Classroom knowledge
Microscopes are mainly used to magnify tiny objects into instruments that can be seen by the naked eye. The optical microscope was first created by Jansen in the Netherlands in 1590. The optical microscope is mainly composed of eyepiece, objective lens, stage and reflector. Both the eyepiece and the objective lens are convex lenses with different focal lengths. The focal length of the convex lens of the objective lens is smaller than the focal length of the convex lens of the eyepiece. The objective lens is equivalent to the lens of the projector, and the object becomes an inverted, enlarged real image through the objective lens. The eyepiece is equivalent to an ordinary magnifying glass, and the real image becomes an upright, enlarged virtual image through the eyepiece. Objects from the microscope to the human eye are all inverted magnified virtual images. The mirror is used to reflect and illuminate the object being observed. Reflectors generally have two reflecting surfaces: one is a flat mirror, which is used when the light is strong; the other is a concave mirror, which is used when the light is weak to converge the light.
WHAT IS A MICROSCOPE?A microscope contain 2 lens systems:the eyepiece and the objective. We’re presenting this system as one lens each so that the concept is easier to understand. In reality, however, the eyepiece, and the objective in the revolver are made up of multiple lenses. The lower lens(objective) produces a magnified image of the prepared specimen. The picture, which you can’t see,is magnified once more by the second lens(eyepiece),which you can see as the “microscope pictureâ€.
Precautions:
(1) Before using the microscope, you should be familiar with the names of each part of the microscope and how to use it, especially the characteristics of identifying the three types of objective lenses.
(2) Most of the specimens observed in the practice of parasitology are colorless and lighter in color, so attention must be paid to the adjustment of light.
(3) When observing fresh specimens, a cover glass must be added to prevent the specimen from being dried and deformed due to evaporation or contamination and corroding the objective lens. At the same time, the specimen surface can be leveled and the light can be concentrated, which is beneficial to observation.
(4)When using the 40x magnification objective lens, the objective lens may touch the specimen. Please be careful.
Operational Instruction
1.Put the eyepiece in the eye tube.
2.Connect the power or load three AA batteries.
3.Clean the specimen, place the coverslip upward in the center of the stage and fix it with the tablet.
4.Rotate the converter and set the objective to lowest magnification 4x.Watch into the eyepiece while slowly rotating the coarse focusing knob.A unclear object can be seen at this stage, and slowly rotate the fine focusing knob until a clear vision.
5.Adjust the filter disc or the brightness of the light source while looking at the eyepiece until the condition is appropriate.
6.Objective lens can be replaced according to actual needs:adjust the converter clockwise:4x→10x→40x.
Note:Make sure that you never over-tighten the focus knob!Always move the stage to the lowest position before changing the objective setting to avoid any damage!

How to create your label?
1. Take the observation material for slicing, pay attention to the slice to be thin;
2. Use a dropper to suck up 1 to 2 drops of water and place it in the center of the slide.
3. Tear off a small piece of the observation object with tweezers (the material should be turned into a thin sheet and placed in the droplets on the slide and try not to shrink the material.
4. Grasp a clean cover glass with tweezers, first touch one side of the cover glass with a small drop of water diagonally, then slowly lower the cover glass to cover all observation materials
5. After making it, you can put it under a microscope for observation.

This is a great beginner level microscope.
Two different positions of illumination and a kit with slides and power magnification lenses.
Controls are easy to use!
It came with sample slides to practice on. Seems to work as it should
The instruction manual, on the other hand, need not even be supplied as it doesn’t even describe the extras that come with the microscope let alone offer practical direction on function.
My main pet peeve though is the cellphone camera adapter. It’s a bit of a balancing act to hold it in position. There doesn’t seem to have been much thought put into its proportions at all. It can really only be used with the 2X and 25X eyepieces together as the inside diameter is too big for either the 10X or 25X eyepiece alone. I’m going to try a couple of rubber “O” rings to see if I can get better results.
It would be advisable to get some proper slide covers as well. I tried just placing a second slide over my sample and this made it impossible to use the highest magnification objective as it can’t get close enough to the platform to focus.
In spite of the stated issues, I’m still happy with my purchase!
Molto carino e ben fatto!
Bought for my wife as a birthday present as she had a very basic one as a child. Good magnification, top and bottom LED lights that are powered by mains and battery. Useful phone support so that you can take pictures.
Bought for 9 year old daughter. Find myself using it more than she. For the price, very cool.
We are happy with microscope. Exactly what we wanted. Easy to use. Thank you.
It’s something that you need to already know how to use, might not be the best thing to buy if you don’t know how to use them.
We bought this for home schooling our grandson and we use it daily. A great resource at a great price!
his was just what i was looking for in a family microscope. easy to use, fairly simple to get clear images. My kids are 5 so they lost interest quickly on each slide but i believe they will use it more and more as they get older.
My last microscope had a clearer picture and I paid less for it. Also the phone holder isn’t the best, phone slips out of place quickly because suction cups aren’t strong enough to hold the weight of the phone. Still, it gets the job done
Nice scope! If you have a sharp eye and know what you’re looking for, you can slightly see individual blood cells, chained cells are easy to see.
Comes with some prepared slides that were fun to look at, you can see a bee’s hair follicle clear as day.
I made a slide of my own hair root and you can see the texture of the hair quite clearly at 2000x.
Doesn’t come with filters in the filter circle… I thought that was odd.
The suction cups on the phone holder ripped the back off my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and cracked it… The back isn’t supposed to come off, and now won’t go back on… Be careful I guess*
The microscope came with a selection of prepared slides to get used to using the microscope and it was a nice selection that was interesting to view. There were also a few clean/blank slides to use but as I mentioned, there are no slide covers. I did use the slides with drops of pond water without slide covers and it is doable, just not the best.
The microscope itself is very well made–mostly made from metal. There is a light that shines up from the bottom and one that shines down from the eyepiece area onto the subject. I can pick one or the other source of light via the on/off switch which rocks to the right for the upper light and rocks to the left for the lower light. The entire kit is encased in a really nice small case with a handle that protects everything very well. A cell phone holder is included to hold my cell phone so I can photograph whatever I’m looking at via the eyepiece. That worked surprisingly well for me. There is also a pipette to help prepare slides as well as a few other odds and ends.
Overall, it’s a really really nice microscope set. I only took one star off because of the lack of slide covers so that I could immediately use the blank slides to prepare my own using our pond water. It’s a really minor complaint and isn’t really a problem with the microscope per se.
I love all of the added attachments that come with it.
I’ve not used them all yet, but what I have used, I absolutely love!
Highly recommend!
This is an excellent microscope kit that comes with everything needed to explore the microscopic world. Both children and adults can use this microscope. It’s a good size and crafted out of solid materials. Focusing it is easy and it produces a clear image. The LED light works well to illuminate the specimen being magnified. It’s very stable and easy to work with.
The kit comes with starter slides, a phone adapter used to take pictures and videos, an AC adapter and a great carry bag that everything can fit neatly into. It’s a compact kit that is easy to transport.
The overall quality of the microscope and included accessories is good. I have no problem using this microscope, and my children also like playing with it. It’s an excellent microscope that is exactly as described.
