It does what it says on the tin and it’s a very good light. However, for model makers it does cast a lot of shadows because it is so bright. Perhaps 2 smaller lights would be better? Or lower power setting? Finally, to switch off the light requires you to press the switch 3 times! Odd.

It’s a lovely bright light, and a nice cool white colour. There’s 4 levels of dimming which is a great option to have. It feels sturdy and lights up quite a wide area. Would recommend.

This lamp is perfect for miniature painting or any other similar task.
Brightness is great. Neutral, natural light spectrum.
Adjusting the brightness level is a great touch if you need less luminosity early in the day.
The arm is flexible enough to get the lamp to your ideal position.
    Construction is very sturdy.
    Recommended! The price is justified.

Fantastic amount of light. Perfect for our needs. I had considered 23 inch light instead of 20 inch, but this is more than sufficient to give me great light coverage. So much better than the smaller led I had previously.

We bought two of these lamps, one for 28mm model painting and one for crafting. The are well made, simple to operate and give a bright natural light, very close to daylight. Considering the price of other similar lamps they represent good value for money and a small extra bonus is that they look smart too. Assembly is simple and takes just a couple of minutes to unbox the lamps secure the clamp, place the arm in the clamp and then place the lamp in the position you want it. The clamp is reasonably large so you do need a reasonable lip on your desk or table to secure it in place. The lamp head has a locking facility so it does not move around once in position. I would recommend this product.

Expensive, but gives good bright light like in a surgery ward 🙂
It helps me a lot while I’m doing something with microelectronics. A flexible console helps to adjust the lap to my needs.

Very good light, is as good as daylight and takes the strain off your eyes when working late at night or on an overcast day. Very good for hobby model building and painting. Also works well for reading as well.

As a tight so and so, i was i little reluctant to spash out nearly 100 on a modelling lamp but i have needed a proper worklight for some time as the 30 LED desklamp i was using wasn`t cutting it and was leaving me with sore eyes. I always do my research before buying and my google search threw up a review on a blog run by a guy that paints warhammer figures. I was impressed with the review and it was 50 cheaper than the well known brand i was resigned to buying, so i bought one! It has 4 brightness settings, in 25% increments. 100% is perfect for eliminating shadow when painting detail and attaching tiny parts but it would be a little harsh on the eyes after a while. I will probably use this at 75% mostly. The light head is actually 50cm wide not 55cm as it says.

The Task Lamp is really good, but if I have a small issue it is with the difficulty of manipulating it into all kinds of useful angles. It could have done with more flexibility and being able to stay in a given position without fear of breaking it.
    Highly recommend it’s use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have managed to get through a few angle-poise lamps over the years as I use them for hobbies where they get pushed and pulled around a lot. Ones with a plastic pin at the base of the armature would, sooner or later, snap in half. When the last one broke I was nervous about a replacement as it is hard to tell from the pictures online whether they are truly all metal in construction. But, no worries with this Neatfi LED lamp. It is about 20% longer than normal angle-poise desk lamps so it can be used on quite long workbenches which suits me just fine. It comes with a large and sturdy, all metal, mounting clamp. There are no holes in the clamp to allow you to screw it to the bench. This would have been nice but not essential. The base of the armature is all metal too with a good long metal pin to insert into the clamp. This angle-poise is not going to break very easily.

The lamp itself is an LED strip which gives a nice diffuse light source. However I would have preferred a regular Edison Screw mount so I can buy replacement bulbs off the shelf. I suspect when the LED strip fails that no spares will be available and the entire thing will go in the bin. I would hate the idea of built-in obsolescence. This is particularly acute for THIS product as it is a superb piece of quality engineering. It simply doesn’t smack of being disposable. This is a lamp for life which is what you would expect for the price. You get what you pay for. The armature does not have the usual springs you expect so it is all very sleek and slimline. I liked the switch being located on the top of the lamp. No more reaching down the back of the furniture to try and switch the thing on. (I mean, what is the deal with that!? That was always lousy/lazy design.) The switch is a bit flimsy and it takes a bit of getting used to. It does give you the ability to dim the light which I was initially doubtful about but then I found this to be useful. I use the brightest light on hobbies but then dim it for keyboard/screen work where a more subdued lighting is more appropriate. You will find yourself clicking the button over and over again to get the light level you want only to find you have switched the thing off. This is really annoying. I would have preferred a separate dimmer switch as this would have been easier to use. One thing I really loved about this was the fact that the plug is attached to a power cord that has a separate mini-plug that attached to a cable at the back of the lower armature. For anyone who has tried to thread a British three-pin plug out from the back of the furniture will know how difficult that is. So Neatfi have solved that problem as you can now position the lamp and thread the power cable to it separately without having to move all your furniture around. Smart thinking.

This is, without doubt, the best workbench lamp I have every purchased. Well worth the money. Extremely strong and solid. Beautiful design. Lots of really clever and well thought-out features. A few minor niggles but nothing major.

+ It’s bright enough to light the whole room.
    + easily adjustable.
+ No problems since November (2020)
    – really annoying way to change brightness/turn off.

I was quite surprised how much this lamp added for our board games, providing soft light without much of glare and illuminating all the areas of the table equally. My wife also uses it for cross stitching and very pleased with the convenience, instead of standard-type lamps.

Good light level on max. The mid elbow is below the height of my monitors so can’t bend downwards as it is against my screens. Still fairly manoeuvrable and provides sufficient light for my needs.

    Generally a good buy

I required a light for painting 40K minis and was previously using a 16.99 Woputne Desk Lamp. I was feeling that my Woputne Desk Lamp wasn’t quite cutting it so thought i would invest. I bought the Neatfi XL 2,200. Now I know there is a vast difference in price but I didn’t really know just how much brighter this Neatfi would be. On its dimmest setting it is brighter than the desk lamp on its brightest. On full the Neatfi blows my previous light out of the water. It is very sturdy and easy to setup. It is significantly larger than my previoulsy light and not quite as inconspicuous but that is the trade off you pay i guess. Very glad I purchased and for anyone painting under a cheaper smaller light like I was I would say definitely shell out that bit extra for something like the Neatfi.

My mother sews, knits, and reads her newspaper in her seat in the living room over the winter months. The room is quite dark, She bought a stand lamp with child reading lights. It is a 500w halogen standing lamp and the child lamp is 15w halogen. Even this does not provide enough light, and it consumes a large amount of power.
I purchased the Neatfi XL, and clipped it onto the widow sill beside her chair. Once we overcame the look, and it is clipped to window sill, I have managed to get her to use it, she is now very happy. She can see.
Also it is 12volt, so you can use where you only have battery power, like a caravan. I highly recommend this light.
