Protecting you all round
The Nextbase Rear Window Camera offers all-round protection to guard against everything from tailgaters and rear end impacts, to knocks and bumps in a car park. It uses a 140° ultra-wide viewing angle to capture the whole road behind, including the pavements on both sides. The Rear Window Camera can easily be fitted to your front facing Nextbase Dash Cam via the supplied 6m long cable, which can easily be hidden under the roof lining out of view. It uses a fully adjustable magnetic mount to give you total flexibility. Using Neodymium magnets, the table tennis ball size camera is discreet and can be used at any angle.

This dash cam is easy to set up this is the best out of the 3 I ordered had it installed front and rear cam very good picture highly recommend this dash cam
Got this Nextbase front and rear dashcam for friend who has had recent close calls with inconsiderate drivers. Very well designed and thought-out dashcam, I believe it to be high quality, only downside got caught out purchasing wrong SD card, didn’t absorb instructions properly, make sure you purchase a U3 card. But very impressed with this product.
Nice cam works fine lens covers both sides of road long cable does not have suction mount,which was in picture on amazon but stick on ones are good just put in right place as it is hard to move.

Easy to set up, installation was harder as my power supply is live all the time so had to get a hard wire kit which was pretty easy with a yeti. Wiring ran neatly behind the trim and the camera works great.
Arrived on time, easy to setup and install good bit of kit.
Like the set up for the front camera but disliked rear camera.keeps moving when I open boot, magnet not strong enough to hold it in position so I have to keep straightening it every time I open boot. Bit disappointed in the rear camera.Happy enough otherwise. Had to get an upgraded sd card also to keep up with the newer model.

My grandson just passed his test so I bought him the same dashcam I have. Not the cheapest but great quality camera and excellent VFM. When movies downloaded you get good quality pictures from both front and rear cameras.

Dashcam was easy to install and simple to use. Imagine is clear and picture quality is good. If you have an older Nextbase dashcam you will need a new SD card as older ones aren’t compatible.

Good price for front and rear recording only gripe is cable length supplied for rear camera is too short I fitted it to Hyundai Tucson and it wasn’t really long enough.but yes I still recommend this produc
The 222XR pack comes with the ‘Rear WINDOW Camera’ which connects to the front dashcam via a proprietary connector. The rear camera mount uses a 3M pad to affix to the window with the camera affixing to the mount using a strong magnet which makes angling it simple. Pro tip: this rear camera is compatible with 622GW, 522GW, 422GW, 322GW, it is NOT compatible with the 322GW which instead uses the ‘Rear VIEW Camera’ or ‘CABIN View Camera’ models. 222XR does not have GPS so it doesn’t overlay your location or speed on its recorded video.
Picture quality of both camera is excellent and identical as far as I can see. Both take pictures as well as video and protect files automatically.
Both come with two 3M adhesive pads affixed to small plastic ‘plates’, these are useful if you want to move your camera and mount between vehicles as you simply slide the ‘Click & Go Mount’ out.
Pro tip: Although the ‘Click & Go Mount’ looks the same on both cameras the 322GW one additionally contains the GPS chip so for GPS to work you MUST use the 322GW with its mount.
The dashcam itself is attached to the ‘Click & Go Mount’ using a strong magnet which makes removing the camera from the vehicle quick and simple, it’s also helped by the power going into the mount and not the camera so no fiddly reconnecting wires. You also get a tool to help you fit the cables and a ‘ferrite power cable attachment’ to stop electronical noise from your vehicle interfering with the camera. It’s these little touches of thought that makes you appreciate Nextbase.
Pro tip: The MyNextbase Player from Nextbase is free and works with both dashcams, for the GPS data it additionally shows the speed, G forces and Google Maps overlay, it also has a video editor.
If you are the person who just wants to plugin and go – the Quick Start Guide in the box is good enough, but if you are going to use features such as Parking Mode, Dual Files, Alerts etc. you will be scratching your head on what exactly these are. Go on to the Nextbase website’s Support page and download the much more details (60 pages) User Manuals.
Out of the box to up and running in a couple of minutes, it took longer to hide the wire

This is an excellent camera and I, would recommend their are only a few small things tbat let it down. For example it is not compatible with the nextbase mobile app. It also does nit have as many features as the gw322 model which is a shame. But it is a very good camera for a very good price and I, would recommend it. The seller sent the item very quickly and it was well packaged. It is also very easy to set up.
Only had this a few weeks so bear that in mind. Once out of the box it is IMPERATIVE that you charge the dashcam for a couple of hours so that it can retain the internal date/time. Then you connect the bits together which, even without instructions would be fairly obvious, and then position it in your car. This has a sticky pad, rather than a suction pad (which I absolutely don’t like), and so it’s very easy to stick it in the position you want. Mine uses the USB connection in my car and it’s working great. It feels real quality in the hand and I’m hopeful it will prove to be a long-lasting quality purchase. The instructions that come with it aren’t the best but like I say, it’s so simple to set up. It’s very small in size but that’s a good thing – you don’t want it dominating your windscreen. I haven’t viewed any recordings yet so can’t comment on those. I’m very happy that, several weeks in, it shows the correct date & time when I start the car. My previous dashcam (from China) stopped doing this after only a few days.

Records everything with good audio too. Front and back very easy to fit and set up. Don’t forget to format every two weeks or so keeps the card and system in tip top order you never know when you might be needing the footage we all know what’s out there .
Easy to install and setup shame you can’t move the location of the picture from the rear camera it’s not a game change
Followed installation instructions and was surprised how easy it was. Only one issue, I hadn’t fully connected the rear cam cable – there are tiny crenellations that need to line up but I didn’t see them. I logged a support ticket and had a really quick response. Excellent service.
Only annoying thing is data transfer but that’s only necessary for incidents
