This great! So quick and easy to make proper soups. Just load and leave.
Discovering it also makes jam was a bonus.
It feels very strong and sturdy when you use it.

It’s a heavy piece of kit but that’s to be expected given how powerful it is. My grandson aged 8 is autistic and refuses to eat vegetables. I make smooth sauces loaded with hidden veggies in this and he’s looking much healthier. I love this beas

Jug is very heavy and difficult to rinse. Cleaning cycle about 90% effective. Odours from previous recipes apparent even after cleaning as per recommendation. However using a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda eliminates odours and gives a fresher finish to cleaning cycle. Overall a very robust and excellent kitchen aid.

I got this over Christmas when it was on offer, its been a great purchase, so far we have only used it for making soups which it does an excellent job at doing, its just so simple you can either use manual controls to or a set IQ button that does everything for you.
Also this blender is super powerful and chops things effortlessly. The jug is quite heavy, it needs to be due to how powerful it is.
I look forward to trying smoothies and milkshakes in the summer.

If you use any of the soup recipes in the recipe booklet, don’t follow the salt measurements, just season to taste.

    1 tablespoon of salt!!!! lol

Initially I found the jug heavy but I’m getting used to it. I find this soup maker really trustworthy solid and reliable compared to my old which burnt out twice

All in all not a bad product, does the job and does the job well, can chop, saute, smooth, make soups all very quickly and efficiently. My only 2 down points which made me give it 4 star is 1. It is a little louder than I would’ve liked, its not horrendous but not something you wanna be putting on at 7am if you live in a flat with neighbours underneath. And 2. It’s not the easiest thing to clean, the whole jug has to be taken off including the electric mechanism underneath which heats the soup, and you cannot separate that part. Which means it is not dishwasher proof, it cannot be submerged in water and so you have to be very careful when cleaning it to ensure you do not get any water in the bottom section. Which is not too bad if you are careful but the jug is quite heavy and so if you are not very strong it may not be very easy to hold and clean at the same time. For me, it would not stop me using it, but others may struggle more.

Love it!!! Ive been addicted to trying different recipes and they all have come out brilliantly. Don’t make the mistake of overfilling, I did and made a HUGE mess. Soup making has never been easier, and FAST. Most of the work if in your prep time. But I have been freezing lots of veg so I’m always ready for a new batch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExtremely happy with my purchase, and I’d recommend to anyone. Chose this model as it cooks the raw veg rather than just heats and blends, and I use it daily at the moment. Homemade soup in 30 minutes, with little to do other than put ingredients in, start the programme, and eat it. Extra functions for smoothies, sauces and jam making are extra useful additions. Only slight downside is that the jug is slightly heavier than I’d like, and the jug can’t go in the dishwasher. That said, there is a self-clean programme that is more than adequate instead.

works well completes all its jobs very well, makes a v/good soup.
    easy to operate.
but.. jug is very very heavy, needs two hands even when empty.
level markings on jug imposable to read with anything in it.
and you need ear muffs to use it, but to be fair all food mixers are similar.

A heavy, solid machine – nothing light & plasticky about it – i do find it much easier to situate/plug in on worktop close to the sink as the jug itself is rather heavy hence less lifting.
Very pleased indeed I chose the Hinja

I received my soup/blender on New Years Eve and having never used a soup maker before my fingers were crossed that all the positive reviews had guided me to the right purchase, I’ve now made 2 different soups and today I made beautiful homemade strawberry jam, the unit has surpassed my expectations, LOVE IT !!!! all three took 30 minutes each to cook and the results were delicious, the leek and potato soup was amazing, its extremely easy to use, anything your making has a button for it so all you do is press it and let it do it’s magic afterwards the cleaning was a breeze, couple of drops of liquid soap, some water and switch it on to clean, all done for you, You do get a recipe book with it which covers some of the things you can make but I also purchased the Ninja blender/soup cookbook which has lots of great recipes, very pleased with my purchase.

Bought as a Xmas gift for my partner. She loves it, apparently it has transformed her life? I myself have been treat to soups and smoothies and they are as good as anything I have ever paid hard cash for so all positive! Easy to clean too!….I also got the recipe book to go with too, so that’s recommended also!

This is absolute God sent. It’s a must have in your kitchen. I have been using every day more than once making gorgeous soups, sauces all from scratch and tastes amazing. I am extremely happy to say that this is great way to top up the kids with healthy nutrition. Addicted. The only down side is, makes up to 4 servings for four grown ups , if you have bigger family to feed , it will be better to look for larger capacity, that’s the only negative, everything else is excellent.

Well very happy with this little boy so far. Definately some soups I can drop in and walk away bam 30 minutes
Later decent soup. The saut function is not great. Ok for a LITTLE chopped onion ,garlic etc but if your soup depends on most of it bring well sauted then I do it in a pan first but still it’s great to tip in the ninja and press smooth or chunky soup and walk away.
Done a few smoothies to an even used it to just chop some red onion I wanted for salad. You can’t have it all, but certainly you have most of it with this.

Within 24 hours we have blended pretty much every edible item in the house; I’ve just come back from a shopping trip where we’ve literally bought ingredients specifically to blend for recipes. This blender is pure magic and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I love this product. I have recently started having protein smoothies for breakfast and this comes in so handy. The product handles frozen fruit so well and makes smoothies in seconds. The cleaning process is so easy being able to fill it with water and dishwasher liquid and it cleans itself.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis blender/soup maker is amazing; it is sooo easy to use and I don’t know how I’ve ever lived without it. It makes smoothies so smooth that they are almost the texture/consistency of juices depending on the ingredients and speed you use. The blades are nice and sharp and the jug is a great size. It comes with a fab little recipe books to inspire ideas and teach you best how to layer your ingredients (this is actually really useful so you can create a smoother blend or chunky soup etc). Couldn’t praise this blender enough. I love that it has a timer so I can throw the ingredients in and blend whilst I work. The blender is quite heavy, but still with my noodle arms I lift it easily. The only small issue for me is that it can’t be submerged into water, so that means cleaning it without getting the bottom of the jug wet… this hasn’t been a problem so far as everything else is easy to clean and it comes with a cleaning brush. But it is something I’ve noted as I can’t just put it into a washing up bowl alike other items. That aside, 10/10 would recommend. This wasn’t a paid review and I purchased the blender myself without any incentive .

    THE BEST BLENDER OUT THERE

Great for soup sauces. The included recipe book a little light on content. Is performed really well in all tasks apart from making nut butter- took ages and the nuts were just blasted up the side, and the motor smelled smoky – but still works will not be using for that process agai

Absolutely fabulous. Don’t read the reviews click on buy now. This is the best soup maker ever. Brilliant blender and super quick smoothie maker. I use mine daily. No burned on the bottom soup any more. Cleans at the touch of a button too.

  30. Adam Learoyd says:

Very pleased withthis purchase. good quality item with a powerful motor. The preset saute, chop and soup settings make soup-making a doddle! The little recipe book gives you the broad outline of how to make smoothies, soups, sauces etc, and from there, one can really get versatile in using this machine for all sorts of delicious recipes!
Despite the jar being rather large, I am able to make really smooth Indian style mint/ corriander or coconut chutneys and grind various ‘masalas’ easily, thanks to the powerful motor and the tamper tool. The chop function can be used to shred fresh coconut meat to sprinkling consistency in seconds. Cleaning is very easy – a quick rinse followed the clean cycle usually does the job. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a dry spice grinder. I hope that Ninja comes up with a little attachment for this!

  31. JulianaTuck says:

This makes beautifully smooth soups and blends smoothies very well too. We find it easy to use and clean especially as it has a self-clean function. The only disadvantage is that the glass jar is heavy but it needs to be so that it is sturdy and can heat the soup. I would really recommend it.

  32. WolfgangSikora says:

     United Kingdom

The only reason it doesn’t get five stars is the gratuitously over engineered bowl which can’t be disassembled and can’t be put in the dishwasher. I know there’s a cleaning feature, but if you don’t want your milkshake to taste like tomato soup you need to hand clean, and that’s not the easiest (and you can’t get the base of the bowl wet). Great machine otherwise, you can make smoothies with frozen ingredients and create soups in four easy steps. And it’s good value at 1/10 of the price of a thermomix

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted to leave this review the first time I used it but I thought I’d wait a bit just incase! I thought it would be good for people to see a review from someone who hasn’t recieved the item for free (I wish! But I’d spend the money again if I had to!) Needn’t have – this product is amazing! I had a MR soup maker for around 3 years which was my holy grail, but was heartbroken when it just stopped working back in august. I bought another one but then it just didn’t work the same and also just stopped working a month or so later. I read up on other makes and Ninja came out on top. Not only for soup but the fact you can also do smoothies and sauces in it too which meant I could sell my blender well, AND it self cleans (to an extent) win win!

Easy to follow instructions and easy to grasp quite quickly so you don’t have to have the book out every time. Makes a good quantity, the item is very sturdy and (I hope) should last a good amount of time.

Self clean is a great function. It mostly helps but obviously you do have to pour the dirty water away and rinse out any residue still especially from the top and the lid, but it still saves a lot of time and is better for the blade than manual washing.

My mind has been changed by this product, I won’t be going back to any other soup maker. Ninja have thought of everything here with this soup maker.

Really easy to use and the smart functions estimate the cooking/blend time by weight which is really handy. I bought this on prime day and have made tomato sauce, pumpkin ginger soup & banana oat smoothie. The measurement markings make it easy to see how much I’m adding. I like how powerful the motor is, pulverises everything in that jug to bits! The saute function is not bad either. Only downside is the jug is very heavy being glass and hard to wash as the bottom of jug can’t be immersed in water. There is a handy cleaning function but you still have to empty the jug and rinse. I still use my small herb chopper for smaller quantities but use the ninja for everything else. Pic shown is the cleaning function switched on.

Love my Ninja but heavy glass jug

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe use daily to make amazing hassle free soups, smoothies, milkshakes & pasta sauce.
Just pop in ingredients select required setting then machine does the rest. I’ve not tried chunky soups as like mine blended but I just pop in onion/garlic select chop then saut, whilst it’s working prepare rest of ingredients add to the jug select smooth soups & have a tasty soup within 30mins.
Once finished with the jug add water & a little detergent & set it to clean so ready for next use.
Jug is quite heavy but needed if your making soup or sauces.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI love this machine! I was going to buy a cheaper Morphy Richards soup maker, but a friend recommended this one. It’s more expensive but well worth the extra cost. So easy to make the perfect soup. I use it several days a week. Two of my family visitors liked it that much they also purchased one.
Making soup is so easy. It chops, Sauts the blends all the ingredients together and makes the perfect soups in 30 minutes, just leave it and let it do it’s magic! One full jug filled to the max line makes 4 good portions of Soup.
The cleaning function is also great! cleans the blades and about 90% of the jug, it just needs a wipe down after using it.
Absolutely perfect buy in every way and it looks good too! A very smart looking piece of kit! 5 out of 5. Buy it, you wont be disappointed!

This lives up to the advertising and the many reviews and videos on YouTube.

It is extremely easy to make fresh soup with this without any hassle and also ice cream ready for the freezer as well as smoothies and other drinks.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAbsolutely love my soup maker but its a pain to clean.
I would advise to empty the contents as soon as its cooked then put soapy water in, otherwise if you allow any soup to dry up in it, its harder to clean. I use a sponge to wipe around it and remove stubborn dried on bits.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI received the Ninja in a well wrapped package and everything was in the box. It is easy to use and clean. I like the glass jar and this is the main reason besides price I decided to get this blender. It is not as expensive as a Vitamix (no glass jar) and does what it says. I have made hot smooth soups, blended fruits into smoothies and made almond milk with the Ninja so far. It is not a tiny blender so it does take up a bit more space than a typical blender but it looks good on the worktop. It is very sturdy. It is a bit on the heavy side but I like it this way. I hope it will last for at least a few good years. Time will tell.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersPurchased for 149, Argos offered for 129 Amazon refused to match the priced so I have returned the unit.
Picked up from Argos and tested on a few recipes, it delivers great results. However, I have quite a lot of experience in cooking so I did not follow any book recipes. What I like is throw everything in and come back when it’s ready.
The jar is thick glass and it is quite heavy so please bear in mind that handles it with sauce/soup might be challenging. A bit of advice – use saute function before cooking any soup or sauce, add onions, garlic, bay leaf, salt, black pepper, and whatever you like to enhance the flavor of the end dish. Will I buy it again – Yes!

Not much to dislike on this one. My first blender so i done a lot of research and went for this one. I’ve since used it for blended smooth soups and many fruit smoothies, all of which have been fantastic.
The weight of the jug means to ‘lock’ in place but this is a non issue. It’s certainly secure.
The weight of the jug is not that bad, yes it’s weighty but no more so than say a cast iron roasting pan. It’s manageable.
The cleaning function is great, i thought i would struggle as you cannot submerge it in water to clean it but a quick rinse after use and then the self clean function followed by another rinse, brings it back to box fresh so don’t let that deter you.
Idiot proof to use so you don’t need to keep instructions to hand.
Looks sleek. It’s quite big but i think most appliances are nowadays.
Would recommend this one as ive had no issues and use it regularly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAlthough quite heavy and more expensive than others, I am impressed with the quality and versatility of this make and model. There are so many helpful options available on the control panel it allows me to make much more than just smooth or chunky soups. It chops, saute’s, blends, cooks, smoothies, frozen drinks, desserts, milkshakes, jams and sauces. It keeps soup warm when made, and has a hot capacity of 1.4 litres and a cold of 1.75 litres. I am so glad I didn’t buy a cheaper and inferior model with fewer options as it just wouldn’t do the job. As always, in the end, you get what you pay for.

Nothing bad to say about it.
I have so far made soups, chocolate fondue, smoothies and frozen drinks and they have all come out great.
My 11yr old son loves using it to make smoothies and frozen drinks too. It’s that fun and easy!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you’re considering buying this, you must get one IMMEDIATELY!
Very easy to use, just throw in the raw ingredients and hit the desired button.
Only had a week or so and already on our 4th soup, all freshly made and ready to serve.
Milkshakes and smoothies are really good too.
Very easy to clean, just add water with a bit of washing up liquid.
Nothing really negative to say, although it is a bit loud but that’s to be expected as it’s a very powerful bit of kit.

    Best thing since sliced bread!

Really pleased with this blender and soup maker. It is powerful enough to make nut butters, and comes with a booklet of recipe ideas – including how to make soups. Can’t imagine life without it now!

I love this blender and wished I’d only had one sooner. The jug is quite heavy but I like that as makes me think I have a good substantial product that will last longer than a plastic jug

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI don’t normally do in depth reviews but I love this product so much I wanted to give one, as I know buying a blender like this is an investment.

This really is a fantastic appliance to have in your kitchen, it is very versatile. This is really well built and although it is a bit pricier it’s definitely worth the investment. The jug is large and is made of solid glass, and the high speed motor can blitz through anything, even solid things like ice and nuts. As a blender, this is fantastic and works well for everything from drinks to dips.

There is also a built in heating element which allows for a couple extra functions – you can chop and saute ingredients in the blender, and then make either a smooth or chunky soup in 20-30 minutes by putting in all the ingredients and stock and pressing one button – I absolutely love how easy it is to make soup. The machine even stirs the soup every few minutes to prevent sticking. It comes with a guide to help you make your own custom soups.

As well as this there is a self-cleaning function which is so helpful – you put in a little washing detergent and water, and it will heat the water up and blend at high speed to remove any stubborn bits, basically like an internal dishwasher. This really cleans well.

Already I have been able to make smoothies, milkshakes, dips, sauces, soups and sorbet. I absolutely love this and it has helped me so much in the kitchen.

The only little things I would change is that the jug is pretty solid and heavy, this isn’t too much of a problem for me but I can imagine if you have arthritis or struggle with mobility this could be really difficult to handle, and also the base does not come off so it can be a bit of a challenge to clean – however this does come with a brush specifically designed for this and the self-cleaning function helps too.

All in all, this is a great product and a really handy piece of equipment to have in your kitchen.

Easy to use, have used it most days of week with great results. Only minor quibble is the noise it makes but it can be put up with considering the results obtained. Even made some duck pate with it, a bit more awkward to clean but again successful. A good buy robust and reliant, a bit on the heavy side but again manageable

This is an excellent blender. I’ve made hummus, peanut butter, desserts, soups. It is more than capable of blending nuts etc. Chopping and saute options are also amazing, you don’t even bother with a knife.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMade some beautiful dishes/milkshakes already with this machine! My children are begging me for more milkshakes!
The self cleaning option is brilliant.
I cant find any faults with this machine but if I had to be picky and fussy… id say the soup could be a little hotter… but just let it cook for a bit longer and that fixes that tiny issue 🙂 overall, brilliant!!!

Why did I not buy this sooner?!

Love it! So many ways to use it! Love making soup in it and the self clean option, but it does take time clean it as you need to keep replacing water like 3 times to clean it. A bit uncomfortable to pour things out (drips a bit). But overall love this blender.

The soup maker / blender / multiple use product is fantastic. Just 30 minutes later after adding fresh vegetables, stock, herbs and spices and you have silky smooth soup. It is so easy to use. Chunky soup option is also brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 81 From Our UsersI love this thing! It arrived yesterday and today I used it for my breakfast smoothie (organic pea protein isolate, frozen bananas, frozen tropical fruit mic, frozen ginger root, organic kale, tumeric powder, amlaki powder, whole golden flaxseeds, avocado), chunky vegetable soup for lunch (organic carrots, organic mushrooms, brocolli sprouts, tomato paste, garlic, ginger, onion flakes, vegetable buillon, water) and noodles in garlic & chilli tomato sauce for dinner (whole wheat noodles, pasata, garlic, shallots, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, misoo paste, lime & mango pickle, chilli). I think I’m going to use this for all my meals every day. Life is so much better with this blender. I haven’t used the cleaning setting yet. I just hand wash and dry with a tea towel each time. And I have used my own recipes based on the guidlines in the booklet that came with it. And I skip the oil & saute steps as I don’t use any processed oils. This has to be the best kitchen applience I have ever purchased. Looking forward to trying all its other capabilities.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersI am so in love with this Ninja. My NutriBullet blew up, and I wanted something that could do a bit more than just make a smoothie. The soup function is great, but I can also make hummus, nut butter, pancake mix, banana nice-cream and frozen drinks, as well as my daily smoothie. The blend is so smooth, I can even blend apples and carrots into my smoothie without any lumps. The clean function is wonderful, it’s so time saving and economical. It’s pretty loud (makes my cats jump out of their skin!) but I genuinely don’t care when the rest of the machine is so great. Never going back to NutriBullet after this! Great price too, for such a professional bit of kit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve used it for my green smoothies, protein smoothies and soups since I bought it I’m so happy my old ninja stopped working – after like 5 years! I wouldn’t have looked for anything new if it hadn’t. I absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it. Although it’s quite heavy, the self cleaning makes it so easy to use on a daily basis.

Although it has plenty of features, the soups I’ve made are not as good as my previous Morphy Richards soup maker.
Perhaps with a bit more experimentation I’ll master this and improve the results. Good for crushing ice and smoothies.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is one of the best presents I have ever had, it does so much more than just soup, its hot and cold , so this means you can do ice cold smoothies , ice creams, deserts, as well as steaming hot soups, with this and the Ninja Foodi that I was given were the best ever presents , I use both every day, dont know how I have lived without them, so easy to use and clean, infact the soup blender cleans its self !

Great item, easy to use and if you take the brief recipe book as a guide rather than instruction, lots of great things to be made. For best results after use, wipe around the top of the just and lid before running the cleaning cycle.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAwkward to clean due to the weight of the jug, not happy with the jug just sitting on the base rather it locked in place very powerful motor not really massive capacity for bulk cooking. The main positive is the powerful performance versus cost imho cheapest in it’s range of powerful blenders a d this means it is not just a soup maker.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHaving pondered over whether to buy this or not, I finally asked a few questions and took the plunge.
    Oh my goodness.
    I LOVE it.
It is so easy to use. I was dying to give it a try so my first make was a carrot and coriander soup. I threw a quartered onion in and a tbsp of coriander seeds in…. Because I figured the test of the smooth soup would be the seeds at the end.
Chop function whizzes It round 3 times. The onion does slightly stick to the side.
Saute – the machine heats within seconds, you can see the steam on the glass and smell It cooking the onions quickly. My only thought is the onion stuck to the side is not getting heated as much.
Next I threw in 3 carrots chopped, 1 sweet potato, 1 veg stock pot, some fresh coriander stalks and about 900mls water.
Hit smooth soup and walked away.
It bubbles within a matter of seconds, and does a periodical mix through cooking.
In the last few mins it starts the blend process, low, med then high.
Ive never had soup so smooth!!! It was blended to perfection, not a coriander seed left in sight.
My quote to my husband was ‘this is my new favourite appliance’

I also made vegan parmasan which was blitzed cashews and spices. It made light work of that even though they weren’t pre soaked

Don’t think twice about purchasing this. You won’t be disappointed

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersI love this product and I’ve been using it every day for the past week. The jug is really heavy, and the noises the motor makes while blending the soup for a whole minute are scary. But saute and soup functions are great, and the ones I’ve made so far have been delicious. Smoothies have been a mixed bag, some of them came out a bit chunky, especially when using frozen fruit. Unfortunately I will be returning the product, as after a week it started leaking at the bottom, from the blade. If it wasn’t for that, I’d be very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersGreat blender for soups and smoothies (the only 2 things I’ve tried so far). The only downside is the jug isn’t dishwasher safe because of the heating unit but the cleaning program is going the job with a drop of washing up liquid and a quick scrub with the brush.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersWow is all I can say!!! Bought this to replace a different soup maker which broke. Just used it now and it’s incredible. The machine chopped and sauteed the onion and then the soup was ready 30 minutes later. A joy to use, really easy. And it even cleans itself!! And the flavour of the soup was just incredible, noticeably different to the other soup maker! Highly recommend. Bought when reduced but worth spending a bit extra on.

Golden Review Award: 111 From Our UsersHaving used one of these before buying mine i knew i had to have one, incredibly simple and easy to use. Cut ingredients to size and just drop in. 35 minutes from start to finish of making a soup. No need to worry about anything.
Cleaning very simple, add water and a drop of washing up liquid and press the clean button, leave and come back a few minutes later and empty the jug, rinse and done.
If like me you want to get home from work and cook something quick but dont want the usual microwave meal, this is a must have. Tasty and quick

Perfect for that tasty quick meal

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI’ve recently had to replace a similar soup maker (different make) and I was really surprised to find this one. It is excellent and it isn’t just a soup maker it does everything the Ninja processor does. I cannot say how durable it is having only just bought it.
It is a solid piece of machinery and not light to use but I find that encouraging.

We bought the soup maker after buying the ninja foodi, the ninja products are very well made and the soup maker doesn’t disappoint, so far I’ve made 3 soups, several hot chocolates, couple of sauces and used it to chop up everything for stuffing. It’s excellent I can’t say enough good things about the product and I’m sure I will continue to find many many uses for it over the Christmas period and moving forward.

Golden Review Award: 61 From Our UsersThis is so much more than a soup maker blender. In fact it really shouldn’t be called that. It should just be a magic blender! You can make soups, smoothies and lots in between.

When you take this out of the box you just attach the jug and plug in. It is really well packaged. You receive a recipe booklet which has good ideas all in UK measurements and ingredients- sometimes the recipes are USA themed so you don’t recognise certain ingredients.

Each smoothie and soup has a preset time to use and the book tells you if you need to manually intervene.

It looks good on the work top.

The base measures approx 9×8″ and it is approx 19″ tall so doesn’t take up too much space.

More than just a soup blender!
