The DCL184Z can be used without a nozzle by using bevelled and straight pipe as a nozzle, the hose can be extended up to 1 metre and can be stored on the cleaner by inserting the straight pipe into the cleaner body.
DCL184Z accepts disposable bags with a 330ml dust capacity as well as a 550ml capacity cloth dust bag. The cloth dust bag included is washable in soapy water for repeated use.
The DCL184Z is supplied with a range of accessories; seat nozzle; narrow nozzle with line brushes and side brushes – ideal for removing fine dust or hair from a car seat, mat nozzle; nubs around the suction opening help rake out sand grains, rubber nozzle; very gentle to the surface to clean and ideal for cleaning bottom corners such as door pockets or console box between seats and soft brush; convenient for cleaning air conditioning vents.
The DCL184Z is not compatible with G-Series batteries.

The DCL184Z is a cordless Vacuum Cleaner, powered by 18V Li-ion LXT slide type battery (not included), to deliver up to 5.4 kPa maximum sealed suction and 38W suction power when set on maximum, 23W on high and 5W on normal setting, ideal for cleaning car interiors.
The DCL184Z is equipped with variable speed control with a 3 stage push button, battery capacity warning lamp, overheat protection; the motor shuts down if the tool or battery overheats and blower function. By disconnecting the hose from the Vacuum and placing the blower nozzle to the air exhaust vent on the side of the cleaner, the Vacuum Cleaner becomes a Blower.

I tried again and found there wasn’t enough suction. For that reason and always having to have a battery to use it, and the weight it adds I returned it and I got a hand held with an adapter to charge it, with a huge dirt cup and is very powerful, way more than this model. I love Makita products but not this one
Oh dear I thought to myself when I got it out the box, looks like I’ve bought a toy one
But then I used it in my quite big Daf XF super space cab , well it done a lovely job of cleaning up the cab, attachments get you into the bits you need to , and used with a 5 amp battery done the truck cab and most of my car, not the end of the world if you have batteries on hand, easy to use, easy to clean out the dust bag, it’s never going to have the suction of a corded vacuum cleaner so don’t think that it’s going to, be realistic. For a portable battery vacuum cleaner it’s a bit good , if you already have Makita kit and batteries it’s a good additio
Bought this on a wim to keep me van clean and tidy. Does the job OK. Not a lot of suction power for the money was expecting better. But it works looks smart and came in a great bag lol

Nach einiger Zeit lie die Saugleistung nach. Die Lautstrke ist ok. Lsst sich sehr gut tragen. Zum Bohrstaub saugen bei der Deckenlampen Montage sehr hilfreich. Aber zum Autoaussaugen reicht er nicht aus. Hatte mir etwas mehr erhofft. Er wird trotzdem benutzt.
dafr das ein ein Akkusauger ist hat er eine gute Saugkraft.
