The DTW251Z is a compact and lightweight, cordless Impact Wrench powered by 18V Li-ion battery (not included). The Makita built 4 pole motor provides maximum torque, and delivers up to 2,100 rpm / 3,200 ipm.
The Impact Wrench features variable speed control by trigger for precise fastening in a wide range of applications, a conveniently located push button for forward/reverse, and LED job light with afterglow. The hammer case cover protects the work piece from scratches, increasing maneuverability. The phosphorescent bumpers glow in the dark.

The thing works great, takes off lug nuts with a 100ft/lbs torque. Light enough too! Went to pick n pull and felt it was worth the purchase after the first trip. The trigger is variable that you can slowly take some of the smaller nuts/ bolts/screws out.

This impact its better then my air one, actually tightens to 230ftlbs and loosen is good for 300ftlbs, I highly recommend another quality tool from makita.
Great sized tool for getting into small spaces like engine compartments. Appears to have plenty of power for the things I used it for like taking engine parts off and installing casters on a work bench. It was a very useful purchase and I believe Makita make quality tools that last regardless of how hard you make them work.

This wrench was my final piece of my jigsaw, for my garage.
I purchased some decent impact sockets to go with.
The only concern I have is that it’s not as powerful as I thought it was going to be. When doing a motorcycle wheel nut (19mm), 2 weeks later I found that the nut had become lose. So in was back to ratchet spanners.

Nachdem ich einen 12V AEG 97135 Schlagschrauber SD 340 mit mehreren Radwechseln “systematisch zerstrt” hatte – siehe meine dbzgl. Rezension – , bin ich zum Radwechseln auf den Makita-Schrauber gewechselt.
Bisher habe ich stets gute Erfahrungen mit Makita-Maschinen gemacht.
Ich wurde auch in diesem Fall bisher nicht enttuscht.
Bei meinem Toyota Landcruiser klappt es mhelos, die Radmuttern sind immerhin mit 110 Nm angezogen.
Die Schrauben gehen ‘runter wie nichts, bisher nicht die geringsten Probleme (Wenn nicht die Werkstatt vorher bei der Inspektion geschludert und die Muttern mit LKW-Drehmoment plus Sicherheitszuschlag angezogen hat!).
Kleiner Tip: wenns nicht gleich klappt, den Schrauber ruhig mal so zehn sek. “rdeln” lassen, nicht gleich aufgeben.
Meine Kumpels leihen sich sehr gern den Schrauber zum Radwechseln aus, sie sind so begeistert, dass ich schon daran gedacht habe, Miete zu nehmen ;-).
Auch festgerostete Muttern bis ca. M12 an irgendwelcher alten Mechanik lassen sich mit der Hilfe von etwas WD40, Caramba etc. lsen!
Mit dem 4 Ah-Akku hlt der Schrauber ewig durch; wenn man nicht gerade im Akkord arbeitet, wird er nicht nennenswert warm.
Nach einem Jahr intensivem Gebrauch bisher keine nennenswerten Verschleispuren oder Defekte.
Grssere Spax-Schrauben habe ich mangels Gelegenheit bisher nicht getestet.
Leicht, handlich und leistungsstark.
Ich bin zufrieden, volle Empfehlung.
ps Ich wei nicht, woher die schlechten Erfahrungen beim Radwechseln hier kommen, wie knnte man das mal ergrnden?
Aber jetzt mal ehrlich, wer statt dessen zum lsen von Radschrauben einen dafr vllig ungeeigneten normalen Akkuschrauber ohne Schlagwerk empfiehlt…
Eine der besten Investitionen die ich fr meine kleine Werkstatt getan habe, Schraube mit ihm viel am Motorrad(30 Jahre) rum, hier lst er auch angegammelte Schrauben und fr nen paar Sachen am auto kann man ihn auch gebrauchen.
Der Vorteil er hat genug Power aber es werden keine Schrauben abgerissen wie ich es schon beim Druckluft Schlagschrauber hatte wenn diese versammelt waren.
Bei festeren Schrauben muss man ihn etwas lnger ansetzen damit er sie lst aber damit komm ich klar.
Mein Druckluft Schlagschrauber kommt fast nicht mehr zum Einsatz.
