Got this has was getting high bp every now and again was recommend from one of my colleagues love that it links to phone and you can print out readings take straight to gp
Product arrived in its original box with an address label stuck on. The box had been opened – there was no security seal tab to break. I had expected a sealed unit. Was this a returned item? However contents all in box and product works as expected.
Saw one of these on my Docs desk when he checked my blood pressure. Good job that it indicated what my BP was earlier that day. Simple to use (just push go) and you can select two memories…one for me and one for the wife and can compare notes. Batteries seem to last for ages too. Does what it says on the tin.
Love the app, very useful to have all BP readings automatically on my iPhone, with me whenever I need. We bought because it’s the same one the GP uses, so for accuracy sake it feels like the best choice and it’s worth spending the money since we use it everyday!
I bought this model as it is a basic one and all I need to know is the BP and pulse results. It scores 10 for this but not the cuff which is very stiff. It fits my arm which is quite slim but I doubt it would be any good on a medium to larger arm. A larger cuff would have to be bought.
Looks like a good product and recommended by my GP – lucky to survive delivery by Amazon driver – chucked over my 6ft + gate onto a concrete path with just a brown paper bag covering the box by someone who couldn’t be bothered to ring the bell.
I’ve been using a Withings BPM for several years now – and that, in itself, has given me high blood pressure! The OMRON monitor doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the Withings does – and the two-part design is not as attractive. But it has one major advantage – it WORKS! The Withings requires about ten attempts in order to obtain a single reading. There is no chance of a double-reading which is what doctors ask for. The OMRON just works as required. That’s all I ask for. AND it is about a third the price of the Withings.
I’ve used an Omron unit before and it was great
Unfortunately lately I’ve been using another brand (A & D) but didn’t find it very useful; readings were all over the place
This Omron has a memory function, 60 readings, as well as two users
However probably the absolute best thing about it is the cuff; it’s pre-formed and simply slips on your upper arm with ease. The unit lets you know that you have placed the cuff perfectly with an ‘Ok’ lit on the lcd display
It’s also pretty quick to pump up and then give you a reading
I noticed that my GP uses an Omron unit very similar to this one
Honestly you cannot go wrong with an Omron blood pressure monitor and this one is particularly good
Very very highly recommended
The device is battery powered and comes with a set of 4 AA batteries. There is a port on the back of the device that says 6V DC but no mains adapter is supplied. The controls are minimal and easy to learn. The device records the results in memory and has an internal clock that needs to be set up. The devices allow two separate accounts for the recording of test results. The account to be used to record the results to, or view the results from is selected using a switch on the front of the device. A toggle switch allow the scrolling through of the stored results data for the selected account.
Iv compared this to readings obtained on hospital equipment and they were very close so I think it’s accurate. It’s also comfortable and easy to use and worth paying a bit extra for.
Easy to set up and use.
Has its own protective case.
Took my blood pressure easily and accurately within 2 minutes of opening the box.
Has a switch/button so 2 people can keep a record of their readings for future reference.
Immediately, my figures plummeted and started to match those at my GP’s surgery. This model has a comfort cuff that takes a reading from the full circumference of the cuff. The figures are also very clear and easy to read. Can highly recommend this over the previous model I owned.
Very easy to use as the cuff can easily be positioned using one hand. Easy to read the result. Only down side is it is fiddly to set the date, but not needed to make the machine work.
It’s also very easy to use by yourself and easy to access your previous readings.
Was loaned one by NHS so bought identical. Works very well and accurate.
One of the easiest monitor to use. You have Time Date and readouts plus you can check back on all your readouts that you have take
Well I don’t know if it’s accurate, I assume so. It’s very easy to use and gives the results clearly. The cuff is comfy and easy to put on too.
Liked this product because it was easy to use and good value for money.
No dislikes.
Normal blood pressure always but while waiting for a nurse appointment took test in surgery, pressure was v high, bought this to save trips to docs, changed eating habits and regular testing now down to where it should Highley recommend
I bought several cheaper ones that had cuffs that were too small or didn’t read well. Finally went for the brand my GP uses and no problems.
I like the stiffened armband which helps me fasten it on my arm. It has a good velcro flap. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the readings because I have nothing to compare it with. However, the regular readings I take seem to be consistent, so I assume it is fairly accurate. Easy to read.
Purchased May 2020. A very good product when I received it and was easy to use and read. However, after about 18 months the readings seemed to be very inaccurate. After changing the batteries the readings were still showing I had very high blood pressure to the point I had to go to the doctors who confirmed my pressure was not high and so I had to return the item. This model is no longer available so will look at a newer model which hopefully will last longer and be more accurate.
Not as well made as my older one like everything but does the job well. Be interested to see if it outlives the old one as it’s still going strong
This product is exactly as described and does the job accurately. It has been recommended by a a friend and I can see why. Very easy to use, store and fast delivery. Highly recommend! Thank you.
This was a bit pricey compared to a lott of units for sale but always had problems getting cuff in the right position far too tight or loose which meant readings were unreliable.
The Omron X3 with its easy to position cuff makes taking readings easier and quicker.
Easy to use product which takes its readings as it deflates. Functional simple display. Its larger than my other machine therefore completes the reading quicker. Cuff placement is different to other models which you need to remember. I am happy to recommend this machine.
If I measure 3-4 times every time, the variations are not convincing. But overall it’s good product, I doubt if any other company’s product will be 100% accurate or not, same for this as well.
Bought this item after buying and returning another cheaper make that failed to work out of the box. It works fine and is easy to use. Not cheap but same make as used by my GP. You get what you pay for. Recommended.
Omron, a name used by the professionals which is reflected in the general pricing of their model range. Watch for deals through Amazon
I’ve never owned a BP monitor before and found this one easy to set up and use, with a full set of instructions and a guide to general understanding of BP.
it does the job and is easy to use so im pleased with this
Love all the extra features more than my old mete
This is a really super blood pressure machine. Very neat and exceptionally easy to use. It is also very easy to read and understand. I would most definitely recommend this product. Very happy with i
Lately, I’m seeing these on TV too… proper medical professionals using them… highly recommend!
The arm band is very good, fits on larger arms, but of course depends on how large your arms are, the tube that fits to the machine is very tight which is good, so I am happy with this machine, I always purchase this brand, if you want a simple machine for those older people, this is the one.
Works well. Seems accurate. Same brand used by my GP surgery.
We had previously purchased a less expensive one for my husbands daily monitoring, which broke fairly quickly. Glad we bought this one which is easy to use and good quality
My GP recommended this particular model and it’s been easy to use and accurate. Good value too.
Great product easy to use same as my GP uses
Easy to use, seems to be accurate. I like that it has a memory to store all readings. Stores in a bag which is a bit flimsy, but does the job. Happy with purchase.
Easy to use and accurate – excellent value for money!
