Bought this to complement my existing LXT 18v kit, already had batteries and chargers so body only just the job.
I’ve used this to replace underfloor in an old house, lay laminate and cut for plenty of general tasks. It’s not stopped cutting.
Only downside is the lack of battery, I didn’t realise how expensive these are so I’ve just been using the one from my drill.
I had a bunch of 80x80mm posts cuts: These needed to be rotated because of the blade depth – but it still ripped through them!
Absolutely useless need a refund, owned since April and has now broken. Only been used for light work (ie) laminate flooring and 5×1 floor boards. Will be returning product.
Would recommend minimum 4ah battery best for 5ah but the saw is light and powerful
This was bought for my friends partner as a thankyou gift for all the help he has given my partner with DIY in the garden. Ge absolutely loved it and it added another item to his growing collectio
I did leave a review before that It was missing a part, the seller sent that part very quickly and now the saw is complete great seller Communication, and a very usefull saw for general work
I have been looking for a circular saw for sometime and after taking the plunge with Makita drill I plumbed for this one. I wasn’t disappointed, the weight and ease of use are great. Super delivery time and communication with the seller. Would recommend.
It comes with a really good blade. The base plate is really solid, the blade guard has a good depth gauge on it. Really impressed with the performance of the saw. Considered buying the brushless model, but couldn’t justify spending 50 over this one. Really happy with my choice.
Really pleased i got this. Easy to use, not too heavy. Excellent blade and cutting strength
Best 18v circular saw for the money. Fast accurate, lightweight. Battery 5ah good run time. Makes straight cuts a breeze. I love the Makita tool line up and this is just another great saw.
This was a present so I can’t give a review on its performance, sorry.
Bought it for a recent job I was doing, and didn’t realise how much I needed one. Made my job so much easier when having to trim down doors that I was fitting. Beautiful neat cutting and extremely precise. Should of purchased a long time ago. Buy Makita you are guaranteed quality and satisfaction and at a great price.
Surprisingly powerful. You can understand why it’s used by the professionals.
Downside for the DIY market…. no lase
Bought this for a present for some one. He loves it . He used it to cut work tops and he was so impressed, he said it cut through them like butter . He wishes he had one sooner instead of struggling like he had been doing . So he gives this 5* he said . Far better build quality that dewalt which seem to be going down in build quality nowadays according to him . Thats why hes swapping over to makita .
Used one at work for a long time, now bought my own really good tool
So far, barely used because of materials delays but it seems to be the usual excellent quality from Makita and light years better than my old sawa very elderly Bosch from around 1983/84!
Great little saw. Accuracy is good and the safety cut out is go too
Bought this half way through building my shed, what difference!! Ideal bit of kit worth every penny
Very pleased with the quality of this tool, hope that it will have a long life, as it handles well
I pondered about getting this or the mains powered one, I’m glad I got this it’s great.
After my Ryobi burnt out I looked for the same model to replace in. After seeing the Makita was a cheaper option I bit the bullet and order one. The quality and feel is so much better and from this first makita purchase I’ve gone on to buy 7 other 18v items. Makita is he king of my shed.
Very very impressed. Recently bought Makita LXT combo drill which has two batteries so no brainer. The depth and angle adjustment s are a breeze. The kerf very thin so cuts even 50mm soft wood like a knife through the preverbial. I pick up this light weight saw to do most cuts now. Love it. I can see me investing in 5Ah batteries from the 3Ah I have but don’t get me wrong it runs and runs. I made 40 X 35 degree cuts 130mm across 40mm thick soft wood and the battery still had 2 lights lit.
Why buy inferior products when you know you have to get a brand that does the job
Makita is a brand you can trust and this did not disappoint
Used a number of times and very accurate and cuts through wood like butte
Bought this for my husband’s Christmas present to go with the Makita circular saw case I got for him too.
I bought it to build a raised bed with sleepers. It did the work, and it was easy to use. I would recommend it.
I dropped my last one and bent the bed, as i had, had it for several years and being a carpenter it was used a lot i had no hesitation in going straight for a replaceme
I purchased this as I was about to start an extension at home. I am so glad I did this has saved me so much time. It’s very easy to use and cuts through wood very easily. I would highly recommend this
Like all Matilda tools, this is great little circular saw.
great little saw – much better than a hand saw!
ice, powerful little saw. A bit heavy on battery life so make sure you have a charged/charging spare
Makita DSS611Z LXT Body Only Cordless 18 V Circular Saw easy to use ,well made.
Used a handful of times. Really good tool, pretty heavy for what it is.
I enjoy using this for DIY projects. I’ve used it a few times so far and it’s been spot o
Great piece of kit, the blade is powerful. The saw cuts through all types of material.
One of the best power tool maker, hope that says it all.
Was unsure whether it would be as good as my 110v just as good in my opinio
Really quick delivery nice saw and good service. Would buy again from this outle
Really impressed with this cordless saw. Worked great with the range of 18V LXT makita batteries i already had and cuts ply sheeting with considerable ease. Get the hang of the size adjustment guide and it is great for taking off slices of uniform size. Great price as well on amazon.
Lightweight and good power. Just a little difficult to line up cut line on base plate
Best saw i have had. Easy to use and ligh
This is such a great saw. Makes DIY easy! Really good action.
Bought as a present for my dad. Good price and arrived the next day.
Makita cordless circular saw this is the business I’ve had this a good while now top quality
Good Saw for the price and decent quality being a Makita, I use it with a 4 or 5 ah battery and it cuts kitchen worktops with no probs with a nice clean cut with very little break out if you cut the tops upside down.
What can I say its makita the best in the business
Good saw for a great price. I would buy the saw again.
Best thing I’ve brought this year, joy to use and unlike mains one , I can’t recommend this enough, love i
Smooth, quiet (ish!), accurate and so easy to use. I used this for trimming doors prior to hanging and it has done a great job. No problem to trim 2mm or more off a door bottom and it leaves a clean cut.
Used this tool for a while now and I highly recommend.
As per another great product by Makita and easy to use
Great little saw, cutting through floor joists without stress. Battery life is longer than I expected too
Love this saw a bit lighter than expected but the blade cuts like hot knife through the butter.
A welcome addition to my kit.
You are tempted to use it on large section but be careful as you could easily burn it out.
This is very good value if you already have Makita 18v kit, easy to use and cuts really well.
Ease of handling coupled with the 3A/H 18v battery pack.Bags of power for what I want.
Fantastic product and have had absolutely no issues as expected from Makita tools
I like it a lot, very pleased with its performance.
With 5ah batts it lasts long enough
Fantastic. After putting up with using a 110v tool for years dragging around a heavy transformer then going to this . I had my doubts but wow. Why didn’t I do it years ago. No more leads and heavy equipment to cart around in the va
Really easy to use, lightweight and powerful yet small. Wish I’d bought this years ago
Excellent value for money brilliant circular saw for the price even the blade that comes with it slices through worktops easily
Another superb Makita power tool. Works great with 3.0ah and 5.0ah batteries and lasts a long time between charges. Really great to be able to take the saw to the product instead of vice Versa.
I’ve tried rechargeable saws in the past and been disappointed. But I’ve slowly been replacing tools with Makita products, and I’ve never been disappointed. I was looking for a circular saw with a diecast base so as to make precise mitre cuts. I saw this and although dubious about a cordless saw, decided to give it a try based on previous Makita experience.
I’m not disappointed. With a 6-year-old 4Amp/hour battery, I made six lengthways cuts and three crosscuts on12mm OSB over three 8×4 sheets and the battery was still powering the saw.
It is very easy to control and a delight to use. As usual, I am very impressed with Makita products.
Makita, as always, really tough and good. Lovely thin cut, particularly good on T & G floorboards.
My husband was very pleased with this, he has all the other Makita Tools and wanted to stick with a brand he knew so well.
It does NOT come with a battery.
Not a problem for us as He swaps and changes the Battery’s with his other Makita Cordless Powertools.
It came with a circular blade so ready to use straight away!
I’ve been a Makita collector for 30 years, and this is yet another fine addition. Well made, plenty powerful enough, vast choice of blades, good value alternative battery options available as well as the own brand.
Works exactly as it should and for the price it’s fantastic. I only have 3ah batteries so if you’re doing a day of cutting you’ll need two 3ah batteries on rotation as it’s pretty hungry.
The cutting action and feel is nice, cutting 25mm MDF with ease it felt safe and predictable. Some more powerful saws feel like animals in your hand.
Very stable and portable construction, much better for day to day jobs than a corded saw.
Great product. Much easier to use than my old corded one. Shame the batteries cost so much.
Swift delivery, good quality, very happy with this company and the produc
all good/brilliant bit of kit would highly recommend/shame it was without battery.
What can I say perfect and at a grand price
I’ve only used it a couple of times. Bought it after seeing my professional jointer using one. Stunning product. Easy to control and feels very robus
if i compare this with a 7″ skilsaw (240v) then the makita is under-powered and feels a little light weight. but considering it is cordless it’s flexibility on-site is great. with a fully charged battery it will go thru 2″ timbers without too much fuss.
Just got it and love it.. cross cuts 6×2 4×2 with ease. Osb and mdf. No cables. makes life easier doing attic converts
The saw was a great gift it’s the style and weight of it. He has used in most days since purchase and I can fully recommend this important tool. It has made such a difference to his work.
Great tool, very powerful, versatile and easy to use. Have heard it for a number of jobs and I’m surprised how often I use it!
What a lovely circle saw this is lightweight, well made, with no power cable to get in the way, at a fare price! Arrived the next day good service.
guys iv done building trade and diy , i love this. easy use if you remember to charge bat on any Z type product you can use 3 ,4 ,5 ah bats ,im glad as i had 20 1830 makita batteries from past products now i m starting up grad to 1840 then 2 or 3 more years to 1850 i will never buy crap or cheep again not worth it if they burn out i will only give a product 4 stars as there is always something wrong with an item
Great saw, very happy! Only thing was the delivery outer packaging and a hole made through it right through the Makita boxing aswell! So looks like someone’s tried to have a look what was inside
Seems to be a quality tool- I have a soft spot for Makita equipment but this seems particularly good.
Bargain basement saw from Makita. Good performance, and feels nice to use. Capable of completing most of the tasks you’d expect of a saw like this. Quite powerful for what is a reasonably priced quality tool. As you might imagine, it’s got a healthy current draw so 4 and 5ah batteries are the order of the day. If you’re doing a lot of work I’d suggest 3 or 4 batteries at least. A friend of mine takes 12 batteries with him on jobs for his Makita tools.
Very well balanced saw. I have used a larger saw but this one is very useful
Absolutely love this saw. I was sceptical as to whether it would have enough power for what I wanted but I managed to trim the bottom off 4 doors with ease. Still plenty of power left in the battery. Definitely won’t be going back to my corded saw.
This saw uses a thinner blade than I was expecting, but it rips through everything I’ve hit it with yet – oak skirting, deck boards you name it! Love it and would recommend!
Brilliant piece of kit. Bit scared at first use but followed instructions and had no problems with clean fast cuts.
so far so good, just the standard blades that comes wit it, is too thin and only 18 teeth.
I gonna by a new one with 40 teeth at leas
The saw is great and works well. The price was good taking into account I had to buy a battery separately. Did not take into account the price of the charger as my existing tools had a different battery. Still its a good saw.
Excellent price and delivery, it cuts very nicely with plenty of power and feels quite solid.
I need some one to pick this I teem up l have tried to phone you up can not find your number ,I have tried to leave messages please pick it up Saturday morning or Monday morning. We don,t need two of these. Please help us. Thank you
Great wee saw some good features an easy to use
Delivered to wrong address on a different street. Thanks parcel force.
Good saw and does the job.
So, so convenient. Much more useful than my mains fed saw, although it did discharge the battery quite quickly during heavy use. No problem with spare batteries on hand.
I’ve loved Makita tools for years and, if given the price points, will always go Japanese. There’s nothing like the force exerted from such a small tool. Given the right power source it can last many, many hours, which is gratifying and exciting as well for getting the job done right. If controlled correctly, the kickback is non-existent. She is a wonder to work with and guarantees numerous happy endings.
This is a great cordless saw, i’ve cut so much wood with this saw and have not change the blade yet, A++ 5 STAR
I’ve cut thin and thick small and large pieces of wood no problem
Good quality circular saw. I ‘ve cut 22 mm thick floor board and 50 mm joists with this saw since purchase. No issues or lack of power.
Amazing bit of kit, should have bought one years ago. It is so convenient to use without the hassle of a lead and is so accurate with no kick at all when starting up. Truly a great purchase and highly recommended.
Oh yes, cut wood like its not there, so so easy to use, little heaver than i thought it would be but hay you can feel the quality
