Have brought Mr Beams products before and have always been good, this light installed in a garden shed and works perfectly with a decent amount of light.
I’ve had one of these about 5 years under the stairs and maybe changed the batteries 3 times. This new one is brighter, and I hasten to add for a different cupboard because the old one is still going strong. It looks smart and it always comes on when light levels are low as you open the cupboard door. The light easily covers the large coat cupboard from 2/3 of the way up the wall.
To fit it you just screw the backplate onto the wall or ceiling with 2 screws supplied. The holes in the backplate have enough flexibility that you don’t have to be 100% precise with the holes in the wall. Fit the batteries in the light and then twist it onto the backplate. I don’t often do this kind of thing but it was simple.
Used two of these for loft lights and for a cupboard under stairs,just what was required and would recommend

Brought this last year as I have no electric in my porch.
Absolutely brilliant! Lights up the whole porch and the sensor turns it on when the door opens. Loved it so much that recently brought another for my garage, which also lights up the whole room.
Pretty simple to install. Took all of 10 mins. Bright enough for the front porch at night time. Does has Motion detection for when it’s dark but you can change it to come on at night time.
It uses D batteries so will last for at least a year. Substantial and high quality fitting. Includes all fittings. No settings for time or daylight, just fit and forget. Highly recommended.
Brilliant light but I have lost the little black senso
Bought this for my 10*6 shed which is windowless as it sits alongside a fence and beneath a willow tree. Not a problem in the summer, but moving into winter you’d do yourself an injury trying to extract anything. The instructions weren’t so clear about removing the little screw on the back for opening, but otherwise it was fine. I bought some rechargeable D cells as they weren’t much more money than the regular alkaline. Motion sensor triggers well, bright enough in the area required, bit more money than others available but I’ve bought cheap bought twice a few times and found it rather boring….

Bought 3 of these for our communal 3 flights staircase to various apartments. They are bright enough to light each flight (1 of them lights lower and upper short flight) and are set to come on at any time of the day, not just in darkness. They just stay on a very short while but saves fiddling around for light switches when carrying things for tenants and delivery people.
A simple to install and very effective light for my garage which has no mains lighting. I attached this to the rafter in the centre of the garage and it comes on when I open the door without fail. I installed it in under ten minutes and it is very effective – I would have liked it to be a bit brighter but considering the size of the garage it is adequate.
Installed to our porch as I didn’t want the hassle of having to wire a conventional light. Very impressed with the motion sensor and the light is very bright.
I bought this to replace a similar item from a different manufacturer that didn’t work out of the box. Happily, this light is completely different. It’s reassuringly solid, very simple to get the batteries into, and works perfectly, giving a good amount of light for the size. Fixing to the wall or ceiling is very easy, and once installed, everything feels firm and strong. It’s worth noting that the 4xD-cell batteries (not included) are almost as expensive as the light itself, so overall satisfaction will depend on how long these last.
However, motion detection is excellent, and the light switches off after about 20 seconds of no movement, so hopfully the batteries will last well.
The light is bright enough to fully light a small shed (7′ by 6′) where I store a motorcycle. I think it would do a good job up to about twice that size.

It’s quite big and needs four big torch batteries
No timer adjustment, but goes off quite quickly once out of range of the sensor, I would guess about 30 seconds – so I’m expecting to get quite a long life out of the batteries.
My human food provider needed this to see as good as me in the dark and it works cos he didn’t fall over me coming in from the pub like he normally does.
Purchased light for bathroom shower and is perfect and saves turning on the main lights in the morning….

Easy to install, been up two weeks now and spot on – been looking for a light for our front door for a while now, and this has prove to be spot on – nice and bright, motion detection seem to be just right. Almost makes me welcome the winter so we can see it in it’s full effect (almost).

I have a small outside porch open on three sides. I was able to have this motion sensor lamp attached to the porch ceiling by using proper screws and not the ones provided.
As you need to put in 4 D batteries they make quite a weight and I didn’t want the light dropping on anyone’s head I couldn’t risk just having it stuck up it has to be safe.
The light it gives out is perfect for me to see what i need if coming home or see who is at the door if I am indoors.
I don’t like bright lights so for me this is the perfect amount of brightness.
I am also wanting to put another one inside a walk in cupboard that doesn’t have a light.it will do there perfectly as well. Again I don’t want bright eyeball shocking light, I just want visibility.
I like that it is battery operated and easy to put up. It is easy to change the batteries too.
Bit of a job installing but not impossible, really brilliant bright light, used in my porch instead of having mains installed, the only thing I would have wanted is a time setting as it doesn’t stay on for very long at all.

The light is so bright and makes such a difference, I had tried cheaper versions and then got got this. So don’t waste your money on alternatives, just get this one and be really happy as I am.
These are brilliant within kitchen cupboards or placed like an Airing cupboard or under the stairs. No wires and you only need some light in these places to make the difference
It is perfect for us, was ablt to install farily easily.
It is installed a place where we frequenty go to so the light is trigerred atleast 10 times a day.
After 11 months of use, the light has gone bit dimmer so we replaced two of the batteries with new ones to get it bit more brighter.

Terrific little light! We needed something for the under stair cubby room that has no electric wiring in. Lights up real bright and stays on for a good 30 seconds at least. Just remember to buy the batteries (you need x4).
My very non diy partner managed to fit it with no problem. I would recommend drilling the fixture in rather using sticky tape as the batteries make the thing quite heavy.
Perfect for small porch area where no power available. No more searching for keyhole in the dark!
This thing is so bright, it’s like having a light bulb in the shed.
The fixing bracket seems good and the screws in my opinion are fine if hand screwing them into wood.
I have other Mr. Beams products and the batteries last over a year with constant use.
I opted for wall mount and because the front is frosted the light is powerful but not blinding. The light itself rotates and locks onto the wall bracket nice and securely, but is easy to remove to change the D batteries.
The light output is great for the size of the unit, and the motion detection is very wide reaching. The light also stays on for around 30 seconds or so after it last detects motion. No problems at all, highly recommended.
I bought one of these to mount on the rafters in the loft. Mine is held on with two screws, use your own decent screws not the rubbish ones supplied. Easy to fit in the wooden rafters high up so when I open my loft hatch the light comes on and illumiates a chunk of loft space. I will consider getting another one to mount elsewhere in the loft as once you’re out of the direct line of the light it will shut off after 20seconds. Does the job and looks good.
Again, Mr Beams has come up trumps with this great light. We have a small utility room with no ceiling light, this was easily remedied with the purchase of this light. It looks neat and works perfectly!
This was a perfect solution for my needs I wanted a light over our outside door so I could basically see to get my key in the lock and I didn’t want the hassle of getting an electirc light fitted. It gives af a real good lighting area perfect for what I needed. It comes on perfectly and it took about 10 minutes to fit it’s really simple. It’s made of Plastic like most products these days but it feels sturdy looks clean and classy . I can’t comment on battery useage but they say 1year from the batteries with up to 10 activations per day, We’ll see. I’d say check what you need it for but it was ideal for my needs and I’d recommend it. I’m very pleased.
Bought this for the ceiling in our porch as I didn’t want to take power from the house. It is superb, bright light, dusk to dawn sensor and motion detects from about 3 metres. Great product.
