This is an effective dehumidifier, reducing humidity in my home from over 70 to around 55 in the first few days of use, being emptied daily. I would recommend using a separate humidistat/hygrometer to double check humidity level as I believe the reading on the dehumidifier is inaccurate. I have other devices (clock, thermometer) with humidistats which consistently show around 10% lower than the dehumidifier’s reading. In terms of noise, it seems quiet during the day and not really noticeable with other everyday noise going on, but I can’t sleep with the noise even on low fan mode. Despite this, I would definitely recommend this for reducing damp problems – my rooms felt drier, warmer and much more comfortable from the first day of use. It is also not particularly heavy but wheels would have significantly improved its manoeuvrability.

Works exactly as you’d expect. Pulls loads of water out of the air and lowers the humidity.

Bought the product as my toilet was really humid and was starting to have black mould. Initially I was a bit hesistant to purchase the Meaco due the price.

However, after buying a much cheaper brand only to find that it didn’t match up to my expectations, I took the plunge to purchase the Meaco Dehumidifier to compare results.

Needless to say that I returned the cheaper version and kept the Meaco. There are no new black mould growths in the bathroom. I set the dehumifier on timer if anyone else has a shower in the evening. It also has other features such as a drying mode if needed.

The noise level on the low setting is quite quiet but it is understandable that the noise increases as the level increases too.

I definitely would recommend this dehumidifier to anyone that needs one!

So far so good, seems to be working a treat and elevating a damp issue we had after getting some built in wardrobes against a exterior wall (lesson learned!). Ok for a room or apartment but probably not for a larger house.

Since purchasing this we have been condensation free. Terrific for wash days too, helping the washing to dry quicker using the laundry mode. Very quiet and easy to use. It still amazes me how much water it collects just from the air.

This dehumidifier works very well. We had humidity and mould issues in our master bedroom that were affecting the walls and windows, and this has helped clear them in a matter of days. It also dries clothes very quickly which is a plus, and it’s quiet.

I bought mine over a year ago and it’s done a fab job at reducing humidity and keeping mould & mildew at bay in my 3bed 1914 home. I keep it at a humidity level of 55 and this is usually enough to keep windows clear of condensation on cold nights. The noise level is fine (It’s a low hum in sleep mode which you get used to). We have ours on the landing fairly close to bedroom doors but it doesn’t bother anyone in the family.
Unfortunately, almost a year to the day, my unit no longer collected water. However, having contacting Meaco, they emailed a postage label to send it back (Free of charge) and offered a discounted service while it was being repaired. Meaco confirmed they had received the unit but that it wasn’t repairable. They refunded the 20 servicing I had paid for and sent a replacement unit which arrived quickly. Top marks to them for customer service!!!

Super easy to use and a good looking device considering what it is. Took at least a litre of water out of our bedroom within the first 6 hours – we were shocked there was so much. Using for a few hours everyday has certainly helped our grey mould problem in our old cold bedroom. Very happy with our purchase.

It started by taking about 2.6 L out of the air in my house every 6 hours. Now, after 5 months, it takes the same amount every 5-7 days so it’s doing it’s job well. I would say the RH of my home has come down by 10-15% to a comfortable 45-60%. As I have a good quality hand held hygrometer(Peaktech) which I have tested with the salt test a couple of times, it seems that the built in hygrometer on the Meaco reads 6-10% high. I also bought a cheap hygrometer as well, & that reads several % lower than the Peaktech, so hygrometers cannot be relied upon unless you test them with the salt test (see internet). I also plug this dehumidifier into a mains segment timer which switches it on and off every 3 hours or so, to give it a rest for 30-45 mins. It’s mainly off in the day & mainly on in the night. Despite what the instructions say, I dont think it should be left on 24/7 in case it burns out.

We live in an upside down house so all our bedrooms are downstairs behind a retaining wall, there is also an ensuite in our bedroom and so the moisture has always been high and cause problems with mould for years. After redecorating and a new carpet we bought this and put it in the bedroom and run it each evening from when we get home until bedtime, so 4-5 hours, it fills the water tank every 2-3 days getting the humidity down to about 60% each night even after we’ve both showered in the ensuite.
We’ve also used it in the utility to speed up drying of clothes when it’s raining and I attached a bit of garden hose to the output pipe leading in to the sink, worked great.
    Best investment we’ve made.

I have had this product for about a week now so can offer my first thoughts!

I bought thid product as I live in a flat, where all activities like showering, cooking, hanging clothes etc all happen in the same space. With winter meaning I don’t want windows open all the time, I thought a dehumiidifer would be a good investment, whilst also helping keep the flat free of mould, condensation etc.

The amount of water this thing collects is unbelieable. For the first few days, it was almost collecting a full tank per day. I have set to 55% humitity which as others have said, seems to be the sweet spot. I have noticed the flat seems warmer, towels drier, and clothes don’t take as lon to dry. I am sure the combination of this, plus reducing the need to open windows on cold days will help with heating bills too. I went for the 12L model.

Overall a great investment for flat-dwellers and those that have a smaller space. The noise is noticable, but not overbearing. Just a soft fan like you would expect from a air-con unit.

Not sure if it will be useful in summer, but for winter it is great.

I would have given this product a five star but for four things:
    1. The built in humidistat appears inaccurate and gives a very different reading to other humidistats I have tested it against, for example the Meaco reads 59% but three other humitistats tested close by in the same room read 49% to 50%.
    2. The 12L model has no wheels and these have to be ordered and cost extra.
    3. The 12L model has no drain pipe.
    4. Not as quiet as suggested, my old 15 year old Amcor dehumidifier is about the same.
Regarding energy saving, the 160w rating does mean that you can dehumidify a room at a lower energy cost compared say to a 220w, but it appears that the moisture extraction rate is reduced accordingly, based on measurement of water extracted when swapping the Meaco with our Amcor dehumidifier in the same room.

I bought this dehumidifyer to replace a Meaco which died after a few years of constant use. The cost to run on low, (the normal position unless you are drying laundry) is about 3p per hour. Compared to the old one which was very much higher. It is very effective in drying the room which is normally very damp. I highly reccomend it.

This thing gets even more moisture out of the air than Meaco states it will. Really uses low energy (I have measured this) and is very, very efficient. We’ve had 70% in our two bedroom house. We keep it downstairs, and we’ve got now below 50% there and below 60% upstairs which is amazing job. It runs for about 10hrs a day.

Had this a few years now. Great product, still going strong. Really good at abstracting the moisture out of the air. We bought another a year later, it stopped working for some reason, so contacted the company. Their customer service was first class. Quick swift emails and they had the product back and repaired within a week. It’s like brand new again and still going strong. Fantastic service. Would definitely buy again from Meaco.

Bought the dehumidifier for my Son,s flat. He had some black mould starting to appear. I couldn’t believe how much water the dehumidifier could produce. About 2:5 litres a day at the start. It’s less now so seems to be working. The flat feels more comfortable less damp. We are pleased with the purchase. Would recommend it.

I have had so many dehumidifiers, although they said they’re quiet, they weren’t at all! This one by Meaco dehumidifies the room from about 80% to 65% in 4-5 hours, and it’s quiet. The only downside is that the 10l version doesn’t come with wheels. But if you’re after a quiet dehumidifier, I highly recommend this one.

I was surprised just how small it is! I bought the 12l one as a replacement for a useless EcoAir 7l dessicant one.

Slightly disappointed the tank is small. Same size as my last.

Noise is acceptable, especially on low fan but it dehumidifys better on high fan. Can still watch TV but with volume up a bit. It sounds like a much quieter portable air con or a fridge whirring. With fan noise on top.

In the first 6hrs it removed half a tanks worth. My old one filled a tank once in a week and on full power 4hrs a day!

It’s slightly wobbly on my low pile carpet, shame it didn’t come already fitted with wheels as its quite heavy for me but I’m just using it in one room and opening all other doors.
I have a 750sqft 2 bed bungalow which suffers condensation and high humidity of 70% in winter. My old EcoAir one only got it down 5% in 8hrs.
This reduced it by 10% in 2hrs. The air started feeling fresher as well unlike the last one.
The huidity display is fairly accurate 1-2% out at times according to my testo hygrometer but still acceptable.

This is a really quiet (especially compared to our last one) dehumidifier, it’s also very efficient. The tank is easy to empty and slides back easily. The only drawback for us is it’s not easy to lift with the handle but I consider this a minor point as it works so well at what it is supposed to do.

I recently moved into a new home which has AWFUL condensation and felt damp all the time. I bought many disposable dehumidifiers, but none of them could handle the problem. I bit the bullet and invested in this, and I’m so happy I did.
I live in a small 2 bed flat, with no outdoor space, so when I do my laundry I have to keep it inside to dry. With it being winter, leaving the windows open is not an option. Before I bought this, my laundry would take 3 days to dry. When I turn on the laundry setting and leave it on all night, my laundry is dry the next day. The windows have no condensation, and my home doesn’t feel damp anymore.

I’ve recommended this to family who have similar issues with condensation. It’s really easy to use, and quick to empty. I’ve attached a video of the water it collected after about 6-9 hours on its medium setting when we first bought it. (hopefully the video uploads. If not, then it was full and I’m honestly shocked on how much moisture was in the air).

Highly recommend! It definitely works well in a small 2 bed flat. But, remember to keep doors to rooms open slightly to allow the moisture to be removed by the dehumidifier. If any doors are closed, it’s unable to remove the moisture fully from that room.

Noise is fair quiet. I tried the clothes drying setting but it didn’t really fo anything and just turned off after a while…

I just leave it on normal in a little room that is very prone to damp issues and it seems to do a good job at keeping the room dry and drying anything that’s in there with it.

We struggled with condensation and some mold on the ceiling in a couple of our upstairs rooms, we tried those little plastic water trap thingies to no avail.
Finally but the bullet and wow!
Not only has it sorted the condensation, there’s no black patches appearing on the ceiling but the biggest thing is the air quality in the house. Within an hour of it first going on it was niticeably easier to breathe! I’m asthmatic as are two of my daughters and it has been literally life changing for us.

It made a huge difference in my house and I feel so much better with less damp. I tried probreeze in the past but I had to return it as it was too noisy and you could hear the water going in the tank which was not great during my online meetings. Thanks Maeco, you really made a good product.

We are lucky to have an indoor swim spa. It generates a lot of humidity in its highly insulated triple glazed room. We have a Meaco wall mounted pool room dehumidifier which does most of the work but in the winter, condensation gathered on our window frames. Solution: Put this near the windows and problem solved. It captures 12L per day and saves the bigger humidifier working so hard saving on running costs. I’d buy it again.

The quality of this dehumidifier appears to be good, well made and efficient. However, much is made of how quiet the dehumidifier is. But on the first night I found it makes a whistle, whining noise that gets right into my head when trying to sleep at night. I contacted Meaco and their reply is:

‘The high pitched/whistle sound you are hearing is common on R290 compressors.
‘The noise is most likely to be heard at lower temperatures and/or whilst the compressor is warming up (similar to a car on a cold winters morning). It will be easily heard if the unit is being run on the low fan speed, however it is difficult to hear whilst running on the higher fan speed. This is because the sound of the fan will cover it up.’

I have had the dehumidifier running for a week now and it seems to have settled down or I am getting use to the sound. If the sound does not bother you I would recommend this dehumidifier.
As a side note. The dehumidifier is made in China. I wish Amazon would add ‘place’ of manufacture in the product description.

Very happy with the dehumidifier. I originally wanted to buy the Lakeland electric clothes dryer but decided to go for the dehumidifier instead. It dries my clothes within a day a I don’t have a damp smell in my house. I can set up the humidity on 55-60 and leave the machine on until the tub is full with water. I mostly dry the clothes indoor as the weather is bad just now. I had some mould in the room I was drying the clothes in but got it now under control. It’s a great buy it not only dries your clothes it also decreases the humidity and mould in your home. Definitely a winner for me!

I did a lot of research before purchasing this dehumidifier which paid off. I am so pleased with it.
I have seen a remarkable difference in just the first week of use.
The rooms no longer have condensation on the windows when washing is drying, and the washng dries very quickly. The volume of water collected when on a laundry drying mode is unbelievable.

i bought this as the house is old and in winter in particular there’s a real issue with condensation, and it has a drying option for clothes. a few weeks in, and having used it during the recent freezing period, I have not had any any condensation on windows. there’s also a noticeable improvement in the rooms, they feel much less humid and more comfortable, and less cold also.

i have moved it around various rooms to gauge how humid they are, it’s not the easiest thing to move – the handle at the back is fine, but it’s fairly heavy.

i’ve been leaving it running overnight with the doors open, and it collects a good amount of water which is easy to empty out (we’re using this for plant watering and topping up the toilet cisterns). so far very happy with it.

This is by far the best dehumidifier I’ve purchased. I’ve used a few ones before (which broke after a year) but I had a friend who already uses Meaco. I bought it for myself and the air in our bedroom is drastically better. Such a great investment especially for asthmatic individuals like me. You can totally feel the change. The noise is pretty monotonous so you can sleep through it. I would say that the buttons for the settings doesn’t seem too durable. Not seeing this as a huge issue as we’re only using one setting. I ordered the 12L and it’s a little too bulky and heavy. I suggest you buy one of their products with wheels, or possibly rig this thing with a dolly. This dehumidifier is really great that I can see past minor design flaws.

Does what it says on the tin. Easy to move about. Easy to follow instructions on the panel. Does turn itself off on occasions even though the container is not full. Maybe user error. I am a bit deaf so the noise is not an issue. My last dehumidifier ( taken by my son to his new house) made a loud beeb when the container is full. I use this for drying my laundry at night. This does not give any indication when it is needs emptying, it just stops and the light goes off. It does beeb when you take the container out to empty it. Would have been better if it beebed when it needs emptying. It could be just be me being deaf. So, would be great for non-deaf people.

This does not give any indication when it is needs emptying, it just stops and the light goes off. It does beeb when you take the container out to empty it. Would have been better if it beebed when it needs emptying. It could be just be me being deaf. So, would be great for non-deaf people.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to use. Sucks moist air in through the filter at the back and blows dry air out the vent on top. Water tank slides out for emptying and must be clicked back in place properly or the machine won’t function. The filter pops off for easy cleaning, just get a hoover nozzle on it.

There are two fan settings, an adjustable humidistat, power button, full tank indicator and continuous laundry mode. Continuous laundry mode dried my bed linen in a few hours.

The only negative? The machine is quite heavy. I came close to dropping it when I repositioned it because it is heavy and there are no castors or handles on the 10 and 12 litre models.

Does what it says it does.

Very very helpful regarding humidity and keeping the temperature up. If it was just a bit more silent it would had been perfect.

I have been using this dehumidifier for a over a year now and happy with it. I bought it specifically to dry my laundry indoors, during the winter. In the summer I prefer to dry it in the open air on the balcony of my flat.
The reason why I give it 4 stars is that in spite of being described as silent, it certainly isn’t silent. It emits a low humming sound which unfortunately in my badly soundproof flat can still be somewhat heard by my neighbour, something I was hoping to avoid. I also wish it was made easier to manoeuvre, with a strong handle and wheels preferably.
However, other than that its done a great job. I dry my washing on the Drysoon 3-tier heated dryer (costing 6p an hour on electricity), I place a sheet or a thin blanket over it to trap the heat inside and put the dehumidifier on a stool right next to the dryer. With these combined powers I have a dry laundry after several hours for very little cost.

Great for drying my laundry in the winte

Would not buy again based on that one issue.

Bought this to reduce the amount of moisture inside the house due to the damp weather, damp clothes and other day to day causes. Unpacked the machine and let it do its business. After a couple of days, the 12l container was full and as advertised, the machine stopped automatically until emptied. We kept the machine running for a couple of days and things dried out nicely. Intend now only to use it when needed. A very efficient dehumidifier, runs pretty quietly and seems inexpensive to run.

It does not come castors you have to buy them separately the noise level is better than our first one as that has had to go in the conservatory

Unit is larger than I expected, but based on about a weeks use, it extracts a lot of moisture from the air, is relatively quiet while doing it, and that’s about it. Last dehumidifier I had lasted for about a year then packed in, hopefully this one will go for a bit longer. It does seem to be enough when positioned centrally in my 2 bedroom flat to remove condensation from windows after an hour or so.

Had this machine for 3 weeks now. Seems to do a great job, the mould that kept re-appearing in a damp corner of the room has stopped, and the whole room feels more comfortable to be in.
Its not quite as quiet as I’d hoped – too noisy for the bedroom but OK anywhere else. Also quite heavy to move around, but all in, a good machine. Recommended.

Heavier than I expected, even just to bring it indoors from the courier delivery. Also has only one indent at the rear, to grip when trying to move it. Can only just manage when in the same area- but would be almost impossible (as I’m an elderly woman) when trying to install in a different room in the house.

I have previously had a Meaco dehumidifier which is now about nine years old, and didn’t think it was as effective. However, I received the new one last week and had to empty the cartridge twice a day. I like that you can see the amount of humidity and save money as I now don’t need the central heating. I am delighted with my purchase, and although the older unit isn’t working 100% effectively, I am happy with the number of years it has worked, hence why I purchase the same make.

Well, it works and I’m surprised at how much water it collects, however it is very heavy and I think should have been provided with casters. Also there is only one handle at the back rather than a handle at each side. In my opinion a design fault.

I do have disabilities so normal folk wouldn’t struggle with moving it. It is very efficient and removes about 3 to 4 full containers a day. It has really helped with the damp problems in my house so I would highly recommend it, if you don’t mind a background noise.

I was looking for an alternative to a tumble dryer or damp clothes mouldering on the clothes horse and came across this wee gizmo. It is currently located in the box room, which I use as a home office but which has a long history of encroaching black mould on the outside walls in winter. I have tried everything to manage the situation, barring tearing a hole in the wall and filling it with foam, but it always creeps back in. Anyway this gizmo, set on low fan/50% humidity/24-7, has been sucking about 6 litres of water a day out of the atmosphere for the last 3-4 days. The environment feels warmer, dryer and just nicer. Too early to say re winter mould yet and the laundry is currently drying nicely on the line, but I am greatly encouraged so far. I have sent away for casters, but really the 10l machine is not too heavy. I think it is a good investment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s been only 1 week so I can’t tell how durable this dehumidifier is or how easy it is to clean from dust, but I can tell it’s pretty efficient and not too noisy. I’m living in a tiny house which is actually just one large room (converted garage) about 6.5 x 5 metres, plus kitchen area, only bathroom is separated, so I get all the damp from cooking and whatever else I’m doing in the house. I was wondering why I’m always coughing and sometimes have sore throat. After discovering green mould on my wooden furniture and getting rid of it, I immediately bought two digital hygrometers and this Meaco dehumidifier. Turned out my humidity level was almost 70%, particularly in one corner of the house with poorest air circulation. With this Meaco I was able to get it down to 50% in the first three days, but if I leave it off, the humidity will raise to 60-66% depending on where I place the hygrometer and measure it. It seems like the worst it is at the ground level. That’s probably why the floor next to me bed has warped a bit.
I’m a person with extremely light sleep who uses silicone ear plugs every single night because any sound wakes me up. I was able to sleep in the room with this dehumidifier running on low fan speed. I could still heard it but it’s a steady humming sound so you will adapt to it. Most people are not as sensitive to sound as I am, but if you are, you can try some ear plugs as well. I find pigeons on my roof in the morning much much more annoying than this dehumidifier fan. They always wake me up early.
The dehumidifier collected full tank of water in the first 10 hours or so. Second day just a little bit less. Right now I’m leaving it off as we have very hot weather so all my windows are open and dehumidifier warms up the air slightly. Even with my windows open, the humidity level is still around 60%, not sure why, but at least I see that I definitely need the dehumidifier.
I just wish it had 2 handles not just one in the back. It’s not super heavy, but still, you lift it with one hand and then you need to support the bottom with your other hand if you want to keep it in vertical position (which you always should).

We were amazed by how much water it extracted. The room now feels fresher and is in the recommended humidity range. The musty smell has gone. An enquiry to the customer services at the company was answered efficiently and courteously. Having never used a dehumidifier before, we didn’t know quite what to expect, but have been very impressed with the results. Wish we’d had bought one years ago!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought it couple months ago,
Its really good, i used to clean the dump in my room weekly and since I bought I cleaned the walls one or time only.
I like because it show the humidity, humidity in my room usually 70, by using this its will reduce to fourtish.
Its will turn off automatically when the tank is full, so i am not worrying about that.
The only issue I had was with the deleviry, its came later than what it suppose to be, I ordered the silver one but it was out of stock so they sent me the white which is okay because they call me to inform me that.
Its might be pricey but definetly worth it.

small compact easy to use looks good and works well so very good and recommended – smart meter showed 2.5 pence an hour in use

It’s not the easiest thing to move around – have tried to buy optional wheels from Meaco website on line and ticked box to be advised when in stock but no notification as yet and we’ve probably had it around 3 months now, when you pick it up using the handle the weight distribution of the unit means it falls to one side making it awkward for my wife to take up n down stairs for example, so of course I jump up and do it …ha ha any way nit picking really generally very pleased ..

After trying many different products that promised to reduce damp, that never really worked, I decided to bite the bullet and invest in a dehumidifier. After all, if it worked, it had to be cheaper than buying litres of mould killer, and paint to redecorate.

I did a bit of research, and the reviews for the Meaco seemed positive. So I took the plunge and ordered one.

    And I’m glad I did!

I hang washing up in the spare bedroom which sends the humidity sky high resulting in black mould. But since buying the Meaco the humidity is under control, and no mould! After hanging the washing on the clothes horse I set the unit running on the lowest setting. My clothes dry within a few hours and no more damp smell.

The unit is reasonably quiet. I leave it running during the day and off at night. However, if I had to run it at night I imagine it is quiet enough for me to sleep, but I appreciate everyone is different when it comes to sleep and noise.

The child-lock function is very handy as my 2 year old loves pressing buttons. I also like you can set a humidity target value which the unit regulates.

Is it more cost-effective than a tumble drier? I think so, but I’ve not had it long enough to compare electricity bills.

Would I recommend this product? Yes I would! I wish I had bought a dehumidifier years ago, and I am pleased with the Meaco product.

We’ve had this 3 months now. We were told the damp problem was due to condensation and to try one of these with more ventilation on the outside cold wall. It has greatly improved the damp in our extension but not totally eliminated it although in the depths of winter, we haven’t opened a window as often as we probably should. The noise is not too loud but annoying enough that we only put it on overnight plus it seems to pump out cold air and makes the room chilly. The electricity bill hasn’t increased much so it seems economical to run. The water tank has never been full after it has been running all night.

This dehumidifier is compact and unobtrusive. It removes a considerable amount of water and has a washing feature to help dry clothes indoors which is effective. Water can be emptied easily.
It is quite heavy and has only one handle so can be difficult to move. Castors are available but have to be ordered separately and were out of stock when first I tried. They do work well when fitted.
My brother bought a dehumidifier at the same time and we found we had both bought the same one. I would recommend the Meacodry.

Previously had a 600W dehumidifier which produced warm air and dried faster but this model, at a quarter of the power rating blows cooler air and is a good unit. Is quieter than my previous model and apart from being heavy which may be a useful feature in terms of not being knocked over easily. If this lasts a few years then it will be a good purchase. Good value for money.

I wouldn’t measure this on the three categories suggested (noise, energy efficiency and manoeuvreability) because that’s not why I bought the thing.

It’s a great dehumidifier, I got it for a specific problem in our front wall, it’s managed to draw All the moisture out and keep the air a lot drier, meaning the house heats up quicker. I run it most of the time as recommended, especially when drying laundry. If you’re not very strong it’s probably quite hard to get up and down the stairs as it is quite heavy. Easy to operate though and has genuinely made a difference.

So pleased with this product. I’ve bought a number of dehumidifier before researching this model. I’m using it in a new build property which is a split bungalow, the downstairs room next to the garage without a dehumidifier shows signs of dampness and smells which are now being controlled. I like the indicator of the atmosphere, the machine maintains 55 switching on and off. When I first switched on it was extracting 12 litres of water every day and a half. Two months on and I’ve now gone a week without having to pour out water. So that’s a real positive step forward.
    Highly recommend

We’ve suffered with damp windows and black mold for over 30 years, and then we got this dehumidifier just over a week ago, to say it’s the best thing since sliced bread would be an under statement. In the past We’ve used the watercatchers that you get from the supermarkets and bought umpteen sprays to get rid of the black mold, but we thought enough is enough, they weren’t working so how about we try one of these machines. Yes, I’ll be the first to say I was extremely sceptical in the beginning, how could it get the water off all the windows in the flat, well I’m very pleased to say that this machine has performed a, what I can only describe as, a MIRACLE, and that’s not said in a flippant way, the amount of water it collected in the first 24hours was unbelievable, we emptied it twice before we went to bed, by the morning it was pretty much full again and so on and so on. I must say this is the first dehumidifier I’ve ever bought, I don’t know what the other’s are like, I can only tell you about this one, and by George this is a fantastic machine, and if I needed another one I wouldn’t hesitate buying one of these again. There aren’t any wheels on this one, but, I don’t find it heavy so I can just pick it up and move it if I need too. Yes you can hear it a little in the background, whether it’s on high or low fan setting, but, and it’s a big But..!! I’d rather put up with that than continue to breathe in that wet moldy air we’ve had for so many years, the air we get now is fresher and cleaner than we’ve ever had before, these machines are well worth investing in if you’ve got the same problems as we had, so I would highly recommend this one to anyone.

A really good product. I haven’t used any dehumidifiers before so I can’t make a comparison but this one is doing the job for me.
I have a small 3 bedroom house and I’am using it for my whole house. I’am surprised as to how much humidity there is in the house. I leave it on for at least 6 hours in the day. At the lower speed setting there is a low hum that can be heard downstairs but its not too bad. It is quite easy to move around although I have just placed it in the hallway upstairs.
Overall I would say its a good dehumidifier.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to, has a very handy screen telling you what the humidity is and keeps it at the pre-set level. When you first get this unit, it will probably run between 1 — 2 weeks solidly until the humidity is at your target level so don’t be surprised if it does this. I set my humidity level to 55 which for me is ideal.

You are going to want to keep your humidity level below 60% as this is when mould starts to proliferate. The air certainly feels lighter (more spring – summer like) and it’s easier to breath in the winter when you want to keep your windows shut, my home also heats more efficiently. This unit makes all the difference for a comfortable environment.

Whilst it’s heavy, it goes about the job of getting rid of excess water in the air as quietly as possible. I’ve set the humidity level, so the machine goes on and off as necessary.

When I first plugged it in, I had to empty the container twice in one week, then once the following week, and now I’ve stopped checking and am waiting for the beep to alert me.
Its too early to comment on energy efficiency, but I’m very happy with it, and I hope it continues to work.
My clothes dry quicker, I don’t have to clean mould off windows and my house is warmer!

I’ve been very impressed with this unit, was a bit bigger than I expected but it’s a nice design and looks fine in the room. I needed something to solve the condensation in my garden office and this has completely got rid of it.

My office was newly built in wet weather so had a fair amount to deal with in the first few days but it cleared it to nothing within in 3 days. Now zero condensation on windows and only have to empty container every 3 to 4 days. It’s not too noisy just like a fan kicking on and off.

All in all a good bit of kit and I’m glad I read other reviews and paid a bit more for this unit as it’s worth it for the job it does
