I’ve used this product for a few years, so when it went wrong. I immediately replaced with the same type. That speaks for itself.

Seem well made. Bought 3 but only one with a sensor. They are all still working after 18 months. When mounted high up the sensor only has a limited range and detection footprint but I was aware of that and the main 2 have a separate Sensor mounted at head height. This one just needs to cover a small area looking straight down and it manages that.

There’s not much to say about a PIR if it works fine, and this one does. Installation was easier than I’m used to, normally these things are frankly irritatingly bad design in terms of wiring up, but this one went quite smoothly.
If you have a long run of wire you’re going to need either a junction box (meh…outdoors) or to replace the wire inside the unit.

It’s bright “enough” although it’s 22W which isn’t 300W halogen equivalent, but then I never was a fan of those kinds of brightnesses, they just annoy neighbours, you don’t need it.

I’m going on a hunch that based on the IP rating and the other reviews that this may not be reliable in the face of heavy water ingress. If you’re using it in a very exposed location I would suggest maybe something more robust. It it’s partially sheltered you’re probably OK.

This is a really bright floodlight, which looks pretty good and which is much more energy efficient than a halogen equivalent. It was easy to install, my husband had it up very quickly as a professional handyman and electrician, but he said it wasn’t difficult to do at all. The floodlight has a motion sensor, which works really effectively when you walk by, triggering the light. We have had a lot of rain this year and I have noticed that the light looks a little fogged up – like with condensation after heavy rainfall, but so far it is still working well.

The first thing I noticed about the LED light was that it’s very lightweight but still appears like it will be durable and long-lasting. Although it’s similar to most other outdoor lights I’ve seen, the IP44 rating means that while it’s suitable for outdoors, it’s not completely waterproof so it’s best if there’s a roof overhang or some other protection where you’re putting your light.

The light is rated at 22 watts which is equivalent to a 300W bulb – which is pretty bright! It definitely lights up my back garden, usually when a cat crosses our grass! And it’s not a slow warm-up, either, like my old garden light; it comes on immediately and is as bright at the start as it is just before it goes off.

The pre-fitted cable is a very good addition but it may mean that a junction box is needed to connect the light’s cable to the mains. This is still far easier than wiring up the light from scratch so I’m happy with it.

Fitting the light to the building is easy especially if there is an available wall or wooden structure (eg bargeboard). I can’t imagine it’s that much harder if you have to drill it into brick or stone.

The adjustments for the time that the unit stays on, and the amount of light (or lack of it) before it comes on are small and difficult to adjust especially at 3m up the side of the building. Just be careful not to break them as they’re quite fiddly and it’s easy to get frustrated trying to adjust them just so.

So overall, this is a decent product that’s good value for money (25 at the time of my review) for what you get. The dials are a little bit fiddly but I feel that’s quite common for many floodlights. So I’m happy with this product and hopefully it will stay on the side of the house for a while. 4 stars from me.

Whilst floodlights cannot be described as stylish, this one actually tries very hard as it is no bigger than absolutely necessary and it has lost the typically boxy design, with its diagonal edges. However, the key feature of this floodlight is clearly not its style, but its ability to light a immerse a large area in bright light. With a 22W LED board, it does this very effectively and an added benefit is that the light is quite warm (3000K) so that it is also quite comfortable to sit in its shadows, in the warm spring or autumn evenings.

The floodlight is very easy to install, requiring only one or two screws (not included) and a basic (but safe) understanding of electronics. The floodlight comes with an inbuilt motion sensor which would hopefully help deter criminals by turning the light on when motion is detected (it also saves money by only turning on when necessary). The motion sensor can be angled through almost 180 degrees in a horizontal direction and 180 degrees in a vertical direction, so it is fairly flexible as to where it can be installed.

My only concern with this floodlight is that it is only rated as IP44, which basically means that it offers protection against water splashes. In a country where we often experience heavy, driving rain, this doesn’t seem like it would offer sufficient protection and I note that some users have experienced early failure due to water ingress. Only time will tell if my unit will suffer the same fate.

Quite easy to install and gives off a good bean of light when activated. It’s well made and sturdy enough. Coming pre-wired was very handy as all you need is a junction box to connect it.

I have only recently installed this so I’m interested to see how it fairs out with the winter weather conditions.

Easy to install for someone who knows how
Don’t mess with electricity unless you do.
Motion detection is pretty good given the size of the sensor.
The light packs a punch for something so small.
Haven’t had any issues with water yet…

We just decided to replace the light on my garage for this one and I am happy with the result.
Is no expensive and the light is just perfect for my garage that has space just for one car and the bicycles. I have the
    22W 3000K, Black.

We had a friend that is an electrician and helps with the installation well basically he instaled I think is safe that try to do by myself.
I like the design and looks resistant and well made, perfect for a garage and is indoor so no water around the lamp.
Is a perfect size and is no very heavy, and have a sensor so you will save money and time and is easy to go inside the garage without light.

We have this floodlight by our shed and enables us to walk up towards it then it comes on and gives enough light to see to open shed and put rubbish into bins. Fitting easy and enough wire for where we needed it to be fixed, the light emitted is bright but like most leds these days it lights not a massive area but a smaller one more direct than covering a larger area. Lightweight and bulb included not bad at all for the price and so far it has worked each time we have walked near the area to set if off and light up.

We’re very impressed with this as it’s just what we needed to replace our faulty security light. We had an electrician replace it for us as I’m not a fan of messing with anything of the electrical nature! It was very quick for him to install and already is much better and brighter and slightly bigger than the one we had before so it is much more effective. This is motion activated and very responsive. We use this outside our Garage so when it goes off we can see to get into our Garage and it works well, also good for keeping an eye on the property if it is activated at night and yyou’re not expecting anyone.

Recommended, good quality, waterproof and a decent motion sensor, would buy more.

I used this flood light to replace one already installed in my back garden, so the installation process was fairly simple – I’m not sure how easy it would be if starting from scratch, as the flood light requires a mains connection.

Initial impressions are that the motion sensor on the light provides adequate coverage for my small(ish) garden (approximately 10 metres by 6 metres in size). This is also the case with the light itself, which is bright enough to ensure I can see my whole garden, but isn’t too dazzling so as to be a distraction to neighbours.

I’m therefore very happy with the flood light to date and can recommend to anyone looking for something similar.

Have yet to install so will update if any issues once my electrician has done the job in the next two weeks but he has looked at it and said it looks all good and will suffice. There is also a pir sensor that can be adjusted.. (he said) lol.
Forgive the pretty basic review, I’m not great with electrics and there is a bit of a wait so wanted to give at least the opinion of my leccy. He did say it was a basic on the cheap side one and that the bulbs cannot be changed but that they can last and that they are easy to install so will update if anything changes once properly installed.
    Arrived quickly and well packaged

The light has arrived in small box, which makes the light and cable look very squished, especially the wire. I would suggest a bit bigger box for it.
Very good quality food light, easy to connect to main extended cable and install on the garage side wall ( light came with preinstalled 1m cable and wall fittings). Husband took care of wiring and drilling. He is very happy with this light even if he is not a fan of warm lights ( he prefers cool white). So far there is no problems with it. Sensor detects movement within 2- 3 meters, just what we needed. The light bracket is strong, well made, to open it, we had to loose the side bolts first and after setting up the light on the wall we tightened the bolts to stop light movements on the bracket. Life span of this light is stated at 30.000 hours, it is a good 3.5 years of non stop use 😉 but obviously no one wilp let it light up non stop so definitely should last many years more than that.. hopefully:)

    Nice flood ligh

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. I am pleased with this modern PIR floodlight, much smaller and slimmer than the old-style one I had previously fitted. The light itself is only 13.5cm x 10.5cm and 4cm thick, very well constructed with the sensor mounted underneath it and is adjustable for light (dawn/dusk) and length of time the light will come on for. The sensor mount has a full range of movement. It comes fitted with a metre of heavy rubber-coated cable.
Currently priced at 28.02 which is about average for a 22w lamp.
Once fitted it looks discreet and much better than the ugly lump of metal the old-style lights were, and is considerably cheaper to run being LED. Gives a decent throw of light, one lamp being enough to cover the back of my average size 3 bed semi for security purposes.

I got this Luceco Slim LED Flood Light with PIR Sensor to install on my Aunt’s garage driveway. The fitting seems to be quality and smaller than some I have been looking at. I checked the light output of 300W halogen.

The floodlight is easy to fix and mount comes with an attached length of cable. All in all, a good budget item that I hope will last its estimated life span.

This is definitely on the ‘compact’ size, much smaller than the old PIR lamp I have that is huge (and making lots of weird noises, on the way out). I rigged this lamp up on my workbench to test it out and I was pleased with the brightness of the light and the length of cable included.

The PIR sensor is pretty much standard in terms of sensitivity and has the usual night/day settings and timeout. The actual sensor is much smaller than my old light so the whole thing is going to fit into the same space very easily indeed. Even the fixing points are the same.

Finally, I noticed that the bracket is very sturdy indeed, totally unlike my existing thin, bendy steel that wobbles in the wind; I don’t think that will be a problem with this lamp at all.

All in all it’s all looking good and I’m just waiting for a warmer day so I can swap the lights out.

The version I received for review was the 22W/3000K model.

This light is very easy to instal.

    It has several good features:
-A very slim profile compared with old halogen equivalents
-The PIR sensor is very sensitive at short range
    -Low energy consumption
-It’s more than bright enough for a two-car driveway

If you have dogs, and use it for your back garden, you would be able to see them at a fair distance.

You will need a junction box to set it up, so that’s an extra cost if you don’t have one spare.

It’s rated at IP44, which is splash proof, not waterproof; the only way to find out is the hard way, so I’d recommend mounting underneath a suitable lip on the house (the slim profile helps here).

A few negatives, though nothing major:
-The PIR sensitivity drops off quickly as you get further away (my older model’s better in this respect; it’s adjustable, but there’s not much difference between the settings
-The light output is too warm in my opinion – it’s closer to 4500K
-I would prefer something with a genuinely rated higher output, giving a better overall light
    — you can get a 5000K version of this one for only an extra 2

Still, a decent bit of kit at a good price.

Used to replace an old halogen fitting which was forever blowing bulbs. My dad had this up today in half an hour and it lights up the whole back garden for when the dog goes out or someone needs to go to the bins. He reckons it is a well made unit and easy to install. We were all surprised at the amount of light it gives out.

Easy-ish to install (I needed a bit of help) the light is bright and covers a good area, so I was pleased. There are a lot of cats that use my garden as a thruway and I was worried this would go on every five minutes, but glad to see that it didn’t as my poor neighbours wouldn’t have been impressed. Decent range, good value for money and appears quite durable. Recommended.

It’s good to have a choice of warm or cool white with these, but poor that no lumens rating is given. They state wattage but that’s not entirely helpful. The box does have details though — they reckon my 22W lamp offers 1,800 lumens and rate it equivalent to a 300W halogen. That doesn’t compute, however. A 300W halogen offers something like 5,000 lumens. No wonder they’re so coy in the listing. It’s certainly bright, however, so maybe it’s more the lumens figure that’s wrong and the 300W rating isn’t so far off.

As for the “unique” bracket, it’s really hard to see anything special about it. And note that there’s no swivel capability. As for the 30,000 hours life, I’d be inclined to take that with a pinch of salt, judging by other LED lamps I’ve ownedbut I could be wrong.

Installation is straightforward. The tethered, high-quality flex is about a metre long, i.e. long enough to go through an external wall to a connection unit or junction box. If replacing an existing lamp, you may need a weatherproof JB to connect to the existing cable. It’s probably possible to get into the lamp and connect a new flex but I’m not about to try.

Having said all that, the lamp does seem built to a high standard, the output is good and the PIR works well, or at least as well as the others around my house. All things considered, I’d rate this good value and would buy more.

It was easy to install this lamp using the included guide and template on the box. The sensor is easily adjusted to come on at the required level of darkness and the time can be likewise controlled easily. The detector easily detects a person over 5 metres away and the light comes on instantly. It produces a good amount of warm white light which fills our 8×5 metre garden.

For some reason the light is glowing dimly all of the time, and one of the LED modules appears to be not illuminating. This is a little bit concerning.

Overall though I am impressed with this light. It is sensitive enough, has a good range of adjustment and produces a decent amount of warm white light.

    A decent outdoor ligh

I cant comment on the longevity of this flood light but if anything does go wrong after a short period of time, I’ll update my review.
As it is, this is a really decent floodlight, it’s nice and bright and easy to install. I haven’t had any problems in regard to it not being waterproof either, and since putting it up it has really been put to the test the last few days!
It is very well made and sturdy, with durable and hard wearing materials used.

A great update for our old halogen lights which are much bulkier and heavier than this super slim light weight version. Being LED I also have piece of mind that there isn’t going to be a big electric bill. Bright enough to see but shouldn’t upset the neighbours nor cause excess light pollution. Comes complete with a lengthy cable and is nicely finished in black.

The perfect compact floodlight for your home ! To start this is a very compact item so it doesn’t look an eyesore outside the front or back of your home. Simple to install drill a hole through your wall and connect to the mains. Attach to the wall with two to four fitting. Once it turns dark you can decide if you want to constantly on or for it to turn on with motion. I find these great for lighting up the bath to your front or back doors on dark nights and it will also make intruders less likely to pick your place ! Good bright light. You can’t stare at it anyways haha.

I have used and tried different security lights over the years, and have found problems with a few LED lights which have leaked, faulty LEd’s or other issues. These lights from Luceco are the best I have ever used. I purchased another one from Amazon because the first one I purchased from an electrician has outlasted all the others.
These lamps are aluminum, well built,100% waterproof and so easy to install, so after that what else do you need. I will be buying some more in the future for a project I will be doing, so take my advice these are the best to go for when it comes to reliability.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI bought this LED floodlight to replace a faulty halogen light. The fitting is good quality and looks well made. I checked the light output and found that a 22W LED is equivalent to a 300W halogen and from the performance of the new light I would say this is about right. The fitting is easy to install and comes pre-wired with a 1 metre length of rubberised cable. This means you will have to buy a junction box to connect it to a supply. In my case I was able to install the JB inside my garage. I chose a waterproof JB with compression glands which was inexpensive and simple to install.(screwfix) Setting up the PIR lux level and time the light stays on was easy and done in a few minutes. The price was good and cheaper than I could buy locally and free carriage was a bonus. If it lasts as long as it states on spec sheet (30000 hours) it will be years before needs to be replaced.

Update: the unit failed August 2020, well before its 30000 hour expected life.
