A large unit with hinged lid, which means the cooker when in use needs to be away from the wall to open lid, but light enough to pull on worktop. Timing and temperature setting takes a while to get used to. Food comes out fine. Easy to clean the pans, but they stay hot for a long time. It is a very noisy machine and takes up a lot of space, but does cook the food well to my liking. Cooking time may be quicker than conventional methods, but they do recommend allowing the unit to warm up before putting the food in.
Bought this, as parents’ over broke down. Found that it has coped with all cooking requirements to date. My only suggestion to Ninja is to have dial controls instead of buttons, as my elderly parents find it difficult to press the small buttons. Would recommend this food grill because it is straightforward to use and long term will save on electricity bills as food cooks very quickly.
We were delighted with the way this Ninja preserves the flavours of the different meats and poultry we have cooked in it, and the chips are fab!

Simply the best, it does overcook food a bit when you keep to the recommended settings but you just got to learn the finesse.

Brilliant for cooking steaks to perfection in a very short amount of time with all the flavour locked in. Roast potatoes, grilled Mediterranean veg, crispy chips, chicken to name a few. Make sure you only use non-stick utensils and clean after every use. Comes with a handy brush for cleaning the griddle which is useful.
Wish this had been part of my life so long ago. One niggle it went down by 20.00 the day after i purchased.
I have grilled lamb chops and a pork roast thus far and it all cooked perfectly.
There is minimal cleaning to do , no mess anywhere just the cooking bowl or griddle, and they are very easy to wash they are coated with a superior non stick coat, better than anything I have ever seen before.
The cooker remains clean, it needs minimal cleaning and there are no awkward bits to reach. I’m amazed, the design of this product is nothing short of brilliant. Will try baking a cake next just to see if it turns out as good as others have stated . I am very pleased with this. My old cooker is mostly unused since I got this cooker.
It’s big ! But I thought the same when I got the 9 in 1 max after a while it just blends in . You do need plenty of kitchen work tops especially if you are obsessed I have a collection now ninja duel and foodie max , grill and one that makes amazing ice cream thick shakes all amazing products, always so easy to clean and the grill is the same . I’m still learning with the grill but food tastes fantastic. Just remember they are fairly big and need a decent amount of space on your work top, hopefully this has helped you

I have been using an Air fryer for just a year and thought I would update and get the Ninja it is excellent. So easy to use, so easy to clean. The food tastes great. I have cooked fried chicken, grilled fish, burgers, roast veg.
You definitely get what you pay for. It’s not cheap but you will definitely get your monies worth.

Superb … I have rarely used my oven since I bought the Ninja. Perfect sweet potato chips, great chicken breast, lovely pork chops, burgers, sausages, lamb chops, frozen or fresh chips, I have even used it to roast a whole chicken … and it turned out perfectly. I know lots of people rave about the Ninja … frankly I was sceptical … but it lives up the all the hype, and I am so glad I bought it.

Great machine. First time I did chicken wings and they tasted like they came off the bbq. Really impressive. Cooking time is halved compared to using the oven. The only bad thing is the smell. I have the 9 in 1 Foodi but this compliments it well. I often use both at the same time. I no longer use my oven.

We find this a boon in the kitchen would not be without it.
This really is a revelation, good BBQ-cooked food right here in the kitchen along with just about anything else you can think of: including perfectly cooked steaks and cheese and ham toasties to die for. Youtube is full of excellent recipes to make sure you get the best from it as well. Yes, it does take a fair bit of space on the worktop, but it earns every inch!
Added this little beauty to my collection of ninja’s! I’ve already got the foodi which I love beyond words, however I wanted something I could keep out in my new kitchen. I literally use this grill every single day- I even make my toast in It! Just this morning I bunged some chicken wings on air fry mode then a quick 3 min blast on grill mode and they went down a treat! The convenience is just unrivalled! Easy to clean with great tasting food that requires little effort!
Good quality build. The heavy grill plate really sizzles the meat and give actual char-grill lines. Cooks really quickly – by the time I was setting up the sides, salad etc it was done. Temperature probe means cooking takes care of its self. Seems involved setting the right programme, on first use, but I know this will become second nature with more use. Food is absolutely great in look and taste which is what it is all about. Probably the best kitchen purchase I have made as it does it all….!

Where was this machine all my life?? Its changed the way I cook. No more waiting ages for the oven to heat up, faster to cook than the oven, hot grill better than the stove, combine cooking multiple different items in layers with no negative impact on cook quality.

Fantastic product l’m trying to cut down eating fatty food, the ninja cooks meat great moist &tender & practically all the fat drains away.
My Ninja health grill is absolutely fabulous. No more frying anything especially when making a full English breakfast. The grilling plate is brilliant and gives your food that charred look without the smoke. Easy to understand instructions and use. I wish I had invested in one of these babies years ago. I’ve also invested in the Ninja 9 in 1 Foodi and the Hot and cold blender/soup maker. I love my Ninjas
I researched this and for my needs I chose this product. Feeding 3 adults I needed the size. Can roast joints of meat including making great crackling on pork (if you like that) so saves loads of messing about with oven etc rather have this on work surface than microwave. Was concerned about lift of lid under the top cupboard but no worries it sort of goes back to lift so does not need loads of room to lift lid fully. Really easy to use and everything I tried was on time or early so overcooked a couple of things as getting used to it. You need to get what is right for you and the size of your family. I love it.
I absolutely love my ninja, I recommend it to everyone and several members of my family have now bought one too ! It’s so easy to use, and so quick to cook.

Overall I would give the ninja food grill 4.5 stars you may ask why? well.. I use to have a breville grill which had two advantages that this ninja does not have and that is you could see the food whilst it was cooking with the ninja you have to keep lifting up the lid to check to what’s going on. The second thing is the ninja does smoke slightly especially when grilling something like burgers.
A very positive aspect for me though is the ninja is well made and the grill plate and inner dishes are of exceedingly high quality non stick and I cannot see them peeling the future which most other makes do including the breville i had before. Plus they come up well either by dishwashing or hand cleaning and the remnants of food just slide off easily. So all in all very happy with this item just have to open the kitchen window if cooking burgers.
My only grumble is that you need cupboard or shelf space to store things ( from all ninjas) as not everything fits inside. If you’re airfrying you have to remove the grill plate and vice versa, similarly both items don’t fit inside at the same time do one or the other has to be stored elsewhere. However that’s a small annoyance for a great kitchen appliance. It compliments my 9 in 1 foodie perfectly.

Love this Ninja combi grill and air fryer. Used it a few times now and it’s easy to use, easy to clean and cooks food perfectly.
Not used the bake or dehydrate functions yet, but definitely plan too.
The grill function creates those lovely chargrill lines on food and tastes delicious.
Can hold to cook 8 sausages or 4 large Chicken breasts at a time.
Highly recommend this great product.
It is rather a large piece of equipment, if you have small kitchen counter tops, or limited space, you may find this on the large side.
Fantastic! The chicken was unbelievable! Mind you it’s Expensive. But it cooks like a chief. Wife cooked fresh salmon to perfection. Haven’t tried baking a cake yet.
Further review after three months of use. The one main point to consider is that it is difficult to clean the top lid. It gathers a lot of grease which gets burned onto the lI’d. To stay on top of it you need to clean it after every few uses. Tried a steam cleaner which didn’t do well. Probably will have to use some kind of solvent cleaner. Such a shame with such a great cooker.

I am like the anti chef, I am no fan of the kitchen. However, I can make all sorts with the minimum of fuss with this great gadget. Also, it’s much quieter than I was expecting after seeing some of the videos. Seriously impressed.
I have been using my Ninja Max Grill for approximately 4 weeks. Having got used to the different methods of cooking I now use it daily. I have cooked – chicken thighs, bacon, liver, burgers, sausages, chips, homemade Irish potato bread, baked potatoes and roast vegetables with minimum use of oil and great success. I do not use it to cook steak.
I absolutely love cooking with it and tasting the results as does my fussy husband ( his choice of adjective! )
I spent a lot of time as usual researching before purchasing and I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase.
Simple to operate. Produces good results. Cleaning could be a little easier but generally not an issue. Definitely worth the money.

The best purchase I’ve made in a long time, it’s really efficient, quick and cost effective, I tend to use my Ninja rather than my main oven and grill now. I’ve used the airfry function, which is great for crisping roast potatoes. Highly recommend.
Food tastes like it was grilled on a gas barbecue but without all the smoke I haven’t tried out all the different things it can do yet but it’s really easy to operate I especially like the temperature probe which when used allows you to use the pre-programed type of meat it even tells you when to flip the meat over and stops when it reaches the correct temp you can choose eg: how you want your steak rare, medium rare, medium or well done, and it’s very easy to clean. I highly recommend this Ninja grill and it looks great too, PS: it is quite large and opens upwards so needs to be placed where nothing is above it, so check the measurements first to avoid any disappointme
Bought this as a replacement to the Tefal healthy fryer, Tried Breville but after two faulty products settled on the Ninja. Thank god we did it’s amazing. The chips are so crispy, everything we have tried has been cooked so well. tried some frozen salmon and the taste was amazing.Even cooked a whole chicken and its so tasty. Cannot recommend enough.

I love this product unreservedly and my main cooker has had very little use since I purchased the Ninja a couple of weeks ago. it contains all the mess of air frying, grilling and roasting and is so easy to clean.
We love our Ninja we use it all the time! We make chips, wedges etc and using the grill function we make the nicest cooked breakfast. It’s easy to use, fairly easy to clean (the grill insert is a faff) and doesn’t take up that much space
Cooking Chicken, burgers and even small lamb and beef joints come out moist and full of flavour. I’ve been able to put the toaster away as it toasts bread very well. The only downside is when cooking fish and burgers it is very smelly, so much so that you have to open the window and shut the door on it.
Absolutely nothing to dislike and buying it on Black Friday with 50 off was an added bonus

Made two baby chickens today first attempt using the roast function. I did have the heat on 220 which was too high in hindsight for 20 mins then I lowered to 180 for another 15 mins. The chicken skin was crispy and cooked really well. I would probably try one baby chicken next time and see if it cooks any different! I did sear the chickens in a pan with butter before putting them in the ninja for roasting. Very impressed for first attempt.
I love this grill, the food cooks very fast and my family have all commented that the food tastes better than done in a conventional oven. I highly recommend

Wish i got one years ago. Great all round cooks food to perfection. Do all my cooking in my Ninja now haven’t used my main oven since I got this.
Why sell a machine that can cook in various ways and not supply the very accessories required to carry out the task??? I have looked on the Ninja website as well as various others ( including Amazon) and cannot get the proper dehydrating rack to fit my Ninja. The round one is easy to find but the square rack for this particular model is impossible to acquire. This is why 4 stars not 5.
Versatile as well in cooking whole chickens, tray bakes and even pizza’s – could this be the students new ‘must have’ all in one cooking tool?

Since it was near bonfire night she did burgers and sausages, she could not believe how fast they cooked, the sausages were done all around in 8 minutes and the burgers on both sides under 10 minutes.
She found the machine easy to use and but not so easy to clean by hand. Food is healthier but also crispier. Steaks turns out perfect. Drying fruit like bananas or apples is a doddle and also delicious fruit crisps.
A neighbour asks if we had tried the baking setting out yet, which is the one we haven’t tried yet. We roasted chicken breasts and veg in it and they took less than 20 minutes and cooked moist and tender.
You get a few recipes but you can also find a few on the net with a google search.
I must prefer this machine to an air fryer as this is like a mini oven where you can cook almost anything in it. Well worth buying well pleased with the quality, performance and how good food tastes.
UPDATE…
This is still going strong for my daughter and she uses it almost every day. Her gall bladder has not played up since using this to healthy eat. I have since bought 2 more, one for me and one for another daughter. Safer and healthier than a deep fat fryer.
