The bench looks attractive and is comfortable to sit on. I have only had it a month or so and so let’s see how it copes with our great British weather!
Love this bench, lovely colour contrast. But all the wood slats were same size, therefore I had to go out buy a saw & saw one to fit front of bench, apart from that lovely.
Instructions not great but if you’ve done any DIY before it’s ok
Only criticism would be that some of the slats for seat were warped but still looks great and is comfortable to sit on. Was half price so fair deal.
Initially gave one star for late delivery. The bench is sturdy and comfy but a bit compact.Easy to assemble and company communicated very efficiently when we had the initial problem.
It’s a very nice garden bench it is comfortable to sit on. There is only one problem. The top of the back panel has been put on with screws that are not stainless steel (it arrives with the back panel complete, so you do not have access to these screws to change them) and when it rains you get rusted water where the screws are. I have already had to sand it and put black hammerite on after it’s first shower of rain, I am resolving the problem by putting it into a shed when it’s not in use but that is really not ideal.
This bench is very comfy and sturdy. Looks very elegant aswell. Was very disappointed though one corner of the box was well damaged and when we opened it one of the cast iron scrolls was snapped we could click it back in no one will know only us so I little dissatisfied.
This ornamental bench certainly looks very elegant and once built, which is quite easy though I would recommend 2 people tackling the task, is moderately comfortable for a short sit. If you intend lounging on for any longer then use some cushions for your back/arms etc. Very good value in comparison to others available.
This is a preliminary review, as I have not yet assembled. Package arrived before due date, so that is impressive, especially as I got free delivery on this.
The package was in good condition, as were the items inside. Vulnerable parts were protected with styrofoam type cloth and bolts and washers contained within a plastic bag, secured to one of the parts.
The pieces themselves are not meticulously finished, but that was what I expected given the price of the item. However, the finish on them I believe is reasonable. The seating planks are more robust than I expected. I’m no expert on woods, but I think these are either pine or birch. They are thinly varnished on three sides only, but that’s OK – I can understand the manufacturer needing to keep costs down. I shall varnish them myself before assembly, especially the ends, which are obviously the most vulnerable to water penetration. The bolts, nuts and screws look to be fairly robust, although I may possibly find myself buying slightly higher quality screws, as I fear these might rust easily. The bolts and nuts are brass for the most part, although a couple of them are painted black, presumably to match the black of the ironwork. Nice surprise – the back frame is actually iron and not plastic as many others are. Good on you, guys! The parts are robust and the back panel is very pretty indeed. I think I might possibly overpaint the black with a different colour and if so, I will use Hammerite for its preservative qualities. That is not to say there is anything wrong with the current coating – mostly this is personal choice, but also, I think, being as this will be an outdoor item, it is as well to make extra provision for weather resistance. There will be a cover over this in bad weather, but that doesn’t prevent condensation under the cover.
I am not disappointed that there will be extra preparation work on this item – I expected it, given the very low price.
Pre-construction, I would remark that, if you don’t mind extra preparation work to ensure longevity then this is a good buy – I don’t believe you could buy the separate materials for the price charged for this. If you don’t like the idea of or don’t want additional works, I still believe the item is strong enough for a couple of years’ use, provided you put some sort of cover over it in bad weather. Our winters can be very cruel to things like this and even the higher end items would suffer badly if simply left without protection.
Maybe could av done with some help assembling
But me being a woman did do lol
It’s good bench well worth money

Used as a bench inside the Mausoleum/ I wanted it sturdier.

Good looking bench but needs more varnish on the slats.

Good value for money, slats are a little wide apart but seems comfortable enough. Easy to assemble.
Very sturdy chair and the wooden slats are comfy to sit on – excellent value for money

It is what it is, a cheap garden seat with a flat seat. For a shaped seat you have to pay more
I love the quality of this and it was easy enough to put together..looks fab in the garden.
