I use this for an additional cable for my MacBook and it’s works really well so very happy with this cable!
This product works very well, I was getting tired of using the Quest’s wireless desktop mode due to the constant delays which is due to the Quest 2 connecting to the internet and your computer. The link helps by securing a direct connection to your Quest and Computer.
It works exactly like the official cable but without the expensive price.
Whilst the cable doesn’t have the “premium feel” of some of the other cables out there, it is also cheaper than many. I’ve tested it with my Oculus Quest 2 and it works fine. At 16 ft it also doubles up as a decent length USB cable.
I am using this cable to power my security camera which needed a very long usb lead.
I have seen these ‘oculus’ cables listed and wondered if they were USB cables as they looked so much like them but this is the first time I have seen a listing that actually says they ARE usb ends.
The length of cable is exactly what I wanted because it means the camera can go pretty much anywhere in the room and still be plugged into a permanently plugged in USB outlet .
This is what you would want for your VR application too of course.

The cable is round and very flexible.
One end is the full sized (male )USB shape and plugs into any standard shaped USB outlet , the other end is (male )USB C and fits the camera slot so YAY
It looks to be a well made cable with the USB C end allowing the plug to be at right angles to its socket which allows for a lot of movement of the cable without actually flexing the plug in its socket.
It has decent hook and loop type cable ties for tidying it away.
You can register with the company to extend the warranty by 2 years.
Works perfectly. Make sure you use a USB 3 port on your PC if you have one.

his worked really well when you connect the cable to a computer you need to actually put on the oculus and allow it to access data and enable oculus link really long cable and works really well if you wanna play steamvr you have to download and it’ll work on anything above a 970
My original oculus wire broke , and it was for the type c port on a pc
this new wire just plugs right in to any 3.0 usb slot , and works perfectly
and its a hell of alot cheaper , then buying the official one off oculus’s website

This cable is a great alternative to the official link cable. The cable is strong and durable and has a great length to it so that you can easily use this without getting all tangled up.
The cable comes packaged nicely so there is no damage to the cable before you get to use it. The cable also comes with an inbuilt ‘twisty’ so that you can keep the cable neatly tied together.

The quoted max transfer speed for this cable is 5GBps, which means it is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable. Now, the thing with a lot of these cables is that the 5Gbps is what is called “theoretical” and not actually what you get when using day-today, as this depends on many variables. With the equipment I have got, I am not getting anywhere near that. Although it is positioned for use with the Quest 2, it can be used with other USB-C devices.
With regards to the charging performance, the spec states it to be 5V/3A and anything equal to or above 2.4A is classed as fast charging. So, I connected it to a fast-charger and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, which had a 18% battery charge. I was getting 9V/1.64A. I would expect the get a lower output at a higher voltage. Therefore, this was in line with my expectations.
This is a more traditional type of cable, rather than the usual nylon braided ones I tend to get and as such, is quite flexible, more so than a nylon braided one but not as durable. Both connectors are well finished and there is a rubberised sleeve that goes down onto the cable. These are usually quite flexible, allowing the cable to flex without putting undue strain on the wiring inside, but these feel quite ridged and quite short. Which sort of negates the point of having them there in the first place.

This link cable is a great budget alternative to the massively overpriced original/official link cable; whilst not exactly the same, it does function the same, and is flexible and lightweight enough to be connected whilst you’re using it comfortably.
Also, the entire cable can double as a PC connection or simply a long cable for keeping your Quest juiced up while playing (although, that kinda defeats the main point of the Quest…)
This cable supports 5Gbps data throughout (equal to the official Link cable), so if your wifi network is crappy and prevents an enjoyable Air Link experience, you can hook up this cable up to your PC/laptop and access and play your desktop library of games in a matter of seconds!
Anyway, I think it’s a great replacement for the official link cable, I would recommend it, rather than 89 GBP…
