This is a good-looking case with several nice features, but the weight of the case when empty – almost 4kgs – means its use as carry-on luggage is limited if you’re planning on travelling with carry-on only for more than a few days. However, there are lightweight suitcases that are better suited to that purpose, and this suitcase is marketed as a solution for business travellers who are travelling for a couple of days, so you should keep that in mind. I’ve used this case for a three-day trip, and I was just able to get everything I needed into it when it was expanded, which gives 15% more capacity. The laptop compartment is suitable for a large laptop and would undoubtedly offer good protection, and being able to access your laptop without needing to open the entire suitcase is good, but you sacrifice a lot of space within the laptop to provide this feature. Personally, I’d rather store my laptop in its own case within the laptop or carry it separately to have the additional storage. The secure lock they reference is a separate travel padlock that comes with the case. The case construction is pretty solid, and the four independent wheels mean it’s easy to steer the case when it’s fully loaded, and I found the handles to be sturdy enough – though I’d always prefer the handles to be over-engineered for peace of mind, and these are just okay.
In summary, this is a good case if you’re travelling for business for two or three days with a laptop. If you’re looking to travel for more than three days with one large carry-on suitcase only, there are better options.
Personally, I also think this suitcase is overpriced for what it is – I’d certainly begrudge paying more than 90 for it, but it is well-constructed enough for it to command a mid-range price.
If you ALWAYS travel with a laptop and need to have ready access to your laptop while you’re travelling, then this would be worth considering.

I was looking for a rolling suitcase that would hold clothing for several days and still hold my laptop. I was also able to put my smaller iPad on the outside pocket. Rollers worked well. I've only used it once. Hoping the durability is great.

I love this Level 8 carry-on bag! Spins and rolls smoothly and quietly. Has abundant storage space. And even though it does not tout USB charging, one can use the pockets available to easily store an external battery to charge a phone or tablet, which can also be stored in the front section. I definitely leveled up with this purchase!
I took an 11 day trip overseas and decided to do carry on only. After reading many reviews I selected this one. It is very light all by itself. I was amazed at how much I could get in this bag. I used packing cubes and ended up with 5 or 6 items I never even wore, including an extra pair of shoes. It is hard shell but has an expander in the middle if needed. Good place in the front for electronics. Highly recommend!!
First, I have ordered this product through Amazon and it came delivered without the box, bag or any wrap or protection. I complained directly to Level8 and they send me a new one immediately. That’s really a great customer care. I have returned the one deliver through Amazon and they would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to buy the suitcase to bite straight from level8 website.
What I like most is the spinner wheels. No weight on my arm at all. Rolls well on thin carpet too. Next is the high end look with the silver corners. Finally are the locks. The main suitcase has a built-in combination lock and it came with a bonus TSA combination lock for the computer section. Took it on two trips already and so far it is holding up nicely. Money well spent.

I had been researching suitcases for months and was so close to getting the Away or Beis set like others in the family had. But I really liked the dedicated laptop compartment. Since October, I’ve used the Level8 suitcase a dozen times – two trips abroad – both checked and carry-on. I even accidentally left my laptop in the front compartment on two international flights with no problems. It holds a ton, and, so far, I’ve had zero trouble with zippers. I’ve really enjoyed it, and I’m so happy I got this brand. Lots of nice touches It’s sturdier than my huge Calpak. The price is unbeatable for the quality.
I took this bag to Europe for a 10 day trip and had plenty of room, I even had to zip the extender at one point for a smaller plane and it was fine. I then used it again for a long trip and honestly, it was probably my fault but the zipper bust because of being packed so tightly for 3 extended trips in 3 months. The company replaced it immediately (it was within warranty). I have a better understanding on the durability now, but considering what it went through I would say it was amazingly durable. And then if that fails, the company was true to their word and made it easy.

High quality feel, interior organizer is well laid out and sufficient and volume is good even without using the expandable. The pull down front is very useful.
READ IF YOUR CASE IS LOCKED
Mine came locked, like many others have stated. I also had misplaced the tag with the instructions, as I bought this several weeks before my trip. So I had to go through reviews here to figure out how to unlock it, which didn’t give much luck. BUT, I finally figured out that the part that looks like a keyhole actually slides in the direction the little arrow points. So, set the numbers to 0-0-0 and then use an earring or pen and push in the tiny silver button all the way til it stays. Then, push to slide the square piece with the keyhole in the direction of the arrow, and POP! It unlocks!
I hope this helps. Still no idea how to set a pass code but at least I can access and use it now LOL

got this valise, suit case, carry on (whatever you like to call it) about 3 months ago. Took it to Italy for a 2 week trip as a carry on. Don’t trust baggage handlers to not destroy it. So can’t answer for this case’s ability to withstand cargo area and baggage claim carousels, but for everything else it was great. Sturdy, stylish, protected my stuff from the elements, fit a lot, and I mean a lot of stuff. I think I had 3 pairs of pants, 8 or 9 t-shirts, a few dress shirts, underwear etc. a pair of shoes and other items. The best part was I expanded it (which in and of itself is a great feature) then stuff my fluffy winter coat, zipped it up and the was able to zip the expansion closed. Fantastic.
I have back issues so something maneuverable was a necessity and this was so easy to move around. I took this as carry on for 4 flights in 2 days on domestic airline and it went great. No issues with fitting in overhead bin. Held up great. Used it as my only luggage for the trip and it fit everything I needed without a problem. It comes with some letter stickers. I found this helpful as I put my initials by the handle and I could identify my bag really fast in overhead bin. The lock worked as the instructions listed. I love the front open area for laptop.

This is a great case for those who only pull it over short distances or on smooth surfaces.
The laptop flap is great, the locks are good. Just the wheels are a little bit weak for dragging across town, as some of us have to on occasion.

Sehr schne leichtgngige Rder und auch die Verarbeitung vom Griff gefllt mir sehr gut. Der Griff rastet ein und wird durch drcken des Knopfes am Griff gelst. Klar wenn der Koffer in den Gepckraum im Flugzeug geschmissen wird, werden die Rollen die Schwachstelle sein weil sie auen liegen aber mir macht es einen sehr robusten Eindruck
