Initially had a problem with one of the knives having a crack through the blade – an unfortunate casting or tempering issue. This meant that the blade rusted in numerous spots. But the whole set was replaced. I like the feel of the grip and versatility of the blade designs in this set. The blade retains its sharpness reasonable well for domestic use, though I do like to “top-up” their sharpened state every so often. The instructions say to hand wash and immediately dry them for the first year, which is a little frustrating for those with dishwashers. But a little care should ensure a lifetime of usage.
