Proved invaluable at work. I do property refurbishment and maintenance.Use it for all sorts . Excellent for removing old grout out of tiles. My mate has a DeWalt but prefers the Makita. Beware some of the blades you can buy are a bit dodgy.
I was like a kid in a sweet shop fantastic tool like me will recommend to everyone
So versatile and sturdy. Saved me a lot of time, effort and money on a variety of jobs around the house
Super handy and very versatile.
Dewalt one is easier to use but if you already have makita 18v batteries a good alternative and addition to the tool box
Compatible with all the bits I’ve bought so far and so many to choose from
I adore Makita normally but not this one.. The sanding Velcro’s slip after a short time and the sanding strips wear out fast.. The tool with the battery attached is heavy and with only 20 mins use i was suffering in the wrist.. For me it’s too big and too heavy which is a shame ..
Exactly what you would expect from Makita, gradually replacing all my Hilti gear as replacement batteries got to expensive. Would highly recommend.
This is my second one of these first one died after 3 years of heavy use in the building trade.
Good quality tool, makita are reliable an d robust and this is another example of there workmanship.
Great value for money. Comfortable to hold. Easy on, easy off mechanism a game changer for me. No more worries over lost Allen key when changing blades.
Dislike I can’t say I have one. I like that with this one I can use any type of blade comparing with the more expensive version of multi tool from Makita
If your a tradesman it’s a must have in your toolki
Excellent value for money made my job a lot easie
Compared to a Fein this tool is big in the hand. Ot seems to work well and the toolless blade change is welcome. I’m not sure if it takes the new type multicaster blades though. The old , really old star only type of Fein multimaster blades do not fit.
Good value so far and if it lasts for a few years.
easy to use, abit bulky but workable. yet to find somewhere i cannot fit i
Not the cheapest, but I find Makita products to have consistently good quality across the range. I’m only a DIY’er but in 6 years nothing I’ve bought from Makita has missed a beat… so I just keep adding to the bag.
This worked as expected. Heavy enough to not transfer much vibration to the hand which is something to watch out for with vibrating equipment. You don’t want vibration white finger!
It’s quite heavy but powerful, I love the blade change method, it’s so quick and easy, lasts fairly well on a 5AH battery, recommended.
Huge Makita fan and recently added this to my collection. I’m a keen DIYer and this was to replace a Titan branded multi tool. The difference is night and day. Brilliant quality (quite a bit heavier) but does the job superbly.
Makita are pretty good when it comes to there tools.
I have a range of Makita 18v cordless tools, so now just buy tool only range as I have chargers and batteries, I’ve had a corded version and it was annnoying to have to run an extension cable every time to use it so opted to upgrade to the tool less blade change versio
Great tool bought with accessories already own other Makita tools so didn’t need batteries or charge
Great multi tool has been used for cutting out socket boxes and trimming stops and facing
Usual Makita quality, quick release tool change, excellent bit of kit.
Does go through the battery quite quickly though so worth having a second battery on standby if you’re doing a big job
Very good tool. Not sure why I missed that of not having earlier.
an absolutely fantastic tool, i dont know how i managed without i
Works well and great to have a keyless blade changer.
It is a great easy to use and fit different pits without having to use any extra tools. Not too light or too heavy. I used several times already. Very happy
I already had a mains multitool but it is useful to have added this to my existing 18v system and is convenient. Works very well. You need to make sure the blade is fully fitted as has a tendency not to lock tight unless pressed into place quite firmly.
Love this bit of kit for the variety of things it can do, especially finessed cutting. I find the sanding sheets slide a bit from the Velcro patch and sanding intricate corners of coving or skirting is probably easier to do manually. I like the quick release but the lock feels like it might break after a short time. If it doesn’t then it’s a great value catch for the money.
Bought this tool as had a number of other battery powered makita tools. Proved its worth, gone through a lot of blades and attachments, would recommend this. Easy blade change is quick and simple compared to before.
Great piece of kit, the no tool quick change function is great. Top addition to the Makita 18v LXT ki
With me only just getting into the world of DIY, this tool has been absolutely fantastic! Bought it only a couple of days ago and have already found it to be invaluable and made my life so much easier!
I’m looking forward to buying more tools from Makita soo
Use it almost every day for cutting hole in dry lining boards and timber, uses same batteries as my other Makita tools.
Suitable for all tradesme
Well packaged to protect tool in transit, exactly as described, delivered on time as promised. Great tool, solid and easy to use.
So far, used for cutting wood joints, trimming wood, sawing, removing grout, sanding, how did I live without it?. This model is heavy/thick, especially with a 5 amp battery, and initially a bit fiddley getting the blades in, but practice makes perfect, now its clonk click and its in.
The grout tool was 13 and a set of 4 blades, 15, and I can see a life stretching ahead where the purveyor’s of blades/accessory will blead me dry. The trick is keep the power down and not use much force, blades will do a much better job and last longer. If you wear a glass eye or false teeth, take them/it out as the vibration on tough jobs will take them/it out for you.
This is the best multitool I have ever bought. It seems to fit all available attachments, unlike the mains products I have previously purchased and the locking mechanism is strong and simple. The convenience of having a battery powered tool outweighs the hassle of weight and recharging when working outdoors. Delighted with this !!!
I bought this for my husband and its already earned its price he loves it and has used it so much putting the finishing touches to the kitchen will with the money
Really nice tool, I’ve used a colleagues wired version many times in my day job. I opted for the wireless version and having used it for a month or so now, I’m perfectly happy with that decision. It is slightly heavier than it’s wired counterpart, but the lack of wires makes up for that. I bought a makpac type 2 with shadow foam inserts which store this perfectly. If you use a multitool a lot throughout your day, then you’d be better off going for the wired version obviously, otherwise this is great! Blades are also easy to change.
The multi tool is an awesome aid to getting those awkward jobs done and has so many applications
It’s a must have tool in you ki
I have been using this tool for about six months and find it incredibly useful. It’s been used to trim the bottom of a door, lifting and replacing floor boards and most recently to cut exterior UPVC cladding to shape and size when I replaced all the cladding on my house. It allows you to make very neat joins in difficult to reach places. It’s also been used as a sander as well as on other projects. I only wish I had bought one years ago.
This tool is easy to use and can be registered for a free extended warranty
Had to request a replacement for mine as when it come the blade would not fit straight due to the pins being miss aligned. Replacement one that was sent was perfect however and the tool is brilliant.
Just like a corded version this just keeps on going. So easy to change blades and hold the battery power really well. One of my best purchases recently
Wish I’d bought this years ago!
Pleased with this one – fits my existing batteries. Seems to work well though of course it’s far too soon to report on longevity. The tool-free blade change is a seriously good plan. I would have been kicking myself for penny-pinching every time I wanted to change the blade – or change the angle of attack.
As always Makita surpasses itself great value good quality should’ve bought one years previous
Great bit of kit. Have a corded one which I rarely use now only if I have alot of zimming to do. So easy to grab and go with this and with the quick release
It’s the most helpful tool you could ever imagine it can do sanding job It will cut through metal ,would even a stone perfect for all the kind of jobs highly recommended
From the moment it arrived my other half had to find something to use it on. It works just like it should.
The multi tool is a must have tool if your working with plasterboard, wood, metal etc. Its like a Swiss army knife. It takes the time and effort away from cutting, sawing, sanding. Very good price as well you won’t be disappointed.
I know this is a good tool due to watching You tube reviews. Top but of kit. However what ever your cutting must be firmly held or it just vibrates with the blade , obvious really. However on some reviews I saw it was so far from the vice the movement created a rubbish demo.
