I have fitted a few different types of key safe, this is the best. I got one for my mum and liked it so much I changed the one we had for this type. Big easy to see and turn dials strong .
Feels very solid , well made. Got for occasional use and has been fine, can’t foresee any issue with more regular use.Take reasonable care drilling 4 hols in the wall and it screws on very solidly. I have mine out of direct rain, but the exterior cover would do a good job at deflecting it. Easy to change combination. In terms of security : I think pretty hard to get off the wall, and then you’d still have to open it ; essentially it would be quicker and quieter to just break directly into the building. But I still only put a key in when I plan to use it ( I have another plan for unplanned scenarios ).
One minor niggle : inside there are no hooks to hang things – so when the door open downwards to contents can fall out on the floor. Ok if it’s not directly above a flower bed I guess. So minus 1 star for that; too harsh ?.
Very handy little item, dose the job very well, not too big or clumsy. Sturdy.
Fast delivery. Item as described. Attached to the wall with no issues. Does what it says. My son uses it to get into the house when he comes home from school and I have not arrived home from work. No problems so far.
Not yet fitted but very pleased with product when I sussed out how to reset code to open the lock. Good soiled Keysafe I think it will stand up to the weather also constant usage. Appears to be well constructed.
Bought for mum’s house excellent quality, sturdy, easy to operate. All these things gave us peace of mind to know she is safe and that carers could gain access when needed.
Brilliant. So heavy. Easy to fix up though not by me. There were no plugs though so I got those from a local hardware shop. Plugs make the screws far more secure in the brickwork. It is a great sense of relief to know that is for any reason I cannot get to the door then my nurses or family are able to get in.
Excellent, strong and easy to fit comes with screws but wall plugs not supplied. I don’t know why some people were moaning about the packing and stating it was difficult to remove. When all else fails just read the instructions on the back………easy. The only complaint I would have is that the big sticker on the key safe itself is not low adhesive for easy removal. I found that annoying.
Excellent key safe. Seems much more secure than cheaper ones. My neighbour loved mine so much she got me to order one for her.
Delivered very promptly
Well built and easy to use. Two small issues – 1/ I changed the code using instructions given but then found that I couldn’t open it…..Returned to Amazon for a replacement which arrived in a couple of days which is excellent. 2/ No wallplugs supplied with the safe – I had plenty but maybe someone fitting it may not? Needless to say I haven’t changed the code on the replacement…would have been 5 stars but due to the failure to change correctly only 4.
A strong & secure unit. Advertising picture however is misleading as it appears to show keys hanging on a hook. No such facility is supplied
This is a great product. I bought it for occassional use and found it to be very easy to operate for all those who had reason to.
As with any key safe, it can be levered off the wall but still cannot be opened without specialist tools.
Seems very strong and secure. Code reset is simple, nice positive feel to the dials. Note other reviews, careful how you unpack, use snippers to cut the plastic ties and access the initial code underneath, care it is not 0000!
Very solid, with waterproof case and plenty of room – I was surprised how big the interior is for long keys. Previous experience with fiddly, temperamental units has really made me appreciate this key safe.
This key safe has been outside for 6 months now and the wheels aren’t sticky and the door still pops open with ease. Much better than the cheaper one it has now replaced.
All fine – works well, easy enough to fit. Why do they put stickers on these things that don’t peel off cleanly though?
The 5415D comes with an annoying sticky label on the front plate which is one of those that needs warm water to get it off (why do they do this?!).
The preset number can easily be changed to a personal one. If you have delicate finger nails then use a tool to press the relevant pin.
Trouble is, if you think that this will prevent your children from losing keys and/or getting locked out, then think again. If the keys aren’t put back in the safe ….!
Easy to fit, easy to use, can hold a few keys and very robust. Particularly liked the flip over cover that hides the combination bar. Did exactly what it says on the box
Bought to have in house to keep car keys. I took off the front rain protector easily as keeping in house.
Just about fits 2 audi keys, 1 having to be at a slight angle.
Sturdy product, feels quality, and for a very good price.
Put on the from of rental holiday house, very handy for late arrival times etc.
Would prefer a button type I think as anyone removing keys needs to remember to spin the wheels to hide the code of course
This was just what I was looking for, it is a good space internally as my keys are largerand longer than some keys, and they fitted in with room to spare.
Very robust. Seems to fit the bill just fine. One reccomendation I would make is that you may wish to you use your own fixings as the ones supplied did not (in my eyes anyway)seem big enough.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great for outside in any weather and no problems 6 months later.
A sturdy key box that looks like it could stand some heavy duty tampering.The dial numbers are clear to see and the combination easy to change. My only criticism is the screws provided are not strong enough in my opinion to withstand attempts to lever the box off the wall and I have replaced with longer and heavier guage screws. The catch on the plastic raincover appears insufficiently prominent to last over repeated openings and from new does not securely latch onto the keeper.
Good sturdy product. Excellent instructions and very easy to fix to wall. A key hook inside would have been useful.
This is a very robust safe. Even if it someone did manage to rip it off the wall, I can’t imagine how entry could be gained without dynamite. I like the outer cover that shields the tumblers from the weather, and the tumblers are set at an angle facing the user so they are easier to see than other key-safes I have seen. The only criticism I have is that there is no hook inside on which to hang the keys – but this is easily sorted by bending a piece of wire around one of the fixing screws.
It’s now a few years since my purchase and I can safely say this robust product has withstood the various weather elements and still remains intact and reliable….excellent value for money
A very sturdy, solid safe. I previously had a black masterlock at my previous address and found it extremely useful following from drunken nights out or letting the neighbours look after the house whilst away. This newer model is equally as easy to use and feels even more secure. There is easily enough room for 4 keys and the case is fully waterproof and appears bomb proof. The casing is also plain and looks more like an outdoor plug socket than a key safe, ideal to limit the likelihood of intruders trying to open (although without the combination I cannot see that happening).
One of the best investments I have made – I always know there is a spare key, particularly useful when the partygoers living in the house come in in the wee small hours!
Easy to use and fit.however, to get the fitting instructions you need to open the box first! dead simple to use and no complicated dials or keypadsdefinitely worth the money.
strong high quality key container. Expensive and heavy. If you want security this may be the answer. Even if it was jemmied off the wall getting into it would be very difficult and, probably, harder than other means to gain entry. Note: You may have seen You-Tubes of locksmiths breaking into combination secured things, I know nothing of this and hope that neither does my potential thieves.
A neighbour related a horrendous tale of woe after being locked out, so we bought this to avoid the same fate befalling us. Well made and easy to fit, it is ideal for purpose.
Very strong product and easy to fit. If I loose my key when I am out at least I can get back into the property without having to break a window as I have done in the past.
Really easy to fit and use. This is rock solid and the combination dials are nice & large & easy to turn when it’s wet or cold. The plastic front cover protects the lock from the rain.
The only negative is that there are no key hooks so the key just sits in the bottom. Not a huge problem but it would have been nice to have.
Excellent as I am disabled it means easy access for visitors they just call me on my mobile and I give them the code easy to fix and you can change the code if necessary.

Great needed a safe place for keys to house for my Grandson to get in from school don’t like the idea of what some do leaving them under the plant pot , and Grandson prone to forgetting the keys and leaving them at school etc. He thinks it is great as well can always get it , Found it easy to set up and very strong , The 4 holes for mounting fit just right on the bricks unlike some.
This is a top pad lock for securing your key anywhere. Had loads of room for several keys which is great. Big numbers on the combo so I don’t need glasses to read. Looks waterproof

Wow, is this the heaviest and most solid key pad safe I’ve ever seen. Can’t tell on Internet so often a gamble when you buy but if you are looking for the real thing then this is the one.
I bought this product& it seems to be exactly what I want. Its strong& easy to fit BUT a bit more info. As to how you get into it package wise &the instructions were inside Madge
The product is exactly what we wanted to give us peace of mind about our elderly relative. The mechanism is quite stiff but I expect the emergency service are used to using these things.
It arrived today and I was shocked by the weight of the thing, it is a serious piece of kit and I don’t imagine anyone is getting in to it in a hurry. Plenty of space inside for a bunch of large keys (tried with a Landover key with integrated remote which is pretty big) some cash and cards. Not quite large enough for an iPhone or wallet but I guess that is what the glove compartment is for.
Also pleasantly surprised to find it has a lifetime warranty, (30 years) and feels like it will happily last longer with regular use/abuse. I will update in a few months but I can’t imagine I’ll have much to say.
Looks one of the most sturdy available on the market, and I am confident because it comes from a known brand. I could not find similar products in the 30 range.
Installation on wood or concrete by 4 screws is easy for someone not so good at manual work like me.
Operation is quick and easy also with low light and low accessibility.
I use it for keys of doors with comparable sturdiness: it would be more convenient for the potential intruder to attack the door directly, than the safe.
I use to hide it for additional safety (attached to a fence behind some vegetation).
I purchased two. I have found a similar problem as in other reviews, with the dials that turn not so smoothly near the set combination. Actually one of the two had exactly this problem, when delivered, but it has been promptly replaced, so no problem for me, I am sorry for the company if they need to replace 50% of them.
One of the two is at open air, rains or shines, and after about a year is still perfectly in shape.

A robust and secure unit that is easy to install and use. Having the combination located at an angle on the upper surface makes the unit user friendly, as do the clear and easy to read numbers on the combination lock. – highly recommended.
Easy to use and put up. Has been an invaluable purchase for a family member who has a tendency to misplace keys and I know if a family member or emergency service needs access they can get in.
Bought to go outside to house 2 chubb lock keys. Size is fine and easy to open unlike some of the other style units which hurt my fingernails. Read other reviews before I bought so I knew about keeping the original code before disposing of wrapping
Strong, well made, look at the back of the packaging before trying to remove the lock from the packaging. a template makes it easy to fix to the wall, the four fixings are more than adequate for domestic use. Delivered promptly.Fully recommended .
Very impressed with this little key safe. It is very solid and roomy enough for several keys. I stuck a little hook inside and hung the keys on this which is handy. Also handy having the number combination on top. Would definitely buy again.
Well, what can I say other than it does its job very well… The attched cover makes a secure “click” over the body to help protect it from the elements but it is a very strong and sturdy product in the first place – no issues about leaving keys in it…
The only downside (hence marked down 1 star) is it is possible to close it and not scramble the combination so anyone pressing the “open” buttons will find it pops open – ok, this hasn’t happend (as everyone that has used it does remember to scramble the combination before closing the cover) *but* it would be nice if there was someway that made the door fail to close/automatically re-open if the combination hasn’t been scrambled…
As others have said, takes large keys with ease. Template for hole alignment is useful, combination figures clear and easy to use. Ideal for situation planned – emergency access to sole occupancy flat of elderly relative.
You’d need a tank to break into it.
I used expansion bolts to anchor it to the brick of the wall. The screws that come with it are pathetic.
Take care to ensure you have the original combination code and not to forget it!
On the downside, the supplier of our Masterlock posted it in such a way we were lucky to get a Masterlock at all – absolutely dreadful supplier.
Else, this Masterlock 5415D is recommended for secure external key access.
Basically, it’s tough enough for nobody to bother with – it’d be less trouble kicking down most front doors. Another useful factor is the ease of installation – a metal plate acts as a “guide” to mark out the drill holes (all you need is a masonry drill and probably some plastic screw sockets to seat them properly). The metal plate then goes inside the safe, adding to its strength.
Finally, it’s a good size inside. Big enough for long keys, keyrings, and chunky electronic car ones, even unfolded. So no problem storing spare sets of everything in there. Overall, an excellent little product at a killer price (I paid 23.99.)

It feels strong so have no problem leaving spare key in it…
very good product, well made and very strong. shame the same can’t be said for the screws supplied. two out of the four screws supplied snapped in half whilst fitting. Use your own screws and it is excellent.
UPDATE. 17 months on and the cover that protects the combination rollers will no longer stay in place which is a pain, otherwise its still working fine. simon.
It was easy to fix and works well. Children have found it relatively easy to use (even after the party the night before!) As it is so “bland” it is not obvious and that helps the make the security that bit better. Easily takes a large mortice lock key and fob. Could “hide” other things in there (emergency money??) as there is a reasonable amount of space. Stood up well to the recent storms, wind and rain with no sign of water getting in.
Excellent and well made key safe, the 4 tumbles have a nice positive feel and code is easily set. I suggest using hex headed screws for a strong fixing and ease of removal in years to come.
Bought this for a holiday cottage in Wales. I had read all the reviews and this safe seemed to be the best for the money. Haven’t fitted it yet but it is extremely sturdy and I would imagine almost impossible to break into. Well made and easy instructions to follow. As long as we can fit it to the wall I would recommend this product.
This product looks and feels good. A worthy addition to the security conscious householder. Ours is on show and convenient to get at but even if tucked a way, it’ll be very useful to have if ever you forget your key or require a trusted one to have access to your home.
Bought this for my mothers house and found it to be very robust and reliable. Just needed to spray the dials with silicone to ensure a nice smooth action.
This is a hefty lock, so if it is prised off the wall, it would still take some effort to open.
Two things to be aware of: it clicks closed but does not automatically lock – like any combination lock you need to scramble it, but the two click release buttons mean that it might be easy to forget to re-lock it (or that friend you asked to pop in, might not realise).
Secondly, the four screws it came with were of poor quality, so as I screwed them into the rawlplug (of appropriate spec) the tops snapped off. Use your own screws.
Purchased for elderly relative for added safety if there was a problem, far better design with the protective cover which hides the combination tumblers and makes it look less obvious.
I used longer screws than supplied which is a personal preference so short of a sustained attack with a rocket launcher wont budge from the wall !!!
Arrived ahead of due date, postage was a little expensive, but when you feel the weight you will understand.
his was an requirement due to carers requireing entry without me getting to the front door to let them in After getting a price from the local life line people of 67 to supply and fit a key a key safe I looked on Amazon and at less then 19 no contest, if you get someone to fit it for you.. My brother-in-law fitted it in about 10mins.
This key safe does the job. We have fixed it to the wall and it’s very secure. It’s easy to change the code.
No key hanger so keys do just sit in there loose.
ook a bit of working out how to get it out of the packet – you have to nibble away at the blister pack until the cross strapped plastic is exposed. Cut those and a label will be revealed with the combination for the safe. Open it and there are the instructions and the fixing screws.
it is straightforward to change the combination and it doesn’t look like it will happen accidentally which is a problem with other keysafes.
that done, it was easy to fit and seems secure. To open it, you need to flip down the outer cover, set the combination and then push both buttons on the sides simultaneously. This is a little difficult for my elderly mother-in-law who has slightly arthritic hands, so bear that in mind.
and of course remember to scramble the combination after closing the safe.
As a property manager, I have used the older smaller model before. But this is better as it can take an alarm fob and larger keys. Plus the numbers are bigger so you don’t have to wear your glasses! Very strong, easy to fit and use. Just about to order another!!
Very solid as it should be. The only thing I found bad as with now many items similar to this are the very nasty cheap screws. If you purchase this be sure to use better quality made screws as they all snapped off when trying to fix it in place.
This is a usefil item either for the elderly or to ensure that you have a secure place outside your house for a never locked out set of keys
Fixings supplied needed to be updated by fitter but once this was done really good and a slim unobtrusive shape
Needed a key safe for carers coming and going at mum’s house, and needed one quick, easy to fit and easy to use. This is sturdy, well made and very easy to use. The numbers are easy to dial and read. My brother fixed it to the external, brick wall in no time.
Got this outside my mothers flat she is in sheltered accommodation so if she falls or is unable to open the door the warden or family member etc can get in if they know the code, works well can recommed
I purchased one of this item for myself, and one for a friend. we are both very pleased with the quality and the cost. the delivery was also exelent. All together we are more than satisfied with the product, and woulr recommend it.
I found this very easy to install with the integral steel drilling guide, which is then used as an internal back plate to give extra strength. The only reason for the four star rating, rather than five,was that mine came with only three screws rather than the four needed to fix it to the wall, though this was easily solved by using a fourth screw I already had.
The way the code is changed is also very easily carried out and allows the code to be changed at any time that the safe is open.
As my title shows, the construction feels very solid.
Fitted this outside lest friends or family need entry without having previously picked up keys. Fitted one year now and no sign of deterioration, looks good and seems secure. Highly recommended.
No mention in the instructions about how to change the pre-set combination numbers which are not “0000” but I guess would be easy given the “Set” lever inside the door.
If I needed another key-safe I’g get another one of these.

The mechanism also seems very sturdy. While anything can be broken into given enough time and resources but at least I think to break into this will slow people down quite a bit.

Heavy duty, well made item. Easy to set up but difficult to unpack! I am certain that this will give years of service. A small hook or magnet to hang the keys on would be useful.
Ordered on the Monday and received next day. Fitting took 15 minutes and everything working fine. The only adverse comment is that I could not find the size of the drill bit on the information sheet so went with a 12mm.
This is the second Masterlock 5415D key safe we have bought – having tried one on our holiday flat we bought another for our home. It looks and feels solid and the cover helps to disguise what it is. Most important for us are the clear white on black figures on the dial, which are much easier to read in the dark. It has the capacity to hold several keys, so it’s easy to close. Changing the code is also pretty simple.
I was very pleased when I received this item to find that it was of really solid construction, simple to use and big enough for the purpose of keeping a spare set of keys safe. Great product at a great price.
This was a replacement for an older master lock key safe which was perfect until someone tried to hammer it into a recess in a tree and spray painted it.

This item does exactly what it is designed for. Promptly delivered, easy install and set up. It’s tough and would take a sledge hammer (and a lot of time) to break in to. Lock dials are substantial and do not suffer from the ‘give away’ feel that other dial locks often do when the correct number is selected. Big enough to hold a couple of keys, this is ideal for safely storing the emergency key! Good value.
I like many others was concerned if I ever locked myself out, I have keys with the friends near-bye, but they may not be in or it may be very late in the evening. I also had a key hidden in a plant pot!

I read up all the other boxes details and remarks on Amazon and choose this one. It was very easy to install on the wall thanks to the metal template. It is very robust and easy to operate.

I didn’t know this product existed until I spoke to friend about giving family members keys to my home.
She told me that she had a Key safe which fitted outside the property so that people who were eligible to enter
could be given the combination to obtain the key from the safe and enter.
I bought one and it is a much better option than giving out keys. The key is available when needed to whoever the owner
wants to give entry to. Will be excellent in an emergency and many other occassions.

Very well made item. Would have prefered a metal template though as a screw guide, instead of paper which was difficult to adhere to the wall when drilling out the fixing holes.
Very easy to set the access code, particularly if you watch the video. Did contact the company prior to purchase with a query and received a prompt response. Might be considered expensive compared to other options but it does have the approvals.
We have a house which we let for holidays, and occasionally we are unable to be there to greet guests.
This key-safe is strong, unobtrusive and easy to use. I particularly like the fact that there is a flap covering the combination numbers, keeping the weather out, and making it less obviously a safe.
It was also easy to install, with the inclusion of a good template for the position of screws. The only difficulty was opening the packaging!
I have mounted mine near to a proximity security light so that the combination keys are easy to see.
Good value for money
The unit is very strong – I would expect it to take a prolonged attack with a sledge hammer to do much damage to it. It is easy to fix to a wall (4 screws provided), and it looks very neat when the front cover is closed.
It’s not immediately obvious, but when you get it you have to cut through 2 plastic straps that hold it inside it’s plastic packaging. The straps are at the back underneath the paper label. Cutting them enables you to remove the unit from its plastic packaging, and reveal the 4 digit code that will enable you to open it. When you open it, the instruction leaflet is inside.
It is very easy to reset the combination to your chosen numbers when the unit is open.
