Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI carefully arranged the delivery so it would go well, which it did. The fridge was to fit snugly in the corner which I had prepared for it, so it should have been a fairly simple operation to take the wrapping off and put it into place. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way as the polystyrene underneath the fridge had broken and large parts of it were well and truly stuck up in the bottom of the fridge. It was very awkward trying to get the stuck polystyrene out while holding onto the fridge and trying to stop myself and/or the fridge from toppling over and crashing to the ground which very nearly happened. Parts of the polystyrene had disintegrated and continued to disintegrate, some of it into zillions of tiny beads which went everywhere and still not sure I managed to get them all. I am a disabled senior citizen and on my own so it was a real struggle being able to get the bits out that had been caught up under the fridge while trying not to capsize myself or break the fridge, and in the process the vinyl flooring got a nasty scratch. I am surprised that Miele are using polystyrene like this as there must be a better way?

This is a nice fridge, but....

Have bought a Miele larder fridge before – 23 years and still going strong!
Bought another as I am so pleased with it. Very quiet great storage and very well made. Worth the extra money if you can afford it.
I would definitely recommend it and would have given 5* but it has 2 depressions or dents on the edge. Amazon has dealt with this to my satisfaction.

This is a really good sized under counter fridge. All of the visible components look very well made and although expensive compared to mass produces low cost fridges that are badged for different retailers, this one has a great design and masses of internal space. Lets hope it gives good service.

This is a fantastic fridge which has a lot more room inside than I imagined. It’s been very well designed and I particularly like the fact that the salad drawer is in two parts, a standard draw on one side and a longer drawer on the other for items like celery, rhubarb and cucumber.
It’s very quiet, efficient and looks ultra smart. I’m really happy with my purchase and I’d highly recommend it.

The only fault, is the handle which protrudes outside my worktop and has sharp edges

As stated above good general build quality , the ability to remove the small salad draw and stand up bottles is a bit of an impractical gimmick . The Handel to pull out the salad draws is at the bottom so you have to bend double to open, if it were at the top of the draw it would make opening less of a gymnastic event . The wheezing noises it make when running are a bit odd. But the dog has got used to it now so no big deal really .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a well built, roomy fridge with easily adjustable shelves. Nice and quiet to run. Would have preferred having a handle that doesn’t stick out but that’s not a major problem.

This has to be the best internal sized fridge on the market. Very quiet and masses of storage space. This has changed my life.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving had a Bosch fridge for many years which completely met our needs, a couple of years back we needed a replacement quickly when it finally died on us. As everybody was buying up fridges then due to COVID and anticipated shortages, choice was limited and we ended up buying a budget brand from a well known high street chain simply because that was all we could find. Big mistake! It was just so poorly constructed. It rattled when you walked near it and the noises it made when it was running used to scare our dog! A few months ago we bought a new freezer by Miele and have been very impressed so we decided to go for their fridge too. We have never regretted that decision. It is so well made. Its doesn’t rattle at all and the motor is wonderfully quiet. The design is brilliant. Despite the same external dimensions, it seems to allow us to get so much more internally. The salad drawer is in two parts making it so much lighter to lift out – for old codgers like us that is a huge improvement on our last one which only had a single drawer and was very heavy to lift. And then there’s the door. It really does close with a soft clunk just like a premium quality car. I recommend this fridge without reservation.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived promptly, well packaged. Needed a wider than average fridge to fill space and this fits perfectly. Runs quite quiet keeps everything chilled as it should.
Only dislike is the handle which protrudes quite far out, would have preferred a flush handle.
Overall I am pleased with the fridge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s a really roomy fridge, excellent ontrol over temperature. It is quiet, but if you, like me, get the impression that you won’t hear anything from it, it does sound annoying every so often.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersNo fancy gadgets to go wrong and put the price up, just a very good basic fridge that does the job really well.

I keep a thermometer in the fridge door pocket and once I’d got the temperature set right (I prefer 3.5c) it holds the temperature well. If I turn it down too low I get ice crystals and half frozen food on the bottom shelf which is not a good idea but it’s nice to know the fridge is powerful enough to get really cold if I need it at any time.

The capacity is extremely good for an under counter fridge and it seems to hold far more than my previous fridge. One shelf can be reduced to half depth which is really useful for arranging fridge space to suit my own particular needs.
The shelf heights can be altered without having to remove the shelf and slide it in again. There are semi circles cut into the side edges of the shelf and you just need to pull the shelf forward enough to line up the cut outs with shelf support columns. If you are brave, you can change shelf height without unloading the shelf.

I can get entire pans of soup on the bottom shelf. I use Tefal pans with removable handles but my large 4.5 litre WMF pressure cooker also fits in with the handle removed. I’d never have got the complete pressure cooker in my old fridge.

The glass shelves seem quite thin but strong. The glass is clear and smooth with no ridges or dots to trap dirt. The little white dots on the shelves of my old fridge used to turn grey and had to be bleached regularly so the smooth glass is far more hygienic. The door shelf is deep enough to take 4 pint milk containers with ease. The top door shelf is full width with a full width hinged cover and excellent for cheese and bits. It came with a very good quality egg tray insert which I immediately binned as I don’t keep eggs in the fridge.

The veg boxes are important to me as we buy a large veg box and at times the fridge is just crammed with fruit and veg. This fridge has one good sized veg drawer and a separate half sized one. Both slide out to the front rather than the “remove everything, lift the shelf, and delve into the box” type that are on many under counter fridges. I can’t think of anything more stupid.

The handle does jut out into the room but it does mean the handle can be used with messy mid-cooking hands and not make the fridge door grubby. It is also a good strong metal handle. The plastic scoop handle on my last fridge broke within a few months, this looks seems much stronger and should last.
