Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI wasn’t sure my old monitor was giving me correct readings as it was about 5 years old. I ordered this one and I have realised my old one was wrong. Its so easy to use and quick and accurate readings. Great with the App as you can see your history and compare.

Product arrived in its original box with an address label stuck on. The box had been opened – there was no security seal tab to break. I had expected a sealed unit. Was this a returned item? However contents all in box and product works as expected.

Saw one of these on my Docs desk when he checked my blood pressure. Good job that it indicated what my BP was earlier that day. Simple to use (just push go) and you can select two memories…one for me and one for the wife and can compare notes. Batteries seem to last for ages too. Does what it says on the tin.

Love the app, very useful to have all BP readings automatically on my iPhone, with me whenever I need. We bought because it’s the same one the GP uses, so for accuracy sake it feels like the best choice and it’s worth spending the money since we use it everyday!

I bought this model as it is a basic one and all I need to know is the BP and pulse results. It scores 10 for this but not the cuff which is very stiff. It fits my arm which is quite slim but I doubt it would be any good on a medium to larger arm. A larger cuff would have to be bought.

Looks like a good product and recommended by my GP – lucky to survive delivery by Amazon driver – chucked over my 6ft + gate onto a concrete path with just a brown paper bag covering the box by someone who couldn’t be bothered to ring the bell.

I’ve been using a Withings BPM for several years now – and that, in itself, has given me high blood pressure! The OMRON monitor doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the Withings does – and the two-part design is not as attractive. But it has one major advantage – it WORKS! The Withings requires about ten attempts in order to obtain a single reading. There is no chance of a double-reading which is what doctors ask for. The OMRON just works as required. That’s all I ask for. AND it is about a third the price of the Withings.

I’ve used an Omron unit before and it was great

Unfortunately lately I’ve been using another brand (A & D) but didn’t find it very useful; readings were all over the place

This Omron has a memory function, 60 readings, as well as two users

However probably the absolute best thing about it is the cuff; it’s pre-formed and simply slips on your upper arm with ease. The unit lets you know that you have placed the cuff perfectly with an ‘Ok’ lit on the lcd display

It’s also pretty quick to pump up and then give you a reading

I noticed that my GP uses an Omron unit very similar to this one

Honestly you cannot go wrong with an Omron blood pressure monitor and this one is particularly good

    Very very highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought the Omron X4 Smart to replace a pharmacy branded BP monitor after I was asked to keep a record of my blood pressure after an episode of chest pain that ended with a visit to A&E. Using the X4 Smart makes it so easy to keep a record of measurements via bluetooth and the Omron connect. The app has the ability to email reports to your registered email address. Three formats are offered, excel, pdf and csv. I personally like the pdf format as it includes a graph of your readings as well as a list of them making it easy for your doctor to review them. I’m only about two weeks into my month of regular reads for my GP but I think I’ll make it part of my daily routine going forward.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersAs I am of advancing years and waistline my blood pressure has become an issue. This device provides me with the means to self measure my blood pressure at home and provide the results to my doctor by email so he can determine if my medication is correct. The device provides all the information that is needed to complete this task. The device provides similar reading to the ones my doctor gets on his machine so I am inclined to trust its accuracy. If you are intending to buy one you need to check the cuff size is adequate for you (22-42 cm).

The device is battery powered and comes with a set of 4 AA batteries. There is a port on the back of the device that says 6V DC but no mains adapter is supplied. The controls are minimal and easy to learn. The device records the results in memory and has an internal clock that needs to be set up. The devices allow two separate accounts for the recording of test results. The account to be used to record the results to, or view the results from is selected using a switch on the front of the device. A toggle switch allow the scrolling through of the stored results data for the selected account.

Iv compared this to readings obtained on hospital equipment and they were very close so I think it’s accurate. It’s also comfortable and easy to use and worth paying a bit extra for.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent quality, which is Clinically approved, easy to use, accurate readings (compared results with heart reveal device in my chest at cardiac clinic) and supplied in a zip-up bag WITH 4 x batteries. This is a good price for such an impressive device. My son who is a young (29yr old) qualified fire fighter uses it after training or gym sessions to monitor his own heart health. Honestly a must in ANY first aid kit.

Easy to set up and use.
    Has its own protective case.
Took my blood pressure easily and accurately within 2 minutes of opening the box.
Has a switch/button so 2 people can keep a record of their readings for future reference.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersDue to stress, I’d started to flicker into the ‘elevated blood pressure’ area at my GP’s clinic. So, I bought a different brand of monitor and started producing figures for my GP. But the difficulty was the cuff tightened soooo much on my arm it actually caused bleed-marks into my skin. I couldn’t see how a monitor causing so much pain could possibly be giving accurate results. So, my GP recommended this brand.

Immediately, my figures plummeted and started to match those at my GP’s surgery. This model has a comfort cuff that takes a reading from the full circumference of the cuff. The figures are also very clear and easy to read. Can highly recommend this over the previous model I owned.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this machine to monitor my blood pressure daily for one week. The readings were very accurate as compared to the ones I monitored at the surgery before. It is a very useful device to have at home. I would recommend if you are looking for a device to monitor your blood pressure and pulse rate, then this is it!

Very easy to use as the cuff can easily be positioned using one hand. Easy to read the result. Only down side is it is fiddly to set the date, but not needed to make the machine work.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am a RN and my partner has hypertension. I have been checking his BP manually for a long time so I bought him this so he can check himself whilst I’m not home. I cross matched the manual and automatic at got very similar readings so I trust that this is giving him accurate results.
It’s also very easy to use by yourself and easy to access your previous readings.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI had an issue with elevated blood pressure, as a lot of us do, and having it taken at the doctors made it rise even more. White Coat Syndrome! I had a cheapish monitor from Lloyds but it was so uncomfortable, that I hated taking it at home as well. I was lent an Omron by the surgery which was more comfortable, so went on to buy this one which is even better. The cuff is formed into the arm shape, so you know when it’s on properly, and inflates more evenly. This is so important when you’ve been asked to monitor your pressure daily. Ultimately, I was given some tablets which work well, changed my diet and exercise, and now it’s back to normal. This took about 6 weeks. If you’re reading this, please don’t panic about your blood pressure. It can be sorted if you just put a bit of effort in and get a monitor like this that stops measuring being painful!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought to replace another make which lasted 2 years and then became unreliable. Many other reviewer recommended this make OMRON as what their GP used so I decided on this one. My old one had me worrying about my erratic BP. When I came to use this one although my BP was up a bit it was not as bad as I had thought and with a few lifestyle changes it is now down to a really good reading which was a great relief. I am using it with batteries but I think you can get a lead to plug in. I haven’t bothered as I find it more convenient to be able to use it anywhere.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThe make and model my doctors surgery uses well made, easy to use, easy to read and strongly constructed I bought the more expensive OMRON blood pressure kit a few years back and was impressed by its construction and intelli cuff but was far from impressed by the app which was unreliable and expensive, you have to pay for the subscription before you can send a report to your doctor, the report (in my case) consisted of 54 pages which I’m sure my NHS doctor/pharmacist wouldn’t have time to read, also the app help desk didn’t care or was none existent and in the end and locked me out of my account so this time I stuck with an OMRON device but plumped for the cheapest one that comes with an intelli cuff and doesn’t connect to the internet, I now use an independent app to record my reading suggest reading the app reviews before going for the more expensive models.

I bought several cheaper ones that had cuffs that were too small or didn’t read well. Finally went for the brand my GP uses and no problems.

I like the stiffened armband which helps me fasten it on my arm. It has a good velcro flap. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the readings because I have nothing to compare it with. However, the regular readings I take seem to be consistent, so I assume it is fairly accurate. Easy to read.

Purchased May 2020. A very good product when I received it and was easy to use and read. However, after about 18 months the readings seemed to be very inaccurate. After changing the batteries the readings were still showing I had very high blood pressure to the point I had to go to the doctors who confirmed my pressure was not high and so I had to return the item. This model is no longer available so will look at a newer model which hopefully will last longer and be more accurate.

This was a bit pricey compared to a lott of units for sale but always had problems getting cuff in the right position far too tight or loose which meant readings were unreliable.
The Omron X3 with its easy to position cuff makes taking readings easier and quicker.

Easy to use product which takes its readings as it deflates. Functional simple display. Its larger than my other machine therefore completes the reading quicker. Cuff placement is different to other models which you need to remember. I am happy to recommend this machine.

If I measure 3-4 times every time, the variations are not convincing. But overall it’s good product, I doubt if any other company’s product will be 100% accurate or not, same for this as well.

Bought this item after buying and returning another cheaper make that failed to work out of the box. It works fine and is easy to use. Not cheap but same make as used by my GP. You get what you pay for. Recommended.

Omron, a name used by the professionals which is reflected in the general pricing of their model range. Watch for deals through Amazon

I’ve never owned a BP monitor before and found this one easy to set up and use, with a full set of instructions and a guide to general understanding of BP.

The arm band is very good, fits on larger arms, but of course depends on how large your arms are, the tube that fits to the machine is very tight which is good, so I am happy with this machine, I always purchase this brand, if you want a simple machine for those older people, this is the one.
