Consiglio.
he adhesion is good, easy to work with, i would recommend noico 80 for sound deadening
This material does it’s job well, but I was surprised by how much weight it adds, which in turn must have some effect on MPG. Unfortunately, it’s made in Russia, so I would not have bought it had I known.
Lined the inside of my Mx5 ND with these. Great stuff if you wear gloves!
Why in the world did i wait 5 years to soundproof my vehicle?
This stuff is an absolute gamechanger. It improved my stereo systems sound dramatically (especially bass). More importantly, my car is near silent now when driving. Even closing the door has a very satisfying sound.
I added the material to the doors, and just a little bit near the spare tire, on top of wheel wheels (inside) and a little under the driver floor mat. I COULD do more, but i dont even need to. It is an absolute improvement.
Its also very very very easy to apply. Get a blade, and cut. Very easy. Remove back strip and stick. Done. Just wear gloves because the thin metal of course will cut you. I got my whole vehicle done in about 2 hours, and most of that was taking off panelling and such.
I will 100% recommend this product to anyone and everyone. Most importantly. The price is fair. Very fair. This is a perfect example of someone confident in their product, and knowing that a good product at a fair price WILL sell.
10/10 will buy again for any new soundproofing needs
Great coverage, Great sound deadening for road noise also, but especially for non rattling while listening to high volume levels
Really liked the product, sound system is way better than it was before. It was my first time applying and doesnt look perfect..but still
Does the job!
Used to quiet down a squarebody cab. Lined entire floor and put large squares inside door skins. Made a big difference with road noise. One box did whole cab. Nice produc
I’ve used many different types of sound deadening over the last 20 years and they are all designed to do the same thing. While this isn’t the thickest I’ve used it’s certainly good value in the larger pack. So far I’ve used 2 boxes to line the inside of my caddy Maxi, floor, roof sides a doors. Not 100% coverage but well covered and makes a good difference. Definitely happy with my choice.
works great, 3rd car I have done, easy to work with, cut, shape, sound proofing is 5 star! getting ready for 4th car, 68 Mustang fastback. highly recommend. last comment done
I used the Noico on my classic Corvette C3.
As this car is fitted with a 5.7 litres V8 engine after 30min drive the heat coming out of the engine bay was making the drive uncomfortable so I decided to use a heat shield.
This is my winter project ( writing this in November) so ask me in Spring/Summer how this stuff performs, but from the installation point of view I can state the following:
– This is a proper stuff and feels a good value for money
– it is very easy to cut with kitchen scissors
– it forms nicely to a required shape and stays that way, so fairly easy to install (note: for a bigger areas do not peel all the backing paper at once -it becomes more flimsy, and rather peel gradually as you go)
– it stick nicely to all surfaces. If not pressed it can be peel off and sticked again.
– it does smell a bit but the “aroma” is not pungent and pees away after a couple of days.
This does exactly what the bigger brand alternatives do. Use gloves, I did and no cuts to my hands. Also I used a wallpaper edge roller to press it into place. Sounds just like a Golf.
Super easy to cut and install. Make sure it’s a bit warm and it’ll contour much better. A roller is a must to get a good install. And make sure the surfaces are clean.
Used these for noise cancellation in the back seat and rear tray. Easy to work with if you don’t over think it. Definitely a slight asphalt odor when the car is hot but only if the car is sitting in the sun for hours. Noise from road and exhaust is reduced substantially but not totally gone.
Not sure yet and finished installing the noise items. The rollers are still not here so not much good to us.
Bought a pack to reduce the compressor noise of my air source heat pump.
Wasn’t bad to begin with – already some insulation, but it was fibre-type insulation which works mostly heat.
Was curious to see if it can be quieter.
Was a little skeptical. It’s just uncured rubber – all it does is add weight to a panel to move it’s resonant frequency to a lower one, while absorbing a small amount of energy.
Also bought a set of rollers (highly recommend for proper adhesion). Used about 1/3 of the pack.
The sheets go on very well. Not too sticky – can be reposition before it’s fully pressed down. When you roller them on, the adhesion is superb.
The aluminium is a nice thick layer. Rolling the mat over sharp screw-ends, I couldn’t get it to pierce through without a lot of force.
Didn’t have access to 1 side of the compressor and below, so it’s not fully finished, but already I noticed a big difference.
Low frequencies eg light load, noise level is about half, compressor is barely audible from 2m away. At full load – higher frequency, noise reduction is about 25% I’d say. Definitely worth the effort so far.
Definitely worth thinking about what you’re trying to achieve. It works amazingly to reduce ‘tinny’ sounding metal enclosures. Sound is an air vibration, and if it comes from vibrating panels, this will kill the vibration and therefore the sound being re-transmitted. It’s not a sound barrier. Enough layers of it will act as a sound barrier, but at the cost of weight.
It’s heavy!!!
having used dynamat, boomMat, fatmat and a few others in the past this is just as good. great stuff and sticks well. some others I found you have to have a heat gun which i used anyhow but this stuff wasnt necessary if i didnt have one. it’ll be a repeat buy for me for sure.
Used this on my 1990 Nissan Hardbody.
In the video, the first door used to be what the whole truck sounded like. You can tell a HUGE difference between the first door and the other door and roof that have already been done. This kit was enough to do the outer door skins with 130% coverage, the inner door skins with 30 percent coverage, the entire roof with 100% coverage, the entire back cab wall with 100% coverage, and about 25% of the floor with 100% coverage. It covered WAY more than I though, but take into account this is a very small, single cab pickup, but still insanely impressed with the quality, effectiveness and coverage. Will be buying more to finish the floor and firewall eventually. It was all very east to install buy cutting the sheets into thirds. The adhesion is really good and the noise cancelation is even better. Was going to buy the much more expensive dynamat and decided to try this first. The deadening this provides was better than I had even imagined the more expensive option would provide. Even at like 30 percent coverage there is a massive difference. Highly recommend, will be buying again.
Seems enough for my lwb transit. I haven’t covered it 100% more like 50% but its made such a difference.
I was going to use more expensive products but I think this is just as good.
Used throughout Ford Model A hot rod as sound deadener and thermal barrier. Installation was straight forward, cuts easily with razor knife or scissors. Car isn’t complete and running yet, we’ll see if it keeps things cool and quiet once it’s driving
It is not the best quality but it’s brilliant for the money.
If you need basic sound down on a budget don’t look any further this be perfect.
Was vlt.
Before cutting, peeling and adhering the mats to the car’s interior, plan the layout. Using a marker outline the cuts. The mats are easy to cut with a box cutter with cardboard under the mat. Lay the cut mat on the area to be covered to be sure. Remove paper backing and gently lay on metal. If the placement is not correct pull mat back up, reposition and then stick in place. Use a roller to roll over mat to adhere. Once it’s stuck just leave it. So “adhesion” is good, “noise cancelation” much better. Rear tire noise is reduced significantly. Easy to install, plan ahead. Have the necessary tools.
Easy to use sticks really well and definitely stops panels vibrating
I put this down as a base layer in a Chevy Express 3500 passenger van. Previously the van had the full factory carpet and insulation but I removed this after the second row of seating to the back doors in preparation to build a moto van. With all the carpet out the van was very loud. Lots of road noise, gear noise, tire noise etc. I lined the whole floor and wheel wells with Noico mat and now it’s nearly as quiet as when it had the full thickness insulation and carpet on it. I still plan on putting rigid foam and 3/4″ plywood down so it will only get better, but I’m very impressed with the Noico. Easy to cut/shape and adhesive is quite agressive.
Amazing the difference it makes to sound on the van – great stuff
Transit Custom Door Skins
So I’ve used this product to sound proof the doors of the van and it’s made a big difference at motorway speeds.
It hasn’t made the van silent but has allowed the stereo to go down two levels.
So using the hands free has also become better as well. Really great product, didn’t use a roller but just pushed with my hand. Cut with a scissors into manageable sizes then stuck into place
It really is worth it to get the real stuff. One layer on my trunk lid and it feels like concrete, compared to peel-n-seal which only slightly reduced the hollow sound on my door panels. If peel-n-seal wasn’t so impossible to get off I’d remove it from my doors and completely redo it with this stuff, but I’ll settle for just leaving it in and putting a layer of this on top.
I was looking for sound deadening for my Ram 2500 and decided to go with Noico. I’ve used the more expensive products in the past but decided to give this a try. I’m extremely please with this product. It is a night and day difference. The speakers sound deeper and more crisp. The install is easy and straight forward. I will be purchasing more to do the floors and ceiling.
The product is easy to cut with scissors or a Stanley Knife. It is very malleable making it easier to cover the awkward pressings. It sticks extremely well without the need for extra adhesive. I covered the floor pan, rear bulkhead and front footwells of my classic car. The road noise was noticeably reduced.
This product is amazing very easy to use looks great too see photos on my ford escort xr3i old 1980s car plus it will add value to your vehicle and of course keeping the outside sound dow
emodel – sound deaden between master shwr and entertainment room adhesion OK use cheap liquid nails spread thin w 2×4 block-stick on sheetrock-hit with heat gun on low. easy to trim. u can use the same 2×4 block to flatten as well
No olvides dar like si te sirvi mi resea, me hace ilusin. 😛
Made all the difference in my MK7 Golf with full turbo back performance exhaust. It is now very comfortable to go for a long highway drive. I put Noico on the floor of the boot and under the rear seats. Still have about half on the 36sqft. I’ll put it in my doors when it will be less freezing outside.
Super awesome sound deadening, I didn’t know how much of a difference sound deadening would make on car doors and floors big difference! This product is totally worth it, I used a little torch to help warm up surfaces and the product itself in the cold weather, the stuff seems to be made of that black tar goo stuff, it works, its cheap, I don’t have any smells, buts winter so when the summer comes we’ll find out, other than that fantastic!
This stuff is AWESOME. I have a 2016 Rubicon and it was extremely loud in the cabin. I got this a treated the entire floor and the doors. The difference is like night and day. And I didn’t have to get the #1 rated brand and pay more because this brand and the #1 are made of the same exact material.
Have used a similar product previously when restoring vintage vehicles. All of these products are essentially identical, the price on this one is what attracted me. Very tacky, easy to trim and fit with the use of scissors. Excellent adhesion. Product says not to be used on exterior of vehicle but this is how I have always used it, particularly to line the engine bay to reflect heat away from firewall to keep passengeer compartment cool and deaden noise. Have never had an issue with peeling, wear or damage, even in wet envornments. Once this material has been applied and pressed firmly in place, it isn’t coming off.
Much thicker and heavier than siless brand. Works much better with only one layer, and with how heavy it is you can double up and use it on top of ccf as a mass loading barrier. But works well and sticks well for its intended purpose as a cld also. Foil is nice and thick which is important in a cld material and I was able to put it on and get great adhesion with a heat gun in 19 degree weather.
Hi!
I am so happy with these sound deadening sheets that I bought 3 packets of it! Still got some leftover for further work still to be done.
Has made my van almost silent! It’s worth every penny.
I was surprised at the weight of these panels. They are easy to use when warmed up and seem to stick really well. Time will tell. Make a huge difference to the noise in tmy classic car so very pleased. Costly but effective.
its worked nice like it doss what says it will do
Easy to install. Easy to cut and to shape into corners. Sticks really well but can be peaked back if need be to make adjustments
Installing it in the cab of the 1971 Chevy pickup I am building.
I put this product through out my GX 470 SUV. I have worked with a few similar products in the past that was about 3 times the price and I honestly could not tell the difference. Perfect thickness and great adhesion to fresh clean metal. Does its job dampening vibration and gives me the extra added feel of sturdiness. If you are doing a DIY install and want to save a few bucks go with this you will be glad you did.
I INSTALLED THESE IN MY CLASSIC TRUCK AND THEY WORK GREAT. THE TRUCK RIDES A LOT QUIETER NOW.
Installed 144sq ft in my 2006 f250 CCSB. Did roof, floor, back wall, and doors.
Its thick, tacky, and overall does great. Getting the wrinkles out of it where its folded in the shipping box is not perfect. Its thick and don’t want to give or stretch.
Does not want to stick or lay down if its below 50 degrees which is expected.
Did make a huge difference in road noise inside the cab. Made audio sound much clearer in the cab. Doors sound solid now.
Absolutely easy to use and adhesion was fantastic!
Absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone wanted to drop the decimals inside the interior of the vehicle
Used on a panel van, fantastic stuff bought one pack for the whole van and now it sounds like closing the door on a rolls Royce
Does the job very well and very easy to use. Definitely recommended.
Makes a really noticeable difference. And definitely advise using a tool to press it down firmly with as this made a noticeable difference compared to just sticking it on with hands.
Put it on the panels of my van, if you tap over the normal panels vs those with sound deadening, the difference is very clear.
Only negative-if cutting it to smaller sizes, wear some sizes otherwise a few “paper cut” type cuts off the metal edges
The easy install made this a great purchase and the sound dampening was significant. Highly recommend this produc
Very easy to apply but best warmed/heated up before applying
This is a pretty good price compared to Dyna mat and I think it is just as good. I have used both.
Works as advertised. You get enough for 4 doors in a mid size SUV if you use i alot of it on each door. I am very happy with this product.
I installed this Noico 80 mil in addition to the red 30 mil thermal insulation. I followed their recommendations of using this on the floor, in the doors, front/rear fire walls, and ceiling. The difference was AMAZING in terms of road-noise and reverberation in the cab at highway speeds. Unfortunately I installed this in a truck, so it will never be as quiet as a luxury vehicle – but incredibly close. I didn’t use a decibel meter to test before/after, but to my ears it’s a world of improvement.
Very happy easy to use, plus it makes a big difference!
Baught for my Vw caddy. This stuff is good but it comes folded. So when your applying the folded part it just leaves it looking a bit poor. Although it will.be covered its just a bit of a shame. Plus makes it harder work to apply due to all the bends. But other than that it does work, sticks on really well and more a less simple to apply and does the job
Used this to stop vibration and noise in my 30 year old defender – works a dream . Easy to cut, place and roll into place. Clear instructions works a trea
I’m very happy with Noico. Works as well as the substantially more expensive name brand products. I would definitely recommend Noico to others, and will definitely use it again on future projects.
Best thing i got for our car.
We have an Aygo, and it sounded hollow when you drove it. Doors sound like an aluminium can when tapping it or opening/closing the doors.
It is especially visible onve you pass the 30 mph on our British roads, really noisy and echos throughout the car.
I have put this on the door, boot and wheel arches. And it is if you drive a completely different car.
Ot took me about 4 hours to fit this to the car. You remove the door covers, cut the material to measurement, peel the paper sticker, place it in place and firmly press it on (i used a roller). Fast, easy and effective.
These 4 hours I spent on fitting this to the car, was the best thing I did. The ride quality is completely different and provides really relaxing and quiet journey.
This works awesome! I used it in my trunk, thunk lid & rear dash 6×9 speakers. There is zero vibrations. It has improved the sound quality the speakers put out. I also used it in my driver door, I use to get soooooo much vibration in the paneling. So much sound lost between the door and the door panel. It has improved significantly!!
I’m just waiting for a dry day, that I’m not working to finish the car.
I bought 1 package to test, there is a lot of material, will definitely be buying another!! It’s worth every penny!!!
