First of all i brought this for production, but nit mix and master, only arrangement. but yea still i needed something good. I was on a tight budget, and after a lot of research i went for the bx4. i had heard a great review of the bx5. so i trusted m audio. and believe me, this is the best in this range. Great lows, mids everything. I mean in this price range, its the best. iam very happy i brought this
J’adore la musique et il me faut de la qualit. Ces enceintes me comblent. Aucun bruit de fond. Son stro. Chaque instrument de musique se dtache de l’ensemble. Son net avec de belles basses profondes et riches. Je suis impressionne et ils sont trs faciles installer. Vraiment un trs bon achat !!!
Suenan bien para una habitacin pequea. No pidas mucha potencia, pero es normal para lo que cuestan. La calidad de sonido est bien.
Ho acquistato questi monitor perch avevo bisogno di due casse piccole ma che suonassero bene quando alzavo di volume. Ho letto le altre recensioni e le ho prese. Sono soddisfatto. Le consiglio per tutti. Videomaker, producer, DJ e per altri usi.

A primo impatto non credevo potessero emanare tutta questa potenza essendo un po’ piccole di dimensioni. Sorprende la qualit del suono, regolazione medio bassi dietro la cassa attiva. L’unica cosa che non mi piace ad essere sincero il tasto di accensione direttamente nella rotellina del volume (potevano benissimo metterlo dietro singolarmente) se volete qualcosa di acora pi professionale suggerisco i modelli successivi della M-Audio come la bx8 ma ripeto rapporto qualit prezzo imbattibile,suono pulitissimo.

The size and sound quality was just I needed. The bluetooth pairs up real fast and the speakers are well built.

Beginner on music production – those monitor are great for a home office studio – Clear (mid and high) sure u need subwoofer if your are looking for deepbass feelings. If you listening to music on headphones and want to ear whats your production on speaker – yeah thats cool solution! Those are not meant to a block party speaker or a mega huge living room (at high volume i mean) But perfect for enjoying music at home / studio!
I bought these for my home studio setup, being new to music production I was not sure what to expect.
I tried them with a variety of sound source, tv, phone and laptop and was impressed with their clarity across the range, clear top, middle and bottom.
They are not entertainment speakers so don’t boost the bass, the ranges can be boosted via a equaliser otherwise the sound is fairly neutral.
Depending on where you live, 120w can be loud enough to annoy your neighbours while I have not found any deterioration in sound quality at higher volumes.
Whatever you use these speakers for, they are fantastic value for money and would definitely purchase again.
I was worried these wouldn’t be the most powerful speakers but I was so wrong!!

Suenan bien, los bajos no son muy fuertes y es perfecta para editar audio de video. Pens que ambas seran activas pero es una activa y una pasiva. El volumen no es mucho muy fuerte pero suficiente!
heses little buggers don’t half punch out the lows and highs with sound and are well capable of pushing 70watts with no effort at all
But they are very good quality per price. I use them to check how my music will sound in speakers. I still mainly use Studio Headphones.
They have a flat answer in frequency. They are perfect for what they are made. If you buy them and complain could be because you didn’t have done your homework.
Yes, they do not have ‘deep bass ‘. Because they are for a different purpose and they are small. The lowest frequency they can play is around of 70 Hertz. For ‘booming’ bass you may want a 20 Hertz which those small speakers can not fizicaly afford.
Still, when I listen to others people music, I use a special beautiful piece of Open Source software to control the sounds: ‘easyeffects’ for pipewire; I don’t use Pulse Audio (I replaced with pipewire).
I want to mention that I use mainly Linux (Manjaro) and Open Source software.

Pour ma part les meilleures dans cette gamme de prix biensur. Un son magnifique , de bonnes basses, parfait quilibre. Je l’es recommande, aprs chaque personne son coute personnel et des gots differents.
Mais j’ai dj couter des KRK , des Mackie mais les M-AUDIO reste mes prfrs !!!

Le ho collegate dal mio Mac, con cui faccio audio semi-professionale. Sono rimasto allibito dalla qualit e potenza del suono. Anche perch a seconda dei gusti sono regolabili nel tono. Ottimo acquisto e super consigliato a chi volesse fare musica seriamente senza spendere cifre a tre zeri!

I do like him them, but I wish they wouldn’t auto power off. Or they would be better if they powered back on much faster.
The sound quality is rather good for the price and the profile. I needed a good pair of reference speakers for both work and home and at the price they are a nice quality pack.
A fun and amazing speaker system! If you are looking for rich tonal sounding speakers you’ve got it with these awesome looking cuties. Way down deep rich bass which won’t disappoint and will get the attention of your neighbours. Amazing when you consider these are only active speakers. I fully endorse M-AUDIO BX4 120 watt speaker system!

Je recherchais de petites enceintes de monitoring pour produire occasionnellement de la musique, et je recommande vraiment celles ci, le son est clair, agrable. Le seul trs lger dfaut, et malgr qualibrage, les basses manquent lgrement de prcision mon gout, mais trs bon produit !
Bought these as my last pair went bang. Was impressed with the sound, very good. My only gripe is that if they haven’t been used for a while, the sound takes time to come out of them, what I mean is if I put sound through them, it takes a few seconds for the sound to come out, strange I know? Apart from that though, all good.
Suonano veramente bene, ottimo il rapporto qualit/prezzo, manca solo un po’ di brillantezza che possibile migliorare con la regolazione dei toni, bassi eccellenti anche se il range di regolazione minimo.
Ha 2 tipi di collegamento, con connettori bilanciati il suono pi pulito.
Le uso come monitor per per le mie playlist e sono perfette. Totalmente soddisfatto
Creia que no me iban a gustar como suenan de fuerte por su tamao pero la verdad que es me he quedado bocaabierta, aun no he podido ponerlo al maximo, por miedo a que los vecinos aparezcan a la puerta XD
Due to a failure of one of my Adam A3x monitors I use, I wanted to get a temporary pair of monitors for my small studio/work from home setup. I am incredibly impressed with the overall sound and build quality of these speakers for sub 100. I like the fact that you can control the EQ of the speakers to match the room – I have very small ‘box’ room that I use and I’m limited to size of the equipment. Easy setup. I would say that there is a slight lack of the midrange frequencies, but nothing too substantial – I’m being very picky here. Very happy with the purchase.

It’s very good sounds when connected to focusrite enterface to computer. Thank you for the people who had helped me for the connection. Cable are supplied. Why I got 4 star because instructions only showed phone and tablet only for the setting upbut otherwise very good quality ..

I bought these speakers after great reviews .. Opened the box and there they were. Good looking speakers. Realised the cables were not inside the box despite the product description saying that inside the box it included the speakers and cables. I had to go and buy what I needed to plug them in costing a further 28.00.. I was not happy so total cost for the BX4 came to 128 total… M-Audio… Sort this out please for the next unsuspecting customer.. Shame because its a great product!
I bought mine a few months ago. They perform ok. I do not use the included cables but only because I have great custom cables in place.
I bought them to compare mixes made on my mains and, for that, they work pretty well. No interference with the 80Hz crossover point on my sub so that was good.
I have a number of M-Audio interfaces and other products. On the rare occasions I’ve needed tech support, I’ve had no problem getting someone on the phone.
I’ve heard better at this size, frankly. I’m not seeing these as being available anymore. That said, I’m not looking to replace them.
Pur avendoli acquistati usati, devo dire che mi sono arrivati in buono stato e soprattutto non immaginavo di ascoltare un suono cristallino con bassi profondi. Consigliate assolutamente, io le sto usando con il mio controller Pioneer, pompano di brutto.
Le uso come secondo ascolto accoppiate a delle focal.
Devo dire che sono sorpreso dalla qualit del suono a questo prezzo.
Ovviamente pecca di basse frequenze ma sono soddisfatto di questa seconda scelta.
Consigliate per chi deve fare delle prod home studio e non ha pretese alte.
I use mine for mixing backing tracks for my duo at low to moderate levels and they sound great..They are NOT designed to push out loud bottom heavy music, they are a studio monitor..NOT a high end stereo speaker…
Mi experiencia con M-Audio siempre ha sido satisfactoria, es la segunda vez que compro monitores de esta marca, aunque en esta ocasin debo aclarar que me sent insatisfecho al principio por la construccin de los monitores, que se sienten ligeros y frgiles, pero siendo honestos, si son para tenerlos wstacionarios en un estudio pequeo no es problema, cumplen muy bien lo que se espera que hagan unos monitores de este tamao, esta potencia y este precio. Los recomiendo ampliamente como una de las mejores marcas y un gran modelo para su segmento.
These sound excellent and are plenty loud, especially considering how inexpensive they are. However, certain devices produce a constant buzz in the signal. I’m not sure if that’s caused by the speakers or the device, but it’s annoying nonetheless. Also, after power the speakers on, it takes them several seconds to start playing audio. Still a great value for the money.
First of all: great value. Sound quality? Good enough for my use as computer desktop monitors. No, these will not replace your full-size, $500 speakers, but they are pleasant for everyday monitoring, and not very fatiguing. The tweeters are a bit “beamy,” so they sound best when you are sitting in a narrow “sweet spot.” Keep them about 5 feet away from you and this effect will be minimized. But let me repeat: great value and not much money.
These are my first monitor speakers and I’m pleased with them
Using these monitors with PreSonus Studio One-5 and PreSonus Studio 24c Audio Interface and onboard dell sound card. Sound quality is good, loud and clear, but can’t compare with any other Monitors as my old set up was a small Altec Lancing desk top speakers and sub- woofer which I had for years.
For me its very well balanced, good mids and treble with just the right amount of bass. Good sound definition.
For this price its probably the best home studio monitors I’ve ever had and dont think I will be swapping them for anything else anytime soon.

The speakers would have been perfect but the let down was the bass,after the first day it went all distorted and I have no idea why.sometimes it’s OK and sometimes not.everytime I send stuff back I’m paying over 25 p&p.so I give up…..
I’ve had these for 2 weeks now and can say I am really pleased and would recommend. My only gripe is (and this could be a deal breaker for some) the sound quality from the headphone socket is awful, with a significant amount of bottom end missing when compared to my audio interface headphone out. I also replaced the cheap speaker connecting cable as it is really thin and longer than I need.
UPDATE: I tried the headphone socket again and it seems fine now, maybe I hadn’t plugged it in all the way before.
Great small pair of monitors, pack a punch and such a good price. the functionality for plugging direct into the front and powering off the pair of speakers from the front is a real bonus. I ended up sending the Bx5 speakers back as these were just great for what I needed.
However, I also have a set of Presonus Eris E 4.5 monitors and I have to say that the Eris Monitors are not as powerful but I believe the sound quality is a little better. By that I mean that you get a truer/honest/ more neutral sound. The difference isn’t huge but is noticeable. So if music production is your game then I would recommend the E4.5s over the M- Audio BX-4s. I have given the M-Audio 5 stars and it 100% suits my needs as speakers for my record player. The sound colouration difference between the two is not huge and the M-Audio are by far the best you will get for 100. They look and operate like much more expensive units.
If you want a really full sound, great bass, versatility and build quality, I don’t think you’ll do better than the M- Audio at this price point. If you are mixing, recording or producing however and want a true and uncoloured sound and you don’t need endless volume, then the 2×25 Watt Eris 4.5 are by far the most superior monitors out there for under 150.
Unbelievably beautiful sound. Didn’t expect it to be this good. If you are sick of trying new speakers, this would be the last one that you’d purchase.
Il top della gamma M-AUDIO! Ho acquistato le BX4 e devo dire che sono pienamente soddisfatto dalla qualit e dalla brillantezza del suono! Appena ho aperto la scatola mi preso male perch le vedevo troppo piccole ma poi dopo averle collegate ad un mixer Numark mi sono accorto che piano piano tirano fuori sempre pi potenza! Purtroppo l unica pecca che nella scatola non incluso un cavo jack da 6.5 mm per l’uscita bilanciata e l ho dovuto comprare a parte. Prodotto davvero consigliato!
These also look awsome with the woven cones, and maybe one of the most satisfying volume dials i have ever used… such a nice click turning them on, almost worth it for that alone lol

4 Stelle per il momento il massimo che posso dare. Perch? Perch assurdo non fornire dei cavi bilanciati (anche economici per carit) e costringere l’utente ad acquistarli. Mettete in conto una spesa di almeno 25-30 euro se avete intenzione di collegarle ad un’interfaccia audio. Gi che ci siete prendeteli decenti (sono Jack stereo, mi raccomando!)
Le casse vanno rodate, esattamente come delle Adam da 1000 euro l’una, quindi munitevi di una buona playlist, e un poco di pazienza 🙂
BUT you should know the following:
*The speakers emit a hum when turned up past quite a low level – But luckily, they’re already loud for my needs
*A hopelessly crackly cable is provided to connect the passive speaker, you’ll need to replace it!
* The +6db/-6db for bass/treble feature is great, but sounds more like +4db/-4db to me. I’ve set mine on max.
*They’re good for making/listening to music/watching Netflix etc, NOT serious reference monitors!
