    Easy to get setup and use the app to set a schedule. Sound is not intrusive, especially when on automatic as it seems to run in the low fan setting (in my use).

    I purchased this when I lived in California, which wasn’t too long ago. I got it originally because of the fires that were pretty consistent. I don’t have the strongest lungs, so it was important I had something like this in the house, especially during fire time. Little did I know it’d be just as helpful during COVID and allergy season. I actually even saw these devices strewn about the One Medical offices, so I felt good about having this unit.

    I use the app more than I thought I would. It’s not like it’s every day, but I like being able to check the status of the filter. The app also makes it easy to order filters for the appropriate machine.

    Customer service is also above and beyond. At one point, when I moved, it suddenly stopped responding to touch. I tried to troubleshoot on the website and everything and eventually just messaged support asking if they had any suggestions on how to fix it. To my surprise, they made it right by sending me a new one! I would definitely order from this company in the future because the product works well and they actually care about their customers. They wrote back to me a few months after the replacement arrived just to check in and see show things were going, so that was great!

After trying few things discovered it was problem with having password made up of letters and numbers. If only numbers it worked not a case of upper lower case. In my case as I have two access points changed one password to numbers only. If you have simple system you may have to change to numbers password. Reported to manufacture so they may correct this as suspect it is firmware issue

    The Levoit Purifier works wonderfully in my small office space. I workout time to time in my office and it can get a little musty when you mix in having a few meals in there. I just leave the purifier on and in a short time it surprisingly rids my office of those odors leaving the room feeling fresh again. My space doesn’t get to dirty since I’m the only one using it, so my filters go about a year without clogging. The Charcoal filter just gets placed in the sun for a few hours every so often and it cleans up nicely.

    I had one but it died about a year and a half later (yellow glow of death) after running it almost 24/7. I contacted the support team and sent them the requested information – Invoice of purchase, picture of label on machine, and a little video just showing me plug it in and giving the YGOD. They have a few troubleshooting steps to which the machine did not revive. They then simply got me a replacement in 2 days. Here is the replacement after setting it up in the app (Takes like 2 minutes depending on your wifi speed to download the firmware update).

    Couldn’t be happier! In hindsight the issue may have just been a shorted out plug in, but nonetheless I recommend this for small rooms.

    This has been great for us! It covers a large area and isn’t big itself at all! It is pretty quiet when on the high setting (I’ve heard much louder). We use the sleep mode, it’s great so we don’t have to remember to turn it on or shut it off. I Love It!

We stuffer from allergies, but every since I started adding air purifiers the quality of air is fantastic. All devices are very quiet and look sleek and modern. When my pur131S stopped working I called and email the customer support for troubleshooting. They ended up sending a replacement brand new air purifier. Amanda from the Customer Service team was timely and responsive. I couldn’t be happier with this brand. It is worth the money.

    I purchased two of these units over 1year ago. I don’t have the expertise to evaluate their performance, but the customer service was great. After a power failure, one of the units did not come back on. I sent an E-Mail to Levoit support including a picture of the display on the unit, the serial number and a pdf of the purchase from Amazon. The next day, I got a response from them saying a new replacement unit was on its way. A couple days later, the new unit arrived.

    Ok – so this thing is a workhorse – we have a small Great Dane and this thing really does a good job on knocking down the odors in the family room where we gather to watch tv in the evenings. But let’s get to the fun part. We bought our unit quite some time ago and the thing fritzed out on us. Just stopped working. So the coolest thing – we contacted Levoit and after a few simple troubleshooting steps they determined the problem and shipped us a replacement unit… how cool is that …. a company that stands behind their product! 5 stars – no problem.

    I had this product for 2 years and it gave me consistent performance. I have major allergies and my sinuses flare up multiple times per day since I was a child. To the point where my lungs would hurt from sneezing. This air purifier gave me the best air quality and relief from allergies, best nights sleep !     This thing is seriously life changing. I’ve always passed off allergy symptoms as a part of my day to day life, but there’s been a notable change in my symptoms at night due to using this in my bedroom. The air feels notably cleaner than the rest of the house (2 big hairy dogs in an old house) and I feel like I’m getting better sleep than I have in years.

    The sleep mode is so quiet it’s never disturbed me, but honestly the first few nights I had it I didn’t use sleep mode and it didn’t bother me then either. It is definitely quieter in sleep mode though, nearly silent from across the room. And being able to control it from my phone is a major plus.

    We purchased this unit in October of 2019 and used it daily since we had received. I unfortunately it stopped working about 2 weeks ago. The unit has definitely served our home very well for sure. I contacting the customer service dept to see if by chance there were any other option besides resetting the unit. They provided information with in 10 minutes of my email. I tried the additional steps the representative provided but the unit was dead. The representative asked my for additional information about the unit and to my surprise they are replacing the unit with a new one even though the units warranty had expired.

    We bought this air purifier because we are renovating our house and my mother has COPD and several other health issues. The noise level is minimal and is actually quieter than her oxygen concentrator. The timer function is easily managed by the app and I find that very convenient. The product comes with a two year warranty. We had the product for one year seven months and had issues after changing the filter. I contacted customer service and they responded quickly and followed up regularly. In the end, they shipped us a brand new unit with no hassles. I am extremely satisfied with this Levoit air purifier and would definitely recommend to friends and family and strangers alike.

    Product works well. It is a bit noisy but I have it in my bedroom and switch it sleep mode which makes it very quiet, so that works out just fine.

    Here’s the most important part: after about 2 years, the product died. It would no longer turn on. I thought it could be a firmware issue so I contacted levoit to see if there’s a hard reset I could try. They would up sending me a new unit, free of charge. They clearly stand by the quality of their products beyond any written warranty and that is not something you see too often these days.

    100% recommend Levoit.

    I bought this unit in August 2020. The unit came with a 1 year warranty and an additional 1 year warranty if you wanted it. I went ahead and got the additional 1 year warranty. On January 20, 2022, I changed the filters and when I plugged the unit into the wall outlet the display lights flashed bright and then glowed lightly from then on out. The unit would not turn on…some kind of electrical problem. I emailed Levoit customer service that day. After a few emails back and forth from Service providing them with a couple of videos of the problem, purchase invoice from Amazon, picture of model number and my mailing address, I received a new unit on January 26th! I was very impressed with their service. Amazing. Keep up the good work!

    I bought two of these in Nov 2020. They worked great for more than a year and then they stopped working. I filed a warranty claim and got 2 new units sent to me in less than a week. Overall the customer service experience was excellent. The product itself works great and I have no complaints. You can see how disgusting the filters get when you need to change them. They are not as sensitive to smell as they are towards smoke in my experience. But my units are integrated with google assistant so I can just ask google to change the speed or use google home or the vendor app when I’m not close to the units.

    I bought two of these in the summer of 2020 and ran them 24/7. Late this autumn, which was just outside the one-year warranty period, one of the units failed — the control panel lit up strangely and became entirely unresponsive. (The other one still works perfectly.)

    I emailed LEVOIT customer service and they happily shipped me a replacement unit. I think they, like me, expect their units to be able to stand up to 24/7/365 use, for over a year, without any problems, and have crafted their replacement policy to reflect their high expectations.

    I would happily buy this (and any other LEVOIT product) again.

    I recently contacted Levoit due to fan speed fluctuation. I contacted them through email and they were quick to get back to me asking for more details and pics and vid. They were quick to review my concern and informed me they would be sending me a new unit immediately.
    I really appreciated the prompt courteous service and that they stand behind an excellent product. I would definitely recommend any of their products.

    It works well on auto. The sensor picks up smoke from my oven before you can see it.
    In the pictures you can see that the red light indicates it picked up mineral in the air from my cool mist humidifier.
    The only negative for me would be that I didn’t want the one with wifi and don’t intend to use it that way but they were sold out so I got this one. I prefer to just set it and forget it and don’t need all the tracking that comes with Apps.

    I loved these things, I have two. One in the bedroom, and one in the living room. Unfortunately, the one in the bedroom suddenly died. I have only had them for a little over a year. Very disappointed especially when the price is almost $200. I have reached out to Levoit but they still have not replied.

    Update: Levoit customer service reached out and replaced the unit within a few days (even though it was out of warranty). Very satisfied with the outcome from this experience.

    I bought two of these because I was always waking up congested and while working in my home office I would have these sneezing fits.

    I wanted these specific units because I read that they could integrate with Home Assistant, which I use to control all the other IoT devices in my house.

    They do indeed integrate well with Home Assistant, all that was needed was to enable the integration and then add them to the android app that they come with.

    After that I was able to create schedules using Home Assistant like to turn on the office one at 100% a couple hours before I start work, then turn it down to 15% for the duration of the work day, then off after I finish work, and then similarly turn on the bedroom one at 100% a couple hours before I go to sleep, then down to 15% while I’m asleep and off again when I wake up.

    The noise level depends on the speed you operate the unit at. At 100% it’s kind of noisy. At 15% it’s almost unnoticeable.

    The purifiers are VERY effective. I was unsure if they would be a scam or not, having never used any air purifiers before. They work very very well. I no longer wake up congested. I have, since I got these, not had a single day where I could not stop sneezing. Additionally, the office one completely eliminates any smell of cat litter from the litter box in there. I do clean the litter box frequently but the air purifier eliminates any smell of cat litter at all.

    I would recommend these air purifiers, they work very well and integrate easily with Home Assistant.

    I do not write a lot of reviews, but have to write one for this. Bought this in January of 2020. Worked great. Last week, the display started changing colors and finally would not power on. Called Levoit customer service about it since it was under warranty. Warranty was expiring in January of 2022. I sent them a video of what it was doing and pictures of the cleaner. They gave me no problems at all and said they will be sending me a new one. I’m writing this review, not only it was a great cleaner, but the excellent customer service I received from the company. They stood behind their warranty and zero hassle. I will definitely ordering more from this company.

    Have had this since April of 2020. It has been a great asset to my allergies!! I leave it on nearly 24 hrs/day in our bedroom, which is about 220 sq ft. Very effective. The relative white noise is very soothing at night. Only loud if you have it on high, as expected. The WiFi/remote capabilities come in handy almost nightly. Cleaning the dust out of the crevices is an important step in maintaining the purifier (doesn’t take long, do this when you change the filters).

    The device did unfortunately malfunction mid-October 2021. I was thinking I was about to be in the market for a new purifier, but when I reached out for support, their team responded very quickly and assisted with swift action. I was so surprised at how helpful and fast they were. For this reason alone I will recommend this product and other Levoit products in the future.

    I’ve had this unit for over a year and when it was working it did really well. I was impressed with how well the autu feature worked. It can get a little loud when set to the highest fan setting but at least you know its working. Having it wifi enabled is super convenient as well..though I always just kept it on, purifying the air in our kitchen + TV room, which is a sizable area..A little after a year it just stopped working. I thought changing the filters might solve the issue but that didnt work. I eventually contacted customer support and they were very quick to reply and super helpful. They let me know that even though I was out of warranty, they would help me out and send a new replacement. I’m still waiting for the replacement to come in, but the fact that they made an exception and sent a new unit even though I’m out of warranty speaks volumes about this company. There are a lot of companies out there to choose from, knowing that Levoit actual supports their consumers is invaluable

    I purchased this air purifier in March 2021 after searching them for months on end. I mainly bought it because my husband and I both vape daily and I wanted to purifier the air in our home so our daughter wouldn’t be inhaling the vapor. I have now had this air purifier almost 5 months. It now is only at 50% filter life with daily vaping in our living room. We keep it set to Auto mode so it can detect when it needs to run on high and other times on low. I love this feature. I have since moved and now use it in my bedroom. The low setting is so quiet I don’t even hear it and even on high, it’s not disturbingly loud. On high, it sounds like a white noise machine. The only complaint I have is mainly user error. I threw away the box after registering and when I moved, I struggled to reconnect it to my new home’s WiFi so for a month now I haven’t been able to control the settings using the app on my phone, only manually. However, I reach out to the manufacturer and they quickly responded and within minutes, I reconnected it to my new home’s WiFi and can adjust the settings now on my phone again. Well worth the money!

    This air purifier is up to the task. I have windows that allow late afternoon sun to shine thru and one afternoon I noticed how dust was floating in the air even though I regularly change are heat pump filters. I decided I needed to do something and after researching several units here chose the Levoit for its feature set and specifications. I have not been disappointed. Even when we had work done on the house including dry wall and paint the Levoit air purifier was up to the task. Probably will buy a second one for the downstairs. I did not rate sleep mode only because I have not used that feature but I do schedule its operation using the phone app and that works very well. Only spoke to customer service once and they were quick to answer and addressed my questions promptly.

    This air purifier has worked well for us. My housemate is mildly allergic to cats and I have two. Increased exposure and this air purifier have really helped. Also have noticed a difference in dust (we have a lot in Arizona) and this keeps it under control. Friends who have stayed with us with dust allergies can tell a big difference.

    I ordered this originally in November 2019 and we’ve used it daily. Suddenly in June 2021 the buttons no longer worked and it would no longer turn on- I reached out to Levoit to see if there were any tricks or tips to get it to work and after a few emails they offered to replace it for FREE- I never expected that since I’d had it so long. I have three of these units and all three have quit working and had to be replaced under warranty. If you buy one of these units, be sure to register the warranty with Levoit, which extends coverage to two years. Also, if you live anywhere with thunderstorms or occasional momentary power outages DO NOT PLUG THESE AIR CLEANERS DIRECTLY INTO A WALL OUTLET. Instead, plug them into a quality surge suppressor and you probably won’t have the problems I have experienced.

    I bought this product pre-covid as I kept relapsing with colds. It worked really well, and I was using it daily. It started acting up a bit recently and then just died during a power outage. I tried researching online for solutions, but finally ended up contacting customer service via email. They responded really quickly, asked me a few questions, and asked me to send a picture or video to recreate the issue. I replied and sent a picture. I was hoping they would be able to tell me how to fix it, but instead, they sent me a new replacement! I am very impressed with their purifier and their customer service. Thank you, Todd!!     This is a fantastic product Although I did not need the Wi-Fi capability, so I purchased a less “smart” model when I bought the second purifier. This purifier was in a dog room, running 24 hours a day, with 11 dogs. I changed the filter more frequently than recommended because of the amount of dust and hair. The purifier did an amazing job, but after 20 months, it stopped working. I had the two-year warranty The extra year is added if the product is registered after you purchase it So I highly recommend that you take the extra step to register your purifier. The customer service at the company was outstanding, and making a warranty claim was easy and painless. A new purifier was mailed to me within 48 hours of filing the claim. I cannot say enough good things about the product, the warranty, and the customer service.

    This thing works! Our old apartment had poor ventilation, I’m talking about a fake “oven vent” that led to nowhere. When you cooked that smell would linger around forever but this not only helped with common dust and allergens, including our cat, but it eliminated all cooking smells! Thank you to Levoit for sending a replacement. They stand by their product and with good reason. I fully intend to purchase a few more smaller units for the other rooms in our new home.

    Old review – machine was replaced!
    The machine has completely stopped working after a year of daily use. When plugged in all lights on the display are lit up and buttons are unusable. The filters were changed as directed but after the most recent change it was stuck with the filter door light open despite it being closed and checked multiple times. Shortly after that is when it stopped working entirely.

    Save your money and purchase another brand.

    I’ve had this unit for 15 months. It stopped working and is unresponsive. I’ve loved it and noticed it stopped working immediately because I could tell a difference in the air in our bedroom. We have a dog and I’m sensitive to animal dander. It makes a big difference in air quality. I called Levoit customer service, I was on hold about 7 mins before I spoke to a person. She asked me to send her an email with the order # (I sent a screenshot of my amazon order), photos/video of the issue and description of what was going on. I was outside of the 1 year warranty window so I didn’t expect them to do much but I thought I’d try. Within an hour I received an email that a request was submitted to have a new unit sent to me. 3 days later I got an email with the FedEx tracking # for the replacement unit. I will always buy Levoit from now on. Their products work and they back them!

    This is an excellent air purifier. I’ve loved it from the moment I plugged it in. I just leave it on auto 24/7. It’s really spectacular and detects all kinds of air pollution, especially smoke. It’s very quiet. The filters are pricey but last a very long time. The app is a nice way to check the life of the filter, but I otherwise don’t use it much because I leave the machine on auto all the time. But 8 months after I bought it, it just stopped working. Wouldn’t turn on, though I tried all the troubleshooting tips. So I emailed Levoit to see if I can get it replaced under its one year warranty. All I had to do was take a picture of the product info and submit a video of the purifier not turning on. Within a week or so, I had a new machine. Amazing customer service and totally painless. If you’re looking for a great purifier at a relatively affordable price, I really suggest you buy this.

    I have purchased three of these so far for different rooms in our house. I generally keep them in “auto”mode all the time. That mode is very quiet, and they’ve worked very well. We live in a very dusty climate and have pets. The other day, I noticed that the most recent one that I bought wasn’t working right. I thought maybe the filters were dirty, so I changed the filters. When I was done with that, the unit wouldn’t turn back on. I tried all of the steps to clean everything, thinking that maybe that was the issue, but nothing helped, so I called customer service to see if there was anything else I could try. They were very nice and they’re sending me a new unit. I’m giving this product the five star review because I haven’t had any problems with the other units that I purchased, and they were so helpful when I did have a problem.

    I’ve only had it for a day. I’ve had really bad spring allergies for almost 3 weeks: post nasal drip, itchy eyes, scratchy dry throat, dry cough, itchy skin. I got this yesterday, and my allergies are GONE! All GONE! My hay fever resolved in under 24 hours! Praise God! I ran this unit in a small apartment, right about 850 sq ft, and manually turned the purifier to high. I opened every room in my home, so the air would circulate. I kept all the windows and doors closed, because that’s obviously how the pollen got all in my home. It claims to clean up to 900 sq ft in 1 hour! I guess it did! I let it run on high for about 12 hours. I woke up today, and I felt way better. As a bonus, the whole house feels cooler due to the air circulation. I can run the AC less.

    I bought the core 200s model a few months ago for my bedroom because the cigarette/weed smoke from my neighbors was giving me asthma attacks. The core 200 made such a difference but it was too small to handle my entire apartment so I bought this model a few weeks ago and I’m so impressed!! First off it’s so much quieter than the core 200s. If the scream wasn’t lit then I honestly wouldn’t know it was running that’s how quiet it is. It has an auto mode that chooses the speed based on your air quality and it actually rates your air quality and displays it on the screen. The 200s does NOT rate your air quality. You can definitely tell the air quality difference running this fan. Idk how but my apartment used to be so dusty to the point that you could see the dust on my keyboard each morning. Since running this new fan there is a noticeable reduction in the dust on surfaced. Really the number 1 benefit is that I haven’t had an asthma attack in my apartment in months and my dogs allergies are improving too. I’m looking forward to seeing how it handles the NorCal fire season.

    I’ve always used air purifiers as I have cats & (no judgments) I smoke. Moving into my new house which has our main TV room in the basement I was in need of a purifier that could cover a large area; not run on high non stop; & have a reasonable replacement filter cost. I did a bunch of research & found a ton of models that would filter my large area for a VERY large price. I love my other (older) Winix purifier because I can wash the filter instead of continuously replacing.
    The Levoit covers everything I wanted & more. I love that it’s smart – works with Alexa; & the app for my phone makes controlling it & setting schedules so easy! We have 2 smokers in the house; run the purifier 24/7 & after that my filter is still above 90%! I couldn’t ask for more!

    It’s been so far so good with this Air Purifier. I purchased this unit because I’m already using and familiar with it’s VeSync software. (It helps not to have 5 different softwares to run 5 different things.)

    I feel people tend to push electronics as if they’re not made of plastic and vulnerable to over use. So my Levoit comes on downstairs automatically from 5PM-6PM and 3:00 AM-3:30 AM and 9AM-10AM. The notion is to run it ‘enough’ to take out the dander and cat litter odors of four cats. We rise late and have our coffee right after 10AM so we almost never hear this filter running. When we do we it’s running on the medium setting and kinda quiet.

    I was impressed enough with this to purchase extra filters right off. A pair are reasonably priced enough.

    My concern is the legitimacy of the Filter Life reports. My filter started working Feb 1st. With the regimen described above I’m (March 22nd) at 96%. Let’s for the sake of argument call that 2.5% filter usage per month. Presuming the ‘clogging’ of the filter doesn’t accelerate the more it ‘clogs’ up — this one filter will last 40 months. That’s over 3 years! Which means the filters I bought may not be necessary because the unit might break before I get to the last filter! lol

    If the above math is true this is fairly awesome by any measurement. Why I’m a little troubled is before I did this math I did something a little… cheap. At 97% filter cleanliness I took the filter out and vacuumed it. I thought, hey, if I do that I may get longer use out of it. To my surprise when I put the filter back in… still at 97%.

    This means one of two things —

    a. either the type of filter in use traps things so small they can’t be vacuumed back out
    b. the filter life readings are phony (either completely or a math estimate vs. filter sensor readings)

    Someone smarter than I might be able to determine if these filters have sensors or not.

    This air purifier is the best air purifier I’ve ever used. The mobile application is easy to use, not to mention it makes it extremely convenient to manage settings and check on the filter life. The filters last a surprisingly long amount of time and the unit has made a noticeable improvement to the indoor air quality in our living spaces. It’s even capable of cleaning cooking smoke out of the air extremely quickly, even though the kitchen is a room away.

    Unfortunately, following cleaning the particle sensor, the unit failed to power on. I contacted Levoit support and they were friendly, got back to me quickly and fully covered replacement of the unit once I sent supporting information. Because of this service and the performance of the original unit, I just bought a second unit for use in other areas of my house.

    I understand the price may seem a little high, but it is well worth it.

    The air purifier is doing a great job. I made burgers inside on the stove last night and for the first time it sensed the air quality deteriorating and color sensor changed. It went from whisper auto to high and through the color ranges to red/bad. Normally I would have had to open the a window fully and use the stove exhaust AND bathroom exhaust and the smoke detector STILL usually goes off anyway because it’s very sensitive. Last night I just cracked the window and had the 2 fans and the air purifier going. It stayed red for about 20 min. It did a great job (the activate charcoal filter and true HEPA) helping clear the smoky air. The smoke alarm never went off!!!! Wahoo!
    I haven’t had to dust the tv stand area near the unit since we got it and usually I have to dust every other week. I think it was well worth the $180. I the only time I see sparkly dust floating in the sunlight anymore is right after we pull the toilet paper roll. Ha ha we have a bird in the living room and sometimes we can smell the dust and dander a little bit in the living room but we don’t anymore. They estimated 6-8 months for replacement of the HEPA and charcoal filters and I bought a set of 2 on here with it for $50. So depending on how much it has to run and the speed… MAYBE a $50 a year maintenance. We have been running it for 3-4 weeks and the app shows 96% filter life still. It has a filter alert on the machine and in the app so you’ll know when it’s time. Very happy I chose this unit after all of my research.

    For starters I was impressed with the ‘solid’ feeling build of this as soon as I removed it from the box.

    I already had pm2.5 monitoring for my air quality, and was looking forward to seeing how this device performed. While it wasn’t a scientific study the average air quality improved about 20% throughout the entire house, and spikes from cooking or outdoor fires in the fall were quickly handled by the auto-sensing fan speed setting that can increase the airflow based on the air quality.
    Sleep mode is almost silent. If you have a forced air heating/air conditioning, this unit is still much quieter in sleep mode than when the furnace or AC is running.

    The mobile app is a 3rd party app, but is pretty decent. A “% remaining” is displayed for the life of the air filter. It also allows scheduling of fan speeds on a per day or repeating days schedule, which allows for higher fan speed and noise during the middle of the day, and automatically switch to a low/quiet speed during the morning/evenings/night. The auto-sensing function still works during a schedule. Importantly while running a schedule it will automatically adjust for more or less filtering fan speed if there is a sudden spike in bad air quality, and will then return to the scheduled speed when the air quality returns to a lower level.

    Even at low speed the unit is quiet enough to not be noticed over the regular household background noise.

    I was not expecting this unit to be of such great quality and performance, and after almost 2 months now it has continued to impress.

    July 2019 I had a serious respiratory issue after replacing all the windows in our home. A friend sent me this model Levoit air purifier (and another model later) after nights of uncontrollable coughing (I was put on nebulizers, asthma meds., given a shot of heavy duty antibiotics; I did get better but still have occasional issues with my back from sitting up in the middle of night violently coughing). We were looking into purchasing a hospital/commercial grade that would have cost several thousands of dollars, but after trying this one next to my bedside, I ended up purchasing 2 others last year (different sizes for different rooms) as well as this one this year as a gift for my mother. These purifiers have cut down on dust that accumulates on furniture and in my floor vents as well as has kept my home AC filters cleaner longer. I have replaced the filters 2-3 times and always follow the instructions for maintaining the machines. I am a little OCD about cleaning my home but thank goodness no more coughing.

    I really loved this air purifier…until it stopped working less than a year after I purchased it off of Amazon. Noise level was tolerable, and did a great job helping with my allergies. However, a couple of days ago it suddenly no longer turned on. I have tried changing the filter and resetting the unit according to the provided instructions, however the unit remains stuck on a sort of standby screen (see provided image) and I am unable to press any of the buttons or get the unit up and running. I have contacted the manufacturer (unfortunately they can only be contacted via email) and am waiting to hear back, so I will update this review once I have heard from them.

    UPDATE: Customer service got back to me immediately, and shipped me a new unit free of charge! It arrived within a week and is so far working great. Hopefully the new unit works for longer than the original one! Great customer service!

    Was a great product until it stopped working less than a year after I bought it!

    We purchased this LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier to replace an older air purifier that finally died on us. And since the unit is in our bedroom, we wanted a quiet yet effective air purifier. We were pleasantly surprised at just how quiet this unit is, especially when compared to our older unit! And because the unit is integrated with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, you can control the unit without having to leave the toasty comforts of your bed! For example, you can change the speed or turn the unit ON/OFF via voice commands. The front panel displays settings and will alert you to a filter change when necessary. The only negative we have is that the blue lights on the unit’s face are difficult to read in bright sunny locations; no issue at night. We are very happy with this air purifier and recommend it highly!

    Please Note: The main photo being displayed makes it appear that this unit comes with a remote controller. It does not. What is being depicted in the photo is a cell phone to control the unit via Google Home or Amazon Alexa voice controls.

    We do a lot of high-temperature cooking in our household (searing steaks and stir-frying in a steel wok), and the smoke and smells generated from this can be cloying even with a vent hood going full blast. This air filter clears out all the smoke in about 30 minutes on the highest setting, and greatly reduces lingering food smells. It’s a godsend during the winter when opening a window may not be practical.

    This really is a great air filter. It’s quiet, doesn’t need much upkeep aside from regular filter changes, and it’s WiFi capable, allowing me to control it via the VeSync app even when away. Very satisfied so far!

    If I had to knock it for something, it would be the touch controls. They were bubbling right out of the box. They still function even after 5 months of continuous use, but it’s a noticeable blemish on what is otherwise a sleek looking appliance. So one star off for that, if only because it raises some doubts about longevity.

    One of the only air purifiers I could find with smart features – and most of the others were several hundred dollars more. The smart features are amazing on this item – you can set a schedule to automatically turn on / off every day, use your phone as a remote at any time, and check the filter life from the app. All great features.

    Also love the auto – feature. Runs almost silently until it detects a change in air-quality and then it adjusts the fan speed to compensate for a few minutes until air quality is good again. Have noticed this when we spray Febreze or something else in the air, it will turn up the fan for a few minutes.

    Overall very satisfied. Runs very quietly. Been running for about 3 months and still at about 80% filter life, so would expect a filter to last 8-12 months in our home usage. Seems to purify the air well. Overall really satisfied with this purchase.

But, yesterday, it just completely died. Like won’t even turn on via the app or in person. Of course I’m just out of the 90 day warranty window, so I’m out over $200 with a spare filter. Was good the short time it lasted. If you aren’t concerned about durability and don’t mind wasting $$$ then this is for you!

    After contacting the manufacturer and some back and forth, they sent a brand new unit. The new unit is working well so far. Definitely would give an improved rating overall but longevity of the air purifier is tbd. Will update the review down the road.

    Great Device with a high Failure Rate, but Good customer Support

    Update (2021-02-16) 2nd of original 2 devices has failed the same way as the 1st.

    I bought 2 of these air purifiers loving things that connect to WIFI, and living in California with spring allergies.
    They do excellent at cleaning a room (I think the carbon filters are overkill – but no biggie.)

    On high they keep the air in a room circulating, but do put out a fair amount of noise – could double as a white noise machine if you want that. The App seems a slight bit janky, but works as expected. on low they are basically silent – and on auto they self select a speed based on detected air quality. If were are cooking up a storm they can go into overdrive for example.

    I ran 2 of them on high for around 6 months, and then adjusted them to auto as the seasons changed to a socal winter- a few weeks later i was certain something was wrong with one of them as it was constantly going from bad air to totally clean air along with the change in noise level that brings. (Sounded a bit like the ocean – noisy then quiet, noisy, then quiet.) I went to clean it out and replace its filter for a second time and per the instructions cleaned the air sensor (little optical sensor accessed from the side of the unit) and when i plugged it back in it wouldn’t turn on. Tried all the things and was stumped.

    Contacted support with my amazon receipt – and some pictures of the dead unit + its control panel – they said normally they would send me a replacement, but due to covid had none in stock. They ended up sending me a amazon gift card for the value – and I’ve already got a new one on order from this very page.

    Its probably not the best air filtration money can buy, BUT it is excellent for reduction of particulates, and reduction of allergens. It connects to wifi and is controllable via app, alexa, and google home – it can be set with timers, and be left on all the time in auto mode, or sleep mode – it can live next to your bed or in your living room – being a nice square thing it fits in more places than the common round filters.

    Honestly despite my 50% failure rate I would go for it again (I literally have by buying an identical replacement)

    Low device quality, but good support.

    Up and running very quickly – the instructions were very good. The App is very nice and allows great control of the unit, though I don’t see a way to customize notifications? I have not had to use it in a really dirty environment, so it is running on Auto and is too quiet to hear. However, if a room was bad, and the unit was on full, I can see how it would be effective – the fan really ramps up, and a lot of air is moved through the filters.

    The display on the unit will also indicate air quality by changing the blue light. The unit is also discrete (small), and looks very nice. Will have to see how it goes over time, but I highly recommend this unit.

    Update 01/14/2021: Unit has detected bad air a few times (burnt toast, frying oil, etc) and does a great job of quickly detecting it and ramping up! Also, there is noticeably less dust on surfaces (that might be worth the cost of filters right there!).

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor the past few weeks, our neighborhood has been drowned in a thick layer of smoke thanks to the many fires going on in California. 2020 has not been kind to California as air quality got so bad that the sky was orange for a full day, ash rained down for consecutive days, and air quality dipped into hazardous levels as a heat wave rolled through. Although we had all of our windows and doors shut, the air quality was still not great indoors. The Levoit air purifier helped make our indoor air much more breathable. The unit operates very quietly, and even on the highest setting was not all too loud. When set to “sleep” mode, the filter is barely audible, but still worked at keeping the air clean and pure indoors. Within a few hours of turning the unit on, everyone’s sinuses started feeling much better and our eyes were not quite as dry feeling. Even after the air quality improved, we left it on to help with our son’s allergies. The purifier works fantastically, and it can even connect to our Alexa so we can control it without having to walk up to it. This is absolutely solid air purifier and is something we should have purchased years ago.

    I love this purifier. I bought it in late January 2020. It works very well in out bedroom. We have large long-haired dogs, and keeping allergens down in the the bedroom was a must.
    But… it just died mid October 2020. The touch screen is totally unresponsive. I’ve tried everything except taking it apart to figure it out. Levoit is not accepting calls to customer support, due to the West Coast fires. I have an email in to them for help.
    Amazon’s product help goes straight to contact info for Levoit, so no help there.
    I will update this rating if/when I hear back from Levoit. Wish me luck.

    Update:
    Changing my rating to 4 stars, based solely on Levoit’s customer service. They’re in California. Due to the fires, they can’t answer phone calls to customer support (IDK why, that’s what the message said). But they did answer my emails very quickly. Downside: there’s no fix for my machine, and they can’t send a replacement (again, I’m guessing because of the fires). But they are refunding most of my purchase cost.
    Now, I need to decide whether it’s a good bet to buy another one.

    I believe this filter really works. I was worried at first because several reviews said they put theirs outside where the air was crap and it still said it had good air quality. I haven’t put mine outside but I know it works. It is in a discrete corner of my room and when I am across the room squirting 2 spritz of perfume on, the air quality indicator turns yellow or red. When I take a shower the air quality indicator turns yellow or red not sure why that is. I feel like it does a lot. I haven’t noticed a whole lot sleep wise but I have allergy wise. However it isn’t for multiple rooms. I can put this in my bedroom or my living room or kitchen but it doesn’t cover more than 1 space. The replacement filters are cheap too! I literally run mine 24/7 if feels like and it has really lasted. You can hear it when it’s on but on it’s highest fan setting it sounds like white noise and doesn’t even deter me when I’m watching tv or doing homework or work.

The status light was a blue and you could barely hear it running unless you were right next to it. I cooked fried potatoes in a carbon steel skillet, which kicked up a bunch of smoke. Within a minute or two the unit kicked in and started running faster. Within about an hour or two most of the smell from cooking was gone. Before when I cooked, it would take at least a day with windows open to clear it out. I am impressed.

    I mostly got this for COVID since my daughter is going back to school two days a week on-site. According to an article I read on NPR, hepa air purifiers can reduce the viruses in the air by 50%. The fact that it takes the cooking smell out of the air is an added bonus and worth the price for that alone.

    After reading some recent reviews, I was nervous about ordering a unit, but went ahead and did it anyway. Thanks to Prime, I had my air purifier the next day which is a lot sooner than I would have received it from any other competitor. At first I was nervous that I had also received a used product as the box was taped up in a ‘let’s shove everything back in and quickly return it kind of matter, BUT I was wrong. Everything was neatly in the box and sealed in original packaging. I was able to to set it up, connect it to VeSync on my phone, and my Amazon Alexa devices in a matter of minutes. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the levels of laziness I can achieve with controlling the unit and that’s not even including the fully customizable on/off schedules I just built using the app . As for sounds, this machine is very quiet! I thought Low was quiet, and I realized how mistaken I was once I turned on the night setting. I had to get up and check that the machine was still on, that’s how quiet it was. I would say that the high setting was comparable if not quieter than running a small air conditioner. As for actual actual air quality / purifying I’ll have to follow up to this review as this is day one. My entire home is approx 600 sq ft so we’ll see how this holds up in my living room. Also, bonus points to the company for not only providing a 1 year warranty, but allowing you to extend it to 2 FOR FREE. I hope I never have to use it, but it’s nice knowing that my investment is protected.

    I have only had this air purifier for a day, but I’m already impressed!

    Setup was a breeze. Unbox it, take out the filters and unwrap them, put them back in, plug the device in. Then, if you want smart control, install the app, it basically automatically connects the purifier for you, and lets you log into your Amazon account if you want to control it with Alexa (you do, since the Alexa control for it is extremely solid).

    I do believe that the room that the purifier is in began feeling more “fresh” within hours. The “Sleep” mode is EXTREMELY quiet, low is still fairly quiet while moving a good bit of air, medium is like an average room fan and moves lots of air, and high is a bit noisy but pushes far more air than you’d expect considering that it’s having to pull all of that air through multiple filters (a coarse pre-filter for dust/hair, the HEPA filter for smaller particles, and an activated carbon filter for odor). I expected to either have to deal with a lot more noise or a lot less airflow!

    My only concern is the long-term cost of filters. The filters are supposed to last quite a long time, and the pre-filter that should get the most dirty the fastest should be able to be vacuumed out (for large dust particles and hair), though $30 for replacement filters does seem a bit steep (the replacement pack comes with all of the filters, at least). I wouldn’t dock a star for that, though, as this seems to be pretty universal in the world of air purifiers, since the filter is what makes it so that you aren’t just using an expensive fan.

We don’t even have air filters in the duct system because it’s a crappy mobile home so there’s always dust, always. The carpet is old, we can’t afford to replace it, only clean it. We have kids and dogs… I was so tired of coming home every day to a stinky house!! I had deliberated on a air purifier for a long time. They used to be so expensive and not really work. This really works!!! You can see the nastiness in the filter. It sucks up all the odors… Dog pee, teenage boy funk, gym shoes, dirty laundry, food etc… I come home to a fresh smelling home every day. We have had it for four months and have not had to change the filter yet. I went ahead and got a backup filter to have on hand when the time does come. But it looks like I will only have to change it every six months!!     Works pretty good so far. Love the wifi feature. I can control it from any room. However, I would recommend the app adding features or something to tell us the air quality in the room like is it on red, green, blue? Knowing the air quality would be GREAT! Cause that’s what I want to know not just the filter quality/percentage. The noise level is actually pretty good too. It doesn’t bother me. Not entirely sure or confident that it is cleaning the air though. Is there a way to tell? You can’t always tell if it is actually cleaning the air cause sometimes I see dust on top of the purifier. Overall, for it’s price, it’s pretty good and I would recommend it. It’s not bad. I am still observing to see if any new improvements have been made using it.

    This unit is the one with wifi and due to volume it can handle we use in the apartments living room.

    My review may change after continued use.

    First step is to open the back removing filters that are in plastic inside. The putting the black carbon filter first, followed by the hep filter.

    Then set up WiFi with the app it says. Creat account, pick your local WiFi to connect to, done.

    It will then do a firmware update of the unit if not upto date.

    After it asks if you have third party control… I picked Alexa…. google is also an option as well as others.

    It then goes to amazon account to login, it will auto ask for permission so Alex is connected remotely. No need to go to your Alexa app.

    Done.

    Carbon filter. Higher grade then most units with cloth type. The canon filter is in a plastic frame the same size as the hepa. It has full carbon pellets in it. You can hear them whe you shake it.

    Hepa filter has a prescreen built on. Much more then cheap foam type, but rather a close weaved plastic like material.

    I will try other replacement filters later but worry they will not have the high quality carbon one. Which so far filters smoke and dust much better then my other hepa filter.

    If you don’t wanna read my story, get a hint for filter life renewing at the end. But I do Love that it gets rid of kitchen and other odors (smells) so quickly. I have now even one by the kitchen, just to kill the cooking smell before it reaches the rest of the house. Tones it down quick, even before it starts. I have three (3) of these machines from Levoit. I havent tried any other generic filters personally that fit, mainly due to the odor reduction I know that is top quality in these. I’d like to add these have inspired me in so many ways. I now also have a $1000.00, IQAir HealthPro Series that is equal to none (other than the odor reduction these baby’s do) for… I don’t dust my ceiling fans every month, anymore. Maybe… maybe, like every 3 months. And even then they look like 2 weeks, used too!) I purchased it after… these. My wife and I have noticed as a matter of fact, believed to be (for sure to us) by these Levoits (no kiddin) everyone in our home has for sure, gotten less sick, less frequently over the last year that we placed these in our home. I for sure feel better, but to understand why I know for sure, read my backstory below this… Otherwise, just get these filters and keep what ya have, what it is… You do have a Levoit, don’t you?
    O.K., I was born with asthma and was given 6 (six, dangit!) allergy shots from the time I was 8… till stinkin another crap place in life…. puberty.
    And allergies, almost took my life once at birth. I was saved only by incubation, by doctors in 1974. Unknowing how or what they did, to save me. (They let my lungs develop is what they did!) And being a June baby, my guess is, pollen reduction by July probably helped. And it happened then again in the late spring of 1979. I was almost 5 yrs old and came down with pneumonia, that almost got me again. Now looking back, I’m pretty sure my pneumonia caught in the warm month of May, was caused by allergies.. which caused my chronic asthma. And which left me totally unconscious the first week of hospitalization. And unknowingly again saved by the doctors in my second week! With oxygen! When I came too, I survived a few years more until a cure?!?! that came in the way of the development of allergy shots! “What the Flux Capacitor are you talkin’ bout, Willis?!”
    At 8 yrs old I was so thrilled, about recieving shots (every Wed.), that I wasn’t sure that the alternative I’d have to face without them, might just not be a reprieve. Even better! grrr. I later later learned, after watching others go in and out of that awful doctors revolving door. Was that every Wednesday, Allergy Shot day, had an even more gruesome terror in store! I, not him or her, was getting 6 (six! dag-nab-it!), to everyone elses, 1 (one) shot! My pediatrician of awesomeness, literally had to come tear me out of my mother’s car on the next visit. Like your dad, would! Just was shorter in stature and had an Indian accent. And shouting at me with a scour in his voice about no one would die under his care, and blah blah blah, did I wanna die. And blah blah blah. Thank you, Dr. Shaw. Yea, yea.. I never tried that again. And yes, saved my life. But at 8 yrs old, I was so like… Biiig Deeaal, doc.
    My point of all this is that I’m not here taking the time to right this for nothing. I truly did not know how badly, I myself, needed this. And I can honestly now affirm, I did not know how badly my family did, either. Until looking back and the events to follow. HEPA filter-ing our home has been one of the greatest purchases I have ever made, second only to T.V..
    Have you ever looked out the window where the sun’s glaring in and seen the dust particles floating around? I have all my life too! I am now proud to say after only the first 6mo., I no longer did! And we still do not. Dont see even a spec. Not a spec. No benefits to you, or myself, to be untruthful. No ones sadly, giving me anything to write this.
    I have been inspired through the use and time it’s given. From the purchase date, of our Levoit’s, air quality has sky rocketted.
    I now make everyone take their shoes off at the door and have also been motivated to purchased, what is a very good Vaccuum Cleaner. With a HEPA filter at the discharge end, changed at regular-ish, o.k. sluggish intervals… It too, has definitely been a benifactor in dirt and dust reduction.
    ((Hint)): If you take your Levoit outside, bringing along a very lightly dampened cloth. You can pull off the back to access the filter (where you would change it).You can then wipe off that thick layer of dirt film thats accumulated on your filters, awesome, pre-cloth and (might) even go one more round. I do this every 3 months, regardless. Not that I reccomend this, of course.. 😉 Mark R.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased 2 units at the same time. I had issues pretty much after I installed the Alexa skill, the units kept turning off. After working with support, I finally came to the conclusion that Alexa was causing the issue as I had placed each unit in their respected named rooms and Alexa would turn off the unit if I forgot to say LAMP when saying “turn off guest bedroom LAMP”. Alexa would turn off EVERYTHING. I have since placed them in a unique room named HEPA and have had no more issues.
    Amazon states these at H13 HEPA, Bit no where on the product or their literature does it state such. I asked support and they say they are H13, just strange they would not advertise this in this day and age as that is basically equivalent to medical grade filtration and is why I bought these units.

    I initially purchased this for my son’s room because he suffers from allergies. He has a pretty large bedroom, so I needed something for a somewhat larger space. After the first couple hours, boy could you feel the clean air in his room. So I immediately purchased a second one for our room. I immediately noticed that week that there was hardly any dust around. That is major! I really knew it was working after I had cleaned my son’s bathroom in the hallway, which is a good 75ft down the hall, and the light on it which indicates the state of the air, had turned red. It was from the cleaning sprays I had used in the bathroom. I turned it on to full power, and in less than 10 minutes, the air quality was back to “very good”. Since that time, I also noticed that it will turn red when I vacuum, due to stuff getting blown around in the air. The wi-fi feature is awesome. At night I can turn my son’s air up and down as he sleeps, and if I need to adjust ours, I can reach for the phone and not have to get out of bed. I can’t say enough good things about this machine.

Whilst it may not pick up all dust particles as there is still settling dust on surfaces, it still does a very good job. The pictures attached show a used filter vs a brand new one. I am still shocked at how much dust and dirt it has managed to pick up which has really shown me the importance of such a device whilst living in a city. I will certainly be using this seller again once i require a new one.

    Update to review, one year after use. The unit had been working reliably for over a year when it stopped functioning (none of the control buttons were responsive). I contacted the company and they were extremely helpful and very prompt. After acknowledging the problem, they immediately shipped a replacement unit. Soon after they informed me that the replacement unit would be sent, I replugged the unit and it started up! I wrote to the company to ask them to stop sending me a replacement. They informed me that the replacement had already been shipped and for me to keep it in case I run into problems with the current unit. I am very pleased with their responsiveness and service. I have 4 Levoit Air Purifiers and no problem with any of the others after over one year of use.

    April 2020 – Just got the unit. Very easy to set up and operate. Whisper quiet. I bought the unit which is Wi-Fi enabled and controllable through VeSynch. However, the Levoit WiFi operates only on 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency. I have 5 GHz frequency and so, cannot use the WiFi feature. Unfortunately, narrow operating regime of WiFi not advertised. Truth in advertising please! Dont waste the $10 extra dollars it costs to get WiFi enabled unit if your home WiFi is not 2.4 GHz.

    So far it’s very, very good. App works great, compared to our Blueair 203 it’s almost compact size, look at the attached picture. Looks modern.
    One day I was doing small remodel in bathroom, taking off tiles from foor, and few times passed Levoit on my way to kitchen. Unit was on auto mode. Suddenly the unit changed color from blue to green, then yellow, and red. It went from barely moving air to its highest setting. After maybe 15 minutes everything went back to normal. I did few more tests, standing next to it, waking by, etc. It was able to sense tiny particles from my clothes in air. Of course the clothes were full of dust, taking off tiles is dirty job, I just didn’t realize how much of that stuff I was leaving behind.
    Same thing happened, when my wife was frying something in the kitchen, the unit went crazy, and it’s not even in kitchen. You don’t realize, but we breath all that nasty stuff.
    Anyway, love the auto mode. On other settings it’s louder, of course, but it’s expected and better than other units. So far very good. Very happy.
    If I could add or change something, that would be alert send to phone when Levoit senses something in air and changes settings.
    Also, some kind of clip to keep filter in place, because it’s built that way, that there is nothing holding it except it’s frame. Which is good for normal use. But my 5 yo was running and kicked it by accident, filters moved inside and for a while air inlet was blocked.
    Last thing, maybe it’s just my unit, but air that is cleaned comes out to one side, not straight up. It bothers me a little. Just a little.
    I’m very glad, that after years of using Blueair we gave a chance to Levoit. Now we plan on buying their smaller unit for bedroom. Hope it’s as good.

    Auto mode is fantastic!

    Got 2 smaller levoit units, went for this one for a open plan downstairs. This is really good, it clears the air from cooking smells and the rooms are not so dusty anymore. It has a auto function and works well so no mucking about with settings. Also you can use a phone app to control and see air quality but to be honest apart from changing the filter twice a year the unit does not need touching at all.

    LEVOIT your purifiers are the best 🙂

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am a smoker. I smoke in a heated garage, 20′ x 22′ x 7′ with a TV. After 4 or 5 cigarettes I would have to raise the garage door to leave the second hand smoke out but also letting in the cold air. So I bought this unit. It cleans the smoke and I no longer have to raise the garage door. Wow, It really works.

    In auto fan speed mode, a color LED changes after a couple of cigarettes indicating it senses the smoke and automatically increases the fan speed. This illustrates to me it is working. If it does this for smoke particles it should work for pollen. My adult son has allergies so I am going to buy him one.

    The fit and finish and quality is great. It has many features and they all work as expected. The phone APP installed easily and it works great as well. The instructions are good & readable.

    I think one reason it works well is the large filter area. The filters (the unit has two types) should last a season from the usage readings I get from the display. Replacements are $30, reasonable. The two filter types it uses may explain why it works so well.

    Five star to me. Great company. Quality with regards to design, style, manufacturing and functionality.

    I’ve been through a good handful of these air purifiers and most have been true wastes of money. I was therefore predisposed to trying this one and returning it almost immediately once it disappointed. However, it so far has been quite good and cleared some cooking smells readily. But my favorite feature is the app: you literally can turn it on and off, plus other feature-controls, from your phone. Even when not on the same WiFi as the unit. Why is this cool? For the same reason that it’s neat to be able to turn on the heating or cooling for a Tesla before you get to the car — the air is already conditioned when you get home. In my situation this matters because the building that I live in is porous as heck, and I’ve often come home to the smell of my neighbor’s cooking. Now I activate the unit when leaving the office, and in most cases by the time I walk in the door, my place is unsaturated. It also lets you know when the filters have filled, and when you click on “Reorder” in the app, it opens the correct Amazon page to just order with a few clicks. I’ve only had this for about a week, so will add to this should my observations change after longer usage

    Excellent air purifier. Arrived well packaged. Quick start instructions preformed well. Instructions and reminders for removing plastic from internal filters and resetting replacement button are very difficult to over look, so if someone complains they didn’t know, it’s simply their fault. Exceptionally quiet. My wife has the hearing of a bat and even she said it was very quiet. Nice size, with a easy access and easy view display. Already has made a difference in air quality. I should qualify that by saying ours is a smoke free home, always has been. We keep doors and windows closed most of the year. We have a small dog. All of which adds up to not requiring this air purifier to have a major job to do. It’s the allergens that we are after.
    The only difficulty encounter was setting up the WIFI connection for the unit. Wound up having to call Levoit’s customer service to get the connection. They were absolutely great! Friendly and efficient. Kudos to those folks. I will say that a part of the potential WIFI setup issue is the instruction wording which is misleading. Should you have difficulty making the connection with you unit, call customer service. DO NOT CALL product support from Amazon. They are useless.
    WIFI is really nice in that it gives you programing options that you would otherwise not know about. It also allows you to download a digital manual from which a lot of information and instructions are available that are not included in the manual, although there is a QR code in the manual which upon scanning with a smartphone will download the digital manual to your phone or tablet.
    Replacement filters run $57 total for the two that are required. Yes, there are cheaper versions but this is one of those things where you get what you pay for. Why spend the money on a quality air purifier only to use cheap replacement filters?
    Extremely happy with this.

I live in a small 800 sq ft downtown apartment with this purifier sitting in the living room. I have it on automatic mode and it will change to a higher speed when simple things like blowing out a candle or my tea kettle whistles. After just 5-10 min it will slow back to the lowest level when the air is deemed back to “very good”.

    The VeSync application for my Levoit purifier runs well and is easy to use on both my iPhone and iPad. Love the functionality of multiple schedules, child lock, device alert (tone when turns on or off), and can turn of the display so no light to disturb sleep.

    Appliance is quiet overall – at its highest speed it is still less noisy than a box fan at medium speed.

    NOTES – I have mine scheduled to run one hour on and two off for a total of eight hours a day. Air quality is normally at “very good” with the appliance running almost silent. While this was rated for a 320 sq foot area I have it in an area closer to 500 sq ft and I’m still impressed tho others may have a different experience.

    This is one of the best purchases that I have ever made as a homeowner. I highly recommend it and wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

    We have four dogs and three cats in our home. I’m asthmatic and have bad seasonal allergies. I’m thankfully not allergic to my pets, but I’d obviously prefer to keep dander and hair to a minimum. Two of my dogs are breeds that are notorious for breathing issues – a pug and an English bulldog.

    Our house tends to be the hangout spot in the summer, and I bought the purifier right before our 4th of July party. I was worried that vacuuming and steam cleaning weren’t going to be enough for the large amount of company that we were having. It arrived the day before, and everything was great when everybody made their way over.

    My two main concerns were the air quality in my home, and trying to keep my house from smelling like cats and dogs. Using this purifier, in addition to keeping a regular cleaning schedule, has made the smell of animals almost nonexistent now. I feel like I’m breathing better, and I hope my four-legged buddies are as well.

    I spent a little bit more money on this one than some of the other I’ve looked at, and it was worth every penny. I can control it with my phone. I have the app and have also synced up IFTTT to automatically turn it on when the pollen count is high, and turn it up when the air quality drops to moderate in the house. I’ll be adding more shortcuts as I continue to expand my smart home gadgets.

    I feel like the sensors are pretty accurate. I have it in a central location in my home, between the kitchen, living room, and main hallway. It normally reads blue (best) or green (good.) It has dropped to moderate or bad air quality as a reaction to cooking smells, Febreeze, and cleaning out a nearby air vent. It neutralizes whatever it detects quickly.

    It’s also quiet, thankfully. The bulldog hates noise – he’s a rescue and I’m not sure what his life was like before we had him. He tries to attack vacuum cleaners and hair dryers, and can’t be in the same room with any noisy appliance. He tried to square up to this purifier a couple of times when I first turned it on, but he leaves it alone. It’s not any noisier than a floor fan.

    If you’re on the fence about buying this purifier, go for it. You’ll be happy that you did. It’s worth every last penny of the price tag.

    To pick up where I left off, I received the new one from amazon. The exact same thing happened. returned both for a full refund. I was contacted by Levoit customer service who immediately sent a new unit (3rd one in all, 2 amazon, 1 from Levoit.) I told them I already sent mine back to amazon for refund. They said that’s fine and I didn’t have to send a unit back to them. They have been more than responsive and helpful in this situation. The new unit, same model, came in different packaging. The unit looked exactly the same, and best yet ACTUALLY WORKED WITH WIFI. I have used it for a few weeks and it hasn’t disconnected yet. One thing I wish was that it had more function with Alexa than just “on” and “off”.

    Levoit customer service, was helpful and timely this whole time. They went above and beyond to solve this problem and I will buy from them again. I hope that if it turns out that a bunch of these units were defective that they be pulled form Amazon’s shelf as I shouldn’t have to try 3 units to get a working one.

    OLD REVIEW:
    This is what I was looking for. A smart, good looking air purifier for my room. Setup was easy and its nice and quiet. It moves lots of air as advertised, It synced up easily to Alexa and the VeSync app.

    When I was researching, I saw a review regarding a firmware update making all WiFi capabilities disappear. He couldn’t have been more correct. Ran the update and nothing worked again. May as well have ordered the non- smart version. Major disappointment since I bought the smart one so I could start it from home and come home to clean air, rather than it running all day and wasting electricity. I deleted it from the app, ran a reset on the device etc. nothing could get it going. I even adjusted some router settings.

    I reached out to Levoit support who said they’d get back to me in 24 hours and did not. I reached out to Amazon support who had me do everything I had already tried and they deemed the broken. They promptly sent me a new one and told me not to update the firmware. Hopefully they get this firmware issue fixed. If this Firmware issue got fixed it would be 5 stars for sure.

    Another thought, the Alexa commands for this thing are just on and off as far as I cant tell. No 50% or “set the air purifier to low” or “shut of the air purifier in 2 hours”. Maybe someone else has figured it out more so.

    SECOND UPDATE; Whisper quiet. I have to walk up to it to see if it is on. I guess it is working OK, the light is blue all the time. The company sent me a replacement and it does the same thing. Blue all the time, so I guess my house was clean and pure all along. This will keep it that way.

    Like: It is very quiet even on high. Not a bother to sleep at all.
    Dislike: I don’t think it is working. The light is blue all the time no matter what room I put it in. I put this thing through the paces such as: lit two candles right next to it and later blew them out. Put it in my craft room which is very VERY dusty. Put Tea Tree oil on a tissue and waved it over the top for several minutes. I even went so far as to open the door to the garage while the car was running. The ONLY time it turned red was briefly ( abot 90 seconds) after I put it in a small bathroom and cleaned the litter pan. The top of the machine was covered in dust this morning but but still never showed red. I cleaned the dust sensor lens TWICE and reset the button twice.
    The Levoit box had a big hole in the bottom but the Amazon box did not. Amazon should have never shipped that box out. Feel like I have been scammed.
    UPDATE: After a year, I feel like this is doing a great job. Within minutes after taking a shower, the light turns green or red. I found out that in the beginning, it will stay blue for a long time. It takes several attempts to make it turn green or red, but after that, it responds quickly. I feel like I am sleeping better by having it in my bedroom. So quiet I rarely notice it is running.

    Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersJust purchased this and installed it yesterday. Will have to wait to see whether it is reliable over the long term but so far so good. I purchased the WiFi version to install in a condo.
    Pros
    – Setup was very easy – remove the filters from their plastic bag and reinstall them, then setup the app on your phone or tablet and that’s it. It was done in 5 minutes
    – 4 fan levels (Low, Med, High + Night). Night level is extremely quiet. I am a light sleeper and cannot hear it.
    – the app gives you the ability to program the purifier to run on selected days at a selected time and a selected level. I am not sure whether this can be done on the standard (non WiFi) version. The control panel on the purifier itself gives you access to a timer
    – the control lights can be switched off — nice feature when you use the purifier in a bedroom at night
    – the purifier is small enough and the design is such that it is not an eyesore
    – it has an Auto mode that will switch to the lowest fan level based on air quality
    Cons
    – Replacement filters are not cheap
    – Unit price is on the high side for a medium capacity purifier

    Based on impressions so far I am considering buying another unit. Highly recommended.

    2. HEPA filter and all that good stuff.

    3. Night mode (for silent air filtration)…although some prefer the fan in high to create ‘white noise’ in the bedroom.

    4. You can control the device and set schedules through an app on your iPhone/Android device.

    5. It cleans the air as described…and works pretty fast on high. I have BAD allergies and immediately noticed a difference in the room just setting the thing up out of the box a few minutes later.

    6. It displays an air ‘color coded cloud’ LCD image that visually represents the air quality.

    7. IT WORKS WITH ALEXA!

    This is a top notch item. We have a baby on the way, probably getting another.

    Negatives: Not all the features work with Alexa, but the most important do. Perhaps they can release an update in the future that further enhances this function.

    Result: 9.7 out of 10. It’s about as perfect as you can get. I’m a firm believer of this device.

    Get it and you’ll be glad you did…

    The sleep setting is very quiet and turning off the display means no blue light pollution either.
    Lightweight and easy to move from room to room.

    Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAbsolutely brilliant. Saving up for a second one to save moving it from room to room, although it is not heavy. Even though our lounge is larger than the capacity, if we keep doors closed, this works brilliantly. My allergies when indoors, are gone. Better than medications for me. The only reason we don’t have it in the bedroom is we sleep with the window open (pollen/fly screen in situ).
