All ok but one negative opinion from me is that whenever I put the hard item into mashine as apple celary or beetroot the juicer are very noisy
I have been using this for 20 days now twice a day so have put it through its paces. I found that juicing very soft fruits like mangos, strawberries, blueberries and tomatos doesn’t work on anything other than the corsest filter just blocks the machine up, and even then they don’t always behave. Very easy to clean in a bowl of soapy water. It is quite most of the time but can squeak a bit with large kale leaves. Much better than the centrifugal Juicers in my opinion as the one I had of those always made the juice warm I found, this is a slower process than that type of machine though as the shoot will not even take the diameter of a cucumber, so apples have to be quartered.
Very easy to take apart and clean… I love i
As you would expect from ninja products, high quality and build, excellent performance and a pulp difference that works, I’ve had other juicers some cheaper some alot more expensive and this out performs them all
Highly recommended
I use this every morning for my ginger zinger (first recipe in the book) and have become a juicer fanatic! It is really quiet but make sure you have all your ingredients ready prepped because it goes so quickly. LOVE IT.
I love this juicer it’s easy to use. Quiet and easy to clean and out back together and the juice tastes delicious!
My only gripe is sometimes the fruit gets stuck in the chute and the juice can’t get out the feed as it gets blocked. I have to wipe the feed to release the juice into the jug. The drip cover doesn’t work when you move the jug and this means it drips on the base.
Still a great product! Thanks
I like that this takes up very little space on the worktop, certainly when compared to my “Homever” cold press juicer and masticator. It effectively juices and is reasonably easy to clean, or at least as much as any other masticator. Three filters allow different levels of clarity to the juice, ie, they let in different amounts of pulp which you can select according to your requirements. It is also remarkably quiet in opration. The juice and pulp go into separate containers. Some items need to be peeled, particularly oranges which can make the juice bitter, but if you are squeezing lemons and also want the rind it is absolutely brilliant. I found that traditional desserts that require juice and rind don’t need nearly as many lemons for the same effect and it is so easy to do. I think it produces the maximum amount of juice for a kitchen tabletop juicer of its type.
Negatively, the filters become clogged easily and if you are juicing a large crop, of grapes, for example, you will need to wash the filters several times which extends the work time required.
Love this product – the juice can be consumed straight- away and doesn’t have that warmth of other electric juicers.
Have used other juicers etc and struggled to clean some parts. This one is easy to dismantle and clean all parts. I haven’t used it in the dishwasher yet but all parts go in (except the electric motor part)- easy to reach for cleaning. Good juice and unwanted pulp is easily extracted. Even has a nondrip sliding stopper where the juice comes out.
Comes with small booklet of recipes which are reasonable for starting off.
Well built product and best juicer I have tried (A prewarning for people wanting smoothies etc can’t use bananas or non juice products as it’s a juicer not smoothie maker)
I have ate so much fruit and Vedge in the form of juice ever since buying this, very good machine 100% worth i
The main reason for me to choice cold press juicer is because it’s healthier.
This is a very good choice if you want to try this type.
It’s slow, so don’t expect a super fast process.
The taste is very good, I would say not much difference than the traditional one
This Ninja Juicer came very well packed and protected, it is not to bulky so can be left out on worktop without taking up to much space, I like that it comes wuth different attachments which give you the option to use the pulp, it also comes with a handy recipe booklet to get you started with some recipe ideas, I am happy with how this has worked and would recommend.
This is a great product.
We were looking at juicers that were 400+ but after reading reviews we gave this one a go.
Comes with a booklet with both juice and pulp recipes. Hadn’t thought of using the pulp before so it’s great that we have a zero waste option.
Brilliant produc
I am super happy with the quality and performance of the juicer. I have a Ninja bullet and was really looking forward to using the juicer as I was hoping it will be as good and powerful, and I was not disappointed.
The juicer is much smaller than I thought it would be, and it is much quieter compared to the old Phillips juicer that I had. There are three types of filters that you can use depending on the type of vegetable or fruit that you want to make juice from. I am the happiest about the fact that I can do juices from kale, spinach, and parsley, where with my other juicer, I could not.
I do have to say it is pretty expensive, but I will be using it for many years plus it is not only for me but also for all my household, so it is definitely worth it.
We have several Ninja devices, the Ninja Foodi, Ninja processor, Ninja Blender. We really like their innovative products and high performance, reliability. I saw the Cold Press Juicer and decided to give it a try.
When opening the box you are presented with a lot of ‘bits’. It can look a little daunting at first but actually the assembly is very simple. Once you have assembled the juicer you don’t have to think about it after that as the machine is very logically constructed. However, we did make a small mistake on our first tryout… there’s a little slide-over juice-trap which needs to be open when juicing, whereas we had only half-opened it. The juice still trickled through but not as fast as it might have done (see the orange-juicing video).
Years ago we had a juicer that was really very noisy and a proper pain to clean. It gradually fell out of favour and we haven’t had one since. That is, until this Ninja arrived. It is a pleasure to use, much quieter than we expected, and so easy to rinse out the parts. It’s a cinch!
My wife tells me that there’s a ‘golden rule’ with juicing, “If you can’t/shouldn’t eat the skin/peel, then remove the skin/peel before you juice it.” I am not going to argue with that maxim.
There’s only one button on the Ninja Juicer, which is great. Actually I guess it’s one button with two functions… if whatever you are juicing causes a ‘jam’ you can reverse the motor by long pressing the button. How simple can you want it? We didn’t have any ‘jamming’ issues though.
We started our first Ninja-juice experience with a bowl full of peeled oranges. The Ninja attacked them with speed and impressive ease. It managed to get a lot of juice out of the oranges and the leftover pulp was totally separated into the waste container, and wasn’t even very wet. We had used the “Low Pulp” filter so the orange was silky smooth (and delicious).
We then tried strawberries, and then mangoes. They also juiced fine, but were slower to juice than the oranges. I think that if you are using a soft fruit things take a bit longer. Since that first day we have tried apples (excellent & fast) and carrots (again, excellent & fast).
There are three supplied Pulp Filters for LOW, MEDIUM and LARGER pulping. Everyone has their preferences and Ninja have given the user plenty of options.
We were really impressed with how absolutely easy the cleaning was. We just rinsed the removable parts and the machine was ready to go again. If you want to clean more thoroughly all the removable parts are dishwasher safe. It’s only the main machine (the big bit with the power button on it) which you cannot wash etc. It’s all fully explained in the User Manual. There’s also a brief juicer recipe booklet too.
As with our other Ninja products, this one performs very well. They are a brand that we trust in this household and so far they have not let us down. We are giving the Ninja 5 Stars rating.
This is really easy to use and gives nice smooth juice so I am happy with that. It does tend to clog up and need to be cleared in between juicing but it’s easy to do so not a huge issue. It’s easy to clean and works really well so I would recommend it.
This cold press juicer is really quite and very easy to clean. Very easy to assemble and disassemble.
You can also choose how much pulp you want to have in your juice.
The only “but” I would say it has is a narrow opening for feeding fruits/vegetables through. You have to cut you products in a small piece for them to be able to pass through the opening. Other than that, this cold press ideal for daily use.
It juices it’s easy to clean and it’s not noisy simple to use
Talk about simplicity I have used many juices in my life and I find them a bit of a faff if I have to be honest! This Ninja juicer is is phenomenally easy to use. With settings for different types of juicing.. and making things easy to use! It is really simple to clean afterwards ready to put away for your next juice sessio
I had a different juicer that I used some years ago but stopped using it because of cleaning and storage. This one is a step up from that in many ways. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed making and drinking various juices so I’ll be back on that again now.
This is a very solid machine that uses a slow juicing method which apparently is better than the cheaper models. I can’t honestly say however that the end product tastes any different but there are lots of observable benefits to this machine.
First up, it is really well made. The quick instructions looked a bit daunting but in reality it is a doddle to use apart from one or two issues that are quickly resolved.
It comes with the high pulp filter installed. Two others are provided and all this means is that there are bigger holes in the mess that lines up to the point where the juice is extracted. A tap covers this point which is a great idea to stop it dripping when you disassemble it to clean the device. Once switched on, the machine is permanently running but is very quiet. Having items cut to smallish sizes (5 cms or less), many of them just go through the press without having to resort to using the plunger.
The on/off/reverse button is on the back so probably best to use this side on rather than guessing whether you are pressing the top or the bottom of that rocker switch.
The one fiddly bit I found (but after a couple of mins resolved) was the assembly for the spout and the part that it locks to. When the spout is removed, the next part of the assembly has to be locked in place with the Ninja logo on top otherwise the spout will not be pointing down.
You will be doing this every time you use the machine in order to clean it. While the majority of the pulp does get collected, there’s quite a bit stuck in the press assembly that has to be removed. All parts are dishwasher safe but I tend to clean everything by hand and reassemble it immediately after use.
Brilliant! So easy to use
Works so well
Quiet compared to juicers I’ve had in the past
So easy to use and clean
Prob one of the best juicers I’ve had
Not massive so doesn’t take much room up which is so handy
Wow. What a gadget! I’ve had juicers in the past but this absolutely outweighs them all. So simple to use and clean. Every last little drop is squeezed out of the fruit. Pulp is collected into a separate pot which I then add to my compost bin. I’m looking forward to trying out different combinations.
This is a good item.
Pros
Easy to set up
Easy to clean
Easy to use
Little waste
Quietish
Cons
Will you use it?
Still a big item to leave on a work surface
Overall? A great item, well made and easy to use. If you want one then this is a great product.
Appearance – I do think this style of juicer is quite ugly, but it is nicer than some. The fact that it is all one colour and is surprisingly small means that it blends into your kitchen.
Assembly/cleaning – it is fairly quick and easy to assemble the juicer and also to take the relevant bits off when you want to clean it.
Result – I have only ever owned normal relatively cheap juicers before and I could immediately see the difference with this one. It is quick and it is surprisingly quiet which is amazing as I live in a flat and juicers/blenders can often be heard through the walls. It does a fantastic job of extracting everything it can from the fruit. I love the pulp filters and the fact that you can separate the juice from the pulp.
Conclusion – this juicer is expensive so I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who just wants to make a glass of fruit juice now and again. However, the fact that it is fast, quiet and so efficient makes it a fantastic buy for someone who uses a juicer frequently.
This is the first auger based juicer that I’ve seen, and I’m very impressed with it. I’ve used it so far solely for making orange juice for Sunday morning breakfast, and for that it worked really well with one or two caveats.
Prepping the fruit was very simple – quarter the oranges, peel the quarters and get ready to put them into the spout. We normally select “smooth” orange juice when in the supermarket, so we went for the medium pulp control, since the user guide says that the low pulp control is not suitable for citrus fruits.
After getting past the anti drip lever challenge (the guide says it has to be open before juicing but there’s no indicator saying which position is open and which is closed – there’s a pictogram but no indication on the pictogram whether that is showing it in open or closed position), I was able to start juicing. The weird thing was: closing the lever up into the body of the juicer opens the valve, opening the lever out from the body of the juicer closes the valve. Surely a bit of thought would have allowed them to make it work more intuitively? Maybe something along the lines of “Pivot the anti drip lever into the body of the juicer to un-seal the outlet, pivot the lever away from the body of the juicer to seal the outlet”.
I then started juicing, and the first two oranges worked superbly. Fed the orange quarters into the chute, pushed them down with the tamper (is it just me, or does the word “tamper” imply “hack, mess about with” rather than “tamping down” – normally, if you mean the latter you’d qualify it with “down”. Anyway, it’s not germane, just a bad selection of nomenclature), and juice rushed down into the juice jug. Excellent!
I then started the third orange and the next snag manifested itself. The juice comes out of an outlet underneath the auger into the juice jug, but the outlet (which has a piece of plastic across it for some reason as can be seen in the photo of the “opened” valve which acts as an effective trap for pulp that has escaped the auger) became bunged up with pulp, so the juice started rising back up into the feed chute. I put it into reverse and that “sort of” cleared it, but when I was done there still a fair amount of juice inside the feed chute.
So, my key learnings: 1) for the anti drip lever, close it into the body to open the outlet and vice versa (?) and 2) keep a pair of long tweezers handy to extract masticated pulp from the juice outlet on an intermittent basis.
Learnings aside, it gave two nice glasses of orange juice (if I were to compare it to shop-bought, I’d definitely say it is equivalent to “orange juice with bits” even though I used the medium pulper), and an extremely dessicated mound of pulp, as can be seen in the photo. I used 3 medium (160 gram) oranges and got back about 250ml of juice. Cleanup was very quick and very easy.
I’d recommend this juicer if you enjoy a well squozen glass of juice, and if you don’t mind messing about a bit to clear pulp during juicing, and if you can get past the sometimes idiosyncratic design decisions.
A juicer that combines a relatively small footprint on the worktop, quiet operation and maximises the amount of juice extraction to boot. There has to be some payback and it is probably in the form of the washing up afterwards, although true of any juicer, this one can mostly be put through the dishwasher to reduce the chore.
Assembly
A quick rinse of the parts and assembly is reasonably straightforward. I had to refer to the manual but it is a logical sequence to follow and everything slots into place with ease. You have a choice of three different levels of filters that produce low, medium or high levels of pulp in your finished drink.
Build and looks
It feels made to last and is reassuringly robust. It has a slick look that means it looks good on the worktop although it will fit into a cupboard for storage if you don’t want to leave it out on display, ready for use.
Preparation
You need to do some work on the fruit and vegetables that you want to juice, such as removing skin from oranges and pineapple (to avoid bitter juice) and most items will need to be cut if they are to fit into the feeding tube. As an example, I sliced a large orange into six segment shaped pieces, which neatly fitted into the tube. You don’t need to peel apples, but just remove the stalk. A bit of labour in preparation produces the best results.
Operation
So quiet! My cats do not like noisy gadgets and will usually vacate the kitchen when they are in use but one was asleep in her basket and didn’t even wake up when this was in operation. So pretty cat-proof.
Fruit seems to pass through relatively easily with minimal intervention from me. A steady stream of juice comes out of the spout and the waste goes into the pulp container. Fruit is mashed around the auger and filtered into juice and pulp elements with a choice of filters to suit all palates and recipes.
Results
This enables a very good level of juice extraction with a minimal amount ending up in with the waste pulp. The pulp is thus very dry and easy to dispose of with other food waste. The juice is not frothy, just smooth and contains very small bits of pulp on the highest filtration and not at the level children are likely to object to consuming.
Summary
This is an attractive juicer that produces a good level of juice with minimal waste. Washing up is a slight chore (a handy brush is included in the package to help make this a little easier) but if done soon after juice extraction, it isn’t too bad. You can also place most parts in the dishwasher to make it easier.
It’s a good size and won’t crowd out a small kitchen. Overall, I like this.
Amazing juicer! I personally prefer my juice pulpless (apart from orange juice!) And this machine delivers an amazing result!
One juice I made was a parsley, celery, spinach, lime and apple, the colour was phenomenal and tasted great! My personal favourite at the moment is watermelon, mint and lemon!
I’ve never used a juicer before so was surprised how easy it is to use it. Yes there’s a few parts that need to be put together in sequence before use and when cleaning but km confident that after doing this a few times I remember the order they go in.
It’s soooo quiet. I was expecting liquidiser noise but my food mixer makes more noise than this juicer, it really is quiet. There’s a little booklet giving you a few juice and Pulp recipes but I’m going to use fruit Pulp in lolly ices and veg Pulp will be used for soups, bolognaise, pesto etc. The Pulp SHOULD be used too because there’s so many nutrients and fibre in the skin of fruit and veg plus if you use fruit Pulp in home made lolly ices it’s another way to get kids to eat healthier. The Pulp can be added to rice oudfjbg, yoghurt, cereal, muesli and more.
The juicer isn’t very big either, it takes up much less room than a coffee machine does.
My first try I used three apples and a carrot, the juice was delicious and the pump is going into ice lolly moulds with a touch of juice.
Using a juicer is a perfect way to use up fruit and vegetables that are a little bit far gone to enjoy as they come. You can’t use things like bananas because no juice comes out of them.
I’m surprised and pleased how easy this juicer is to use and certainly pleased how easy it is to clean. If you like home made soup you coukd use this juicer to prep your veg for a quicker cooking time and use both the Pulp and juice in the soup.
