This Nutribullet is bigger than most, and struck me as being somewhat industrial. I use it for smoothies and soups.
For smoothies you put the ingredients in, put the lid on, place it into the (switched on) base and it starts up automatically on a two minute cycle. It makes a great job of smoothies and they come out very smooth. When the smoothie is made, you might think it is not as cold as you would like, but using some frozen ingredients or some ice will sort this.
For soups, you use a different jug and a different lid, and the cycle goes on for seven minutes whilst it heats the soup up. The soup comes out a bit foamy, but I don’t mind this. The soup is hot enough after seven minutes, but they don’t advise you to repeat the cycle if it goes cold. You should then microwave it.
For smoothies and soups the cycles stop automatically when they are complete, which I find useful.
I am pleased that I bought this, as the smoothies are really smooth.
One drawbacks being the loud noise, otherwise 5*.
Worth every penny.
blends very well, veggies and fruits even from frozen, when you made soup I recomend to precook the veggies a little bi
I’ve used my Nutribullet for soups and smoothies. The soup maker is quick but the soup tastes slightly frothy. Its ok but I have been blending then cooking in the saucepan, Yes a bit longer but results worth it.
The switches could be more user friendly in terms of ergonomics and which you switch and when
Smoothies, which was the main reason I bought it, are amazing.
I like the power and the way it blends my heart ingredients. This particular model makes hot soups, the only thing I don’t like is that it is loud. But otherwise I love i
There is NO included recipe books and NO good soup recipe books for this blender. Many books say they are for the RX but are, in fact, general soup recipes
I wanted a powerful smoothie blender
This one does it well for me
Automatic blending is a bonus
The smoothies are great! However, when making soup it has a very strange aftertaste.
Using it commercially and it is great. A lot quieter and it comes with more jugs than our old “commercial” blender which broke after a year. Highly recommend and we use it hundreds of times a week.
Some say it is loud but I think these people must have lived in privaliged out of the way rich mansions while covered in cotten wool for protection.
Nutribullet RX the best value for a blender on the market and by far the best blender I have ever had 10/10
This is a bit of a cult product & rightly so, it’s so quick to wiz up a smoothie, it will even blend bits right into the smoothie.the blender is on a timer so u can carry on with other things once it’s done it’s thing. The travel cup of fab too so you can smoothie on the go
Would have given it 5 stars if not for the very loud noise it makes !!
What a great purchase Super fir smoothies and soups and nut butters. Powerful quick and easy to clean. Buy one you won’t regret i
It is not often that I go overboard in describing how useful a piece of equipment could be, but I am making an exception in this case. I have been more than satisfied in every respect!
Very impressed with ease of use and the monstrous power. Will blitz anything. As with all blenders very easy to clean and store. A def must buy.
Been putting off buying one for ages wish I hadn’t game changer for ice coffee. So easy to use and clean. Cuts frozen fruit and berries no issues.
Works really well, blends easily enough and makes plenty of nice smoothies 🙂 no problems so far, have had it for 2 months and would highly recommend. The additional soup jugs are great too, big time saver!
Excellent must have kitchen utility in a house full of demanding kids
In a word “brilliant” Especially the hot soup function. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds, 7 minutes later piping hot fresh healthy soup.
I use mine most day to make smoothies.
Very powerful, a little noise if stood near it while it’s doing it’s thing, but would recommend it to anyone.
This is a great product we use it everyday for smoothies
The soups and smoothies are very smooth and have nice texture. Happy with the purchase. Smart function lets you do other chores.
Easy to use but noisy and I am getting some electrical burning smells similar to the ones when you get a new kettle
hopefully this will go away in time . the 600 model is better value for money.
still not tried to make a soup yet.
Wow this is a beast of a nutribullet.
The actual size of the blender was bigger than expected but man does it have power. You can see the difference in size from our previous one on the picture.
It blends super fast and easy. Its very sturdy and powerful. It has a on/off button
Great quality and can look past the size cos of the power and very easy to clean.
I love it!!!
Other reviews have mentioned this but I can definitely confirm that this is STAGGERINGLY loud when operating. So much so that I – no joke – wear my industrial-grade ear defenders when using i
I jast love it. I had the older version and was very pleased, I decided to give it away to my parents and order the latest model.
Not expensive taking in consideration the amount of years it will serve you.
Great product, blends everything you throw at it. Seeds and grains included. So glad to have this. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic. ~150 really well spent and completely changed my relationship with smoothies. Hugely recommended for anybody who would like to try and test more green and fruity drinks!
Have been using product for past couple of weeks and though I did have a couple of mishaps to start with, eg was puzzled initially how to switch to hot/soup mode – set running as blender then whilst running press button down for couple of seconds and turns to red – I had assumed I had to wait for it to stop, the results have been excelle
I bought the very first nutribullet 600w when they first came out and it still works, then I bought the 900w which still works but I’ve given it to my mum so I bought this one and I thought great I can make soups. I agree with one of the other reviews you would have to cook some ingredients first e.g. garlic or onion – I made a soup and it was horrible and tasted of raw garlic. Also I’m not sure if it is my machine but it blends the whole time it makes the soup which went really frothy and spilled out over the top and I had to turn it off half way through – I had visions of it heating the ingredients for 7 minutes then blending it all at the end. The blender is great tho — so will just use as a blender – but for me the downside is that it blends for a minute which is too long and some smoothies end up really thick which is ok if you like thick smoothies — it would be great if it was 30 seconds — upside is you can walk away and leave it blending and come back to it which is good. It is no where near as loud as the others i’ve had – but it is loud – so I just walk away from it. For making soups I will just do as normal on the gas and then blend is this super fast blender. This is a completely honest review
Having used a cheap one of these i decided to invest in a nutribullet. This is amazing it even makes soup what a bounus
I’ve no idea what sheerness is! Very effective at liquidising veg. Great for fruit smoothies too. Rather noisy tho and easy to unscrew the base when removing it from body, which causes leaks.
Hence 4 stars rather than 5.
Recipe book next to useless. Also, a large plastic arm supplied that there’s no reference to anywhere; so, no idea what it’s for. Likewise, where and when to deploy the thin brush. The vented lid is too tough to turn left or right, if you do manage either direction it then won’t move again at all.
Making one ‘blast’ in the short cup was fantastic; but required hours of googling for different values. Just one recipe called for 1-cup fresh spinach, 1-cup of almond milk, 1-cup of frozen pineapple and 1-cup of fresh peach slices (+ several other – but at least able to measure – ingredients). The actual weight value of each of these single ‘cups’ – which is what you need when measuring materials that vary not only in physical state (solid vs liquid) but different densities within a state (frozen pineapple vs leaf spinach) – varied massively and took much laborious research. In order 1-cup of each ingredient actually worked-out at: 30g, 240g, 160g, 120g, respectively, and even those figures are averages with different sources quoting different figures…
Worst of all, Nutribullet are still selling new stock, with an instrction book referring you to “www.nutriliving.com” to complete your own personal healthy ‘blast’ menu, a website that has been down for years!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE and actually, quite worrying.
I am enjoying this beautiful blender, glad I got it.
The best products and value. Easy to make cakes, smoothies and soup!!!!
How I could live without that blender?
Absolutely lives up to the hype. Made a banana smoothie and was so unbelievable smooth. It blends so fast it actually made the smoothie warm so make sure to add a bit of ice. Also made the mix for cupcakes. They turned out I credibly fluffy but required a little more cleaning in the blade section because of the butter. Great machine so far. Love it!!
For me this is the best nutribullet. Easy to use, very good blend. You don’t even experience any issues that the other products have. You have great smoothies is ONE minute! Nothing beats that! I don’t use the soup maker a lot but it’s great to have it as an option.
A good blender for smoothies and soup. However, it is very loud – much louder than I anticipated.
The product did arrive with the usual security tape removed. This was a concern.
It’s bigger than I expected, and also a lot louder than I imagined it would be! But it blends the drinks so quickly that it’s not a problem.
The hardback book which comes with it is really helpful and packed full of recipes.
The Nutribullet YouTube channel is also worth a visit for tips and ideas.
It’s been great to see my children trying so many things they wouldn’t normally as the smoothie concept makes fruit and veg so much more interesting for them.
I haven’t tried the soup mode yet – but think it’s worth mentioning that ingredients have to be cooked (in the oven/slow cooker) and cooled before they’re added to the blender. The blender basically then liquifies and heats the soup through.
All in all I would recommend the RX and am excited to try lots more smoothie recipes!
superb will huy over and over again.at last I found something that can do all i want.
I ordered a vibrator and they sent this!?! What do they want me to do BLEND MY BITS?!?! Having said that it does do a great job at blending my bananas and plums would defo recommend.
I found the nutribullet easy to use and also to clean, however the only thing I noticed it’s that the machine it’s much bigger than expected (probably due to the super powerful engine).
I never tried other blenders, I think that this is good quality for a good price (i.e. vitamix is much more expensive and doesn’t have the hot soup feature).
It’s perfect to prepare a quick breakfast with fruit, yogurt, milk, seeds or a soup for lunch/dinner.
I really like the recipe book which comes with the nutribullet rx.
The delivery was amazing: Amazon estimated 10-12 days, but actually I got it delivered only 2 days after I placed my order!
no problem With grinding nuts and similar things, it takes a few seconds and everything is ready
I am very happy with this produc
It is easy to use and has a powerful motor. It blends soup very quickly.
Best nutribullet I’ve owned. Easy to clean and extra large size jug
Brilliant I tried it out with my frozen fruit and veg lovely smoothie and very refreshing one happy custome
THE Best Nutribullet tool in order to have a healthy lifestyle
Brilliant…Made delicious soups…Drinks…Nut & seed butter all in one machine.
Thank you to the manufacturers. I am very appreciative. It’s a really a good product. Very powerful blender. The recipes on YouTube about making hummus recommend the blending time as 3 minutes but with this excellent product your blending time is 30 seconds.
Highly recommended
Loved the shape, style & efficiency of this machine! Use it every day ..the whole family loves it ..every juice is different!!
Amazing blender producing super smooth smoothies … still to try the soup making.
Good value, superfast delivery
What a fantastic product, if you like smoothies this is for you.
This is so worth the money leave no bits which i wanted love i
I like the blending power, quality of material, and love the function to blend and heat my soup.
Easy to use and quick to make healthy smoothies and soups. Fairly easy to clean too.
The Nutribullet is powerful enough to deal with anything I throw in it. Quick, easy and powerful
I have used the blender almost daily for smoothies. I add frozen fruits with fresh fruits soya milk etc to make delicious drinks. I haven’t used the soup maker yet.
Love this item use it most days before going for a run and husband blitzes a smoothie before work each morning
Looks awkward to use but very straight forward.
A little hard to clean the grinder A* otherwise.
Great price for a bullet that is not a copy. Use all the time and it helps me loose weight.
Amazing product – worth every cent! The soup function works really well.
It Arrived on time, very big size for the family. Very easy to use and clean.
seriously, just aaying its powerfull does not do this justice, just standing next to it sends shivers down your spine, is also quite loud like someone is tearing around your home in a quad bike and that kind of noise non stop for 60 seconds can at times be LOUD !! but thats a minor niggle..
has tons of extras, cups, a tall jug, another tall jug with a front opening to pour into whatever you like easily..then theres the blade extractor, i say just replace the whole flipping blade attachment as its only about 14 quid and saves loads of hassle
overall, i love it,literally just blended my first smoothie, apple, pineapple and peach, bunged it in the fridge for a bit to chill …took me 5 mins from chopping into pieces to having the smoothie all done !
Haven’t stopped using it. Been doing the Jason Vale ‘Superblend me’. Incredibly easy to use and, importantly, wash afterwards!
Exactly what I have expected ! So many recipes to look forward . But butter ! And aai bowls ! Amazing machine with great speed and size !
Superb product. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
It is fantastic and nice and big 10/10 top quality produc
The different accessories are very handy.
Great, great product.
So I bought this nutri bullet to try and help improve my diet to help manage IBS. It’s a great product. Easy to use, easy to keep clean, delivers perfectly smooth ‘smoothies’. I can’t fault it. I’ve been using it with frozen fruit, frozen veg, ice etc with no issues.
Be warned, when making soup it is noisy. Otherwise very well made and an aid to eating more fruit and vegetables.
great smoothies, I have not tried it for soups ye
Works as it should. Great recipe book. Very happy with the purchase.
This model is almost as powerful as the vitamix and cooks soup quicker. The first time I made soup I was so shocked because in 7 minutes the soup was smooth and piping hot. Next time I make soup I’ll probably just run it for 5 mins!
The quality of the smoothies and banana ice cream it produces is excellent! I’ve yet to make peanut butter but apparently it is great for that also. So far there is nothing that it is unable to pulverise.
The blender comes with a handy cookbook that contains recepies for smoothies, soups and butters which is actually very helpful. It comes with 3 containers my favourite is the pitcher. Very useful for soup making and also large drinks.
My only criticism is that it is quite tall and large so if you are looking for something that is shorter than your counter top this is not it. The base alone fits easily underneath. I did find that no blender of this size/type is able to fit under my low counter tops.
If you are wondering wether to buy one and you were initially sceptical because of the bad reviews I would really suggest you take a chance. Very good results and I would and have recommended to family and friends.
Now a staple in our kitchen – I use it at least daily.
So far this has been used to make soups and smoothies, as well as ice crushing for Margaritas (consumed purely for R&D purposes of course). If there is a ‘downside’ to this product, it is that it is so powerful is smooths, pulverises and generally goes about its business much more quickly than you might be expect. I like my soups a little bit chunky but if you’re not careful you’ll get a finely pureed mixture. So less is more and generally instills confidence that this beast will take no prisoners – it pulverises anything you care to throw at it (in a caring, culinary manner, of course). Well it does have a 1700W motor (more powerful than our vacuum cleaner!) and blades a surgeon would be proud of.
Funnily enough, if you have some left over veggies from Sunday lunch this does a great job in turning them into a nice Winter Warmer soup for Monday. Even the kids like the results, which will surprise them when they read this as broccoli and parsnips are part of the mix.
I’ve attached some photos for a very simple smoothie which was no challenge for this unit of course, but shows how easy it is. Washing up is easy too, as it all disassembles quite nicely.
It’s quite a tall unit so we store it on the counter-top, partly so that it is always to hand, and partly because there’s no way this would fit with ease into any of our under-counter cupboards. It is a beast in many ways.
The recipe book is a nice bonus although if you’re upgrading to this unit you probably have a number already. I’ve been told by a person who has the ‘standard’ version of this unit (and with which she’s very pleased) that this one is definitely in another category. I don’t know if that was a hint or what but she’s not getting this one from me!
The standard one is good; this one is better. If you can afford it, get this version.
The Nutribullet Rx oozes quality from the moment the main unit and ancillary accessories are removed from the box.
Being the ‘adult’ version of the original Nutribullet it’s quite a tall unit when in full soup mode!
The base unit houses the very powerful motor and just two controls – one the power button that is situated to one side plus the central mounted function switch to switch between smoothies or hot soups.
Getting familiar with operating the unit is made easy by the more than adequate amount of printed material included in the package including a quick start pamphlet, full user guide plus a 165 page full colour hard back recipe / guide book; although the latter is clearly aimed at the North American market.
Whilst I’m not a particular lover of smoothies, the ability to ‘knock-up’ a quick soup was what drew my attention.
It truly is as easy as preparing and adding the ingredient to the Souperblast container, attaching the extractor blade, switching on and S electing the soup mode.
The built-in program takes about 7-8 minutes including a short period about 4 minutes in where it pauses such that heavier ingredients sink to the bottom ready for blending.
I love the nutribullet; I think they should be government issue for everyone, especially those with children. Mine get their 5 a day without even realising it. Mine (like most) will not touch spinach or broccoli, but they have them every day. Most of my family got one from me for Christmas, I cant recommend one enough.
The base unit is very large and relatively heavy. It fits under our counter with the small jug on but it would struggle under lower units. So I’d advise thinking about where you might place this or store this in your kitchen. The base unit alone is 24cm high (compared to 19.5cm of the standard Nutribullet).
The unit comes with a hard backed recipe book which is a really nice addition and gives plenty of options and ideas for things to make.
If you can afford this, then get it over the standard one, I can clearly see the difference between the two – but the standard one is great if you can’t stretch to the price of this one.
“I have owned a normal Nutribullet for a while now and I love it. It makes smoothies wonderfully, and although I do not use it every day I do use it frequently. Not any more. This new Nutribullet Rx is so much more powerful and it makes soup! This is such a boon in our house, as both of us adore soup and I make it very often, but it is so much easier now with this device. Before I had to cook the vegetables and then use a hand held blender to make it smooth and consistent in texture, but now it is all done for me. So simple to operate and within minutes you can have soup for lunch, dinner or even as a quick warming treat after being out in the cold, and it is hot, not warm, hot.
So very easy to use and we love it. The only downside is its size. It is mahoosive and takes up a sizable area in our relatively small kitchen. It does not fit between my counter top and my cupboard, so it has to live in a lower cupboard, which is fine for storage but means I have to hoist it out to use it. It is not super-heavy, but not feather light by any means, due to its powerful 2.3 horsepower motor and 1700 watts of power. Please do not let this put you off buying this wonderful machine. I would imagine it is perfect for preparing baby food (ot applicable in our case), as it blends it so smoothly and you can put any vegetable in it and nothing is overpowering.
In the winter it means that you can make the most of any cut price vegetables and save money. It was very useful for our household this Christmas, as I made a load of soup out of leftover vegetables and then froze what was left in portion-sized bags. I have no sad parsnips sitting in my fridge waiting to be reheated. The turkey went in too. Another good thing about it is that it does not dance about when in use, which is useful, and it’s relatively quiet, but I am used to the normal Nutribullet, which is quite loud with its grinding of ice and frozen fruit.
So powerful, and with the hands-free technology and automatic stop/start function it makes it so easy to eat more healthily now, in both summer and winter.”
