It is of great help in avoiding an accident before being able to reach the light switch. It can be placed in the best position for safety in the dark.
We have been using two of these lights now for some weeks. The first provides a light for visiting a bathroom during the night, when it is helpful to avoid the noise of a switch or bright lights. It works well on both counts – the light is sufficient but not bright and helps to avoid us waking up. The second provides a light for illuminating a step on the way into a downstairs cloakroom. With careful positioning it is effective for doing so.
Both are working effectively. We happen to have convenient points for placing them without the use of adhesive or fixing – they stand perfectly well on a flat surface.
Love these I brought it for my toilet and the light is to bright especially if your getting up at 2/3am they are bright but still enough that you can go back to sleep without being fully woken. They stuck to tiles lovely and easy to change the batteries as well (not that I have yet which is another bonus)
Got this for the outside toilet to save having to remember to turn the main light on each time. Screwed it onto the inside of the new wooden door (my fault one of the screws hasn’t gone in flush but the light’s secure enough) and am delighted with it’s performance so far. Does exactly what it says on the box and suits my needs perfectly
This is a well designed piece of equipment. There are NO adjustments. It comes on if the light level is low and it detects life. It stays on for about 20 seconds. Illumination is not great but more than adequate to find your way around without falling down stairs or something.
I have not rated adhesion. There is a mounting plate provided with two key holes to take the device. The plate has a sticky back to put it onto a wall, or somewhere. Once stuck on it will not come off! I had perfectly good usage of the device by just placing it on a shelf or window sill.
Battery life is impressive if you use Duracell batteries.
I seriously recommend this device for landings etc.

I’ve bought two of these for the landing at night. Took a few trials to place them without the cats lighting them up. Plenty of light when up during the night. Will buy more.

It’s not a floodlight but lights up a decent space.
Bought one for an area in our BnB where if guests return late, it’s quite dark for them to use their room keys. We had a cheap battery one that they had to switch on and off, but invariably, it was left on draining the battery. This is perfect. Bright enough, but not blinding. Stays on long enough for them to enter their rooms, then switches off. Sensor works beautifully. So good, I ordered another for the shed!!!
Extremely simple install. A simple but effective design. It even monitors ambient light so doesn’t come on if you open the cupboard door in daylight. Recommended.

Found the item to be great. Wall mount or free stand, it has a bright light and stays on for about 30 seconds when activated.
This is our second one and that’s because the first is so good. Gives a good pool of light in those dark unlit spots indoors. No adjustments which is great, just put in the batteries and use it. Light stays on a amount of time and battery life is very good.

This is a very good product – we use it to light up a wooden shed attached to the house which is sort of a wood store/ grow house/tool store. I’m always a bit dubious about sticking lights up with a sticky pad but this adhered perfectly to the wood and shows no signs of falling off. I’ve bought Mr Beams in the past and they’ve always been good. This is no exception.

I like the fact that the light is soft so does not interfere with sleep if I go to the loo during the night. I go straight back to sleep as the “dawn” light response is not triggered.
I am useless at DIY and have tried many motion lights without success. Also, those that I used before were solar and did not light in the winter months. This is operated by battery and I installed it in November with ease. Three months later and I am delighted with it. Great light and works every time!!
This battery operated light solved all problems.
I’ve placed it 3ft above the toilet on tiles with double sided sticky tape which was provided and as soon as you enter the light comes on, once you leave the bathroom the light doesn’t stay on too long once you have left so you don’t waste batteries also whilst you are in there the sensor detects you so it stays on for you.
Takes 4 double AA batteries, the whole light is very good quality even the battery compartment especially the screws also.
The light itself is just right, not too bright and not too dull. One of the photo’s was taken at night so you can see how bright it is.
Just thought I would mention that once you leave the bathroom the light only stayed on for 25 seconds before turning off so your not wasting batteries.

We needed a light in our under stairs cupboard which is very crowded. This is perfect and easy to fix in place.
As expected, no problem. Haven’t tried sticking it to anything as on shelf.
I have about six of theses lights around the house. I have also given some to my daughter who has them around her house. They are excellent for cupboards, hallways and small rooms which you only use momentarily. The white light ones give off a good light and the soft blow ones are adequate for a small bedroom. The batteries last for months.
I put this one in the bathroom for night time visits, to avoid putting on the bright light. It works pretty well, though I wish the sensor had a slightly wider range. It is also a bit disconcerting for the light to go off if you are sitting motionless on the loo for any longer than the 20-30 seconds. I then need to wave an arm at the sensor to get light again! The light given off is just right, not too bright but not too dim.
Next time I would purchase one with an on/off switch so I could switch to ‘on’ if I knew I was going to be more than 30 seconds, but I suppose I could just turn on the main light in that case! (There is a similar style light I have seen on Amazon though which does have a little handy on-switch at the top front.)
Additionally, the backing is a bit odd. And the battery compartment is fiddly as you need a screwdriver. Hopefully one doesnt have to open it very often. Personally I think it is far too heavy to use the sticky pad to stick on a wall and will just fall off eventually. Fortunately there are 2 screw holes. But I just use it free-standing and that way I can move it around to test the sensor in different angles. (Also why the square ones are better than the round ones).
I will update once I have had it longer.

I recently moved into a flat with a very dark entrance hall. Shopping deliveries after dark have been carried out in almost total darkness – only alleviated by the glow from the streetlight opposite.
I decided to buy this light in an attempt to see what I was doing when using the front door. It is perfect for the job. Not the brightest light out there, but it supplied plenty of light to enable me to comfortably function in my hall after dark. I could even read the delivery note for a change.
The only downside was the adhesive which had a lifespan of approx 5 mins. Fortunately I was still in the hall and caught the light as it fell, otherwise it would have been an expensive accident.
If you need a light in a dark space, I would definitely recommend this.

Great light, a little smaller than I thought it would be, but still great non the less. Needed something to go in my bathroom as the fan kicks in automatically when cord is pulled, no way of switching fan off, fan takes 10 minutes to cut out and is noisy, so not ideal when trying to sleep. This light kicks in as soon as I open the door, and gives off more than enough light to do the job I need it too. I have purchased another to go in my porch way, as struggle to see the keyhole after a few beers, I have already gone through 2 phone screens trying to use the torch, so this will be a lifesave
Really impressed with this battery powered motion sensor nightlight – excellent quality, well made, good value and works brilliantly. We bought it for our bathroom for the nighttime as we found that switching on the bright ceiling lights woke us up too much, making it difficult to get back to sleep, whilst complete darkness was dangerous. This unit comes on automatically as we walk in, giving adequate light to the WC, basin and towel rail without being so bright as to wake us up fully and it switches off shortly after we leave the room. Really glad we purchased it.
They’re all over my considerable stairwell so I don’t have to leave lights on overnight anymore – probably saved more what they cost me on that alone because they’re great value. Motion detection is fine and illumination is good too. The batteries are easy to replace and last about a year in my house. I’ve marked it down on adhesion simply because we have textured wallpaper, so I found I had to use the screws to put them on my walls – no problem though – a very easy job and worthwhile.

I use this light in a passage that has no light. This light picks up any movement immediately. It is very good and bright.

Bought for a log store (no mains power), very good motion, picks me up as soon as I enter the shed, was a bit dubious on the brightness but it reflects the light well as seems brighter than expected… batter life is very good, maybe changed 1 or twice per year(think once as I can’t remember last time I changed batteries).

Brilliant product. I wanted something on the landing as my mother gets up in the night (with a walking frame) and doesn’t put the light on. This lights her way regardless gives enough light for the bathroom and to see her back to bed. I bought the smaller ones after but this product beats them hands down!

Arrived on time, does what it says. Could be brighter, otherwise no problem.
Second one purchased – original had an orange/yellow caste, but this one is bright white – slightly better for the location. overall these items are very sparing with their battery use by comparisn with some makes.

Great night light for the bathroom when the grandkids are staying over so they can go to the toilet without having to put the main light on.
It is ideal it lights the bottom of the stairs and it is very sensitive so we feel much safer knowing where the stairs are.
Like others, after a year it had been turning off and on by itself. Now it doesn’t work at all, even with new batteries. It was great for that first year though. Maybe a little short on the time it’s on for though.
Put this in our under stairs cupboard and ideal for what we wanted.
Was impressed by this little light, I have used as an under stairs cupboard lighting solution. The sensor is great, comes on immediately with no delay and lights the cupboard quite well. The beam brightness is a little limited, but as I only need to light a cupboard is not a problem. I have only rated as 4 stars as there are now cheaper versions out there, especially for multi-packs.
Fab little light, I have no electricity in my downstairs loo and this light is perfect. Bright led, good motion detection and like that it only comes on when light Levels are low.

Very bright for battery operated. Sensor is very sensitive to movement from straight in front or to the side but not if you are standing above
Really complicated to work out how to get to the battery compartment. A section slides off but that wasn’t at all obvious and loses a star. I can’t say I like the way it fixes to a wall. We have it sat on something.
Those are the negatives. The good news is that it works and works well. I have a mains equivalent in the outer hall and wanted the same in the inner hall but we don’t have a power socket. This filled the need. In the long term, I will probably run a cable rather than use batteries, but this proves the location.
When no longer needed in the hall it will find use elsewhere. It is convenient and effective.
Purchased while waiting for our landlord to replace a fitted light in the bathroom and have still kept it in there even after the lights been fixed! Works perfectly and gives a perfect amount of light to fill a downstairs cloakroom toile
The nightlight was easy to install, and in fact I tried it in several places before finding the ideal location. I wish it would stay on slightly longer after detecting motion.
I bought this while I was waiting for the ceiling light to be delivered and fitted which has been fitted and working and I have left it in the bathroom as its really handy in the middle of the night the light just comes on and goes off when you enter the bathroom.

Really good. Lights up enough to fine the key in the door! Not really bright and sometimes the motion sensor is a bit slow but that might be due to where it is rather than the product.
I brought this for my porch and it’s great! As soon as you open the door the light comes on and it’s really quite bright for its size. Sensor then goes off after a while. Simple and really effective.

If you have no mains power handy, these are perfect. Quite bright, quick to react and quite long battery life. All sorts of uses, in the porch to find the keyhole, on the bedroom landing, in wardrobes so you can find your tie quickly – all sorts.
Great for night time bathroom lights, added one to front door for key entry, garage and shoe cupboard !! Love them not sure how long batteries will last but 3 weeks and all good so far .
Perfect for lighting the recess to my front door so I can get the key in during darkness, especially after a few beers…took minutes to attach to the wall and provides ample light for the intended purpose. It’s not a floodlight though so don’t expect that level of light. No problems with it surviving the recent poor weather so seems robust. Great value.

The builders installed an outside light by our front door, in just the wrong place to illuminate the door lock. As it would be messy to move it, we installed one of these LED lights under the porch canopy, and it’s perfect. It instantly detects my presence when I let the cat out, and lights up as soon as I stand in front of it in my way in. It has been up about a month, and there’s no sign of it falling off or running the battery down.
Only had these for a few days but so far so good. Fitted in a small porch and does the job. Easy to fit. Motion detector good. Not the brightest log but fine for what I want.

This is an excellent SMALL light for the front door, to guide me to the key hole in the dark! The self-adhesive tape on the back of the light even stuck to cement! (no screws needed) 🙂
Seems to work ok. However, I find interesting that the packaging says Made in China and also Manufactured in the USA. The UK supplier says one year warranty but the packaging says two years!
Also, its a bit mean that the required four “AA” batteries are not included. But it’s still a great produc

Mine lasted such a long time, so I bought the twin pack, I use these in the night time, fir toilet visits, the sensor is great, I now have four which I have bought over the years, they ate still going strong and have outlived any other sensor light I have purchased
Great little light for the once dark porch which when opening the front door at night was a pain seeing which was the correct key. This light ain’t to bright to be annoying but ideal to open the door. Motion is good and works every time. The self sticky pads worked a treat. Would buy again!

We brought these for our hallway and bathroom for our son to find his way in the night. They work perfectly and the sensor and timer are just right for the middle of the night.
I bought this nightlight for use in the bathroom at night without disturbing the rest of the house. I put it on a shelf. The light comes on as soon as you enter the bathroom and gives off enough light to use the toilet, wash hands etc. It automatically switches off after 30 seconds of no motion detected and does not light up in the day due to the light sensor. A great buy.
Has been serving us well in the porch during the winter months – has now served two winters of daily use in porch to clean muddy paws after walks. Still using same batteries!
This product is great! My daughter wakes up at night and I was worried about her waking down the stairs at night half asleep. This light has been amazing. Switches on as she gets near. Love it! We have another one in the kids bathroom.
Day 1 put on windowsill above the toilet in the family bathroom, worked a dream, kids can get up to use the toilet and the sensor pics them up before they hit the light switch. OK house of boys the loo seat stays down but little steps.
The light is bright enough to see what you need to do, sensor pics up motion as expected.
The motion detector works brilliantly and the strength of the light is adequate to illuminate a small to medium bathroom.
This device now saves the household from switching on the main lights which in turn activates the air extraction device above the shower. I haven’t had the device that long but my guess is that the batteries will last a long time.

Cheap yet work well. Handy landing light that comes on in the night near the top of stairs when anyone gets up. Another one is outside standing against a house wall on the ground beside 3 steps. It comes on as people approach the steps and never blows away or moves – I’m sure people must think it is stuck to the wall – but that would be inconvenient when the rechargeable batteries need re-charged. Great little product.

This is the second one I have had. Placed in bedroom for when my husband gets up in the night. Takes 4 x AA batteries which seem to last forever. Is small and doesnt look out of place. 18 month old Grandaughter loves to play with it. She loves little bricks. But not recommended to put it in the bath! Hence I need another! Will be moved each time she visits.
Bought for use in the bathroom. The ceiling spotlights are too harsh on the eyes in the middle of the night. This provides a very decent amount of light, without being too bright.
I’m not sure what the sticky pad is like. I suspect it would make a mess of the wall. I used some 3M command strips so I can move it in the future. It does come with rawplugs and screws should you need them.
Overall very happy with it, does exactly the job it was brought for.
I love this light. It’s lasted for sometime using a battery, which is amazing since one I got for my wardrobe only lasted a week on 4 batteries!
So, it’s perfect, reacting quickly to a presence and lasting long enough to see where you’re going and easy to trigger back on again if you need light a bit longer. It’s not a dazzling light, but perfect to use as a night light in the loo.
