Good value camera. Best connected to ethernet as the wifi seems a bit insensitive. Netvue App is OK but really could do with a fast replay (x2, x4, x8 etc) of video recorded on the camera’s SD card. Motion detection is tricky to get just right. Night vision is good. The built in speaker for two way comms is a bit weak and the delay when speaking into the app to when it comes out of the speaker can be several seconds.
I bought 2 of these and they are really good. The picture quality is brilliant and very easy to set up. One of them stopped working after a week but company dealt with it very professionally and very quickly. I would highly recommend this product.

La qualit de l’image est au rendez-vous et bien que j’ai eu des petits soucis lors de l’installation, j’ai pu bnficier d’un service d’assistance de tout premier ordre, cordial, ractif et comptent.
Personnellement, c’est une marque que je recommande.
J’ajoute que certaines fonctions de la camra peuvent tre dbloques via un abonnement mais je n’ai pas encore test.
The infra-red light on the camera was excellent for nighttime viewing. Picture quality was amazing and the cloud viewing was good for looking for motion detection. Would recommend for the price as it I’d very competitive against other brands.
Love it, quality is great, price is more than reasonable. Easy installed. Also very good customer service from the business.
What’s not to like, I’ve been very impressed by the companies products, service, reliability and support. Not only trying to lead the way with camera security, but always there to help you through set up, capture and sharing. Making the signal strength stronger and now giving you daylight looking, night view, funnorminal. It like your out side and your eyes have adjusted to the amount of light available, sometimes better than what you can see, if you were outside. And if something was to go wrong with the camera and the can’t fix it from afar, then they’ll replace it. I don’t work for them, I am really impressed and would definitely recommend these over other camera security devices. They’ve even got a bird feeder with a dedicated camera to catch your garden birds, great for nature watchers. Definitely check out their site or just enter Netvue in the Amazon search bar, but make sure the product title says Netvue, as Amazon will show you others at the same time, trying not to be bias.
The camera is very easy to install and it works great. Very satisfied.
Really good camera, easy to set up and really clear and good image. The motion detection works great and recognizes every motion and gives directly a push notification on the phone. I would definitely buy it again.
I orded another one from netvue years ago and this is also still working fine. So I am really trusting into netvue
I’ve waited to review this as wanted to see if it would have any problems later on. So far I have had no issues at all. I upgraded to this from a blurams pet cam. I use this for security and just for checking in on my rabbits as they live in a shed outside. I would highly recommend this camera as it is reliable and I love that it shows you a preview of what triggered the alert.
Mounting was easy with drilling template easy access to base screws, long thin mains power lead. Ethernet port and good Wi-fi reach. Cabling required cable tidy strip to hide. Easy app connect using QR code. Installation of my SD card was easy. Good HD capture day and night. Basic local motion detection without subscription with 3min cooldown but capture time is good whilst motion continues. Good alert speed on app whilst open in background. Recommend for a driveway fixed camera coverage. Free 1 month continuous cloud recording, cheaper ongoing options for cloud capture backups. App could be easier to navigate to video captures. Would be nice to have more features in free tier.
No long wires, other then electricity, runs off your WiFi, an all and all really good camera and not too expensive neither.
Great sound quality from microphone which picks up clear conversation from 5 metres away.
Netvue cameras provide good footage for the reasonable price they ask for the camera. You can use them without the cloud subscription to record continuously to a SD card but you will only get the basic motion detection. I have the origional vigial camera as well as this one and the footage doesnt really look any different but that might be because the camera is mounted quite high under the roofline of my house.
Great device, designed for outdoor use but works perfectly indoors too!
The night vision is pretty useful and shows everything perfectly, which is fantastic considering there is no indication of the camera in a dark room.
The Motion Alerts are a little delayed but otherwise work perfectly! You have to pay an additional cost to filter certain motions out, but you can use motion sectors on the camera to select specific areas that will alert you instead; which is a great feature!
Picture Quality is perfectly fine on the app, can make out most details without any issue. Playback via the app will depend on your internet but for me it was pretty much flawless.
I would recommend this camera is anyone looking any sort of security camera, be it for outdoor use or indoor use.
I would also recommend an SD card for it to store footage when you don’t have a NetVue subscription.
Got this camera to add to the other 6 already owned from this company. Pictures are good quality and as the sun goes down this camera stays on daylight the longest. Picture colours are more vivid on this camera also. Pity the motion detection does not call mobiles over WiFi. Overall this is one of the better cameras, good quality picture and night visio
The camera was easy to connect to my existing Netvue app and other cameras. The quality of the image is good. I use it in my garage so often the light intensity is low but image still good. It is robust but has a quality feel to it. Recommended.
Great camera. Always reliable and very easy to set up. Handy having the sd card function and being able to check the camera when away! Have a few netvue cameras at home as they are reliable.
When I compared this new 3MP camera with my old vigil camera, I can immediately tell the difference of the images, it was much clearer and sharper. (See Photo 1 from old vigil camera and Photo 2 from 3MP camera) Also, the WiFi signal reception was improved from 48% to 54% which was 6% faster. (See Photo 3 & 4).
The minor thing is: If you set the night vision mode to ‘Always Day’ on both cameras, the infrared LED on both cameras would still light up in darkness though. However, I would still replace my others vigil camera to new 3MP camera in future.
I have eight other Netvue security cameras (vigil and vigil2) and I have found them reliable and affordable. I purchased the vigil pro camera and so far have found build quality to be excellent and the quality of recordings is slightly (20%) better than my other Netvue cameras. Where the Vigil Pro has improved the most is night view. Night view in colour on all my other cameras is impossible but the Vigil Pro night view in colour is fantastic. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.
