Excellent key safe. A lot more substantial than a lot of other ones. Pretty sure a truck could drive over this box and not put a dent in i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to install (hubby had no issues with it!) Very heavy and sturdy box, think it would take alot to get into it. Easy to set the code, easy to start again if you make a mistake putting the code in, looks like it would be weatherproof but we’ve put it inside our porch so can’t say for certain.
The only thing I’d have preferred is the hook inside to be higher up, just with a key ring it made it a little awkward but this is such a little thing.
    Very happy with our purchase!

    Great key box

Heavy duty, very easy to install. Only thing I would say against the product is that it is not a snug fit on the door closure. There is a little play which is annoying but other then that it feels very secure and a very good product.

Very clear and easy installation instructions. Need strength to drive special screws into brick without any raw plug but very sturdy end result. Very easy to change code. Would definitely purchase again.

Brilliant box. Easy to fit. Good sturdy container. Inside just big enough for yale key.
Only thing I didn’t like or wasn’t sure of .. the buttons have to be pressed really firmly down to release the unit. Anyone with arthritic fingers wouldn’t find this easy to do.

It’s ok. I think overpriced. Had to look on YouTube to see how to set the number pad.
It works ok but fiddly. You have to be precise when pressing in the number buttons and wait for the little click. Inpatient people struggle.

You would have to make one heck of a noise to get into this key bank, and they would probably give up. It gives you confidence just by the weight and design, you can tell just by the look, that you would feel very safe leaving your keys in side. Brilliant produc

This key box is super solid. It comes with 4 large bolts that screw directly into the drilled concrete/brick no raw plugs needed. It’s expensive but worth it when you think about your home security.

Very pleased with this item. I was able to quickly install the keysafe in a brick wall. Setting the code was similarly easy with the supplied card and the switch set to ‘open’. The instructions are detailed but quite clear if followed carefully. No wallplugs needed; just a 5mm masonry drill bit and a 30 size Torx bit.

Good heavy solid unit. Only 4 stars for weatherproof as the front does not have a seal around, it so is a bit loose when closed. So will have to wait until it gets wet to find out how weatherproof it is. Also the cover is just a plastic moulding that clips on to the hinge.

This product is great to help care for a member of the family. The nurses and carers can come in as needed. It hasn’t let any rain in so as long as we have had it it has been waterproof.

Solid, rugged and bulletproof. Initially looking at the picture you probably wouldn’t choose this one because it looks awful. But I chose it because my ancient mum wanted a “police approved” one (there is no such thing), and this is the closest you can get. It is solid and secure, weighs a ton. Absolutely loved the masonry screws which went straight into the brick. It will still be attached to that brick when the house is demolished. Make sure to drill those holes deep.

I found lock fairly easy to fit to a brick wall, but it might not be so easy if it is your first time drilling into masonry.

The protective plastic cover is fine for the environment where I installed my lock: a sheltered location under an open porch. I doubt the cover would protect the lock from driving rain or dust whipped up by the wind.

It’s worth noting that with all locks of this type, it does not matter what order you enter the characters of the code. All that matters is that you enter all of the correct characters and no more.

Great product & easy to install but set up difficult as instructions are poor with 1 step missed out completely. Don’t let this put you off buying a great, secure key box though. Just look at YouTube videos for set up info.

This is a great key safe. It was easy to install and it is extremely well built. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because one of the screws broke during installation. I have read other reviews if this happening and I was unfortunate to experience it. The head of the screw just snapped off. With the price of the safe I would have expected higher quality screws.

There are a few (key safe, key box) styles and quality out there. I use this model for ease of use, ease of installation, build quality and price. This uses a push-button system rather than cogs to enter the correct combination. The push-buttons are a lot easier to use than cogs especially if your hands are cold and the light is failing (winter months). I have installed three of these and have had no issue with water (rain) getting in. The setup of the code for the lock is fiddly the first time but once you are used to it it’s easy.

When you get the item and hold it in your hand and feel the weight of it, you know you bought a sturdy well made key box. It’s more money than the ones that use a cog combination but it’s a security item and well worth the extra cost.

Very secure, surprisingly heavy key safe. Good instructions and video (on Amazon) for installation. Hubbie installed with a few issues. Great template for drilling holes included. Screws supplied but not the wall plugs, which was a frustration for poor Hubbie! Little key thingy for using to create code a little tricky and flimsy to use but did the job. Now need to keep it somewhere safe. Well worth the extra cost compared to cheaper versions.

This is a great key safe large enough for around 3 keys, installs with 4 bolts and directly into a wall. Really couldnt have be easier to program and put up.

It also has a weather proof cover, which not only performing its main use of keeping keys dry makes the key safe look like an electrical junction box making it really concealed even in plain view.

I put mine next to some other cable functions into the house and you wouldn’t know it contained keys.

Great design, easy to set up and keeps keys out of harms way…. no more 4:00am locksmith call outs for me.

Fitted one of these for my sister in law about 2 years ago so know it was a good quality unit very easy to install just one think to remember it comes with screws only and you need a star driver also the screws are masonry screws and screw straight into the brick work so do not use rawplugs just drill a small pilot hole to start don’t go to deep about 3/4 inch you can always go deeper if you need to. They don’t tell you this in the instructions well not that I could see.

Arrived promptly, quickly programmed a code, self explanatory once you open it up. Tried to install as described using correct tools but unfortunately one screw sheared in the recommended 5mm hole (-1 star). Had to replace with one of my own thereby voiding the terms of the warranty. Very solid once installed and looks inconspicuous when placed near external electric boxes and mains boxes with a ‘danger – electric shock risk’ sticker on it. Overall good value (especially when compared to locksmith callout charge) and satisfied!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought to allow family and carers to access the key to my Dad’s house when he was very ill and being nursed by a remote nursing team from the local hospital. Unlike cheaper units, this is built solid and my brother mounted it by placing four bolts through a hardwood door, nearly burning out his drill bit in the process. Against dark door and mounted on the hinge side, once the weather cover is in place, it can’t be seen easily from the road and it is only when at the door is it obvious. The code that you enter is not sequential as described cleary in the text and the entries can be punched in in any order so be careful how many keys you program in to make the code hard to crack. We feel very reasured now that we can all look after Dad or that emergency services can access during the small hours before we are able to get dressed and reach him ourselves.

Arrived on time and well packaged. Good heavy weight and solid keysafe. Feels mor like a small wall safe. Easy to install and set code. Just be aware that numbers from the code dont neccessarily need to be in sequential order to open the lock. You also dont seem to be able to use a number more than once. I did have 1 of the supplied masonary bolts shear off before it was tight despite frilling the hole 10mm deeper than the length of the bolts. I will be requesting another bolt from the manufacturer.
    Otherwise pretty good all round.

We had to install this for an elderly relative who has become frail and has early dementia, numerous care workers have to enter her house either on a daily or emergency basis. It is secured with specialist screws which an inexperienced DIYer would not have the bits for. I also found that the brick wall I installed it on required the more effective SDS drill. For this reason if you have the slightest doubt about installing it I would get in a professional. It works well although some people using it get confused when they make mistakes with the keys and find the cam free . turns. So it is probably better for people who have not experienced using one like this before to have a supervised practice at opening it. The one security weakness I have noted is that care workers tend to leave it open when the keys are out, this leaves it possible for a malign person to “harvest” the setting details if they have knowledge of how the product works.

This was purchased to replace the same item installed 4 years ago. The keysafe had been used 8 times (on average) per day for that period with no issues during that time & would take some major industrial kit to remove it (if fitted correctly) let alone get to the key inside. A big bonus was dimensions had not changed so i was able to simply remove the bolts & replace unit without drilling.

The Keysafe was only replaced because the buttons appeared to be getting slightly vague in use & i didnt want it to fail.

It is straightforward to set & use & i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this for anyone wanting to give trusted persons, say for instance Health Carers, external access to keys.

Very well made and seems to be solid to withstand anyone trying to force it open, setting of combination easy enough if you read instructions. Nicer to have more options on a combination as you are only limited to using each number once, so you can’t repeat a number.

Definitely recommend using the template to drill the holes for mounting the key safe only took 10 minutes to have it attached to the wall and ready to go.

Very pleased with the item and also like it has the built in weather shield covering the keypad which not only protects from the elements but also makes the item less noticeable as a key safe

  49. Piera Jolly says:

Good product. Very sturdy. Only problem it advises to use a 5mm masonry bit. The holes are too big for screws. I advise a 4mm at the most. Maybe try a 3mm you can drill out larger if need be.

It is correct what other people have said about this key safe in regards to the combination once it is set you only have to hit the digits in any order to open it. But I am impressed, as to it’s very solid construction I would of given it 5 stars had it not been for the lock’s combination issue. In spite of that I would still recommend the Key safe.

  55. WilburChisholm says:

A nice and sturdy keysafe with a hinged rain shroud, bought for use by an elderly relative. As noted elsewhere the order you press the buttons is irrelevant and you can only use each number/letter once. That means there are fewer different codes than with some other locks.

Key safe comes with a masonry kit (screws only) but NO RAW PLUGS and NO DRILL SIZE INSTRUCTION. Come on, it wouldn’t have taken much more effort to provide a COMPLETE kit with instructions. Only reason for giving 2 stars for installation.

For those concerned about the sequential keypad input. There are 4096 different combinations. 30 seconds for a combination would take 33 hours give or take to crack the keypad. Which is alot longer than it would take to kick your door down. Just mount your safe securely, hidden, and maybe have CCTV covering the area. Top product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur keys are safe and secure. It is well fastened to the wall: the bolts are impressive and ground into hard brick very well. It is of course outdoors: indoors would be pointless. To call it a ‘device’ is ‘posh’: it’s a box, and a very good one.
One feature is the code. There are twelve alphanumeric characters, of which you can choose six. This can give you a large number of possibilities to confuse the unwary criminal.

We inherited one of these when we moved into our house. There are cheaper alternatives on the market but this is a really solid piece of kit and I imagine would stand up to a lot of abuse if somebody wanted to try and break into it.
Codes are easy to set and it’s nice that it has a weatherproof cover that covers the unit. Not a great deal of room inside but we can easily store a couple of keys and and an alarm fob in ours.
It’s really nice to have a spare set of keys available attached to the property without the need to bother anybody else.

This purchase was a gift to my parents just after they moved as they could have a spare set available (rather than trust an unknown new neighbour).

It comes with the correct fixings to ensure that it is as secure as the manufacturer intended (if you relocate it you’ll need to buy new fixings direct from them)

  67. OVBLelascao says:

The code is easy to set and key in to open – IF you know the code. 11 year olds+ can manage it. There is a decent amount of space inside as small key safes go. It resists attempts to break in to it as long as it does your front door so you don’t invalidate your house insurance locking a key in one of these.
It’s not cheap, but it is very good.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this as a replacement for an existing GE Supra C500 key safe. The original was broken as someone used a screwdriver to change the combination – easily done ! This new unit feels solidly build and robust. Coding the safe was easy using the provided plastic card, and the instructions to fit were all straightforward.

Only surprise is that the safe arrived in a cheap, plain unbranded box and there was no branding (other than “SUPRA”) on the safe itself. I expected to see GE embossed on the faceplate and it to be clearly branded a GE product – it was not. The distributor of the safe in the UK is Key Safe. I did a quick search on the Supra brand but found nothing. All very odd and a little concerning given the volume of cheap, knock off products coming from the Far East.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersMy first impression was that is very heavy. I am willing to accept it is difficult to force entry into as a normal house front door.
I get the feeling the operating instructions were written by someone with English as a second language.

To fit it you will need access to Torx bits for the screws. I can not recall the exact size, I just picket the right size out of my tool kit.
One thing I disliked was the paper template used to mark the positions to drill. It’s not pre-punched, so accuracy is lost poking holes in the very thin paper.
Then, masonry drills on rough surfaces like house bricks have the habit of wandering off target when drilling.
My recommendation is to get a bit of wood 1cm thick and use the key-safe as a template and drill holes in the wood. You can then drill one hole in the brick work, and screw the bit of wood to the wall, drill the second hole using a hole in the bit of wood to hold the drill bit in place, screw the second screw in, and so on. Worked for me.

Seems like a solid bit of kit, very heavy duty. Easy to fit and use one you have figured out the instructions.
….the instructions are useless to change the code…written in 3 different places, a paper one that tells you nothing, a red label inside the safe that tells you what to do and then more under the label telling you how to do it.
