This is an unbelievable product for the money. We had a company fit them so I can’t comment on the ease of installation but the picture quality is superb. We live in a rural area so its pitch black at night but the night vision is as clear as it is in the daytime. We bought 3 to cover the areas we required. I would not hesitate to recommend this product. The App is also very easy to use. All in all very satisfied
I can readily recommend this security camera for around your house, to give you security in the garden, side gates, around the garage etc. It has a very clear picture night and day, has a sensitive motion detector and is easy to set up with a decent long lead to the power supply. However, I would not suggest that suitable for a front door as the voice intercom is limited. Does what it says on the tin, would recommend.
I have a couple of these cameras, they do their job and keep me posted on any activity on the surrounding areas. The problem comes with the sensitivity of the motion detection, it raises way to many insects or rain events. There are additional packages for testing the AI recognition but you must pay for those. I might give them a try.
A good quality very solid well made camera , with good sound and video , it was quick and easy to set up with no connection issues …. it is now installed and set up working well linked up with Alexa with no problems , the most surprising thing is the quality of the sound , I have a few different cameras for different things and this has by far the best sound quality.

This is so far the best wifi outdoor camera I got, setup was straight forward and easy, just add your camera on the Netvue app and follow the onscreen instructions. The streaming video with sound was brilliant during day and night, it caught every odd motion and alexa would say MOTION DETECTED at (your camera name)!!
Tips: Just reformat your new ex-FAT micro SD card to FAT32 before insert to your camera, otherwise it won’t recognise the SD card.
The connecting to my aged BT Hub wifi was more of a challenge, as this is basic level BT wifi only offered in a rural setting. Initially this was causing much annoyance as the SAD tune kept playing when set up was nearly there. However a Live Chat with Anne from Netvue pointed me in the direction of using a Hotspot (i.e 2 mobiles) to complete the setup, then once done changing the settings to use the BT Home Hub. Easy as peasy.
It is my intention to locate the Camera on the side of my garage covering the driveway and front entrance mostly(once heavy rain has stopped) With this in mind and due to the short length of the cables (i.e Power mostly) I purchase a 10m DC extension Cable 2.1mm/5mm M to F connector and small junction box. Also an additional wifi extender. But initially tried it out in my porch, and found it to be very good on detection, sound and picture quality.
Seriously considering another camera for further coverage outside, hoping to catch the local wildlife like badgers (digging up our bulbs in planters!!!!) fox and deer.
Would recommend this as an affordable camera for simple cctv coverage.
Nov update – did buy another 3 units and in the process of setting up. Bought 64 GB SD cards on offer for these. While trying to re-site my original, unit when offline and would not restart no matter what i tried. Contact Netvue live chat and problem solved within 2 minutes (you have to remove the SD card to restart DOH!). 5 star Customer Service, 5 Star product. Could not recommend highly enough.
Straight away can say setup easier for sure (do prior to fix on wall so not need to be up + down ladder all the time) once up in place the quality of picture was great , night vision is above average too Motion detection reaction time/area of scan far better
Also when contact customer service about cloud storage etc, be instantly impressed the advisor spoke with was polite & very professional & answer everything i needed to know & explained in full details + yet also as easily be understood by anyone from average joe to proffessional installer.
Haven’t tried the Alexa link yet but i am sure it will work fine, Just like the rest does I would certainly recomend it to whoever there is looking for great all round security camera at good value price has all qualities can ask for with good advisory back up too & that’s hard to find !
The camera provides a great daytime picture and equally good infrared night time view. Installation is relatively straight forward – use 6mm drill. The power lead is 3m and has a sealed plug 12v transformer – fortunately this was sufficient for me, the only tricky bit being threading the thin lead through the wall.
The motion detector has a sensitivity adjustment on the app. I found that flies passing the infrared camera at night did trigger an alert but these are easily dismissed in the app (no audible alerts in the app that I’ve found which would be welcome).
The live camera feed is good as is the two way audio which has an understandable short delay.
Overall, great price for a very good camera that’s easy to install with good app.

I use the Camera for home security…. been burgled twice. Very impressive night vision, motion detection, HD recording, photo mobile phone notifications when Camera detects motion, like door opening. Also once micro SD card is installed it records on that and also you can then record footage on your mobile phones memory and storage. You can keep and store the screenshots from notifications, on your mobile too. Added option of remote internet storage so if burglar decided to remove and take away camera, you’d still have footage on your mobile and on the remote internet storage.
Great mobile phone app. Can access Camera footage on computer/laptop through Alexa.

1. very easy installation. You need to download the app, register an account – simple!
2.it’s very easy configuration – with WIFI or you can connect your camera through Ethernet cable if you prefer. There is manual included in the box and ‘how to configure your camera’ manual step by step in the app. Very simple!
3. when you’ve done the installation to your choosen place and you are finally logged in, app will never log you out of your account I mean until you’ve decided to but I don’t see any point of doing that.
4. Detection motion is little harder to set. On high sensitivity will take a motions even of a flies and on very low sensitivity there would be a gap in the video. When you set the right sensitivity there is no problem!
4. Storage: You can choose whether you want to pay a little monthly fee so everything will be stored on the Cloud or you can insert MicroSD card.
AND I have to say that the quality of the photos and videos is EXCELLENT!

I have had a lot of cctv cameras but this is one of the best. The camera is solidly built and shows to be really good quality. The accessories that are included i.e drilling template/allen key are also the perfect addition to ensure the camera is up and running quickly and with no issues. I have used the ethernet cable as my area is prone to poor wifi. The picture quality is excellent in both and night modes. The sound mode is a definite plus as not many camera utilize this feature, so very useful for use around the front door to keep an eye on visitors. Overall this is a suprb camera and nice looking too.
Great reasonable priced camera .easy to connect to wifi but can also be ethenet connected.clear picture and sound quality. I can view when im away from home with ease . You can adjust the motion sensor so you dont have it picking every little movement up, volume is also adjustable. You will need a memory card or a subscription to motion video cloud if you want to record . Instructions are easy to follow.
The camera was installed on the house in March 2020 covering most of the front garden and front driveway, Video coverage is good using WiFi. Lost the WiFi signal to this camera at the beginning of July. Contacted Netvue regarding the problem. The solution to repair the fault came within about an hour thanks to Anna from Netvue technical help who gave me a straight forward solution to resolve the problem. The picture / video quality is excellent along with clear sound – you can also talk back which is a great feature!
Motion detection is brilliant and you can adjust the settings to suit your needs.
The Day and night vision works automatically unless otherwise set and the quality of the footage is unreal for the price.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to secure an area or property, it ticked all the boxes and I will definitely be purchasing more for other areas around my home.
Delivery was very fast and when ordering this product I was able to purchase a memory card and extension cable which were both recommended be the supplier which made life so much easier as didn’t have to shop around.
The extension cable is brilliant, ensuring the I could reach the area needed with limiting the options.
Having spent 2 years struggling with a different security camera, which cost twice as much and with similar facilities but much more complicated setting up (and resetting) process and software, I decided to try this security camera instead. I have been very impressed. It is easy to set up, the app is easy to use, the video quality is good, and is also easy to use with Alexa. Haven’t tried the cloud subscription service yet, but plan to do so once am fully familiar with the features. Note, the cloud service is no where near as expensive as a previous reviewer indicated (This previous review indicates it is $50 per year per camera, but the present price is a lot less at $20, and cheaper still if subscribing for more than one camera).
Easy to install and set up. The motion detection is a bit of a pain and requires adjustment constantly as it is very sensitive to rain in night vision mode, that’s my only complaint.
Picture quality great. Worthwhile getting a memory card for replays.

This is my first Netvue camera. I wanted a camera that integrates with Alexa for viewing live footage on my fire TV and Echo Show.
It arrived on Prime delivery within 24 hrs of ordering.
The camera casing is a quality build and feels robust in the hand.
It packs with a 3 meter power lead, fixing screws, plugs, a small Allen key for altering it’s axis for maximum field of view and a waterproof shroud to protect the cable into the back of the camera.
The instructions for installation were clear and concise and involved downloading the netvue AP and scanning the bar code on the camera using the AP.
The camera was recognised immediately and after inputting my WiFi password it connected seemlessly to my router.
A few more simple steps and it was soon linked to my Alexa account.
It can be used with an sd card to record and capture footage locally or Netvue offers a subscription service to its Cloud service.
The image produced by the camera is HD quality and it gives a wide field of view.
The 2 way audio is clear and crisp and is an extremely useful function when dealing with callers to your front door.
The camera works well in low light and gives a decent picture in darkness with its IR capability. Please note IR won’t work at night through glass windows and needs to be externally mounted.
The settings in the AP allow you to view and share video and photos captured on the sd card by email and Whatsap Instagram etc.
The settings allow you to set motion detection notifications on and off and alter its sensitivity to avoid false positives from insects etc.
It connects instantly to my Echo Show from voice command and I am pleased to have it for security reasons and to see and speak to callers without opening the front door.
The quality of the camera and at an extremely affordable price makes it a winner for me. I will be purchasing more and can highly recommend
Bought 2 of these, one for front one for rear of house. They exceed expectation and work really well providing excellent view day and night. Only slight downside is heavy rain drops can trigger alert.
Added long power lead extension cable to enable easy and neat wiring to convenient indoor power socket. Biggest challenge was drilling hole through exterior (stone) wall of victorian house. Everything else – connection, mounting, and software was easy.
Beware some broadband routers operate on twin 5 and 2.5 wifi frequency’s. These cameras operate solely on 2.5htz wifi band so I needed to ask my broadband provider (Talktalk) to set up two matching wifi addresses. Thence simply linked the cameras to the 2.5 frequency/router address. May sound complicated but is very straight forward.
In summary – good quality, great value, highly effective system to add to a home, front and back for less than 100.
Easy to follow instructions and straightforward to set up, good idea to test it first as recommended. I had no issues. Quality of picture is good especially in HD – numberplates easily seen.
Very disappointed about lack of Windows App, though. Phone/Android app works well. Sound is a bit patchy

2. If the camera moves, it seems to cause the image feedback to freeze at times but it’s meant to be stationary so not a big problem.

For me the only problem with this camera is the motion detection. Seems to work when it feels like it. As I want to record all the time it isn’t a problem for me but would be nice to be able to use it when I am away from home to keep an eye on the place. Easy enough to use and figure out.
The picture quality is brilliant, sharp image and good colour.
I am using it to capture wildlife in the garden so the cloud storage isn’t important to me. The images sent to my phone and Alexa telling me something is out there is perfect.
The only downside to it is that it does not take power over ethernet (POE) so needs a separate power cable.
Really good quality camera, set up is straight forward and even if it doesn’t connect to your router straight away clear instructions make it easy to work through.
Need a power supply where you are likely to set up so may need to order an extension lead when ordering but took under an hour to set up, drill and fit in situ and get the camera up and running.
Will definitely be returning to Netvue when the time comes to purchase additional security cameras.
Setup was very straightforward indeed, and over a period of 5 months, they have proved very stable – but I do use an ethernet connection rather than WiFi. As has been said elsewhere, you need a big drill to get cables through the wall, but at least the cables are well hidden behind the mount once installed.
As someone who works as a TV cameraman, I can say that the picture quality from these cameras is stunning for the price, and very good at night time. All in all, I’m very pleased with the purchase – but I don’t think the deal would be so good if I needed the annual subscription, hence the “1 star reduction”.
For the money this is a great little camera. Build quality seems very good. Quite heavy and feels well made. Easy to setup and picture quality is good. I would give it 5 stars but one thing that I don’t like is the motion detector will not detect again for 5 minutes once triggered. To get more from this camera you really need a Micro SD card or pay a subscription (not that expensive). Overall I’m happy with purchase.

Connects to your phone and you get motion alerts… may need to play around with the sensitivity a bit, as, as night, every time a moth flies past I get a notification. (Remember to set Night on your phone, to mute all notifications).
You can see live feed via your phone, and press the mic button to talk, so if you put it near your door, you can chat to the caller.
These are great for the price… fully recommended!
Needed a security camera which would work without an Ethernet cable after some searching chose this Netvue unit. It is relatively compact and feels solid/ well built. After downloading the Netvue app, setting up the WiFi link next to the router and inserting a micro-as card in the space of two minutes we were set to go. Installation was easy 3screws and a power supply- the image was adjusted live using the app. The image quality is excellent day or night. At night it is picking up and recording bats flying around. Use the sensitivity feature to reduce these notifications if required. It also picks up the local sounds which is interesting. I have chosen to record to the card which I can review whenever I require using the app. A great unit for the price.
The picture quality is great and night mode great when it works – we found that the camera was not switching automatically to night mode at first so Netvue sent us a replacement. Dealing with their customer service team (we spoke to Anna) was very easy using the online chat function of their website. Anna followed up with several emails and eventually sent us a replacement device free of charge.
Motion detection is good, but not perfect. If you want the device for proper security reasons, it would be worth investing in the Smart Motion Detection feature (done via subscription from the app or website). As it is, we have stuck with the regular motion detection which can be a bit sensitive (e.g. to bushes blowing in the wind) – but this serves its purpose for us. The two-way audio is good.
I bought two cameras. They are easy to install. It provides an excellent movent detection alert every time. It works well with wireless connection but make sure that the wifi signal is good. If the signal is poor use an ethernet connection. Night vision is clear. Microphone picks up all sounds clearly. The only drawback is not able to view on desktop PCs and Mac as there is no software yet available. However, for most practical purposes viewing mobile devices will be sufficient.
The Daylight and Night time images are also very good.
The camera microphone is good and clear.
And installation took me less than 30mins. This was straight forward following the instructions provided.
But….
The speaker is very quiet, even with the volume turned up.
And my main issue with this camera is that you are only able to use it with the NetVue application.
You can not use it with another camera software suite.
If the ability for RTSP or even HTTP was opened up for the Camera, it would have gotten 5 stars.
If I’d had know I wasnt able to use this camera with my ZoneMinder install, I wouldnt have bought it.
If you just want one camera with an app, it is worth the money.
Else if you want an IP camera to add to your existing setup I’d look elsewhere.
This is now the 2nd camera that I have purchased and it is good value for money and works well. Set up is quick and the picture quality is good. I like that fact that you can filter the area for movement detection, but I still get a lot of false triggers due to birds flying past the camera. The AI motion detection cloud service may well solve this, but at the moment the false triggers are not causing a major problem. The support line is response and has dealt with my questions well. I set it up with Alexa and it notifies me when movement is detected, but there is a variable delay and it’s easier just to have notifications on my phone. It would be great if there was a PC/Mac app to allow viewing, so that I could see the cameras all the time on a monitor.
This is my second camera. My first camera is mounted outside my daughters front door in Dundee as she was having trouble with some rowdy neighbours. It has been there for six months and worked flawlessly.
Since the camera was fitted she has had no trouble so it appears to be working as a deterrent and also gives me peace of mind as i can check footage remotely from Edinburgh via my phone if there is anything she is concerned about.
I am so impressed with this camera i have bought a second for myself. I am going to mount it on the side of my house as someone keeps nicking my planters.
Anyway the good things about these cameras
1. They appear to be well made there is a nice rubber seal around the cover for the micro sd card.
2. The infra red night vision is very clear and has good range.
3. Motion detection, you can set the area to be covered and also the sensitivity.
4. You do not have to use cloud storage. I am using a 64g micro sd card you can select these options in settings.
There are a couple of things that could be better though.
1. The sound although clear seams to have some kind of clipping going on. When there is a loud noise the sound
cuts out. This might be something that can fixed with an update but the mic is very sensitive and can pick up speech from quite a distance.
2. The app which you download to your phone to view your footage has worked perfectly until a recent update. It still works but now sometimes when you open the app it takes ages to display the camera. Again this is something that can be fixed with an update.
I have had a few ip cameras and also a setup using an NVR, but after discovering the NetVue cameras they are so easy to set up you can have everything going to your phone you can also share access to your cameras with others i can live with the little niggles until they are fixed.
Does exactly what it says on the tin with a nice clear image. Adjustable motion detection sensitivity.
I bought mine as an Amazon warehouse deal and obvs this was a return. Nothing wrong with it BUT I suspect that the returner got caught out by the problem of setting the WifI up. It only works on 2.4 Ghz which is fine because nearly all WiFi routers are 2.4Ghz or are 5Ghz with a 2.4Ghz back up channel. The problem is that if you have an Android device that works on the 5Ghz channel and you try to set the camera up with it, it refuses to allow the camera to connect to the 2.4Ghz channel even if it has the same SSID as the 5Ghz channel. I nearly gave up too, but tried my iPad which also is connected at 5Ghz but happily allows the camera to attach to the 2.4Ghz channel. Bingo! The moment its connected up, the Android app then works perfectly too! A bug that needs fixing Netvue.
Other than that, get an SD and and you can review footage without having to go online. I can imagine that uploading all that video will cane a Broadband connection unless you have FTTP.
This is the fourth Netvue camera I have purchased via Amazon (2 indoor and 2 outdoor cameras) due to the ease of set up of the equipment, value for money, the high quality images they produce and the excellent customer service they provide.
On unpacking the equipment, the first thing you will notice is the ‘feel’ and quality, which was surprising given the price. Good packaging etc, indicates a manufacturers confidence in a product in my opinion.
Setting up my first camera was fairly straightforward, although I used the online customer service to help me when the wi-fi didn’t recognise the equipment (my mistake!).
The images are sharp, clear and have very good colour reproduction.
The cameras are very sensitive, so I would recommend lowering the sensitivity to around half to avoid the camera being triggered due to airborne dust, spiders and flies etc.
Another good feature of the software is being able to limit the area of surveillance, this eliminates the chances of cats etc setting it off.
My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to increase the size of the base plate that screws into the wall are a little further away from the hole that is needed to pass the cables (which can be hard wired via an Ethernet connection) through.
I have bought several of these now and am really impressed by the ease of use and quality of the camera and the picture. I’ve previously tried D-Link cameras, and have now replaced them all with the cheaper, but better Netvue ones. The latest batch I purchased on this order were for a neighbour who liked what I had shown him and asked if I could set up something similar for him. He’s a bit of a technophobe but loves the simplicity of the app and is now happily checking on his home when away at work during the week.
My only complaint is there is no desktop or browser app view, so you can only access the live stream and play back recordings through the phone or iPad. Please fix this soon, Netvue, and you’ll have a really great product.
Bought two of these now. Both of which work very well. Mainly used for the motion detection which can alert me of movement when I am not home.
The picture quality is great and the night vision works well. The app is smooth and works well.
The only negative I have is that you cannot download the footage from the camera without physically removing the memory card although you can watch back footage on your phone using the app. I will say though that the company is still updating software and apps so this may be something avaliable in the future.
Great product – you can tell quality as soon as you open the packaging. This is my second Netvue device (door bell is the other) so simple and straight forward to set up and fit.
It connected to my wi-fi network straight away and I can use my phone or Amazon Echo Spot to cast a careful eye over my property. The App is great on iPhone allowing simple and straight forward configuration and options.

You ‘re able to change the sensitivity of the motion sensor and the night view is extremely clear. It’s definitely given us peace of mind.
This is one of several that we have purchased.
The cameras provide excellent picture quality with both night and day vision. Exceptionally easy to set up and use, when you have done the first one the others are very quick.
Each camera can be fitted with a memory card to record activity and have a microphone and speaker for two way conversions. The app can be downloaded from Google play etc and has various settings for movement, sensitivity, area to be monitored and times you wish to monitor your chosen area. You can also select time for the camera to sleep.
The camera body and mounting are aluminium with fully adjustable bracket and antenna, it comes with a fitting kit with screws, plugs, template, Allen key and a masonry drill.
Chose a position out of reach and preferably hidden.
I am very pleased with this camera. It was so easy to connect to my WiFi and the app is great.
Installation was equally easy. The template for drilling was spot on. They even supply the correct size drill bit. It went up so easily. The camera has three axis to manoeuvre it which is great.
I don’t have the cloud service, but my sdcard formatted via the app and is working.
For the money this is a bargain.
The only thing I can’t comment on is how weather proof it is as mine is in a car port so not exposed.
That aside – I am very happy
The option to view live images away from home is a great feature & gives great peace of mind.
I bought this Netvue Vigil camera after looking at many on the market, this one had great reviews. It arrived well packaged in a strong box and was well protected all accessories were present. The Vigil camera feels well made and is sturdy it also looks smart on the wall. I got this camera to monitor my vehicle parked on the front of our property and it gives an excellent field of view with zoom feature for in-depth detail checking up close. I found it easy to install and connected to wi-if no problem the cable from the power unit is approx 3 meters long and can be extended with a jump lead also available on Amazon for a few pounds. It works great from the app on my I phone 6s and 2017 I pad pro as per working with Alexa if you have amazon fire tv then yes but it will not work with Alexa app from the I phone/Pad. Generally i think it’s good value for money and it makes me more confident now my car is being monitored 24/7 I may buy a couple more of these shortly to replace old tech ip cameras I had in my garden.
Install the app and follow the instructions to connect via wifi, I would do this before installing the camera at its chosen location, all very intuitive, the app has plenty of features too so you can run schedules and set sensitivity etc.
The 2 way intercom is useful too obviously the location will decide to what degree, for a front door location its perfect.
The image quality of stills and video is great, you can zoom in and edit both. You can also install an SD card which allows you to review any point in time on the video, when the cars is full it just records over the earlier data. You can also connect it to Google or Alexa devices and have them alert you if something is detected, I have Alexa also turn on the porch light when the camera detects motion.
For the price, you really do get a lot of camera with great optics and night vision, if there is one feature I would like added it would be an audio Jack alongside the power and ethernet connections so you could mount a separate speaker/mic device.
This is our 4th Netvue camera : one front door , one back garden and two internal … like that they all run ( seamlessly) off one app …. even better that they work with Alexa .
The advanced features , like determining the actual field for the motion detector is really helpful .

This is the second one of these cameras I have bought. One at the front and one at the back of the house.
Both work flawlessly on the wifi and always notify me of any movement in just the areas I have selected for motion detection to pick up. Both are fitted with micro SD cards and all my recordings are stored internally and accessible via the app wherever I am.
They seem to hold up well to the elements, the camera at the rear of the house is mounted fully exposed to them and has survived a huge amount of rain and strong winds in recent months with no impact at all.
I definitely would consider more netvue products in the future.

App was easy to download and only took 20 min to fixed the two cameras at front and back of my property.
Wifi coverage is very good, picture is very clear also has night vision which is really good also it has two way audio system.
Now I get instant notifications if any activity happening at my front and back garden which I can view via my mobile phone. One other good thing is you can add multiple user. Now I have three family members checking every notification and watching live video when we are out. Feeling very secure now. Security camera is must have now days.
I would say only downside of having this camera is not only human detection it also detect other things like wind rain bird, loud noise any leaf drop etc
This is my first review after using this camera for 2 weeks and I will drop another review in few months time.
I am writing this review again after nearly one year.
In the begging I used to get notifications on my phone with short video clips and few snaps of pictures but now without subscribing cloud paying monthly, don’t get video notifications at all only get sometime one picture sometimes two.
Sensor wise if I set sensor on low or medium it doesn’t detect anything and if I set on high it detects every small things like wind, leaf, spider etc.
On a rainy or windy night you can’t get sleep without turning notifications off otherwise it will sends you notifications continuously until rain or wind stops.
There is human detection option but you have to pay monthly or yearly to use it.
I am regretting buying this camera and wish if I can return it now.
I bought two of these camera now only using one and looking another good camera to replace that one too.
When you are getting too many notifications for every movements like wind, leaf, spider, birds flying, sun light changing any many more all day and night you end up getting so frustrated and stop checking notifications, I am worried I might miss when someone try to break into my house.

The camera was very easy to install via the app. It was straightforward and took less than ten minutes.
Installation of the camera was easy and was up and running very quickly. Although the Allen key was not the correct size but luckily got one at home.
The picture quality of the camera is very good in HD, I am able to switch between HD or SD or set as automatic. The night vision is very well on this.
I was surprised to learn the camera had a speaker in built, I was able to use this function every time I wasn’t home for a parcel (so they could put in a safe place).
The app itself is very easy to navigate and I’m able to share the camera viewing with my family.
I noticed now that I’ve installed the cameras, the neighbours are not loud. Which is an added bonus!
Set up was relatively easy and quick, getting the wires through the wall will require drilling, for the money this is good I will consider buying a second camera in the future, much cheaper than buying a full sytem which would cost hundreads fo pounds and in principle will do the same job
This camera is amazing and such good value for money. The picture quality far exceeds my expectations and after receiving one as a birthday present, I was so impressed that I bought this camera. I was being a little dim with the set up so used the live chat to gain help and spoke with Kris Ma at Netvue who was so very helpful and immediately advised how to rectify my issue and had the camera up and running in less than 5 minutes. Our internet isn’t the best and I was concerned that it may be a problem but the receiver on the cameras must be very good as they’ve not dropped out once. The fact we can view home whilst out is a huge reassurance to us that all is well. Overall I give this 10/10 and recommend you buy with confidence. Happy viewing.
The Netvue vigil camera arrived promptly and well packaged. The camera connected to my dual bandwidth router without any issues. Connecting to the Netvue server took a couple of attempts but again no real problems. Once I had decided where to place the camera fitting was a breeze using the supplied template and wall fixings. I have used a 128gb micro card and so far the camera is working great and although this is my first camera I can’t imagine that any other camera would give you a better outcome.
I paid a lot of money to have CCTV installed on my property. They were installed by idiots who put the wires in such a place that my dogs could easily chew them. Then I discovered Netvue. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT the HD quality is amazing and the added bonus of 2 way sound which means if I get a notification I can check immediately to see who is there via the app on my phone and if necessary speak to them. It really is insane the quality at an incredible price. Highly recommended. Wish I hadn’t wasted over 900 on inferior goods.
Used for watching front door area. this was second one as first was faulty. If using memory card get a decent fast one or the camera may not like it. To get it to work properly i had to put a WiFi extender next to the camera, inside the house, but maybe that’s our WiFi not too good. Easy to setup, loads of settings to adjust motion detection to how you want it.
App pretty good, has a few problems but Netvue updating and improving it regularly, so all in all a great buy
I am very pleased with my recent outdoor Wi-Fi camera, which was delivered within 2 days of ordering. Upon opening you could tell that the product was of high quality and well packaged. From an installation perspective, it was very easy, the template and drill provided the locations of all the holes required as well as the correct drill size for the wall plugs. In order to get the cables through the wall I had to drill a 20mm hole to accommodate the Ethernet cable which does leave a big hole to fill if it is ever removed. One design improvement suggestion is to use a flying lead with small connector that could fed through the wall and plug into the rear of the camera, again not all installations are the same but would allow a smaller drill to be used.
From a user perspective, the app is very handy for configuring the camera, you can adjust sensitivity of the motion detection as well as the zone area you want motion to be detected in. One suggestion would be to record/capture a further 10 seconds after motion has been detected as well. The alerts are very impressive and has always recorded and notified when motion has been detected.
All in all I would recommend this product to all and give a 5 star rating.
Overall, the camera is great, however I had quite a lot of connection issues when trying to access the camera via wi-fi. I changed my router, thinking it might resolve the issue, but the problem kept reoccurring. Excellent camera, when I could connect to it, just the connection issue that let’s it down.
We have now purchased 2 of these cameras as we were so impressed with the first one. Initially we purchased after our neighbour has recommended the cameras and for the price we can see why.
The camera is very easy to set up, the information provided are clearly written and simple to follow.
After set up we found the camera pictures and videos to be really clear and easy to make out who is in the pictures.
There is a motion detector on it and this seems very sensitive and provides constant updates to your phone when it picks something up. The area in which it covers can be adjusted easily and should stop the unnecessary notifications.
Camera has night vision too and we found this also to be very clear and of good quality.
It also has voice on which allows you to speak to whoever is appearing on the camera. When we tested this it seemed clear enough and you could have a reasonable conversation.
The only thing we found was your WiFi does need to be within a reasonable range for the camera to keep working. If it’s not you find that the camera can become offline. As we are using outdoors this may pose to be a bit of any issue but we have a WiFi booster which has helped resolve.
Updates to the settings for the camera can all be made via the app and all are very easy to do. You can set up on more than one device too which is handy.
Overall we are very impressed and would highly recommend.

The product came well packaged and has everything you would need. Included in the box is: The Vigil Camera, antenna, Power adapter, Drilling template, Drill bit, Allen key, Mounting screws and plugs, Weatherproof tube connector and instruction manual.
The camera is well constructed, a good size and looks of good quality. The instructions are very easy to follow and I had it powered up and connected to the app and wifi in minutes. The daylight picture is fairly good, with quite a wide angle lens. The nighttime picture isnt the best, but you can make most things out and it is suitable for my needs. Motion detection works well and sends a notification to your phone.
This is a great little camera. I had it set up 15 minutes after removing it from the box connecting to my Wi-fi wirelessly. The picture quality is good.
If I have any issue with this camera it is that the motion detection is sensitive to the point it is picking up vehicles on the main road. I have been trying to reduce this detection using the app on my phone.

I purchased two vigil cameras to monitor our driveway and front door. Very Easy to set up. Simply download the app and it walks you through it. I chose to set them up wirelessly which was very easy. I decided to install a micro SD for storage rather than use the iCloud storage. A 128gb card cost roughly 12. I also purchased a 30 foot extension cable for about 8. The cameras don’t require wiring in as such as the have plugs on them. They do however have other cables which need to be kept dry. I bought a waterproof junction box for 5. It’s simply a case of mounting them on the wall and running the cables to a suitable plug socket. Picture quality is good, even in the dark. When the motion detection is activated you get an alert to your phone and you can play the clip. The two way audio works well and is clear.
I found this camera extremely easy to set up and incredibly reliable.. I get full motion notifications and recordings day and night..
I use the camera for security purposes, the camera has fantastic night vision at a measured 68 feet. I’m really impressed with the build quality the only thing I would say is it would be nicer if the hard wired section was longer day at least 1m or the ethernet and power plug were slightly more waterproof I had heat wrapped mine too prevent water ingress in the long term.

Before you start you need to consider a few things;
It needs to be within reach of a 13a socket.
It needs a microSD card.
It needs to be tested in the proposed position, before fixing, to check WiFi signal strength.
You need to decide how to deal with the three leads coming out of the camera.
This camera’s performance is very impressive considering it’s low cost, on the current offer. The daylight detail is very good and the sound pickup is fantastic. The two-way audio does work but due to the delay and breakup of the speaker output, it’s not very easy to use.
I really liked the facility in the App for selecting which parts of the picture are used for auto-detection. This is extremely useful for limiting the number of unwanted detections and there are plenty of options for setting detection schedules, etc.
The automatic night vision is impressive and has a very good range. However, due to the fact that night vision needs a longer exposure than day time, fast moving objects are blurred. On wet and windy nights, you will see rain drops with long tails making very strange shapes on the recorded images.
With regards to the three leads coming out of the camera, there is actually one short lead from the camera which splits into three short leads to the reset switch, Lan connector and the power connector. These are all waterproofed and obviously expected to be on view. Personally, I prefer to hide them in a junction box next to the camera, but this makes access to the reset switch awkward.
The length of the power cable is going to be an issue in most externally mounted systems. You may need an extension cable.
Great product. Everything you would need came in the box ( even a masonry drill bit to drill the wall). Easy to download the app to install, control and view images from the camera on as many devices as you want (our 2 mobile phones as well as iPads). Ideally needs a micro sd card that we’ve purchased separately. Night vision using the infra red is excellent although it won’t work behind glass as it glares back, but then it is an outdoor camera. The back up customer service support is also brilliant. Had an issue with setting up alert times but this was soon resolved by the support team (Kris) and my understanding of what needed to be done clarified. 1st class.
You cannot find a better cctv than this little jewel, and at a price that is a sure bargain. I bought many CCTV camera but this is by far the best, it sets up in a few minutes with very clear instructions, and the menu is really intuitive. Fixing it to a wall is a breeze, they even give you the drill bit!!! All functions very well thought out and working easily, picture is superb and night vision really good.
What else can you ask??? Just brilliant really. Buy without hesitation.

It’s a cracking camera. Picture quality is good, clear in both daylight and at night in B&W. The LEDs cast a good light.
The adjustable mount is very flexible and seems sturdy holding the camera solid even in the strongest of winds.
Setup was easy but it’s android only, there’s no PC option available without installing an android emulator.
The only downside is the number of false alarms from motion detection at night. Headlights from passing cars set it off as does rain, even on low sensitivity. I imagine other cameras have the same problems.
The product arrived the very next day as promised.
Opened the pack and was pleased that the Camera looked very well built, and was packaged securely.
I followed the set up procedure…but got stuck when my phones wifi hotspot could not pick up the camera.
I tried the Online technical assistance, and within 10 seconds I got a response.
The technician explained that the device would only work if I had one dedicated wifi source.. and a separate mobile phone to operate the app.
In my case I used 2 phones.
One to provide a hot spot for the device…. the second to operate the app.
This should have been stated in the set up manual or installation video.
Once this was clarified, within minutes the whole system was up and running.
Picture quality was really great.
Sound was clear and distinct.
From unpacking to set up took me less than 1 hour, even with the technical hitch.
I am still working around this device and getting used to its features, but for the sheer plug and play ease of this device, I will not only give it a 5 star rating, I have ordered another one.

What a great little camera for the price, the overall quality of both the product and picture is excellent, it was easy to install. If I wanted a little moan, the power lead could have been longer as this limits where you can install and there’s a small time lag when your not at home. But overall I would certainly recommend.

One word of warning. My two cameras came with the free gift cards photographed but, be warned, you can only have one of these no matter how many you buy. I made the mistake of applying for both and only received the SD card and not the camera. You can only submit one review to Amazon for each item no matter how many you buy.
Just set up this camera and its the same great quality as the previous Netvue cameras I have bought.

The biggest problem is to hide the wires when attaching to a wall you need to drive a 25mm hole and then squeeze the cables through, this is messy, very difficult and leaves no room to use the three attaching holes for the camera.
Netvue need to find a way to remove and reattach the ethernet so that the hole can be much smaller.
We have two of these cameras, one covering the front, one covering the rear. They are mounted high, right below the weatherboard and they give us full coverage of both front/rear garden. They were easy enough to fit, after we followed the clear instructions.
They connect easily with the netvue app, the notifications for motion detection are great, we have set it up so it doesn’t detect any motion unless they cross our fence line. It links well with our Alexa Show 5. We can ask it to show us the back or front garden and it does simply, and easily.
I am very impressed with the image quality both in the day (colour) and at night (black & white).
The app on both tablets and mobile phone gives excellent live views and coupled with 128gb memory cards over 14 days of equally excellent recorded footage.
These are excellent value for money products and I don’t hesitate in saying buy if you are budgeting circa 40 per camera and another 13 for a 128gb SD card.
I was originally bought one of these cameras by Netvue for my birthday back in December as a surprise. I didn’t think that it would be up to much to be fair. Sure enough though, id thought I would give it a whirl and see how it did being mounted to my garage outside wall, which would face onto my side entrance to my garage and face my drive. What can I say but how fantastic it is.

After I found out how great this camera was, I purchased another to install at the top of my garden. You can see in the pictures how great it is in night mode.
I purchased my own 128gb SD card from Amazon for storage instead of buying from the cloud. The SD card slot if just in the underneath of the camera. Continuous recording for days.
Overall this product is fantastic for my security, peace of mind and scaring the wife or visitors.
Purchased 2 first. Easy to connect and great signal strength for WiFi. Managed to use one inside detached garage with 4 brick walls between it and router without any issues. Just purchased another 2 cameras to cover driveway and back garden. Sturdy build and good IR night vision range. You have to manage the extra cables but easy to put up and supplied with everything you need- even the correct drill bit. The app is also simple to use. The motion detect notifications are received within a few seconds of detection. So far I’m very happy with this product.

I sent for the cameras after an incident happened at my girlfriends house and was firstly a bit dubious about the cameras due to their cheap price.
But I was very surprised when I got them,
they not only looked good but were so easy to set up. I installed both that day installed the app on my phone and was amazed on thier ease of use and great picture quality
My girlfriend has the netvue app on her phone and my son in law bought two cameras for his house after seeing them.
I have since bought another 2 cameras.
The camera itself is very impressive for the price – pictures look crisp and clear. Most impressive is the night vision functionality. The built in IR floodlight provides a clear image in the dark!
The Netvue app is first class. Can use the app to view current footage and motion moments, as well as to speak to people remotely. I’ve got my camera installed looking over the drive which means I get motion alerts when deliveries arrive and can then speak to people at my door from the camera. One minor criticism is that the speaker isn’t that loud, but this hasn’t been much of a problem as its still audible (maybe if it were louder it would be more of a nuisance to the neighbours too).
I’ve also used the alexa connection to connect camera to both my echo show and fire tv. This gives the ability to quickly view the camera just by asking alexa to show the feed. I don’t think from alexa you can use the speaker functionality like you can from the netvue app, but I don’t find that a problem as I only really would use that when I’m not at home anyway. I’ve noticed that the live image being viewed from alexa tends to lag slightly when compared to from the netvue app, but this could be due to limited bandwidth on my home network as both the camera and alexa device are streaming over the same network.
I’m certain mine was second hand. There was no screws supplied and no allum key.
Fantastic security camera. I live in a end of terrace property and have been worried about intruders having access to back garden. I feel secure now that I can leave my home knowing that i am alerted to any movement to my phone that is not welcome. The product is easy to install and use and the picture is clear both in the day and night. The product is well constructed and comes at a great affordable price. I do not know why i did not think of purchasing one of these years ago.
Bought 2 cameras for a Christmas present for my mum and dad and they love them! Had no problems setting them up, instructions were very clear and easy to follow. They both have the netvue app on their phones which allows them to view the camera’s where ever they are. They have them connected to their smart devices around the house so can also view the camera’s with voice control. Excellent picture night and day and instant notifications sent to multiple devices when motion is detected! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase some home security.
A very smart looking compact wifi security camera , easy to get set up using the instructions in the box,, Very useful to have the SD card so you’re not reliant on image’s bring stored on the Web,, don’t know how many Hours of recordings the SD card will take be interesting to see,, So impressed with the camera that I’ve ordered a second one for the back of the house, Will do a second review when I set that one up ,I’ve yet to see how easy it is to view what’s been recorded on the SD. card but will try that out later a add to second camera review ,,hope this helps
I found this camera easy to install with all the screws raw plugs masonary drill bit and template supplied. Ive opted for using a memory card with mine although recordings can be sent to cloud storage and I also have it installed via wifi but if you wish it can be hardwired to your router using an ethernet cable.Very well made and looks like it will cope with outside elements easily. mine is mounted approx 18 feet from the ground and I have found the field of vision to be ample.Bearing in mind this was purchased for a cheap price on Amazon I have been amazed at the overall functionality and build quality so its 5 stars from me.
It is an eccellent camera and am really satisfied of it. The package provides all things necessary of an easy installation: even the drill bit of the holes!
The high resolution allows in zooming keeping a good image quality. The microphone is so sensitive: despite the double glazing, it is able to catch also noises coming from inside the house. The app is dynamic, and the cloud services offered are enough flexible to fit customer necessities. Definitely it is a good deal, and I am planing to buy more to cover other pars of my house.
Firstly the item looks absolutely stunning and made very well too. Very simple set up procedure and set up guide book. Two screws to undo before inserting the SD card. Can support cloud storage or SD storage! I’ve trialled the camera while setting it up for wireless connectivity and the two way audio works perfectly fine! Bought to see what my dog gets up to while I’m away at work but will be ideal for accepting packages while you’re out. Has motion detection and notifications as well as Alexa compatibility. Picture quality is perfect and the remote connection is stable very handy for seeing what’s going on while I’m away! Very happy with the product. There are multiple ways to get customer and technical support too through the app! I myself have emailed them with some questions and have had a response the same day! Great service great product!
After looking though reviews I decided to give this product a chance,and I am very happy to say I made the correct decision.
The camera came well packed which included ,drill piece, diagram for drilling and screws with plugs.
The camera itself is solid and well made,the images are very good during the day and was very impressed with night images I got.
It did take some time to get it all working though wifi and phone but that was mainly down to me ,if I was to do it again I would take half the time.
Overall a very impressive camera for what you are paying.
Easy physical install only power required locally if wi-fi signal suitable for communication. App no problem to download onto Android phone & easy enough to operate. Picture quality excellent in day & night mode, recording onto memory card is a nice feature. The only issue I had was binding the cameras to the server which took many attempts for the pair I purchased, my Wi-Fi on telephone was showing 5GHz so set up away from router to reduce signal to 2.4 GHz & eventually bound them. All round happy with purchase & would recommend them.
This is the first time I’ve bought a Wi-Fi security camera and I must say I am impressed!
It was very nicely packaged and came with clear, concise setup instructions, together with a very handy drilling template, mounting hardware, drill bit and Allen key.
I am having to wait for help to install it on the outside wall, as I’m unable to do it due to medical grounds, but I still managed to get it up and running, looking through a window, in about 5-10 mins. Once I had, I was amazed by the clarity of the image and managed to capture the still picture (above).
I did test the night vision function indoors and those images too were second to none! (I have not included any images of that test for obvious reasons).
I left the camera running overlooking the garden to test the notification settings. I did find that a bit “twitchy” at first and it did notify me when a cat walked down the path! It was then I realised that the camera was picking up reflections from the room in the window! On the Netvue app, I found out that you can adjust the sensitivity setting, which seemed to help, but as this setup thru glass is only temporary, I don’t anticipate any issues once it is properly installed.
If you want the footage to be recorded you will need to either install a Micro SD Card(above pic) or subscribe to a 24/7 Cloud Recording service by Netvue. I chose to use a SD Card as they were on offer from Amazon at the time ;o)
The only negative I can find is the length of the supplied power lead (around 3 Metres) so unless you have a mains socket near to where you are going to install your camera, you will need an extension power lead. Amazon do these cables in various lengths, colours etc. Just make sure you get a MALE to FEMALE 5.5mm x 2.1mm 12v DC cable.
I will be getting a couple more of these camera’s, (and perhaps some for indoors too?, in the future to cover the rest of my property.

Living in a narrow street Georgian town on the Norfolk Broads with many passers by, I found the Netvue Outdoor Security Camera a well priced good quality solution to keep an eye on my driveway and car. I can also connect to it at anytime online to check on my property while I am at work or on holiday. The quality is very good in both daylight and night, and the short video it can record when the adjustable motion sensor is triggered is invaluable.
So pleased with it that I soon decided to get a Netvue indoor camera to keep a watchful eye on my property in my lounge.
We decided to invest in home security cameras now that we no longer have our dog, and have reviewed several types including wired and WiFi, indoor and outdoor, audio and non-audio. I sent a question to the support line before buying to check whether multiple cameras could be installed with the same app and received an instant reply to confirm that any number of devices will work together. Within an hour of delivery my husband had tested the connectivity from the house and proceeded to install the first 2 units. Very quick, and relatively easy providing power supply was close by. I contacted the support line again to seek a little help to get connected, but they responded immediately and gave me the answer straight away – greatly customer service.
The standard of picture and two-way audio is absolutely amazing and we are delighted with the result. The 3rd camera is destined for the shed at the bottom of the garden where the WiFi signal is not very good, so that is something we have to resolve, are hooping a signal booster or another access point will work.
Loving the way we can ‘share’ the system with our daughter 5 miles away so that if we are on holiday in different time zone, she can too can tune in to watch over the house.
