I have recently had to contact Netatmo customer support regarding my weather station battery usage being far too high as plenty of others have found out.
The unit was mounted under the eves of my garage away from wind, raind and direct sunlight. There was no water ingress and this is the second unit I have had as the first did the same. The agent I dealt with came to the conclusion the outdoor module was faulty and sorted the issue out to my complete satisfaction.
I am not sure why so many rather more negative reviews say this is not the case. Still speaking as I find I am quite happy with Netatmo considering my module was 4 years old..
Quite expensive for the fact that it is actually quite limited in features. It’s interesting that there’s no way to trigger an accurate outside on demand reading from the app.
Old V2 hardware recieved initially and didnt work with HomeKit as advertised. Contacted Netatmo and Netatmo arranged for an up-to-date V3 to be sent out. Good service and happy now. Thank you.
Love using this Netatmo weather station. I purchased (On Black Friday for half price) the rain and wind sensors. Love it. Provides reliable weather data. It’s very very close to the weather app stations. And the bbc for rain accumulation, and wind direction and speed. Very happy customer.
It’s taken me a while to have a proper look at this product, but now that I have had a chance to play with it, I have come away a bit perplexed as to who it is really aimed at.
This set comes with the indoor sensor and an outdoor sensor and that’s it. This limits its package capability to measuring temperature, air pressure, CO2 level and humidity, generally speaking. If you’re wanting to measure rainfall then you’ll need to purchase an additional module. Those things alone are pretty helpful though, as you get your own readings for your particular location instead of a more generalised reading that you would get from, say, your local online weather forecast.
The devices themselves seem well-made, although as other reviewers have noted the unit meant for outdoor positioning is not perhaps a rugged and weather-proof as you might think, so you have to be careful how you locate it. Under a soffit of your garage or other low roof point is probably the most sensible as you can get to it relatively conveniently for battery replacement without it getting too battered by the elements.
The wifi connection is ok in my case – but this is likely to be a very relative point as wifi is in and of itself a fractious topic for some people, as there can be numerous issues people have with coverage and interference.
Smart-home connectivity is another odd one, because it supports Alexa as well as HomeKit, but curiously it doesn’t support Google Assistant – which is perhaps the most widely used platform if not of in-home devices themselves (Google Home) then in Assistant-equipped devices (i.e. Android-powered phones and TVs as well as Google Home & NEST). This seems like a strange oversight that is not as inclusive as it could be – but it’s not a major deal.
When you start receiving the feeds of data though it does start to make a bit more sense, as you can see your own personal hyper-local feed of historical metrics which can help you if you need to react to such changes – perhaps if you have specific respiratory issues in your household, or maybe you have indoor or outdoor plants that are sensitive to the climate and may require intervention at short notice. Under that niche view then this range of products will likely find its home. It could really do with a bit more compatibility in the wifi department – maybe even being able to bounce wifi from one device to another to improve range, and I would like to see Google integration to enhance its interoperability with other connected home devices. The outdoor unit could also do with beefing-up to enhance its durability.
If you are one of those niche audiences that will value the granular hyper-local feeds of weather information, then this is a good starter set to get you going. If you don’t think you’ll value the intricacies of the metrics on offer, then just stick with other online local weather functions such as the Weather Underground service.

There are any number of people reporting that the design of the outdoor module is not up to our weather – with a lot of failures at the 1 year mark. In view of that I have installed both modules indoors, so that I can monitor different sectors of a holiday home (which has 10 different heating zones – with sometimes very different temperatures and meaning you can’t set up HIVE or NEST). This is working so far in terms of remote access, and means I can remotely turn onthe heating when required.
This was relatively easy to set up and it seems to be accurate too. It is not a cheap solution, but so far I am pleased with it.
This is very simple to set up. Range is good to getting through walls to outside and other rooms. Having had different weather stations over the years I was keen to try this.
Technology has certainly moved on. This tells you noise levels in the main station room, CO2, humidity and temperature. All it a convenient easily readable app which you can share with family or publish to The Netatmo web.
I was so impressed with this I have since purchased the rain gauge, wind speed (which has no moving parts!) and three room sensors. I think that indicates from the free review of a base station I was suitably impressed!!
I’ve been pleased with this weather station so far, it was relatively easy to set up and the information it gives seems to be accurate when compared to the Met Office.
On opening the box you see two relatively small aluminium cylinders, the larger one for indoors and the smaller for outdoors. I plugged in the indoors cylinder to the mains via the supplied USB cable and it connected to my phone via bluetooth initially, once I’d downloaded the Netatmo app, and then to my WiFi network without a problem.
The only problem I encountered during set up was after inserting the 2 supplied AAA batteries into the outside sensor I struggled to get the screw down lid to close perfectly flush with the seal, it kept gong down on an angle. After a bit of fiddling it screwed down properly.
I’ve read previous reviews about people who have had problems with water ingress with the outside sensor so I’ve placed it under the guttering on my garage (see photo) so hopefully it will stay dry-ish there.
The information you get in the app is nice and simple to understand, as can be seen in my photo’s, and you can also trace graphs for every measurement taken. One measurement I didn’t realise was measured is the CO2 level indoors, this has proven very interesting and shows we should have better ventilation when we have multiple people in our living room!
Its nice being able to access the data wherever I am, as a gardener its proven very handy, and also the feature that lets you see other peoples data who are in the Netatmo network on a map.
I would like to add the rainfall and wind speed sensors to the package but the price is high at the moment but its definitely something I’ll keep an eye on and try to purchase in the future.
Please click the helpful button below if you found my review in any way useful.
The clever bit is that if you loose internet as we do on rural wireless broadband, the indoor control unit stores the readings it continues to take and then uploads them when connection is resumed, clever.
Bought the rain gauge separately, decided haven’t got a good position for the wind gauge. Placed the outside temperature gauge on the north wall out of the shade. Comes with velcrose and a screw for fixing. Used the velcrose to tape it to the downpipe. There is a discussion point on how good it’s weatherproofed. We’ll see.
It is expensive but clever. Still learning it’s abilities. Good if you are interested in weather. Looking at other Netatmo stations is useful for traveling.
I confess to being a bit of a “weather geek”. I’ve had one of those consumer weather stations for many years but in the last year it had begun to fall to bits and then stopped working altogether.
There were 2 reasons I hesitated over the Netatmo. Mounting weather stations is a bit of a nightmare for the un-DIY type like me. For some reason, I thought the main module was about the size of the original Amazon Echo and the outdoor module the same but a bit shorter. Where to put them? How to mount them? I laughed when I opened the box. The outdoor module is a similar length to and slightly thicker than a Smarties tube. The indoor module about the thickness of those Christmas Smartie tubes, but half the length. And both incredibly light. It was a job of minutes to put a screw in under the eaves of my porch and simply hang the outdoor module on (and perfect for being away from rain and sunlight). The indoor module is small enough to be unobtrusive.
I had no issues at all setting it, and the Android app, up. And this app is really well done, in my opinion. Instant info, graphs for everything with minimum finger presses but beautifully clear and zoomable in and out. And the app also works fine on my Android tablet. Temperature measurements are spot on and barometer pressure agrees with the only remaining working part of my old weather station. I also bought the rain guage, well worth having in my opinion. That was equally easy to mount thanks to a standard tripod mount on the bottom (I used one of those “Gorilla” type mounts to wrap it around the top of a trellis in my garden). I love that you can hook into outdoor Netatmo stations all round the world – I have some marked as “Favourites” that are close to friend’s houses across Europe. I also like the measurement for air quality, something I haven’t had before which has provoked me to open windows more often to improve it – and decided me to get another indoor module for my bedroom.
I haven’t – and won’t get – the wind station. This really needs to be mounted on a roof and, though I liked having my previous one (on a garden wall) it was so hopelessly inaccurate because of obstacles and surrounding houses that I knew it would be a waste of money. Because the only thing I am slightly critical of with this Netatmo kit is value for money. This stuff feels just a bit too expensive for what it is, but that’s my only complaint. And Netatmo stuff appears regularly on Amazon Deals (I’ve been thinking about one for about 2 years, so I’ve been watching).
I’ve read many reports about the reliability of the outdoor sensor. They are worrying but I just haven’t had it long enough to comment personally. I’ve had no issues of any kind in the few weeks I’ve owned it.
If you’re the slightest weather geek, you will like this.
I had never looked into weather stations prior and never even knew that they existed or their purpose so when I was offered this, I thought it would be interesting.
The technology is quite well made, it measures different parameters such as CO2 levels, the typical temperatures, humidity etc. As for the device, there are two sensors, one module for indoors which you can place pretty much anywhere, however with the outdoor one you have to be quite careful. The fact that the device is not actually weather proof is ridiculous given the price. You have to download the app to be able to view any of the stats as opposed to a monitor that is supplied which would be a suggestion for the future.
I think the bit of kit is good and the information that it provides is quite decent but it is definitely expensive. Would I have spent my own money on this? No
From the moment of opening the box it is apparent that this is a quality, engineered product.
The setting up is very simple and easy to follow.
As a long time Netatmo fan, my only hesitation is that the units do occasionally disconnect from the WIFi router, in which case there is a hole in the data, which is a shame. The battery lasts for a few months, but I do wish there was a push notification that alerts you when the battery level falls to 20% or so.
This review is for the Netatmo weather station indoor and outdoor(wireless)
The product arrived well package and promptly as expected by amazon.
Prior to this product arriving I’ve not really looked in weather stations. I’m also a bit of tech geek so this was a great opportunity look at something fairly techie!. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this netatmo product.
Setting up the weather station is very simple by following the few steps. It also seems to work very well and appears to give accurate reading. The amount of information you get great! The Mobile app is also easy to use and simple.
I’ve not had any battery issues yet like others but then I’ve only had the item a few days so can’t comment on if that has been sorted or not.
You can also pick up a few accessories for this (rain gauge etc) which I may looking into a bit further.
Good quality product, well made!
I have all the sensors and it works well. Big lack is a display console. Making my own using a Raspberry Pi 4
For quite a while I have been eyeing up one of these weather stations to add to my smart home set up, so when this edition from market leaders for these products appeared for review I was excited to check it out.
Set up first and the process here will be very familiar to anyone who has purchased any similar smart home products. Download the app, connect the main base via bluetooth then enter your wifi details to set up that connection. This was pretty straightforward, especially since the outdoor module connects automatically to the main base. Inside element connects to the mains power via USB while the outdoor one takes two AAA batteries, likely the cause of some of the battery issues others have complained about. A strap is also provided to secure the outdoor module, while the built quality and design of both looks pretty neat.
Once set up, each of the elements reports to the app on temperature, noise, pressure, CO2 levels and humidity. This is combined to provide feels like scores and also a localised forecast only on a daily basis, though the ability to look back with greater granularity also exists. Integrations with Alexa allow you to query the current temperature and forecasts. A few other nice features in the app allow you to see other weather stations with their details while if you have the wind and rain gauges as well they come into the same app.
Overall, this is actually a pretty neat piece of kit – easy enough to set up, decent build and with a good app. While the predictive power of the app may be limited I can see this being pretty useful, hence from me it comes recommended.
I’ve always been interested in the weather in an amateur way. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that it’s a hobby as such. When I was offered to look at this Netatmo weather station, I was genuinely interested.
As I suffer with the heat terribly (due to an illness), I am keen to know how high the humidity is inside the house compared to outside. Temperature on its own is not enough to know how uncomfortable I feel. Humidity is just as important. A medium temperature can be uncomfortable if the humidity levels are high. If the humidity inside the house is a lot higher than outdoors then it’s time to open some windows.
This small weather station monitors the temperature, humidity, air pressure, CO2 levels and sound levels. Sound does seem a bit of an odd sensor but heck, it’s there if you need it. You get two modules, one for indoors and the other for outdoors. Extra modules are available for purchase.
The indoor module is powered by a USB power adapter (supplied). The outdoor module is powered by two AA batteries (supplied). How long these batteries last is something I can’t tell you as I haven’t had the kit for very long. There is talk that the battery life was poor but the manufacturer has cured this problem. Only time will tell.
The modules use your Wi-Fi setup to communicate. Setting this up is easy if you use their app. It uses Bluetooth to detect the indoor module and then the app can set your Wi-Fi parameters. It is possible to use a Windows PC if you prefer by downloading a file from their website. I did try this out but it kept hanging up.
Once everything is set up, you use their website to see the results. This allows the sensors to work 24 hours a day without the need to keep a computer switched on.
The instructions included with this weather station is not up to the job. It’s one of those pictorial manuals. It’s a great way around the multi-language issue but not informative enough in my opinion. A felt a little lost as to how to proceed at first.
Overall, this is a nice comprehensive weather station but at the asking price, I would expect better user instructions.
This is possibly the best weather station I’ve ever used and is well worth the money. This package includes the main indoor unit and a remote outdoor sensor. The indoor unit covers temperature, Relative Humidity, Barometric Pressure, CO2 measured in PPM (Parts Per Million) and sound level average over a 5-minute duration. The outdoor remote sensor covers Temperature, Relative Humidity, Barometric Pressure. I’m not sure how long the batteries 2 x AAA will last in the outdoor sensor but it only transmits at intervals so will have to wait and see. Other weather-related sensors can be added to your setup if required such as a rain gauge, Anemometer and secondary indoor sensors. In the very short video, I have the Taller indoor unit and the outdoor remote sensor together for testing purposes. I blew into both sensors which increased the Humidity reported by these units that I had registered to my account. The indoor unit that monitors CO2 levels also reported increased CO2 levels and took quite a while to return to Green. You can touch the top of the indoor unit to get an instant colour indicator of CO2 levels. There are users all around the world using Netatmo Weather Stations and by joining the community you can share your outdoor sensor information and access other users shared weather data in real-time via a zoomable map. I was so impressed that via my account I took advantage of the Netatmo Shop and purchased the Smart Rain Gauge and their Smart Anemometer. Netatmo is Alexa Compatible and once these additional items arrive I will be making a more permanent installation of this Weather Station. This is truly the Goldstar Standard for Weather Stations. Netatmo also has a range of wireless security camera’s, Smoke Detectors and energy control devices.
Well, so far so good! I’ve only had this week so I can’t comment on battery life of the ourdoor module, but it was really easy to set up and the app is fantastic. I love knowing how much CO2 there is in my lounge! Makes me open the windows more at least!
It’s great that it has temperature graphs so you can see the trends outside as well as the forecasts.
I can see how the rain gauge attachment would be really useful (kind of want to buy it!) and the wind accessory could be amazing for some businesses.
I loved the maps which are linked all the other devices across the world. It was fascinating to see where they are and where they not! It means you can also see the overall trends of temperatures around the world which is something I spent a lot of time exploring! I don’t know why but it was really interesting!
In terms of who should buy this, I can’t really think of anyone apart from very keen gardeners or maybe windsurfing clubs, sailing clubs, garden centres, maybe universities, or just some really keen meteorologists. It seems a bit overkill for the average person!
I found the strap that goes around the outdoor module really helpful. It meant I could wrap it around the drain pipe underneath the overhang on my garage – the simplest install ever.
Initially on opening the box, I thought that the set up instructions were a little sparse but as soon as you download the app it’s fantastic and guides you through. (Definitely works well with iOS anyway.)
If the outdoor module fails I’ll update.
SECOND UPDATE – MAY 2021: Having contacted Netatmo with regards to this issue, initial response was a little slow. However, following a few basic questions, and their looking at the stats, they confirmed that the unit was defective, and immediately provided a code to order a replacement FOC. Can’t say faire than that. I don’t know whether the issue has been addressed, but the replacement has a 2 years warranty, so I am now happy. The product is excellent, and so long as if there is a problem it gets resolved, that’s fine.
UPDATED: My original review (below) was from August 2019. Fast forward to March 2021. As has been reported elsewhere – a common problem – I am now experiencing this issue, which is that the outside unit now gets through batteries every c10 days, therefore rendering it useless. This is disappointing, and caused by – as I understand it, a faulty capacitor. Shameful, since there appears to have been no attempt to update the product, so what was 5 stars now reduces to 1. If this was an isolated case, i would put it down to bad luck, but it clearly isn’t!
To be honest, to begin with I was a little underwhelmed by this product. Not that I didn’t like it, think it was very good, but just didn’t fully appreciate the information that’s available using this weather station. It isn’t cheap though….
I already had an existing weather station (the type that consists of an outdoor and indoor unit, the indoor unit incorporating a superb display of inside / outside information. What that particularly has that I like, that this one doesn’t, is the display showing forecast (e.g. sun to cloud, sun to rain etc….) However, that is purely a single display unit, and not “smart”
What I will say is that I am still a little underwhelmed by the phone app. It’s okay, but not overly intuitive or easily enabling finding different data. Now the PC web=page, that’s a wholly different story. It’s absolutely superb, and this one IS intuitive and very easy to navigate. This is not that unusual tbh – often this way.
It seems nicely constructed, was very easy to set up. What I particularly like is the buckle / hook and loop strap (on the outdoor unit), which allowed easy attachment to a guttering down-pipe – doddle.
The outdoor unit seems quite well protected against moisture ingress, but time will tell. If I find anything to the contrary subsequently, I will update! I say this because there seems to have been several reports of moisture ingress. But as I say, I will monitor.
To summarise, a great product that is better than at fist appears to be the case. A little pricey though. It is also modular, you can add other parts (e.g. rainfall measure etc)
I have only had this weather station a few days and am, so far, very impressed. Set up was pretty straightforward. The only issue to mention is that when setting up the outdoor module the instructions say it will flash a green light. As the indoor module flashes on the side of the module I thought the outside one would do the same – it doesn’t it flashes through the base plate.
After that I hooked it up to my Netatmo Account and the readings were populated straight away. The indoor module provides a range of readings including temperature, relative humidity, air quality and even noise levels. I use an app called WeatherPro HD on my phone and I can link the Netatmo into that. The Netatmo app itself is well designed. You can also via the Netatmo website download a lot of information if you so wish.
I have seen a number of reviews on here about the outdoor module failing – obviously as I have only had this a few days I cannot comment on long term reliability, but if I have any problems in that regard I will update this review.
I’ve had a Netatmo weather station for a couple of years, and were so pleased that we bought one also for our son and daughter-in-law, along with a Netatmo smart central heating thermostat. They find it entirely useful, practical and effective – as do we.
One thing to note is that some of the lower starred reviews are likely from early versions of Netatmo’s firmware. The latest firmware has resulted in rock-stable products with long battery life. I find the weather station really useful and have just bought a rain gauge and anemometer to go with them.
Netatmo is a French company specialising in developing smart-home and other connected devices — founded as an independent company in 2011 it is now a division of the French Legrand group. The Netatmo Weather Station was the first product launched and has gained a good reputation over the years — the station is available in four different configurations on the same Amazon product page and I have the basic Indoor/Outdoor version. Although I was a little bit underwhelmed when I unpacked the two units, once I had got the system set up I became more impressed. The basic system consists of two small silver-coloured aluminium cylinders — the larger Indoor module is USB powered and is supplied with a suitable mains adapter; the smaller Outdoor module is battery-powered and is supplied with 2 AAA batteries which need to be fitted before use. The system was surprisingly easy to set up and once you have downloaded the Netatmo Weather app and powered up the two sensor units the app guides you effortlessly through the set up process — the most complicated thing is choosing your Netatmo account password! The app and the system are simple and intuitive to use — just as well as the written instructions are rather basic — with the app displaying indoor and outdoor data in a straightforward manner. The top half of the main display shows outdoors, with a five day weather overview midway, and indoor data is shown in the bottom section. The main menu and information sections are easily accessible and rotating the screen to landscape brings up the various graphs. The measurement readings are not displayed in real time but are updated every five minutes — however, tapping the top of the indoor unit gives an instant update. The sensors detect a mix of Atmospheric pressure, Temperature, Humidity, CO2 and Noise level — some more useful than others. There is an add-on rain gauge and and wind-speed anemometer — with kits including these features also available on this Amazon product page. At around one hundred and forty pounds currently from Amazon you don’t seem to get much hardware for your money — but once up and running the system works well for the price and I do like it a quite a lot. Be careful where you mount the outdoor module as other reviewers have reported problems — mine is undercover protected from direct rain and water but still able to register accurately.
The primary device is quite small in size. The external sensor is tiny and respectably better.
Quality of the devices build very well, and the packing box presentation is acceptable.
Simple to set up out the box, download the correct app, and it guides you through the process quickly and simply.
Adding to my Echo Show 5 was very straight forward, add the skill from Alexa app or webpage.
The Apps are charming, and on iPad is a beautiful display, with lots of details and information.
With Alexa it’s very dull, it would be nice to have an Echo Show display with some information. Rather than just Alexa telling you the O2 level, some development here would be very welcomed.
The instructions book is dreadful for such an item of this price — no written descriptions only pages of non-descriptive images, which don’t provide much guidance. Inside the box was a NETAMO advertising foldup which was beautiful colorful and looks professional, if the same effort was put into the product guide then would have been Five-star product.
For now, readings all look good. I’ll be monitoring the external unit’s battery, as from other reviews and comments they don’t last long.
In the box you get the mains/USB powered indoor module (the taller one) and an external battery-powered unit, a power supply unit, a set of AAA batteries, mounting hardware and a welcome guide. The overall, look and feel of the units are good, they appear well made.
I found the Netatmo Weather Station easy enough to install, the only slight hurdle was to check which way round the AAA cells fitted into the outdoor station – although there’s a small legend embossed on the unit. Connecting via the app was quick although according to it the outdoor module is only just connected with a 1 bar signal.
I installed the app on my Ipad and set up a Netatmo account and you are then guided through setup, there is an Android app and you can log into your information via your Windows PC. The app is intuitive and displays lots of useful information including temp, humidity, air quality etc. and there are international community weather maps plus other interesting features. In terms of accuracy, the measurements displayed are closely aligned to those on my other weather stations which I regard as reasonably precise.
One thing I do miss though is some kind of visual indication on the actual device that it’s functioning and that all is well. For example, in the indoor device, it would nice if you could set the LED to glow green when the temperature was within your preset parameters – it seems a bit of a waste that there’s no display on the unit, you have to consult the app although there’s Alexa integration which works quite well.
In summary, a good product with a decent app but I wish I wasn’t totally dependent on being able to view the app to get straightforward temperature information for example.
I’ve been very excited to have one of these for myself, since I’ve already had exposure to this in the past. I’ve previously set one up for my parents, and I know other people who own this.
I’ll review my set up, and then also talk about the one which I’ve previously set up.
The kit arrives in a box, which contains a power supply and USB cable for the indoor module, along with a smaller outdoor module powered by 2 AAA batteries.
The modules themselves are cases in brushed aluminium and have a very aesthetic look to them and feel like a good premium product which you wouldn’t mind having on show in the house.
The instructions are pretty easy to follow, and once you’ve registered with the website and set up to the wifi and paired up the units whilst they’re next to each other (important). Now you’re ready to go.
One thing to note is that the outdoor (and any other modules) seem to connect to the main indoor module via RF (not wifi), so they need to be reasonably close together and ideally have line of sight or blocked by as few walls as possible. I’ve got mine my indoor module in a bedroom, about 10 metres away from the outdoor module, with almost line of sight, round the corner from a window. Note the outdoor unit should be placed in the shade and out of the rain — it’s not water proof.
Note, there are no visual displays or devices included for you to be able to see any of this data. However, that is not the point
Once running, the outdoor module will on a regular basis send temperature data to the indoor module, which is hook up to the internet via wifi, sending up the data to the netatmo servers.
This is where the real fun begins
– You need to install the NetAtmo app (I have android, but there is an apple one too). Once installed and logged in, you are able to see the history of all your temperature readings, pressure, humidty etc of both the indoor and outdoor modules. It also can then provide a forecast of the weather over the coming days.
– It also integrates with IFTTT, so you can have things set up so if the temperature drops below a certain temperature, you could turn the lights blue (or more usefully, turn on an electric radiator in an outbuilding to prevent pipes freezing over).
– Over fun things include being able from the app to see the weather data from friends and family NetAtmo stations too (if they allow you).
– You can see your weather station and many other netatmo stations on the weather map (screenshot uploaded)
– You can also see your weather station on weather underground, which then provides the netatmo data as well as literally thousands of weather stations of other brands too.
In terms of durability. I can’t say much about this one since I’ve only installed it today, however I’ve had good experience with the one I did set up over about 18 months ago
In the early days, people had battery life problems with the outdoor unit, but a firmware update well over a year ago seemed to have fixed it for most people. The outdoor module at my parents is on its second set of batteries which still have about half left, so do expecting 6-12 months life would seem fair dependant on how far away your outdoor unit is from the indoor one.
That system as a whole has been pretty flawless, exception for a period of a couple of months when the NetAtmo data didn’t appear on weather underground, but that was a data issue between the two companies and not a fault of the unit, that has long since been resolved.
In summary, this is a great quality consumer weather station which looks great and is easy to set up, with good temperature readings. From my experience of older units they have proven to be reliable over time, and given the new one it of identical construction, I see no reason why this wouldn’t be either. I would highly recommend this for someone who wants a trouble free weather station. Definitely worth the 140 price tag at the time of review in my opinion.
I take a lot of notice of indoor air quality and weather forecasts for the better health of my other half, my pets who normally live outside and my soggy clay garden.
The main advantage of the indoor module is that you can get extra ones for different rooms. Humidity is the main factor I monitor as you can waste a lot of energy if the humidity is up to 70% and you really need to take action to reduce that. I can’t see the point of the carbon dioxide monitor though- you need warnings for formaldehyde from citrusy household cleaners and chipboard furniture.
The outdoor module (often reviewed as rusty, which is odd as the fridge magnet of doom says it is aluminium) must be placed in the shade and the dry, like in an open porch, and not on the table as in the video. The battery compartment seems to be well sealed if you tighten the screws, so I’m not sure why battery life gets so bad in some reviews (2 alkaline AAA 1.5V LR03). I’m not sure if the PM10 particulate measurement is really useful (that’s anything that could get past your nosehairs, it seems).
Apart from extra indoor monitors, the rain gauge seems a useful add on. I use a cheap conical plastic one and I can say that rainfall can vary a lot, even when it appears to be bucketing it down. I’m not sure that the wind monitor helps (I use the pine tree in my garden as a visual aid against the deciduous trees in other gardens- when it dances, it’s a strong wind.
My issue with outdoor weather stations is that you really need predictive information about frosts, high winds and heavy rain- it’s too late once it has happened. Similarly, indoors, you need to treat the air with dehumidifiers, air filters and aircon. units. These all come at a hefty price. I therefore have jogged along with cheaper and non remote monitoring equipment and weather apps so I can get the air drier and purer. For me, this system is the icing, not the essential cake.
1st item had to be returned due to a fault but was replaced straightaway and the new one is now set up and working fine! Dashboard is good and I can see myself enjoying this product going forward.
Always online giving you the exact temperature/weather here and now and you can access it whereever you are.
Nicely designed and packaged product. Alexa also has a little friend now who she can speak to and ask questions do win win. I love being able to monitor the weather away from home and see information about air quality and humidity.
If I have a criticism it would be that the app could be further developed as it feels a last gen.
I was given this as a birthday present so have no idea about value for money but I am very pleased with it so far – just need the rest of the kit for Xmas ….
ok – how cold was it last night? The only way to find out is with this piece of kit.
So far, so much fun. I’m really enjoying the information on our outside weather.
You can use other apps to get data from the kit.

This is my second weather station, my first was a display base unit, which was ok, but was not easy to understand. This is a massive leap forward, app based and so simple to setup and understand the data. I’ve ordered the rain and wind bundle today, I am very impressed. The CO2 alarmed with the main unit in our lounge, on investigation the logburner and ventilation was the cause, which probably explains why we were sleepy. Life saver definitely recommend. Update I’ve ordered the Rain and wind stations and an indoor additional sensor. Easy to add and excellent results. Very pleased with the completed setup
This is a simple and accurate way of staying updated on the weather situation.
Pros:
– looks nice
– easy to set up
– quite useful. Notifications about co2 force me off the coach to ventilate room. [I think I have a problem with ventilation in general, gotta get that fixed].
Cons:
– no display, even LED on the base unit lights up only on touch
– app is a bit weak, especially around graphs/data visualization. E.g. it’s not possible to overlay graphs to show multiple lines.
– round shape of external unit was not convenient for me. It would have been much easier if it was rectangular.
Excellent product – Easy to set up thru android phone app. However if you live in a modern home with silver foil insulation in the block cavity walls you will have difficulty getting a signal between the base unit and the outdoor module. Ideally you will have to use thru other substrates such as a window to get any further distance. So with this in mind you need to plan. the location of the modules. For me it would make it difficult to know whether the wind unit would work locating it on the roof of the house so I will await further reviews.
I love this gadget it works great with Alexa just ask what the temperature is inside or out or check the conditions at home. You can check while you are out and about as the app is easy to use and explains what everything is. It’s accurate with the temperature. So easy to set up took me about five minutes to set up and get it working with Alexa
A few problems with CO2 levels. Other than that its great.
Like everyone else, worked great for a year then drains batteries like a kid on a Tablet on Xmas day.
Doesn’t look like the company is interested in solving this problem to its loyal customers.
So don’t waste your money.
I’ve have now changed star rating as I’ve contacted them via twitter and have replaced the module free of charge!! Good communication via Twitter and problem hopefully resolved..
So far so good and works like a dream. I also bought an additional indoor module which adds another dimension. very easy to set up and if it continues to work as it is now, I’ll be more than happy. It’s also fun to compare readings from around my location via the netatmo map.
Great product, easy to set up and seems to work flawlessly with very accurate measurements. Can’t comment on the Customer Service side of things as I’ve had no need to get in touch, they don’t seem to have the best of reputations but hopefully I won’t have cause to find that out for myself!! Very happy with the Weather Station, integrates really well with my Weather Pro app, the Netatmo app itself is good, as is the web interface. I think for the money it’s easily the best value weather station out there.
This is a new venture for me but highly addictive, particularly if you are away from the station. I recommend thoroughly
Quando si parla di prodotti Netatmo, per me, non ci sono alternative! Di facile utilizzo, pratici e resistenti, il massimo dell’affidabilit.
Consigliati vivamente
I have the whole collection and love the product. The wifi does not have a huge range which can limit your positioning of each device. The Netatmo app is not the best but there are other apps which are compatible so choose one which suits you. It can become slightly obsessive!!! Love the map showing other users.
This weather station has worked really well since November 2015, but recently the outdoor module stopped sending data.
I assume it was just in need of fresh batteries, but after replacing them the outdoor module would not pair with the station. More worryingly, there was no flashing green LED.
Since the product is out of warranty, my partner – who is handy with electronics! – dismantled the outdoor module* and found moisture on the main PCB. After leaving it to dry overnight and re-assembling the LED started flashing and the unit paired easily. 🙂
* Two Torx T-8 screws deep down the holes near where the battery lid attaches.
Great product! Easy to setup, connect to WiFi and link to additional components!
I used to have a Davis Advantage Pro which of course features a nice display unit (but very expensive).
What put me off getting one of these is the fact there is no data display unless you keep looking at the app on your phone.
Then, I realised that it is compatible with my LaMetric Time Wi-Fi Clock for Smart Home which can display the unit readings in near real time (air pressure and rain graphs don’t seem to work so I will report as a problem).
I also got the optional Netatmo Rain Gauge for Netatmo Weather Station (but since installed it has not rained) along with the Netatmo Wind Gauge for the Weather Station but not sure yet for the best position.
So far it has all been working as expected but note the extra optional outdoor sensors come with no mounting hardware (both have a tripod type threaded socket on the base).
I also bought a TFA Dostmann 98.1114.02 Case For Sensor ITEM White 10.2x 9.5x 17.5cm to help get a more accurate outdoor reading plus protecting it more from the elements.
Easy setup (took me around 10mins to have it ready and measuring), works as promised and provides the measurements I expected.
It’s been really useful to keep the air in the house more “breathable” and recognise when it needs some venting. Looking forward to using it during Winter, which is when we really keep the house closed for a long time.
It does fall out of sync occasionally but it’s easily solved by plugging it in-out of the outlet. This only happened twice in a month.
The external station has been working for nearly a month on the batteries they provided so lifetime seems to be good.
So far, very happy with this purchase.
Love this! Also got wind and rain gauges… true weather geek! Best with MyNetatmo app and WeatherUnderground. Check out Fanhais, Portugal for my WeatherUnderground readings from the Netatmos!
I’ve had this for several years now, including the rain guage.
The kit and app are high quality and intuitive. Netatmo have done a lot to improve after sales customer experience as well as making spares available. When my outdoor module became unpaired, their team proactively reached out and provided guidance I needed to fix.
Seems to be very precise. Would be nice to have main module on batteries too, and to show yellow/red whenever it happens not just when touched.
was working great with no problems till the outdoor module failed for a second time but Alexandra from netatmo direct helped and sent me a replacement free of charge, Great service and nice to have backup from the makers.
There seems to be a problem with the outdoor module’s failing but its nice to know we can get help from netatmo.
Awesome family of products and services… Don’t hesitate. Combines nicely with Home Assistant.
Works very nicely once you have the offsets correctly . love the fact you can see it any were in the world were you have internet or mobile data .
Very pleased with the station. No problems. Great replacement for my previous statio
Excellent, been 100% reliable battery life is good. Using it with IFTTT to trigger bathroom fa
Just the most brilliant piece of kit. Installation instructions worked a treat and it’s great fun.
Great piece of kit. So simple to set up and we use it regular to understand the current local weather and conditions inside/outside our home.
Just love the build quality. This was a Christmas gift and would I have purchased this myself. At the price just about.
A wonderful Christmas present. It is elegantly design. I love the reading on demand. As my house is well wellproofed I.e. completely sealed the added bonus of CO2 sensor came in to play one night when I had been burning lots of tea lights and had shut up the trickle vents as it was very cold and windy. The sensor turned yellow and gave a warning sound too. I am new to this house so it was very helpful and I shall not make the same mistake again. The sensor aids me. It was very easy to set up and I have been promised the anonmeter for Mother’s Day.
I was slightly put off by some of the reviews of the Netatmo weather station equipment, but fascinated at the possibility of measuring the weather in our own neighbourhood. I ordered the weather station itself and soon added the rain and weather sensors. They were all very nice units – and with a couple of the mounts I soon had the rain and wind sensors operational. The instruction booklets that come with them could be a little clearer in places (mainly for the additional rain gauge) but quite honestly it didn’t take too long to set up.
There are a lot of settings that you can tweak in the app (such as compensating for siting the wind gauge at a lower than optimal height). It is fascinating to see the rainfall and wind patterns and I reached the stage of wanting a day of heavy rain to see the results! So far battery usage seems negligible and I’ve had no problems with the wifi connection (admittedly since we have a new house there is good wifi coverage through the walls). I’d recommend the Netatmo weather station and add-ons whole-heartedly if you have an interest in the weather. Having the opportunity to contribute to the Netatmo Weather Map and Weather Underground is a lovely bonus.
Excellent, I’ve purged the final sencer that I can on the whole system I have got. The information that my weather station is giving me I would say it’s between 80% to 90% accurate and it’s never let me down.
Really easy to set up and easy to use app. Bit of a weather geek so just love it!
A first class piece of kit which was very easy to set up and install (after you read the instructions!). I am really looking forward to adding to it with a rain gauge and an anemometer!
Love it.. easy to set up. Accurate and a superb app so you can see your data wherever you are
Excellent quality piece of kit and so far like the software / presentation provided. Have now added the wind and rain modules. Love the option of seeing other Netatmo users basic weather info worldwide!
My husband got this as a Christmas present from our son and we love it. The readings are very accurate and it is good to see outdoor temperatures as well as how they feel with the wind chill effect. It all stored numerically and graphically.
These are well known for having battery problems which drain the outdoor modules in a couple of weeks.
The first one I bought in October (which was a warehouse deal) suffered from this problem getting through batteries in 1-2 weeks.
However I liked the product as it is interesting and useful (I have it connected to a heater via IFTTT and a WEMO plug to maintain a minimum temperature in an outdoor building) so I bought another which wasn’t a return in late November 2016.
The new one works just fine. In over a month the batteries still report being full.
So if you have been holding back buying one of these because of the battery problems my experience would say they have probably fixed them.
Great weather station with a super Free App to view all your data (+ you can view data from anyone else who shares their outside information, which seems to be a great number of people all over the world) – Fantastic purchase, have 4 internal sensors, outside sensor with wind and rain – really pleased
Having spend along time looking at weather stations for my wife for christmas i kept coming back to this one. I have to say the moment you open the box it screams quality. I found setting it up a dottle and the app is very good. I can’t comment on battery life just yet as we ahem only had it working for just over a week but even if the batteries need changing they are very easy to do.
I think it is gadgets like this that are the future, controlled by your phone with a quality feel. I have brough all the modules for the weather station and they are all brilliant, not cheap but then i have a saying buy cheap buy twice!
If you are looking for a weather station then this is great, discreet in the garden no big instruments to put up and looks sleek in the home.
Beautifully made – accurate and simple to set up and use.
Basically this is an expensive option for monitoring the weather but one that is, on balance, worth it. I have no issues of poor battery life with the outside modules, and the readings appear to be accurate and informative. An added bonus for me has been the stations ability to sync with my Netatmo boiler controller.
Muy buena estacin meteorolgica, funciona perfectamente y nunca tiene problemas de conexin wifi, tiene muchas alarmas personalizadas adems de un diseo muy elegante
Have had the thermometer for 6 months now. Very useful to be able to see how cold it was during the night via a web page. Main snag is that the batteries in the outside unit only last for a few days. I tried using expensive top-of-the-line extra power ones, but it makes little difference, so I now use rechargeable batteries. Recommended if you are OK with changing the batteries (which is easy) every few days.
It seems to work fine, easy enough to install does what it says it will do. had no problems setting up the device and using it.
have nothing negative to say about the product if I was being super critical I could point at the price.
Great Simple to set up, really well made. Connecting to the phone very straight forward. I thought it was a bit expensive … but you get the qulity you pay for.
Very happy
I purchased this to monitor the air quality and to try and get accurate weather reports!
This has been more reliable than the met office app for the forecasts and has a great feature to enable you to look back at the weather from the past.
this also provides warnings for poor air quality and can be set up to notify you via the app.
great bit of kit which has made me want to buy some of the additional modules to monitor wind and rai
Very good product does everything as expected. All I would say is that the accuracy of the sensors depends on how carefull the purchaser is on installing them.
A nice product, easy to set up, excellent user interface and secure data. However the outdoor module stopped working after a couple of months. I’m in the process of having it replaced
After my earlier experience of receiving a reconditioned unit in a disgusting condition containing corroded batteries and previous owner’s email details, I eventually went ahead and bought a full price Netatmo. It was easy to set up and is functioning correctly so pleased with my purchase.
I purchased this weather station about 6 weeks ago and we are very pleased with it. The outdoors sensor is about 20m away in the garden, attached to a shed and in the dry shade, which is key for proper readings. As the signal has to travel through aluminium doors, radio signal strength is just about enough (1-2 bars) for the sensor to stay connected to the station.
I love the messages and triggers the Netatmo sends to our phones and my watch. I also use the Apple Watch Comfort complication, which gives me the latest readings for indoor and outdoor measurements. The CO2 measurements are also more helpful than I initially anticipated. A properly aired room makes a difference in the evening or when you have guests around.
I also purchased the Rain Sensor about 4 weeks ago, which is a welcome addition and has so far been very reliable. I purchased a camera tripod wall fixing for it, which is attached to a fence post. We recently have had some flooding in our area and locals were very grateful for my up-to-date rain gauge measurements, which I published to a WordPress site using one of the free widgets. Since there is a delay between rain falling and flooding to take effect, the measurements were of help to the community. I realise other weather stations can also provide this, but the integration with Netatmo is better, in my view.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase of this and may consider adding the wind gauge at some stage, although I do find this a little pricey.
For years I have used one of the LCD weather stations with an outdoor sensor. The one with the little man who carries an umbrella if it is raining, or is in swim-shorts when it’s warm and sunny. Over the years the outdoor sensor needed new batteries almost monthly, its grey plastic exterior was very grubby, and the indoor display just looked so old-fashioned. I wanted something new, modern, and that interacted with my smart phone.
The Netatmo does just that. Although I have a degree in weather-related science, and work in the field of natural hazards, I have no professional needs for this product – I just want to know whether it’s a shorts day or I need to take an umbrella out with me. So any inaccuracies of the sensors are of little concern – the relative measurements are ample for me. I really enjoy looking at the stats over time, although I do feel they are presented in rather a bland way – I think they could be improved, and hope to see improvements in future versions of the app.
Negative: the product support has been slow. I want to add my partner as a guest so he can use the app on his phone (without needing to log-in as me). I can see options to do this on the website, but only if I invite him via Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn – he does not use any of these. There’s an option to invite via e-mail, but clicking it takes me to a dead, blank screen. I contacted support on 29 March, and got a response on 7th April from someone who clearly hadn’t properly read my question. I replied and have not yet heard back 4 days later.
I didnt obtain this from Amazon but I thought that as a keen amateur meteorologist for whom accuracy and precision is important my views might be of interest.
It comprises a small outdoors unit that measures temperature, humidity, and air quality, and a larger indoor unit that monitors temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, CO2 levels, and sound. The battery powered outdoor unit communicates by radio waves with the indoor unit, which is powered by a USB cord that connects to a computer or a supplied UK plug, and which transmits data approx. every 5 minutes from both units to servers at Netatmo HQ via your router.
Unlike some other reviewers, I had no problem with communications, despite the fact that the indoor unit was located in a part of the house separated by several walls/doors from a standard BT router, and similarly from the outside unit. Your data can then be accessed on the Netatmo website by computer, or on a mobile phone/tablet via a downloadable app.
One of the few bad things about this device is that the instructions in the box are poor. The instructions on the Netatmo website [including a manual you can download] are somewhat better, but still minimalistic. Even how to put the batteries in the outside unit is not clear.
With everything set up you need to register on the Netatmo website, and download the setup wizard. This process triggers the downloading of the latest firmware to your unit. During the setup you need to provide your location so that your station and its readings will appear on the Netatmo world map [only your street address is visible, and in the Settings you can opt out of being visible], and even more importantly to establish your height so that the pressure readings will be corrected to sea level; dont rely on the location that Netatmo thinks you are at but choose the option to key in your postcode [or better still your known altitude] otherwise the pressure readings will be wrong [you can check them with those on the BBC weather forecast for your postcode].
The website/App is well designed and displays all your data in numeric and graphical form. Enthusiasts can download the raw data between any chosen timepoints in csv or xls format to determine max/min values, and process and plot data.
You can also access data from every other Netatmo device that is publically displayed, either via the Netatmo website or on the Weather Underground [most of the WU stations in the UK are Netatmo units]! This not only provides fascinating and useful realtime information on the weather all over the world, but the remarkable consistency in the readings at neighbouring sites suggests that these relatively cheap instruments are highly consistent.
But how accurate is the data? Here is what I have found from comparing the data from my Netatmo unit with that of my own precision thermometers and from other reliable data sources such as BBC and Met Office:
Temperature
– Steady state readings from my own Netatmo unit [both indoor and outdoor] showed no significant difference [ie. within 0.2o] compared to precision thermometers costing hundreds of pounds.
– There was generally high agreement with local Netatmo stations on WU, indicating that Netatmo units have consistently high precision. However, substantial variations were sometimes observed, in particular high readings at some stations when it was sunny, emphasizing the importance of proper outdoor location [mine is in a Stevenson Screen]
– A surprising problem is that there is a significant lag when temperatures change rapidly, requiring more than 1hr to fully equilibrate to the correct reading. Thus, when temps are rising rapidly readings will be too low, and when falling rapidly readings will be too high. On most days this problem is insignificant, as shown by the fact that the average max. and min. temps recorded by my Netatmo outdoor unit throughout Feb 2016 were within 0.2o of precision meteorological max. and min. thermometers.
Humidity
– I have no independent measures of humidity but the readings given by my Netatmo unit were on ave. within 3% of both the BBC/Met Office predictions for my location, and the readings from a local weather amateur site which uses more expensive instruments.
– Other local Netatmo sites on WU showed much more variation than with temperature, one being stuck at 100% on most days, and another consistently reading 30% lower than BBC values and other sites. There was a general tendency for readings at other Netatmo sites to be too high especially on wet days, probably because these units were exposed to the elements and had accumulated moisture internally. This again emphasizes the importance of proper location, in a sheltered spot, ideally a Stevenson Screen.
Pressure
– The readings from my Netatmo unit [corrected to sea level] consistently showed no significant difference [<1millibar deviation] from BBC/Met Office predicted values and from the actual values recorded at a local Met Office site.
- Most other local Netatmo sites on WU showed similar accuracy, although one or two had consistent deviations of a few millibars. Whether this is because of variation in units or because the owners had not set the elevation correctly to give sea level values is not known.
CO2 levels
- I have no way of checking this, but the readings given by my Netatmo unit were believable, and were very sensitive to the number of people in a room, for how long, and whether the door/window was open
Noise
- The unit clearly detects and records most ambient noises you can hear.
Air quality
- Apparently this is gathered from local government monitoring stations, so is probably the least accurate/useful piece of data unless you happen to live right next to such a station. Also, exactly what is measured is unclear.
Overall conclusion
For the price these units are remarkable. The temperature, pressure, and humidity readings are as accurate as those provided by professional equipment costing thousands of pounds.
The only negative points are the poor instructions, the temperature lag problem [which is only likely to be noticeable in extreme weather conditions], and the fact that the acquisition of data is entirely dependent on the Netatmo company keeping its website running and remaining in business. Therefore, to be sure of keeping your data make sure to download it!
Loves this, have had it running for over a month or so. It does exactly what I thought it would do, gives a good accurate reading both inside and outside the house. Love being able to see what is happening when I’m not at home and great to see how it changes throughout the day and night.
Works great at the moment. Would like to be able to rename the Outdoor unit as something else in the App as it is located in the least important room at the moment.
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. It’s made him very happy. He loves it so much he bought the rain water attachment this week. I don’t think it really matters that much how exactly accurate it is (as other reviewers seem hung up about.) It is a gadget for nature geeks. Also good at checking when children returned home in middle of night and when they went to bed as records noise! Feels like spying!
Just love this. Very simple to set up. Great to work with and great to use
Very easy to set up in fact it’s so easy the instructions are in pictures, the weather station has a great finish and is a little longer than a tea spoon. The station gives out loads of information easily readable on my iPhone, iPad and my Mac. An unexpected bonus was when I logged onto the netatmo web site I can see other users of the weather station across the world.
Great product, have become totally addicted to it and am checking the weather even when I am at work
Home station needs to be permanently pluged in, which is annoying (no battery option). Otherwise ok.
A great weather device for those of you that want to monitor your local surroundings in doors and out. I have added the rain meter and an extra sensor too. Given the price I like the system, however I do feel that the web app could be better or more feature rich. Getting out of the box and setting up is very easy indeed, if you have other apps it’s great to see your device listed in such apps as Meteo Weather Pro.
The great benefit of not having to configure port forwarding to see results not he net is superb too. It really is a plug and play system gives good results for any budding weather enthusiast. You can even take it a step further and publish instant notifications via push alerts using the If This Then That IFTTT service as the Netatmo Weather is part of the service. I did buy the system when it was on offer and although awaiting the wind sensor can say that given the full price of any / all of the kit I would only buy it on the offer price.
I do have another system from a german company that is a data logger too and records to the minute intervals. Both systems do suffer the inaccuracy of calibration. The box states what resolution and so forth but when you set it all up and leave them inside you’d expect to see almost identical figures for humidity and temperature across all devices. This aside it’s good enough for a starting kit.
One real negative is the strap for the outdoor module. The strap will secure to many objects, however the sensor merely slots onto the strap and could easily be knocked off – this would be bad given the price of the individual sensors. The company have definately gone down the route of making the packing and the items very high end Apple looking. Should you buy the rain meter you’ll need a good mount too. It does easily blow off given the strong winds we’ve had.
This is the second Netatmo weather station I bought – can’t recommend it highly enough. The ability to automatically store data about so many parameters is amazing. It also looks nice around the house and most people can’t tell what it actually is. My personal favorite is the CO2 sensor, based on which I now know when to open the windows to let fresh air in.
I have seen some poor reviews of this product, but I have to say that this is a great bit of kit, simple to install, looks great, excellent app and website and accurate data.
The interface is slick on the app and clear to understand, though I can’t help feeling that the station overplays it’s indoor role to the detriment of outdoors. The soon to be added wind gauge should fix that however. This replaced an ageing weather station (Fine Offset) which was reliable and I’ve not been disappointed so far. It will talk to Wunderground, though via Netamo directly.
I really like the Netatmo and the weather info it gives. Indoors and outdoors. Gives the impression it will last a long time.
Works with IFTTT and your data can also be shared with weather underground.
Setup was not working well with Bluetooth on iPhone. I had to plug into Mac and use the software to configure. It was easy then.
Expensive but good quality, and awesome design. Very easy setup ! All over the price is high but at least so far, the quality justifies it.
Very awesome! This product is great and let’s you know exactly what is going on with the weather at any time.
I use it mostly in the mornings to see what the weather is like outside – I then decide what my attire for the day will be…I don’t even have to open the curtains! If you love the weather and love data this is the product for you!
Good product, and great fun, just wish they would bring out the wind sensor!
Fantastic product. Bought it for my property in Spain to remind me how nice the weather is whilst I watch the rain pour down in the UK.
Temperature and CO2 monitors are extremely useful.
Great device for armature meteorology. It measures pressure, sound, CO2, temperature and indoor humidity every 5 minutes and plots them on a graph- makes for interesting reading. It also comes with an outdoor module which monitors outdoor temperature and humidity and graphs them in the same way. It then uses all this data to predict the weather which is has done quite well to press.
I have this hooked up through IFTTT so when CO2 rises above limits set in the app my Lifx light blink etc. The possibilities are truly endless :).
