Great tool but bought more expensive makita model so just press trigger to release blade rather than use Allen key provided.

I bought this to cut the tile corner and thought for finer job I can do better with this than angle grinder but don’t buy it fur that purpose ad I did a mistake.
This is a good multi tool but not for tile cutting as it says in the description.

A multi tool is so handy I end up using it nearly every day. The only downside to this one is I have noticed the head is moving around but won’t move back meaning I can no longer mount the saw straight up it on more of a 45 degree angle.

Great tool. One of those ‘what did I do before I had one of these?’

This is really solidly built, it’s heavy and tough. The LED light is really useful. Combined with a nice Bosch blade, it cuts through wood with ease. As a DIYer I’m not changing blades very often, professional users might want to pay the extra for the models with quick release blades.

Didn’t know you needed an Allen key to change the blade As it does not stay in it place when you start cutting you have get replacement quite often ps did read the discription properly

Brilliant 18v versatile tool. Helps when you have those awkward cuts to make. Battery life is pretty good in 5ah pack. Variable speed control. Changing blades is just an Allen key away. Makita does it again.

Easy to use and easy to change the blades using the Allen key provided with the multi tool.

Great tool wish I would of brought one a long time ago Great value for money the only down side is not having quick change version but that’s more expensive for the sake of using Allen key to change blades it’s worthit!

You can get cheaper mains powered versions but as I had other LXT powered marital tools this made sense. Works well and appears to be of the usual Makita quality. The tool is quite heavy and would be tiring for long jobs although this could be true of all multitools.

Good and handy bit of kit. But the vibration on the main body when you hold it could do with being reduced. Vibration in your hand!!

It’s a great tool. But I’m used to quick release so I passed it on and upgraded to quick release again. It’s good quality would recommend

This is the 2nd Makita multi-cutter I’ve bought. It’s an invaluable tool for many tight or difficult uses. What irritates me is that I did not know, when buying my 1st one, about the 3-year Makita warranty, if registered within 30 days of purchase. So, my 1st one, after heavy use smoked up and died on me after 18 months. Had I known about the Makita on-line registration, it would have been under warranty. Regardless, I’ve bought another. It is now registered for the 3-year warranty on Makita’s website. Exceptionally versatile tool.

Great bit of kit, should of got one ages ago. You can change the attachments in seconds. Not really worth paying more for the quick release.

Bought to replace a Bosch 10.8v multitool. Far superior as a sander/cutter but the downside is it is significantly heavier. Saying that I wouldn’t go back.
