Brilliant set of earbuds, sound great and have never lost connection yet. Significantly better sounding that my previous Apple AirPods
Audio quality is great. Slight hiss just before the music starts but not noticeable and certainly not noticeable when the music is playing, even quietly.
Battery life is amazing and these are ideal for jogging. I’ve ran for over an hour and never needed to adjust them once, very secure.
Only slight negative is case is bigger than some (although battery life in case is much better than most) and after a few hours the ear gets a little sore but then I use my over ears for that (and for/comfort is obviously subjective). Would buy again.
No problems – easy to set up and very good sound quality.
Can’t argue the value for money with these headphones! Sound, fit and build quality are spot on! My only criticism is that the build quality of the case is slightly rushed but other than that it’s a top top product 5 stars!
Have had these for over a year brought for 80 on prime day. They sound great, sound quality is very clear. Battery life is very good, with that the charging case is quite bulky. Microphone call quality can do with some improvements, not always clear and can be a little quiet. No noise cancelling as expected but they do come with a number of tips which provide a decent seal on the ears. Have had a few occasions where they have fallen out while running or moving about, but everyone’s ears are different but in most cases they fit well.
Button presses require you to hold on to the earphone while pressing so you don’t push it into your ears too hard.
Have had issues where one earphone sounds louder than the other and I need to disconnect and re connect with my phone seems to resolve it.
Overall good value for money and a quality product.
There is no noise reduction with these earbuds (ANC) but they do seal really well and block out external noise, as already mentioned in other reviews the battery life is incredible and they can sit for weeks in their case and keep a charge.
Problems I have encountered with these include occasional cutout of the left earbud, this is usually solved by pressing the right earbud and pausing and starting the audio.
The app isn’t perfect but works on Apple devices for me, it may take a minute to connect, I find if music is playing on your device, it has no problem in connecting quickly, it is possible to customise eq to your liking, I have stuck with the bass boost preset, I have also noticed on pausing music more than a few seconds the earphones reset to there initial flat sound, which can be annoying as you have to open the app on your device and restart the eq.
Not perfect then, but if you can eq the bass in with these a touch, then they are great value.
Sound quality is really good and loud. Battery life is good. The magnetic keeps them inside really snag.
Had one problem where I couldnt connect one of them, took me a while but sort it out.
Cannot fault this. Price to quality ratio is off the scales.
Obviously doesn’t have the best sound quality but for the 10 hour battery life and perfect call quality it works perfectly for me. Better the any other earbuds or air pods that I’ve tried. Well worth the money
I was debating whether to spend more money on listening paraphenalia. I have some really good headphones but always wanted something more portable. I am soooo glad I got these! Wow. Really pleased with the sound the reviews I read are all correct – they sound great! Amazing in fact. I hate having to take them out and they have been the perfect accompaniment for when I am working at home. I get really agitated when I have to take them out and have conversations with people haha. I highly recommend them and would pay a lot more for such quality.
Great sound quality, battery life, comfort. Love it all. I can just use one bud at a time which is crucial for me as I need to maintain some situational awareness while working. I’m using these up to 12 hours per day with no discomfort. After years of buying 15 buds that I knew I would eventually break the connector getting snagged out of my phone, these are life changing.
Brilliant earbuds. Great sound, great connectivity and great battery life. Love them.
Works well, nice finish, easy to connect and sound great. Excellent product at good price. I use with Samsumg S20 and would highly recommend.
For the price I bought it, everything’s great.
Very happy with the sound, the noise cancellation is great, I don’t have to worry with the bus engine anymore. And the battery, well, its almost 8 days since last time I charged it. A winne
Better quality than expected. I am well pleased with this product.
I was going to return these after 2 days of listening to them they have a neutral sound but songs that have bass in them sound flat to make these earbuds sound fantastic download the app from Lypertek it is not on Google play as it is a beta version on the Lypertek website it tells you the process to upgrade the earbuds they will still sound neutral but have a better rounded sound signature which makes the music sound more like it should do the sound without the app sounds good but with the app it elevates the sound to what it should sound like
Oh God are these exciting!!! After my Sabbats broke down after 18 months (I was really sad), I was looking for something cheap, cause.. I’m probably cheap, and also cause I took the their sound quality for granted after 8 months. And ordered the soundpeats se dual driver my ass for 42 quid and got them yesterday… (After some ppl on the internet said the sounded good). I’ll just they’re rubbish. Unlistenable… And went back on Amazon and bought these lypersomethings. Mainly cause of oluvs review in you tube.. oh God, what a detail and depth.. Lack of bass? This can produce deeper tones than anything. But, won’t overpower rest of the frequencies.. I know there’s an app for them to play with eq settings but I don’t feel like need it for now.. anyway I used equiliser on my power amp player. Equiliser that I know from testing on lots of speakerss will make them fart if I crank up the bass up.. well not these they are a quality product!!. I’m very excited right now with these in my ears. This is some sound and to get to hear music like this wherever I get of the house and without wires, wow I started listening to more jazz just because of the detail these provide and make that kind music more fun! Also, just to compare again to Sabbats again if somebody has them, they have this meaty bassy sound but just don’t compare in terms of quality and I can’t go back. They sound ok, I knew something was missing but didn’t bother me so much as to not to enjoy the music. It’s only when you hear something better your realize. With tevis it’s sound feast!
Lastly, microphone quality is not great, and case, although with endless battery is just too bulky. But I’m here for the sound.
Used for 2 weeks. My first set of wireless earphones. Good for calls. Fits well, even with my tiny ear holes. Bass is a little lacking but still decent for listening to music. Haven’t had any issues with connectivity yet. The charging box is sleek and looks high-end. Battery life is excelle
Used with IPad for watching films.
Good value. Quick to recharge.
The earbuds are amazing brilliant sound quality. The noise cancelling is brilliant also. I unfortunately dropped my case into the road and it got smashed to bit. I contacted the lypertek customer services and they replaced it all I had to pay was for the postage. Brilliant customer service to match the earbuds.
These are fantastic headphones. Lovely clear audio for those who are audiophiles. Unbelievable battery life. Very comfortable. And at 100, you won’t find a better quality set of headphones.
Absolutely blown away by the high quality of every aspect of these earphones, but in particular the high range of sound including the incredible bass. Fantastic value for money, can’t recommend these enough
I’m definitely a bit of an audiophile so very picky with sound quality, and have therefore found it very hard to find true wireless earbuds that I like, as you always have to compromise on the sound quality unless you’re willing to spend a fortune. But the sound quality of these earphones is truly amazing and completely noise isolating as well. I’m discovering bits of songs that I never even knew were there. The second great thing about these is the connectivity, which never even cracks one little bit and has incredible range (unless the battery’s almost dead) which brings me to the next thing; the battery life. I’ve been using these almost every single day since buying them about 4 months ago, for about an hour each time before putting them back in the case, and I think I’ve had to charge the case 3 times in total and even then the earbuds have still been working. Safe to say you’ll never have to worry about them dying on you. Oh and did I mention that they’re super comfortable in your ear and never fall out too? Even for someone with ears as weirdly shaped as mine which means this is another thing I’ve always struggled with before. The only minor thing I can fault these on is the connectivity when making calls, as it doesn’t work as well as with videos and music for some reason. I only bought these for listening to music with though, so doesn’t bother me at all.
Wicked sound -true audiophile and nice and quiet although not a true noise canceller.
Well when they arrived they I was surprised at the quality and build of them. Let’s get straight to the point. They are simply outstanding, they are by no means a cheap brand trying to break into a better market. They simply are in anothet themselves.
Sound is amazing, they battery life is crazy. I use them a good bit and can say that I have only charged the case about 5 times since Nov last year.
Here’s the punchline.
Last year in December I left them in my trousers. Including the case and my wife put them in the wash. When it finished she kindy asked me what was these, I nearly died, my heart dropped I was so used to using them and loved them. I took them, the case was soaked full of water. So was the headphones.
I opened the case and dried with a hair dryer. I also did the same with the phones. Next day I put case on charge to see what happened, to my surprise the led light lit up to say charging. Tried the headphones and were faultless. I can’t believe they survived a hot wash and so did the case.
I almost thinking of buying a second set incase I loose, but hands down. You won’t find a better headphones for this price. To be honest they are much better then a higher priced ones.
These really are fabulous wireless earphones – battery life is great, they have lasted in many 4/5 hour journeys
I have had these earphones for nearly a week now and I am ready to review them.
I own 14 sets of headphones, prices range from 7.99 to about 300 (Sennheiser HD 650)
These IEM’s Produce fantastic sound for the money. Actually they produce fantastic sound full stop. And I am comparing them to the 650’s. If you are a bass head you will need to look somewhere else as these produce a flatter sound without emphasised bass. Don’t get me wrong they produce bass but it’s not bloated. Lots of headphones have too much bass which overpowers the rest of the music.
Mids are really nice and the treble is just right, not harsh.
The sound is very open and airy not closed in. I listen to a variety of music and I have noticed especially on classical that the sound is not muffled or harsh I have found that this can happen on quite a few headphones.
To be honest I’m trying to find a fault with these earphones and I am struggling.
The more I listen to them the more I like them.
I was a bit worried that I had never heard of Lypertek before and should I spend the money on this unknown make. All I can say is that I am pleased I did.
Disclaimer. I didn’t buy them from Amazon, I purchased a refurbished set from another store.
I ordered mine with a set of T400 comply tips through Amazon as I knew I wouldn’t be happy without them. First impressions were the max volume was a little low but a few double taps on the headphone button and suddenly things got very loud. There is a really nice presence to the sound you would usually expect in headphones with a much higher price point. The sound is warm but clear so you don’t lose those nice high tones at the expense of having a lovely tone. For those who like bass, it’s controlled and very wide whilst being powerful enough without being uncomfortable. I don’t agree with the reviews that say these don’t have much bass, but maybe they weren’t use the comply tips which honestly are a no brainer for the price v benefit ratio IMHO. Only early days so once they are run in I’ll update but overall these are extremely good value.
I bought these as a replacement for some Anker Soundcore Life P2s that had failed (one each bud stopped working).
The Lypertek’s sound fabulous – real audiophile quality. Pretty easy to set up too.
They’re a bit fiddly to get out of their charging case, and the connection drops occasionally, but overall great value for money.
UPDATE: had to return them because the connection was so poor. Really a pity because the sound was so good, but pretty useless in the end.
Honestly this is a great pair of headphones especially for the price. I had a problem with one of them and the customer service was happy to help and provided me with a replacement. They didn’t even ask for me to send my old pair back. It’s small things like these combined with a great product that make me give these 5 stars.
Well impressed with these…. I’ve never used earbuds before but after my wife bought a cheap pair I wanted some which worked better.
The battery life is phenomenal, I use these every day on my walk to and from work (40 minutes) and go a couple of weeks between charging.
Sound is great, fit is perfect.
If they stayed in a little better then they would be perfect. Better than I thought!
I already love these ear buds, the sound quality is as good as my Sennheiser Momentum 2 wired headphones.
I was concerned about the bass for in ear buds, but didn’t need to worry. I had some reggae on and the bass lines were deep and throaty, no distortion and didn’t affect any other frequencies. I did alter the bass to my personal preference using my phone’s equaliser, as the natural setting wasn’t quite enough for me, but that’s just a taste issue.
I tried different genres, indie, rock, hip hop, funk and soul, all sounded exactly the same as when listening to my Momentums. The sound stage isn’t quite as wide as my cans, but I suppose that’s to be expected with something that is shoved directly into the ear canal! Saying that, quite often on tracks certain sounds do appear to be coming from wide of my ears, so again I was not disappointed at all.
I’ve not had them long enough to fully assess the battery life, but I’ve worn them a lot in the first five days since delivery and the LED battery indicator on the case is still showing 3 lights out of 4, so it looks like the 70 hours claim is definitely achievable.
**UPDATE** The battery life is as good as advertised, possibly even slightly better. Before the lock down I was listening to these on my commute, going for walks at lunchtime and the weekend, I didn’t need to charge them for three weeks after the initial charge.
Like many people I am often wary of new or unknown brands, but these have been well reviewed by major sites such as Techradar and Trusted Reviews, so I thought I would give these a punt.
I’m really pleased I did, these are already my favourite tech purchase of the last couple of years and the quality / price ratio make them great value for money.
Absolutely brilliant. Easy to use, great battery life. I guess the controls aren’t intuitive, but simple enough to remember. Not too uncomfortable either, given you’re sticking something in your ear. Having wireless buds also means running with my partner is better since we can have a bud each.
Considering the cost these are a fabulous wireless earbuds. I was sceptical by the cost and reviews, after using these every weekday for 2 hours a day the battery has only needed charging twice via the USB-C port in two months. These were going to be my stopgap to more expensive earbuds but I’m delighted enough with these enough to no bother and stick with the Tevi instead.
Not Siri compatible and have a hard time making calls
Lypertek Tevi bluetooth TWS Earbuds Review
Physical Description
The Lypertek Tevi are a fairly plain looking pair of true wireless headphones – definitely reminiscent of the Sennheiser TWS headphones but at a fraction of their price. I managed to pick these up at a discount price from Amazon. The Tevi’s feature a single push button on each earphone (which I personally found quite hard to find and press when I had them in my ears) but the good news is that all your necessary functions can be accessed from these buttons – including volume up and down. This is always a nice feature on TWS headphones.
The charger case looks very similar to the one supplied with the Sennheiser headphones as it’s covered in a rather attractive material. The case also features USB type C which again is always a nice feature. Charging is nice and fast and the case offers a crazy number of hours to the headphones.
Whilst the headphones are made of high impact plastic, they don’t feel at all cheap and their fit is excellent for me. The Tevi’s come with the usual shirt recharge cable, an assortment of different tips including some Comply type foams and an instruction sheet.
Bluetooth range isn’t overly impressive but I didn’t experience any problems when keeping my phone in my pocket. It just about passed the upstairs toilet test (just a couple of dropouts when I washed my hands) – both the Mavin’s and the original Airpods perform better as far as bluetooth range is concerned but generally there’s not a problem.
Sound Quality
When it comes to headphones, sound quality is king as far as I’m concerned. If doesn’t make any difference to me if they feature the finest noise cancelling, fantastic smart features or battery life that’s out of this world if the sound quality is lacking. Luckily, the Tevi’s definitely deliver when it comes to sound quality.
I contacted Lypertek about trying out their beta software and firmware update for the Tev’s and they kindly sent me a link. The headphones have to be updated before the software recognises the headphones and the firmware update does definitely effect the sound characteristics – bass is slightly boosted and the slightly ‘shouty’ upper mids are slightly reduced. The headphones still retain their wonderful sense of detail thankfully.
One of the other pairs of TWS headphones which I use regularly and rate very highly are the Mavin Air X which I have previously described as wireless Etymotics. Well I’m afraid that description wasn’t truly accurate as the Tevi’s really have them beat when it comes to reproducing the sound quality that you can get from the Etymotics. They definitely share the same sound characteristics – having a really nice detailed and punchy sound – they are very dynamic sounding and yet also balanced. In fact it’s this balanced sound quality which really sets them apart from many of their peers as many bluetooth headphones tend to have too much boost in the bass frequencies and can get rather muddy sounding.
They also have some impressive volume to them as well. There’s no way I could listen to them at full volume – that’s not something I could say about many of the other TWS headphones out there.
I must admit that our off the box when I first got them I found the sound to be somewhat bright and lacking slightly in bass however after having them for a couple of weeks I contacted Lypertek about a software update and new Android application which has subtly improved the bass and is most welcome. Unfortunately the Lypertek application is currently still in beta and not yet generally available. However there’s no doubt in my mind that this is definitely worth doing once it does become available. With the update in place the sound quality has changed character – especially in the bass. Even with the eq settings set to flat this character has been changed to offer a fuller bass and slightly lower the upper mids/lower treble to help reduce long term listening fatigue. I have noticed a slight veil that covers some of the details but in my opinion it’s still worth doing.
The thing that really makes these headphones stand out though is their impressive resolution. In genuinely hearing things in some of my familiar tracks that I’ve not noticed before – definitely not bad for a pair of fairly inexpensive set of bluetooth headphones. Both mids and highs are truly superb – these are the ‘flattest’ bluetooth headphones I’ve come across so far. They use either APtX or AAC (depending on your phone I suppose) and connect without any problems. There’s virtually no noise floor with these headphones – sometimes you have to press the button just to make sure they’re still powered on.
Unfortunately the Tevi’s do have a couple of ‘issues’ which prevent me from describing them as perfect. The Bluetooth range leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to comparing them to their competition. They pretty much fail the upstairs toilet test – dropping connection to the phone before I’ve even reached the top of the stairs. Other Bluetooth 5.0 headphones in my collection can do this with ease. In all fairness though I don’t experience dropouts when using them normally (ie with the phone nearby or in my pocket). The other problem that I have with them may well be a software issue which may get resolved when the software update comes out of beta. More than once the headphones have temporarily lost connection on the right hand earbud. A quick press of the button restores the connection but it’s not ideal.
Conclusion
My recent experience with active noise cancelling from the likes of Sony and Apple have made me realise a couple of things. Firstly no matter which way you try to rationalise it, additional features such as active noise cancelling and sophisticated touch controls all cost money to produce and that has to come from money that could be spent on improving sound quality. Secondly active noise cancelling really isn’t very useful in these types of in-ear headphone as they already provide sufficient passive noise isolation (unless you’re one of those people who listen to music at very low volumes). I would much rather have a headphone product that’s designed around providing the very best sound quality without compromise. The Lypertek Tevi is definitely designed around sound quality. All of its features that make it stand out from its competitors are genuinely useful – great battery life, great sound quality, excellent volume range, easy and comfortable fit and firmware upgradable makes these the ideal TWS headphones for anyone who is looking for the best possible sound quality for the price – who doesn’t mind being close to their phone when in use.
I personally feel that these are the best TWS earphones I have tried so far (and yes that includes the Apple Airpods Pro and the Sony WF1000XM3’s). I was impressed with both those noise cancelling and expensive headphones but ultimately I felt that the Airpod Pro’s were simply too expensive and their overall design ethos was based around features rather than sound quality. Whilst they sounded pretty impressive – especially when taking into account their active noise cancelling, ultimately I’m always going to be more interested in sound quality.
The Sony’s on the other hand really did impress me with regard to their sound quality. They exhibited a really nice fulsome sound and shared pretty much the same sound characteristic as their larger counterparts. Unfortunately I felt that they simply didn’t go loud enough and that, for me is a deal breaker as it’s something that typically can’t be sorted out with a software fix.
What the Tevi’s offered for me was a nice combination of sound quality without any significant compromises, excellent battery life and comfortable fit. The other thing they offer (from my point of view) is that they’re inexpensive which means I’m not suffering the guilt that I almost certainly would suffer if I’d bought the Airpod Pros.
Postscript
Tonight I tried a quick comparison with my beloved Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10’s and I have to be perfectly honest here – I preferred the sound character of the Tevi’s. Don’t get me wrong, the Triple Fi’s were capable of reproducing a greater resolution and perhaps even are more faithful to the original recording but the Tevi’s offered slightly more boost to the bass and generally sounded fuller.
I was slightly concerned about the apparent loss of presence in the upper mids since the firmware update but to be honest, I still really like the sound characteristics that the Tevi’s offer. I must admit I was somewhat surprised at just how close these are to my Ultimate Ears – I’ve always considered these to be the very best headphones in my collection. Perhaps they still are but the gap in both performance and excellent pricing is definitely closing.
I also feel that it’s only fair to point out that I’m 56 years old. Whilst I still think my hearing is generally OK, I have to be honest and admit to my age. Obviously I can’t hear what an 18 year old will hear. For me, tone and overall frequency balance (to my ears) is easily as important as information retrieval. I am sensitive to ‘bright’ sounding headphones but also appreciate treble detail. For example, I love the sound characteristics of my Sony WH1000XM2’s. Whilst the treble detail may be slightly laid back in the mix and the bass may be slightly overblown when compared to more accurate headphones, I nonetheless find them very musical. I just wish they were a little more comfortable.
Writing this after two days of use, listening to a variety of genres of music as well as podcasts. I’ve been out for walks with the Tevis in, eaten with them in, and listened to them in bed. So far: they’re good, but not without their flaws.
The good points are already covered at length by other reviews so I won’t repeat them, but suffice it to say they’re good earphones. The case is nice and they feel high-quality.
So, here are my niggles with this product. I don’t like too much bass, but the Tevis are a little on the mid/treble side even for me.
The range isn’t amazing. I went out for a walk with my phone in my jeans pocket, and the Tevis under a wooly hat, and they occasionally struggled (e.g. if I put my hand in my pocket they lost signal). This introduced me to a weird disconnection issue – if the signal gets a bit too weak for the Tevis’ liking, the right earphone will disconnect while the left one stays on. Sometimes it’ll come back by itself, other times it stays disconnected and needs to be manually turned on by pressing the button.
Otherwise they’re decent earphones, but I can’t help feeling they need a firmware update or something to just tune them up a little bit further towards greatness.
I will start by saying I hate any earphones/headphones that oversharpen the high end. I despise the sound of sharp sibilant vocals (pronunciation of “S” and “T” for example).
I love the Tevis, because they don’t sound sharp at all. Below, I will summarise what I think each frequency band sounds like to give you all an idea:
Lows (20-400hz) – Excellent, tight reproduction of bass without overpowering the mids. The bass on these compared to Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro’s is EVER SO SLIGHTLY weaker. I still love the Tevi’s though, and didnt realise how much I would appreciate clear highs and mids until I used them.
Mid range (500 – 3khz) – Truly, this is where these earbuds shine. I have tried multiple pairs of earbuds and returned them (sorry, Amazon!). The Tevi’s have a very wide soundstage comparable to that of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless with vocals being reproduced exactly as you would expect; warm, not muffled and not too loud. I can happily say these do, in my opinion, sound better than the Sennheiser Momentum TW because they also had horrible high frequency reproduction
Highs (4khz – 20khz) – No hissing. At high volumes, they do naturally get a bit sharp but its still bearable. With the Sennheiser Momentums I had to use their EQ app to really boost the low end and reduce the high end because it was just awful. The Tevi’s don’t have this problem, and they also don’t have an app. However it is not needed, since these sound fantastic straight out of the box.
In summary, I can’t fault these. The only thing I would say is that the material on the charging case will show signs of cosmetic wear over time, but thats about it.
USB-C charging, excellent battery life, fantastic sound quality on par with more expensive competitors; you can’t ask for anything more at a price of 99
I have wanted true wireless headphones for a long time, but couldn’t justify spending lots of money on something which may not be as good as I wanted. When these went on sale for 70, I decided to risk this brand and go for it, and I’m glad I did!
I have previously owned the Sony WF-SP700N true wireless, but sent them back as I was very unimpressed. Comparing the Tevis to these is a whole different level.
Firstly, the battery life is really impressive – I get maybe 4 to 5 hours before I notice it’s getting below 30%, which is great. The sound quality is far superior to the Sony’s, and probably more in-line with some expensive over-ear headphones I have tried/own.
The case is stylish and is great how big the capacity of its battery is, but it is a little big for a pocket. Not necessarily a negative (smaller would mean less battery size), but something to bear in mind.
One of my main worries about true wireless was audio lag. This was really poor with the Sony’s and was a deal breaker for me. I mostly use these headphones for music, but I want the video experience to be good too.
I’ve found there is no audio lag on these headphones most of the time. Occasionally I can notice it, but then simply disconnect and reconnect the headphones, and its no longer noticible. (Using a Google Pixel 3).
Initial setup was a bit fiddly and I had to reset the headphones and try it again before it worked, but since then the headphones autoconnect very fast.
The fact that either the left or right headphone can be the main one was confusing at first, but you soon realise how it works.
Overall, if like me, you want to try true wireless headphones but dont want to sacrifice sound quality and audio lag, these headphones will be perfect. Yes there are cheaper headphones out there, but I feel that these headphones are competing with the top tier of headphones, and outclass any other I know of around this price point.
Before I bought these, I would be worried about spending 100 on a brand I had never heard of, and it was only in the sale I was ready to buy them; however, after using them, I truly feel that these headphones are worth their full price if you want a quality product.
TL;DR: Bought them in a sale price, but after using them would recommend them at their full price as they seem to be at the level of far more expensive true wireless headphones.
Amazing quality bluetooth earbuds, amazing battery life, well worth the money. Have used extensively for the past few months and cant fault them yet.
Very happy with these though have to fiddle with them a bit to get the optimum position in the ear to appreciate the sound. Do stick out but comfortable, and very decent, clean sound. Recommended.
I managed to get these on a lightning deal for 69.99 and I’ve been impressed from what I’ve used of them. Some people say that they don’t have enough bass which is somewhat true. They are tuned with a flat neutral response. I’m happy with them and I’ve managed to get a good enough seal so that they don’t fall out. The only downside I’ve encountered so far is connection issues. The sound dropping out then reconnecting (mere seconds). It doesn’t always happen every time I use them but this can happen with any bluetooth head/earphones. People say about the case being on the bigger side but I think it’s fine.
EDIT – I have since managed to update the firmware & use the Tevi app (android). Not sure if the firmware update did something to the connection but I don’t seem to experience any drop outs anymore. The app itself is still a beta version but it seems to work fine for me. You can now have different presets to use such as jazz, dance, hip hop, pop, rock, r & b, treble reducer, bass booster or custom. Within the app you can also reconfigure what the button presses actually do. I have left them as the default settings but a nice option to have. Overall I’m really happy with the added functionality that the app brings. You can reach out to Lypertek on their official website & they will send you a link to the app.
Also another release in the pipeline is the Lypertek Levi. Think of it as the Tevi’s little brother. Not listed on Amazon at this moment in time though.
Got these for my daughter as a Christmas present. She never has them off. Battery life is excellent as is the sound. Useful that they can be used individually also.
I’m no sound expert but I’m really happy with these. They give a lovely clear sound. They connect quickly as soon as they’re out of the box and the battery life is really good. The box is compact and easily fits in my handbags or coat pockets.
I was looking for a better pair of bluetooth earphones for the gym and walks (I’ve got wired earphones for general music playing at home). My current ones were OK but the sound quality wasn’t brilliant. I was going to buy something similar but decided to see what the “more expensive ones” were giving. I saw a review of these on a well know hi fi review page but baulked at the price but the review was very promising.
The next week these came up on Amazon at a very good discount so I took the plunge.
Setting them up was easy on my android phone. Getting the to fit in my ears – very easy.
Sound quality – really, really nice and comparable to some of my wired ones. When the buds are fully fitted you get a really nice base sound with a full rich spectrum. It’s good with music and spoken word.
As others have said – batttery life is great – not timed but the case is giving at least 50 hours of life. I use the buds for 1 – 1.5 hours at a time so don’t know the life of the buds on their own.
I’ve not been out in the rain with them they they hold up very well when I’m getting some aerobic exercise (sweaty).
Cons – nothing so far. I’m glad I bought them.
Bought a pair of these for my daughter for use at the gym etc.
She is really pleased with the sound quality and fit.
Bought from Amazon on cyber Monday 69… bargain!!
Barely have to charge these and for an unknown brand they sound honestly amazing. Such good value for money
They’re great. They fit brilliantly and securely. I occasionally have slight problems connecting but I suspect that’s more to do with my 2 year old phone than the headphones. I also struggle to press the mechanical buttons on the headphones multiple times to advance songs, but it works fine once for answering calls.
Great headphones performed over my expectations
Would highly recommend them to anyone
Speedy delivery of item just in time for christmas
These are superb! I simply don’t understand why anyone would by bigger brands when these do everything better. Detailed and impressive sound and v long better life, also more descreet in the ear than others
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She is very pleased with them and their functionality and sound quality. However, I had a go on them and have to say I was not that impressed with the sound quality after all the online hype. I’m no expert, though, and my daughter loves them. Heigh ho.
These are the best I’ve found after trying 4 highly rated pairs. The doing is great – not quite as good as the Cambridge Audio, but better in every other way and way better than the Creative. The fit is good, doesn’t fall out like the Cambridge or the Creative. The connection works everytime without issues, unlike the Cambridge and the Creative. Only issue was that the carrying case lid fell off somehow and now just separates Everytime I open it. All around best headphones for working out.
I bought these primarily to use at the gym because i’ve read so many good reviews on them, I’ve found myself using them all the time now though as they connect so effortlessly (as soon as you pull one out the case it connects and is ready to go). They sound great, not overly complicated (pause/volume/skip etc all on the earbuds themselves).
I have a pair of over ear, noise cancelling Sony WH-H900N which I usually use at work however I’ve found myself just keeping the tevi’s in which I never expected. Very happy with my purchase.
Superb earbuds, outstanding battery life, the sound is very well balanced too, the bass is perhaps a bit lacking at times but this is nitpicking, the battery life is simply amazing too. They are a good fit just switch out the ear pieces, overall fantastic value for money.
I’m a musician, producer and sound engineer who’s always using headphones for work and play. I’d bee trying to find a good pair and Bluetooth headphones that I like for a while. Most of the headphones I’ve used so far have been very good but each set I used always had one issue , either comfort or usability as they all sounded good.
I’ve received these headphones today and they’re really good. A great neutral sound that let’s you lean in to the mix. Light, comfortable with a great battery/case design. Easy to use; i never read manuals and figured these out very quickly.

I personally haven’t spent over 50 on a pair of headphones myself in the past so was quite wary while browsing. I settled on the Lypertek Tevi True set based on a recommendation from someone working in a local audio store. I have always leaned towards quite bass heavy audio in the past, but was advised these were more neutral. As advertised this is the case, but the sound clarity is better than any pair I have owned before, a noticeably clear treble was a pleasant surprise. So far the battery life seems close to advised, although thanks the carry case charger they haven’t died on me mid use just yet. It is a nice addition, a small ,light, sturdy case is so handy when on the move. The signal stability seems to be pretty solid so far after a few hours use. So I am glad I gabled on this set, and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an upgrade to their headphones.
Really happy with these. Comparing to my wife’s AirPods they fit better, sound better and and life battery is better!
My current over ear headphones are Bose QC25 with a Bluetooth adapter, but I wanted something smaller for use in the gym. So the search started for a decent sounding pair of True Wireless Earbuds. Based on excellent reviews I began with a pair of 1MORE Stylish True Wireless Earbuds. When I got the right size ear tips they sounded very good but I couldn’t get them to fit comfortably. Next was a decision between Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 or the Lypertek Tevi. After watching a YouTube review comparing both earbuds the reviewer commented that the Melomania 1 were difficult to get a comfortable fit so I opted to try the Tevi and to be honest wasn’t very optimistic based on my experience with the 1MORE earbuds. I have a pair of Sony MDREX650 wired earbuds which sound fantastic and have the same size tips as the Tevi so thought I’d try those tips first and if the Tevi’s weren’t very good I’d just send them back without messing on with the supplied tips. My thoughts were if the Tevis sounded anywhere near as good as the Sony’s then they’d be keepers. On trying the Tevis with the Sony tips they sounded very good, better than I’d expected, so I started trying the supplied tips. On fitting the medium tips they sealed my ear canals perfectly and the sound they produced was absolutely amazing. Reviewers stating these lack bass need to experiment with tips or buy some 3rd party tips to get the seal correct. OMG with the correct tips fitted these blow away every other headphones I’ve tried and I’ve used high end wired inner ear headphones from sure etc. These comfortably outdo my Bose QC25 in wired or wireless mode and crush my trusted wired Sony’s. The bass is deep and controlled, the mids are detailed and the highs crystal clear and the soundstage is excellent.
I’m no audio expert but these sound very good to me. Bought on the back of the techradar review. I was between these and the Cambridge Audio ones; these seemed to have fewer problems reported in reviews.
Some people say that there is no bass but I suspect they haven’t seated them properly into their ears. You have to get a good seal otherwise the bass disappears. When correctly seated there is plenty of bass. And very good isolation from ambient noise.
Have tested these using What Hi-Fi’s playlist to test headphones and was very impressed with the results. There is an app that goes with them but as yet, it doesn’t work. Have reported via the App Store.
I like EVERYTHING! These are truly STUNNING.
I love music and a diverse range of music from R&B to Garage and Pop.
The stereo field stage is totally enveloping. From the faintest cymbal to maraca right down to the lowest deepest base.
Vocals are crystal clear you’d literally believe every song you’re sat right there in the recording studio.
I purchased these in the sale 69 and I’m routinely comparing these to my other headphones and my home hifi 3k KEF
I routinely hear things in these that I just never truly hear on my other sound systems!
My daughter has Apple ear pods which she loves because all her friends have them.
These blow Apple stuff away completely.
Lypertek for a new kid on the block you have smashed it a fantastic pair of buds that the big players must be thinking how the hell you did it and at a bargain price.
Battery life is astounding also as is the overall build quality.
There is no genuine active noise cancelling but frankly I’ve always found that take something away from the pure sound you expect from REFERENCE QUALITY sound which is what I believe these deliver.
Listening to She lays down by The 1975 as I right this I can here every single guitar string and fret. The vocals are literally like I’m sat there listening in the studio.
One word ASTONISHING!
Buy them try them and you’ll see
My first wireless earbuds and I couldn’t go any better. For a reasonable price you get a s***tone of battery life plus audio sounds amazing too. Design of a case is beautiful too, only thing I don’t like are buttons. But apart from that, the connectivity is quick, once you pair your phone and take buds from case, they connected immediately. Perfect choice for not even 100.
The mids and the highs are incredible on these, while bass is accurate and solid. The best price/perf. true wireless earbuds for the price.
Brilliant, for the money I just can’t fault them. Had a few issues with them turning themselves off but this doesn’t stop me from leaving a really positive review. Sound quality and noise cancellation are excellent. Out performs others I’ve tried that are more expensive. Charging is so easy and they last really well. Would definitely recommend well worth the money.
Wow!! The sound quality on these is amazing – very clear mids and highs and a wide sound stage. The bass is neutral but after adding memory foam ear tips (T200), the bass now has a good thud and overall these earbuds offer a sound signature punching way above anything in this price range. Also, I found the sound quality got better after using them for a few days – be patient.
Call quality is pretty good and I could be heard when talking in a noisy office.
No connectivity issues with my Samsung S9. Great battery life and IPX7 waterproofing is a plus if you get caught in the rain.
If you’re looking for something under 100 these are a no brainer.
I really like the earphone. Definitely a budget alternative for the high end brand. Really good design, battery life. I enjoy the sound as well
Connection is not as fluid as it should be for a Bluetooth 5.0 device. Water resistance is nice, mic quality is quite poor. Overall fantastic sound detail for true wireless under 100
Bought these due to my phone upgrade having no headphone jack. Had my eyes on these a month ago after watching some reviews and finally purchased when a lighting deal was on. Read some reviews stating these are not bass heavy and I’d agree to some extent but is more than sufficient for the genres of music I listen to ( DnB, Neurofunk, and Drumstep). Listening via an Android device using Poweramp which allows me to change equalizer settings and customize the sound signature to my liking. 5/5 definitely a great pair of wireless buds.
I have been trying to find a set of earphones to replace my Vmoda zn’s that ive had for many years (theyre also amazing btw). These actually manage to be on par, if not beat them for sound quality which i wasn’t expecting. especially seeing as i picked these up for 69. As long as you have the correct tips on, the bass is clear and refined, mids and highs are clear. i also only need them at about 70% volume, and that’s at a level almost too loud. i will come back to this review if anything changes, but for now im highly impressed.
I read the various reviews and there seemed to be an issue with lack of Bass. I found this too but I swapped the ear tips with the ones from my wired Beyerdynamic Byrons and it seemed to resolve the problem. They have great sound, are neat and the battery longevity is one of the best for true wireless.
I’ve just taken them away on holiday and they’ve been perfect travelling companions. So easy to use paired with tablet on multiple flights (Including long haul). I had no issues at all with battery performance. I’m very pleased with these!
PROS: -Amazing 70 hour battery life
– Vibrant and punchy sound with bass
– Buttons control everything, from volume and tracks to voice assistant
Cons: – Fit may not suit everyone, took me a while to get used to, they go deep inside
– buttons are tactile, so you need to hold the buds to use buttons to not press them deeper into your ea
Are you after bluetooth earphones? On a budget?
Well, look no further as these deliver and some. Techradar made these the Editor’s Choice, in fact it has universal approval ranging from audiophiles to casual music lovers.
The earphones are on the large side and they stick out a little but that’s not a bad thing. Ample bud tips are supplied to suit ear canals of all shapes & sizes. There is no other support other than an airtight seal and they stay in place whether you are running or walking. They are also IP7 certified so being submerged in water for a short while or being caught in a downpour is not a problem.
Once the earphones are paired to a smartphone and the sound calibrated using an EQ you are met with a wonderful, immersive soundstage ranging from ample bass to mid and sharp high notes, it is one of the clearest pair of ear phones on the market, often punching above expensive rivals.
A word of advice on pairing. Follow this process and it will resolve connection issues. First reset the buds by holding both earbud buttons at the same time, the lights will flash. Now double click twice on the left bud, you will hear “pairing”. Turn on your bluetooth on your phone and click on Lypertek L. Pairing successful should be audible on your bud. The right will pair automatically. Now both buds will operate independently. If left is taken out it will assume the “master” role and right will be “slave” and vice versa.
Each earphone has 9 hours of battery power according to Lypertek, however, that all depends on the volume. I have mine on 34 to 40% and the battery lasts me throughout the day. The charging case provides an additional 70 hours of juice so you’ll never run out! The earphones are also quick charging.
What I dislike? No active noise cancellation although the airtight seal the buds create almost act as noise cancellation but given the price it’s understandable why this feature was omitted.
I also dislike the size of the charging unit. It’s not pocket friendly, bag yes, pocket no unless you like walking around with a bulge in your pocket
The fabric effect on the charging unit is not to my taste but I can live with it.
The usual bluetooth foibles apply. The tech is not without its gremlins. Occasionally the connection would crackle and that is nothing to do with the unit, it’s due to interference and the limited but congested nature of bluetooth tech, note some of the below:
– Wi-Fi Coexistence. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi share the same 2.4GHz frequency spectrum , which can cause the radio signals to interfere with each other.
– Microwave Ovens. An often overlooked source of interference is the common microwave oven. …
– Cross-body Interference. Being human and containing water can act as an interference.
So far the interference I’ve experienced is limited to the microwave. And as long as my phone is close by the connection is pretty solid.
Overall for 99 (got it on lightning deal for 69 – so even better!) with a fantastic soundstage and great battery life I would highly recommend these Lypertek Tevi earphones.
I purchased a pair of Lypertek Tevi last week and have been trying them out ever since.
For the last three years I have been using a set pf Bose Soundsport 2 Wireless earphones. They have a lovely warm all-embracing sound with strong base a broad soundstage and clear trebles. So any replacement earphones have to be excellent to compete with them.
However, the Bose have no sound isolation properties and my music can easily be overwhelmed by the surrounding babble. They also need recharging every couple of days, I plug them in overnight.
I decided that technology has probably developed in the intervening years and so I would see if today’s offering compared with the Bose. I am looking for a good level of sound isolation and a sound performance that enhances rather than detracts from the music.
I initially tried the SoundPEATS TrueFree + 5.0 Bluetooth Earphone TWS. But they were returned within a week because the sound isolation was poor as was the base and I just couldn’t get a good fit with the supplied tips.
I then read an excellent review of the Lypertek Tevi in TechRadar (5 stars) so I took the plunge. Compared to the Bose these are brighter with a clean neutral sound. There is good separation between the instruments, a reasonable sized soundstage. Trebles are prevalent and although base is present it is not overemphasised. I am enjoying the Trevis and comparing to the Bose they are different, a clean sound rather than a warm sound.
The call reception, case, charging and pairing are all excellent but that is expected what matters for me is the musical performance. So far the Trevis pass the test.
However I must turn to the sound isolation. The Tevis come withthree pairs of silicon tips S/M/L. My ears fit the Large tips. They also come with a set of Foam tips but these are Medium. I tried the Medium and Large Silicon tips and the Medium Foam tips. All gave mediocre sound insolation; they were better than the Bose but not much.
I contacted Lypertek who told me that they sold a pack of tips S,M,L for $6.99 but there would be a $20 shipping charge from USA. They also told me that the dimensions of their tips to fit the case should be no higher than 8mm with a nozzle size of 5.5mm.I tried Comply who recommended SmartCore tipsbut said they may have to be removed to fit the casea pain.
I contacted InAirs they recommended Air2 but these had a diameter of 14mm and a a height of 10.7mm. This would mean removing them to fit the case too.
So I am left with a quandry, a pair of earphones that I like but with tips that do not give sound isolation. Hence my 3 star review.
4 days later
I bought a pair of Misodiko M490 foam tips and fitted these. The transformation was immediate, suddenly the base sprang into view and the Tiler cutting tiles with a electric wheel cutter in the next room seemed to disappear into the next street. The fit in the box too. I am delighted and have upped the review to 4 stars.
These devices pair easily and the case, which both stores and charges the earbuds, is very good with the earbuds being held in magnetically. The sound quality is good to. Not exactly subtle when in the ears – quite large, and took some time for me to find the best silicon sleeves to stop them dropping out. They seem to block other external noise only when firmly fitted into the ear canal, and not any other technique I can perceive such as antiphase noise cancellation. Overall a quality product if a bit bulky.
I bought a set of these because my Sabbat E12 died after owning them no more than 6 months. They were great when they worked but slowly and progressively had issues with connectivity and latency with video.
These buds are incredible value, great battery life, zero latency with video and very comfortable to use. Not the bassiest but very good all round if you have an eclectic taste in music. Call quality is better than my Sabbat E12s too.
My only minor gripe is the sensation that they are not secure in the ear even though you would be hard pinched to have them fall out. They are just an odd design from that perspective but if thats the only complaint I can make , I will take these every day of the week for the price.
Surprisingly good earphones. Clean & balanced sound with amazing battery life. Brilliant value – I think these sound far better than the highly-rated (and far more expensive) Jabra Elites. They were initially very easy to pair and bluetooth hasn’t dropped out, instantly connecting when you take them out the case. I have had some connection issues and had to re-pair after a day or two of not using them, which may just be something to do with my devices. Still, not willing to give them anything less than 5* as it’s such a fantastic, well-designed package, and I don’t believe I can find anything better at this price point.
Giving 4 stars for the sound and overall build quality.. Unfortunately had to return them as they would not stay in my ears, which is a real shame because I really like this earphones. Another thing that I didn’t like was that the lid from the case was not attached to the case for some reason.
Bought many ear buds ranging from 15 to 250 so far these are the best. Brilliant battery life good fit and neat case
Build quality is excellent and the case is very stylish. Spend a little time finding the best eartip fit and plug yourself in!
It’s been a long time since I used anything other than the earbuds that are provided with a smartphone and these are a revelation.
I’m hearing details that I simply didn’t know were there. “Think” by Kaleida has reverb that I’d never noticed before and her voice is lifted to another level for clarity. “I like me better” by Lauv is glorious!
“Abrazame” by Camila- the vocals have a soaring quality and the harmonies are truly delightful
The bass is punchy but not muddy – these are not bass monsters – but produce drive without massive weight.
Vocals are detailed and dynamic and the overall spaciousness of the sound is awesome. I’m so impressed – listened all day at work (one earbud) and no sign of battery drain. They easily switch between my phone, laptop and tablet and the connection seems rock sold.
The controls are easy to use and don’t require a heavy push.
Couldn’t be happier…
These earbuds are quite frankly the best I’ve ever used, and I’ve had some of the most expensive Sony’s, Bose etc on the market. Firstly, the sound quality is up there with the best on offer to date, clean and crisp with plentiful bass. Secondly, their build quality and battery life are that of the market leaders again, a very true 10 hours playback and an extra 60 hours charge from the case.
If you’re looking for top quality all round performing earbuds, that are comfortable and just the right size, these should be at the top of your list. Save the extra 100+ you’d pay for the well known brands and purchase these, you won’t be disappointed!
I also want to say that the seller took a very long time (weeks) to refund my money, and this only happened once I complained to Amazon.
I received the Lyper Tek Tevi a few weeks ago and have been using it frequently ever since. It was delivered much quicker than I was expecting! Usually with gadgets like this you expect to have to let it sit for a few hours to charge up for the first time: not so for the Tevi. It was almost at a full charge when I opened the box. Maybe 15-20 minutes later it was fully charged and ready to go. Pairing with my phone was very easy. They go straight into pairing mode when removed from the box, and then it was a simple matter of adding it from the phone.
Physically, the Tevi’s charging case is very attractive and stands out from the other TW cases you see which are usually black plastic. The gray woven cloth gives the case an elegant and classic look. The earphones themselves actually fit into the case while the ear tips are on, which is not always true for a lot of models.
The battery life is pretty incredible- I can use them for a week without having to even consider plugging the charging case in.
Very happy with these and hope to continue to use them for years to come.
as i expected from the reviews that i watched. cheaper than big brands but the sound quality is like defo up there with the big brands
I have to say i was a little skeptical when I saw some of the earphones that these were compared to. Some costing over 200 more. I’m so blown away by them. The fit so comfortable, so light i hardly notice I’m wearing them. Passive noise cancelling is fine and even at 50% volume, pretty much everything is gone but the music. They’re very loud. Really loud. Crystal clear quality, great highs and mids and bass is there, just not overpowering. Definitely one of my favourite purchases. I use them every day.
As a size comparison from top to bottom are the Lypertek Tevi, next SoundPEATS TrueFree, Muzili TWS and last the Haylou-GT1-. I’ve used the Lypertek Tevi for a good week before this review only because of the price, their not cheap in comparison to the other above mentioned TWS.
Whilst in the photos the Lypertek Tevi may not look larger than the other TWS they are slightly bigger and protrude from my big elephant ears a fair bit, but I think the trade off is worth it due to whats crammed inside them, one being the phenomenal battery life. They say 10 hours and I don’t doubt that claim, I’ve run these on full volume from 3pm to 11pm and my iPhone said 7% battery remaining on them so if your listening at 60% volume I don’t see why you won’t get at least 9 hours worth of playback.
Comfort and fit, obviously that’s going to be dependent on your ear size and ear shape and the tips you use, for me the fit doesn’t inspire confidence their not as good as my SoundPEATS but OK, they haven’t fallen out yet and the comfort is again good enough once you seat and twist them in, they feel light and have a descent passive seal.
As regards to volume no TWS gets loud enough for me and I think it will depend on your music source / device, that said the audio doesn’t seem to distort at full volume. Over all with the 70 hour rechargeable case, stellar battery life from the earbuds USB C good audio and clear phone calls, fully waterproof I’m happy and will most likely use these as my main TWS for the foreseeable future well at least until my SoundPEATS Truengine2 arrive.
Just an update, 26/12/19 I’ve found the fit for me rubbish so I’ve changed the silicon tips from the Tevi to my Sony MH750 wired buds, they fit perfectly on the Tevi and still fit and charge in the case although they stick a little when I take the earbuds out the charging case but the fit now is fantastic in my ear, for me the bad fit is the included silicon tips but this has been addressed
Disclaimer, “I paid for this myself”, either during a lightning deal or full price
I do not usually do reviews but sometimes you have give praise where it is due.
Absolutely amazingly brilliant (too many adjectives I know) earphones. I have had the pleasure of using a couple of earbuds and I have had great fun with them. I still use one of my previous pair of earbuds when I am travelling on public transport simply because I do not want to lose my Lypertek Tevis because they are so precious to me.
These ear buds are special. When I initially got them I thought why such high praise? Then I used them on my Power Amp music application and adjusted the Power Amp equaliser to my liking (see screenshots).
Wow! As they say “heavens above”! They are that good. My only problem is I am exploring all my digital music collection using them, so I am not getting much sleep.
If you are thinking of getting them, do not hesitate. Give them a week or two, listen to your favourite songs, play with them, tweak them to fit your ears. When it “clicks” you will appreciate what the good reviews are all about. In the words of the song, ” if you are not…in love by Monday, you can go your separate ways”. Enjoy! I am enjoying my music again.
PS: Lypertek do not increase the price because of the good reviews, not all good things have to be overpriced.
Been using them for 3 days, they sound better than my 3 weeks old Jabra elite active 65t and price is half of Jabras. Call quality is great. Mic is great, same clear like my Jabras and better Noise cancellation. Audio is just super, really love audiophilic sound stages, bass, mids and treble are on right place. Volume goes so loud, even higher than needed. Battery is great too, can listen about 7 hours straight when volume is 75%. Earbuds are comfortable wont drop out when shaking head.
Recommend them everyone.
I recently jumped on the TWS bandwagon and have been obsessing over the 1MORE Stylish buds for a while. I wanted something similar but with IPX rating for water-resistance and USB-C charging. These earbuds are the ones I was recommended by many professional reviewers.
All I’m going to say is that they punch above their weight, the pricing of these buds is very competitive against something like the Sennheiser Momentum earbuds. Volume can go really high and the battery life claims are high, but that will have to be tested as its based on SBC at 50% volume and not aptX or AAC.
Solid first impressions on these buds so far, very impressed.
I’ve been using them for well over a week now and they’re fabulous. With the right ear tips (it took a few tries to decide on the right ones) these effectively seem like noise-cancelling earphones too. I use the loud Jubilee line on London’s underground. Previously only my Sony Noise Cancelling over-ear cans were good enough for me to be able to hear podcasts or music over the noise in the tunnels. Until now. Crystal clear audio for my whole commute and they’re SO comfortable and light!
In the gym they stay in no matter how vigorous the workout.
When they arrived I charged them fully in their case and I’ve yet to have to recharge them since.
They sync with my iphone 7 and older ipad very easily and I’ve not had any issues whatsoever.
They look good in their case and in my ears which isn’t a priority but definitely a bonus. And most importantly they sound great too.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by them considering their relatively low price. You won’t be disappointed if you’re after true wireless earphones. Do it.
Well after having dipped my toes in the water earlier in the year with some insanely low cost Redmi Airdots I felt I needed to transition to something a little more robust and full sounding… and I simply could not have been more impressed!
After just a couple of hours use I felt that they had significantly improved in sound quality from their first few minutes out of the box and had effectively fully “burned in” which is remarkably fast and pleasant. The bass had suddenly become more punchy without being boomy and they presented a beautifully balanced, “in control” and detailed sound which the Airdots were simply miles away from achieving. Bravo!!!
In addition to their staggeringly good sound they’re so easy to use, connecting to my iPhone 8 automatically as soon as I take them out of their luxuriously styled and built fabric covered box.
The battery life is stupendously long and they have been such welcome additions to when I walk the dog – no more jumping dogs yanking earphones out of my ear when they jump up at me!
If you are looking for a robust and great sounding upgrade from a well known smartphone manufacturers offerings… look no further than these!
Connecting is mostly automatic with my Huawei P30 when they power up on removing from the charging box (which is well made and stylish) and controlling the players using the headphones works well. The hands free mode works well if you are in a relatively quite environment, but at a station or similar it picks up the surroundings more than your voice (that might always be the case, not used hands-free on headphones so much), so perhaps not ideal in that respect. Not sure.
Another slight downside, but again probably the case for all wireless headphones, is that they are more bulky than I was expecting. I felt a bit silly wearing them at first because the stick out of your ear a bit (maybe like a 1cm or so), but they’re so good I very much got over it quickly and I don’t think about it anymore.
My main concern for bluetooth headphones like this is the ease of connection to your portable device and I use these solely with my i-phone. I was delighted to find they connect and start automatically on removal from the charger box without any issues. They are comfortable (so much so I scratched my ear forgetting I had them in!) and the sound quality is excellent. The bleed from them is really low; you can only them on full volume when you are about a foot away.
Having used overhead headphones for a while I was delighted to find a quality pair that don’t feel loose in my ear and allow me to carry on doing jobs like cutting the grass and household chores without fear of them falling out!
My previous go-to portable setup was a Fiio BTR1, with then one of a selection of IEM’s plugged into it. It is a good setup, and quite robust, but it still has the wires trailing to wherever I manage to clip the thing, and there is still microphonic cable noise. That, and the panic of trying to work out how to answer and operate phone-calls effectively when music was playing (a problem I never managed to solve!) So, it was time to give the true wireless buds a go. Initially, I was fully expecting there be a significant ‘trade-off’ in performance, particularly with a more budget-minded model of earphone, but after week or so of playing, I am yet to really find it.
Out of the box, these things look pretty slick. The grey textured-fabric charging case looks a bit like a google home mini or an echo dot, and would fit nicely into a small bag. It’s *just* a bit big for a pocket, unless you have very large pockets, but if I am heading out for longer than the 7 hours battery life these give, chances are I have a bag with me anyway. It also seems quite robust, and certainly managed to survive me throwing it off my desk once or twice.
The box also came with the requisite differently sized ear-tips, and a nice short USB-C charging cable. I settled on the foam tips, purely for comfort reasons, but the rubber tips looked equally good quality and I am sure they would take aftermarket tips if you cared enough to track some down. Isolation is very good, and I am able to sit at my desk typing this review, and hear nothing of my keystrokes at all with music playing. In a reasonably quiet office, these should be ample to completely separate you from the world.
With the idea of there being a ‘trade-off’ still in mind, I was initially sceptical as to how well they would connect, but they have been flawless from the outset. After an initial pairing, the moment they are taken out of the charging case, they automatically connect to the phone via Bluetooth, usually even before I have managed to get them anywhere near into my ears. They have yet to drop connection, either, and the magnets holding them into the case feel reassuringly competent.
In the ears, these don’t exactly disappear, but then that’s no bad thing really. With no visual clues that you are wearing headphones, the potential for appearing to rudely ignore someone in public is high. These do stick out of the ears a bit, but they are surprisingly light, and don’t move around while walking about. They are controllable via the buttons on the outside of the housing, via a series of single-, double-, and even triple-presses on one or other ear. Single press either side pauses. Double tap volume (right up left down) and treble tap skips track (left back, right forward). I think the only one I am likely to make huge use of is the single-tap pause-play function, but the buttons seem pretty easy to operate, without being too crazily over-sensitive to random taps. There is also a handy little beep to let you know you have done ‘something’ whenever you press them, so any accidental presses would be easily identifiable. . The IPx7 water-resistance is also a nice reassuring feature, meaning that should you get caught in the rain they won’t immediately self-immolate in your ears.
Sound quality is really rather nice. Again, an area I was expecting to feel like a little more of a compromise does not in the slightest. Bass is plentiful without being overpowering, and more than weighty enough to feel appropriate with anything I threw at them. My tastes lean towards the acoustic side, but I did try them with some more electronic and beat-driven stuff, and they were very satisfying. Midrange is very solid, and instruments and voices sound pretty convincing and easy to listen to. Highs are very nice indeed, and listening to something like the avalanches, it’s easy to hear the differences in recording quality and timbre between the various samples used.
The use of graphene coating for the drivers may well be marketing hubbub, but then again maybe not, as from a really light and low power amplification solution, they feel eminently capable. They are able to go comfortably (or uncomfortably) louder than I would ever listen for any length of time, and don’t appear to be struggling with distortion or clipping at any point.
In summary, I love these little things. They are 100% my daily driver IEM, and I am a full convert to the joys of fully wireless. Would whole-heartedly recommend these to anybody, without fear of disappointment.
Sound quality is great, very clear and none of that patchy connection I’ve had in the past.
Build quality seems very solid.
Controls on the earphones are simple and intuitive.
They fit me really well, although could maybe come with some more sizes but that’s a minor criticism.
The case is great, I love the look of it, it’s solid but not too big and it charges the earphones when not in use. With this the charge seems to last forever which is great and it’s USB-C so if the battery ever does run low then can recharge quickly.
I’m a big fan of these.
EDIT: They do have more sizes for the in ear bits, they were packed in with the charging cable, I thought is was just a bit of padding so nearly ended up in the bin.
Sound quality is great. When speaking to someone on my mobile their voice was clear and they could hear me with no problems. Works perfectly while exercising, the earbuds stay in your ears very well.
Also very important for me is the design, they look very smart and they do not stick out much. Very pleased with my purchase.
Very well built with a great case and tips, easy to pair and the 10hr battery life quoted is very realistic, only slightly lower when using a high quality codec like AptX. The case has a USB-C charging port and gives them an extra 6 charges!
These are perfect for out and about use, daily commuting or exercise due to their IPX7 rating. Overall I am extremely happy with these.
