a porch light and it was very easy to fit and feels good quality. Will definitely be purchasing more of those in future for other projects.
Used this light in my bedroom. Love being able to adjust the brightness, and the colour, to give my room a nice gentle warm glow in the evening before bed to relax my eyes. Also nice and bright when using the white light with higher brightness. The control on the phone is easy to use, and comes with a few presets already programmed. It even has a “disco” function (not that I plan on any raves in my bedroom!).

I tupidlt wired it up incorrw tly turn it on and it blew the fuse. Once I got it installed correctly worked really good. Easy to install provided you know what you are doing.

It was difficult trying to connect it to the wifi, but finally after a week of trying various trouble shooting tips I have finally got it connected.
It’s a good light now we’ve finally got it working but I must say this has been the most difficult product we’ve connected to our Smart home collection.
Easy to install and very bright for the size of it. Kids love the colour change function.
Many a review here saying they had a problem connecting this to WiFi, I seriously can’t understand why, it literally took me about two minutes to install it on the ceiling, another 30 seconds to connect it up to the WiFi and another minute and a half linking it to Alexa.
Looks and works great, as for longevity, I guess only time will tell, any problems and I’ll add them to the review at a later date.
DO NOT listen to those who say it won’t connect to the WiFi, it does yet it takes 2 minutes to adjust your ISP settings so it can run over the 2.4Ghz channel of the WiFi as it does not over the 5Ghz channel.
This light is great, easy to install and emits a range of colours with ease. The sellers customer service is expectional and rapid.
As I am mostly working from home, I love how I can have this as a usual bright white office light and when I finish work I can seemlessly transition the light to a deep purple for relaxing. You can also set timers so if you have trouble waking up in the morning, just set a timer for the time you wish to wake, set the light to a bright white and voila, it’ll burst on at the time you want waking you up. Again this feature can also be used to set the light to any colour at anytime with you having to use the app to change it, so if you know at 6pm you will be watching a movie, set it to a dim orange etc for 6pm and itll be ready to go.
There are a range of ‘scenes’ where the light can strobe so its perfect for a house party or the like and its very useful for me when I am streaming online as I can change the mood and scene instantly. All scenes can be modified to include the colours and brightness you desire. Or you can be like me and just play around with the colour wheel to see what you prefer as and when.
The reason I have left a star off is this light could give a bit more variety with the speed of the colours in scenes and I feel this is a missed trick. E.G a scene that strobes different colours can be distracting yet if this could be slowed down effectively then this may be more pleasant for all.
All in all its a good light at a reasonble price point, like I say ignore those who arent bothering to connect it to the correct WiFi channel and go for it.
Have 2 of these in the kitchen and sons bedroom love the Alexa integration will certainly be adding more products from this range, installation needs planning carefully to ensure it aligns with bracket and existing wires.

Nice light easy to set up to Google Home light, just install Smartlife App pair it and your up and going in no time. The downside to me was its size I thought it was the same size of the light I removed but it was very small compared making the Artex not finished off correctly 🙁 would have given it a 5 star apart from the misleading image.

Easy setup with lepro app & linking to Amazon Alexa echo products makes control easy and fairly intuitive, just take a few minutes to learn the basic commands then voice control makes life even easier.

If I turn the light off with Alexa and the wife walks in flips the switch off nothing but then flips the switch again it comes on. I have a different one that only works with Alexa, it drives the Mrs mad. This one is better for both of us.
A good price wifi light. Easy to install and the app is easy to connect to the light for the control. Having it connect to Alexa makes it more accessible.
Very “smart” light. Amazing choice of colour changes via Alexa, brightness + saturation etc. Definitely worth the price. Slight difficulty in installation was not a fault of the product but of previous fittings.
Great product. Love the fact it links to my Alexa and can be controlled by voice in the middle of the night. I purchased two of these, one for kitchen and one for bathroom. If you don’t want a harsh ice white light (seems to be the default) just adjust the colour to a softer and dimmer white. Great product.

Brilliant light. But. Fitting was a bit of a nightmare.
The retainer plate simply screws to the ceiling light fitting.
But if you have ring mains then the double neutral cable will not fit the connector on the light. Also to connect the light unit to the retainer plate you are somehow supposed to get your adult sized fingers into a space of about 1/2 inch to pull back a lever to lock the fitting in place.
I have had to use a connector block and a spacer of wood.
Initially I was really pleased with this product. It installed easily and could be controlled exactly as we wanted. However it’s now 4 months since I bought it and we had to change our Wi-Fi password. This product is now “unresponsive” I’ve spent several hours trying the online guides and tips but it will not reconnect. All my other devices reconnected simply apart from this one. I would not recommend this product because of this issue.
EDIT – I emailed the company and received a response the following day with some further instructions on what to do. I followed these and the light reconnected on 1st attempt. On that basis I am once again very happy with this light !

I’ve now got 3 of these; in the office, guest room and just put one in the kitchen.
They are very easy to install and are nice and bright. The ability to change the colour, brightness and white warmth make this a very versatile light.
I did have a slight blip when my BT router died and I got a cheap TP-Link router for a couple of weeks. For whatever reason, these wouldn’t pair with that router, even though it was a single band 2.4Ghz. However, I’m putting this down to an issue with the router rather than with this product as none of my other smart devices worked with the router either and everything worked when I changed the router again.

No issues with wi-fi on this but spent almost two hours trying to get the thing on the ceiling. If you have lots of connectors make sure you have plenty of room to hide in your ceiling because very little room behind unit.
My bathroom ceiling has three sets of cables coming out of it so no room to hide behind light. Had to split connectors up and make a bigger hole in ceiling to push some back through to get the light flush.
Also the cable connector are a bit fiddly to keep cable in and the clip on bracket is a nightmare to clip the light onto, I had to put a 3mm strip behind the bracket to drop it from the ceiling a little more because I could not get it to clip in.
I’ve just installed one if these lights in my living room to replace a ceiling light that used g9 bulbs which never lasted very long. The light was fairly easy to install (but being a former TV studio lighting technician helps) I did struggle trying to get the wires into the junction box but that’s only because there wasn’t a lot of slack on my wiring. I love the fact that it can be controlled by an app and by my Alexa device. It worked straight away after following the easy instructions. The light is bright enough for what I wanted (working at home) and the colour temperature, brightness and colour of the light can be perfectly controlled with the app. I’m going to be installing a 2nd one shortly.
After asking several friends to get it working finally it got sorted! It’s very good but don’t rely on the so-called service that’s offered because all they do is refer you back to the instructions which I’m told are incomplete !

After installing the light with the switch works great however connecting to the app is impossible. I wait until the light blinks and then try to connect to my fast internet, it takes ages and then says it will not connect. After 30 attempts I cannot figure out how anyone has got this working !
Update – Got it working your wifi box need to be VERY close to the light!
This was really fiddly to get up however once it was fitted it looked brilliant. Connects to Alex’s no problem I can change the light by voice or by the pull cord. If using voice the pull cord must be on all the time but just using it as a normal modern bathroom light is lovely.
Works brilliantly with Google Home.
So why only 4 out of 5? Well because to put a light in pairing mode for wifi, this happens during powerup/switch on. To wire up two of these on the same circuit I had to connect one, pair it, wire second one up and skip out the first one, pair it, then join the two in circuit again. Wasn’t difficult but took some thinking about and there’s no menion in the instructions of how to do this with multiple lights.
Although these are RGB colour range lights, I haven’t used the colour range as much as anticipated but I don’t always want to train in the gym with super bright lights (which these can be on full) – I turn them down to 50% off white when I want to do longer cross training sessions in a more chilled light. My daughter has had them both different colours at opposite ends of the garage gym!

I am very impressed with these. They’re a touch expensive but the reviews are good so I went with them. Thankfully they are compatible with Smart Life app, which I have all my smart devices on – so I didn’t bother downloading and using the app they mentioned in their instructions.
Getting started was easy – simply get the lights to reset by turning them on and off 3 times until they flash. Smart Life then pairs them and (thankfully!) it was smart enough to recognise both lights individually, which I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t due to them being turned on together by the same light switch. Alexa then picked these up straight away as it already recognises that I have added a new device to Smart Life. For those that have never done this before, simply add Smart Life as a “skill” on Alexa to get that seamless pairing between the two apps. Each light will get a name (which you can edit) and then you can voice control them.
Overall, these are great lights.
I have a bathroom with no windows and oh my this has brighten up the room massively,maybe too much (but you can control the lights).
I’m not great at DIY and my wife gave me the eyes when I said I was going to do it, no lie 10 mins and it’s all done, took 2 attempts to set it up with the phone but that was only few minutes. Most easy 5 stars ever!!!
I like the simplicity of installing it and connection to my phone via an app which gives me full control on the light and all colourful of it too. Its bright enough for a small room but not bright for a large room, im happy with it.

I’ve had to redo my review, originally thought it great but found after a while, whenever you change colour it disconnects from alexa, the app and the Internet and you have to reconnect … Strange really. Used on bathroom but once a colour is selected it fails and has to be used by switch til reconnected, then you’d have to keep it on colour selected til reset.
I’ll add this and my apologies to seller…. I went through settings and cleared the cache and its working perfect again…. Must of been a glitch, had the light 2 years now and never had a problem til this. Rectified now and will say its been great and very bright for bathroom

Great Light which I installed in our bedroom. Google assist turns it on or off and/or changes the colour. The seller is amazing. He or she has sent emails asking if everything is OK and can they help with anything. Great product and great seller. Buy with confidence. Update. I just installed a second one in a second Bedroom. Old light disconnected, new light fitted and paired in the app and Google assist in less than half an hour. Brilliant lights and great value. Remember electricity can kill. Disconnect everything before you begin.
Good product, easy to install though wire terminals are push type rather than terminal block screws so a bit fiddly. Good brightness and colour changing feature and easy to use app and voice control via Alexa.

Wow, extremely bright light, it’s so bright we have it set at only 20%, we like all the colour changes. Great purchase
honestly best investment I’ve made! Makes my room look amazing and there are so many different options to the colours. Honestly took 10 mins to fix and a few minutes to set up on my phone. So happy with it!!
My main issue was that the instructions are absolutely right when they say that it should be near the wifi. At least for setting it up. I wasted quite a bit of time trying to get it set up in its intended location (well away from the wifi hub which we have upstairs, on the other side of the house).
The porch had a wifi level of -87dB (not much signal; I have an app for measuring this on my phone) and this was not enough for set-up, which worked fine once it was next to the wifi, disconnected from the ceiling, and temporarily connected to power via a wall plug near the wifi, and a table-lamp wire with a switch built in.
Having set it up, I then found that it didn’t work when it was back in its intended location. Hmm. However after moving one of our wifi extenders nearer to the front door to boost the wifi signal, it worked fine.
I have since used the app to change to the colour option, tried various colours (ok, not really necessary for the porch, but fun for a bit), and varied the brightness.
Having had some fun, I reverted to the white setting and adjusted the white temperature (which was very cool/blue at the factory setting) to a lovely warm white.
Having got it working (as a complete smart home newbie), within an hour I had also linked it to IFTTT to turn it on at sunset (link your IFTTT account to a pre-built applet in ‘Smart Life’), and this worked fine!
IFTTT has another applet that will turn the lamp colour to turquoise if rain is forecast – no end of possibilities!
Given that the lamp is dimmable with the app, I’m thinking that I should have gone for the brighter lamp, but it is definitely bright enough for the porch.
Am hoping to find a good external PIR to link to the lamp (via IFTTT or the Smartthings hub I have not yet bought) to increase the brightness when someone approaches the house.
Will almost certainly buy some more.
Once it is connected to your WiFi it works perfectly with amazon echo. I did have a little trouble connecting and a few frustrations when first installing. I accessed my router menu and switched off the 5ghz so only 2.4ghz was available I was then able to connect. Once it is connected switch 5 ghz back on and everything works perfectly. I bought a second one and had it up and running in a few minutes.
But the main reason is I have a low ceiling. and being able to change colour and turn Off-On with Alexa.
Lovely colours, you can have them really bright or really dim and they work seamlessly through our Alexa., very very easy to connect to the WiFi.
We would def purchase again.
