sometimes you have to change the usb to another output for it to work overall good produc
Works great overall, isn’t too much of a hassle to setup and it feels great to use. Even managed to play CS:GO with it (do not recommend as it’s fairly difficult)
The box was definitely re-used but everything inside of it was brand new and didn’t see a single mark on anything. Definitely recommend
The Steering Wheel arrived on time, and my son was able to connect it to his gaming computer and so far has had no complaints.
This thing is great. It seems to be well built and feels sturdy. Didn’t break the bank and is a great value. I highly recommend this.
Best steering wheel for anyone who wants a first steering wheel to drive in games like American Truck Simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Others
This racing wheel is a must buy for anyone who wants to just have fun, amazing price for what you are getting, reactive, feels great, even though majority plastic nothing has ever faulted with this wheel. Basically plug and play with any device, and using on pc it comes up as a controller you can use it on any game. When I bought this wheel I saw a few comments saying it had a terrible dead zone, that is not true those people are just impatient and didn’t read the manual to find that can be adjusted right on the wheel. The only con to this wheel is the suction cup size, which hardly affects anything, but that is the only downfall and it is extremely minute. If you are looking for a beginner wheel for an amazing price, buy this!! I did and I don’t regret anything.
I was a lil nervous about getting this wheel due to the fact that there is some bad reviews but I love this wheel and works great with my gaming pc
This wheel works fine for an entry racing wheel and performs well. Easy to setup and will get you up to speed with all of your racing games.
I mainly use it on the PC and it works well for me. No force feedback but to keep you in the game and literally on track this wheel is great for the price.
It worked out of the box with no extra steps required. When first plugged in, the sensitivity is set up for the 270 degree rotation. Watching in windows’ “game pad configuration” thing (the thing that you used to need to use in the olden days of Win 98 to get a joystick working), the marker indicating wheel position doesn’t quite reach the box borders. Setting the switch to 900 degrees and then rotating the wheel to its extremes will reconfigure the sensitivity for the full 900 degrees, but you have to do it in both directions, else windows will get confused.
Switching between modes on pc doesn’t do a whole lot. The pedals are still detected as a single axis, but how software reads it varies. Yet somehow, I can tell a difference between the two modes. It’s subtle and doesn’t change anything at all, but it’s there. I have yet to test the wheel on Xbox, as I only intended to get it for pc.
Just received it today. Started playing around with it. I primarily bought this to use with American Truck Simulator on Windows 10 PC. Took a quick look at the “manual”. No mention of drivers, no drivers included. OK, must be plug and pray.
Hooked it up, brought up ATS. It was recognized as “Wired Wheel” in ATS. It was functional after configuring for the most part, but no vibration. At this point, I hadn’t changed it from “X mode to D mode” via holding the mode button for 3 seconds. Backed out of ATS to the desktop. Held mode for 3 secs, a couple of flashes and everything looked the same on the wheel. There should really be an indicator for what mode you are in. Also this brought up some weird Xbox One stuff on my desktop. Anyway…
Brought ATS back up, ATS doesn’t recognize that the previous configured controller is connected, so reprogrammed all of the buttons in D mode, hoping to get some vibration working. Nope, same result. Back out of ATS again.
Quick search on the internet shows drivers available at e-pxn.com . OK, download the drivers. Go to extract the zip file, Windows didn’t like the funky characters in the filename. Renamed the zip, extracted the driver file (a single executable).
Go back into ATS, still shows up as “Wired Wheel”. At this point, I know something’s up since I watched the pxn setup video for ATS and it’s detected as something else in his video. Regardless, remap the functions again, same result. Back out of ATS again.
Go into device manager, find that the wheel shows up as an Xbox 360 controller. Right click, uninstall, then unplug the usb cable, then plug it back in. Hopefully, this will force it to take the PXN driver. Also switched it back to D mode. From what I understand, this thing will always default to X mode when first plugged in.
Go back into ATS – finally see that ATS has detected the device properly, remap the functions again, finally have vibration working.
All of that aside…
The clamps are pretty stupid. I can’t see how they could possibly work unless you want to use this wheel like a pair of apehangers on a Harley. The clamps are huge and I can’t see any scenario where they wouldn’t get in the way of someone’s legs under a table. This is my first wheel, so I don’t know how these normally are secured in place. The suction cups are pretty useless as well. I’ll need to figure something out on this, not that big of a deal.
The buttons… in “D mode”, 2 of the 6 lower buttons are tied to the paddle shifters. I couldn’t figure out why my config kept getting screwed up until I looked closely. Would have been nice to have this information in the “manual”. These buttons are the middle buttons. Again, stupid placement. If they must share buttons why not the ones furthest inward so they are easier to avoid?
The pedals… when laying flat on the floor, me using an office chair, they are super-uncomfortable. I had to tilt the heel upwards. Again, will have to work something out for these, as well as to keep them from sliding around. As others have said, they’re pretty lightweight.
For ATS, I’m using 900 degree, “D mode”, and Low Sensitivity. I tried it on medium and high sensitivity and I was bouncing around the lanes like a pinball. It wasn’t pretty.
All of that said, so far, so good for cheap Chinese junk. We’ll see how long it lasts. I have pretty low expectations. If I can get these things secured well, in usable positions, and everything holds up, I’ll stick with the 4-star review for ATS alone, although I do plan to try it out on Xbox One with NASCAR racing. If it also works for that, it will be a bonus.
Not a bad wheel easy set up and works well!
This is an amazing wheel, even this is mainly for automatic transmission or semi manual transmission, this is a good entry level for a beginner. I have given a try in the video, demonstrating the bounce of the wheel after turning the maximum. It behaves really nice. The panels that comes along with it, works perfect. Even it is kinda lack of the real driving, it’s super close. Finally there is no driver needed to pre installed like others. Super easy to use and be ready whenever you plug in your USB into your computer. Over all this is a def 5 stars from me as a use
It’s a nice wheel, you just have to dial in the settings in the game and your good to go. 4 stars though because it isn’t recognized as a wheel instead it’s recognized as a controller.
It’s kind of cool and may be better with some tweaking
Use this on a PS4. Works well but foot pedal base too light and moves around a lot. I am planning to put some velcro and rubber strips underneath.
No idea what this was once my son asked for it. He loves it! Plays w/his friends online. I actually played it. A lot of fun.
Like the way it works also easy to use. Ordered it for my son. Loves i
good entry level feedback wheel. simple weasy to set up.works well with pc and xbox one. only negative so far is the clamps extend down too far and my legs hit when driving see pic
Very good baby, the car steering wheel feel good, feel comfortable grip, the price is not expensive, children like, value for money! With the perfect fit at home, very easy to use, this comprehensive cost-effective ultra-high
Good wheel when on a budget. I got this 2 days ago and its been great. Only problem I pedals started squeaking after 2 days. Which sucks.
Update: I contacted the seller and they helped me get the issue fixed. 10/10 customer suppo
For a budget steering wheel this is good. However YOU NEED A DATA CABLE. Use the one it comes with or look for a micro USB cable that has data transfer abilities. ITS A MUST HAVE!!! Over all the steering is great buttons feel good. Paddles have a nice click. Also the set up is easy.
works on all consoles advertised and even works well enough with the Nintendo switch. great starter wheel.
My son is really happy with the steering wheel. We have tested it on all of the consoles that can be uses with and no problems so far.
This is a very solid racing wheel. I was relying on a much older steering wheel controller that only worked on my PlayStation 3 and PC. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use it on any of my modern consoles. I figured this racing wheel would be much more futureproof, because it has a clever workaround for making it work with pretty much any system. You simply just have to plug in an original controller into a USB port on the racing wheel itself, and you will be ready to go.
Since I prefer racing in VR, I was looking for something that supported multiple configurations, and this wheel supports 270 degree and 900 degree turning with a toggle switch on the bottom. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the wheel directly if the game you are playing doesn’t have any settings available. I tested this wheel on my Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 (with PSVR), and Oculus Rift (on PC) and this wheel worked great on everything I tried.
One thing I noticed when making this wheel work on Nintendo Switch, is that you have to connect a Pro controller to the USB port, but also make sure you turn on “Pro Controller Wired Communication” in the settings. Also, it’s best to make sure you are using a quality USB cable that can transmit high speed data and avoid using any cheap knock-off cables.
On the PS4, the controller can sometimes fall asleep by default and make the steering wheel disconnect in the process, but you can get around this by going to the power save settings on your PS4 and turning off the automatic sleep mode on the controller.
For PC, the racing wheel worked without the need for connecting a wired controller to it and I didn’t have to mess with any driver installation.
The rumble feedback on the wheel feels great also, especially in VR. When you go off the track or start driving on rough terrain, you can sense it on the wheel. The wheel doesn’t have the type of force feedback that suddenly wiggles the wheel left and right, but most games handle that in an annoying way from my experience, so I prefer to just have the rumble. The tightness of the wheel feels really great and quietly returns to its center position realistically.
This wheel has made me want to find or build a wheel stand of some sort, but the suction cups and clamps add enough flexibility to attach the wheel to pretty much any surface in the meantime. Out of the box, you will have everything you need to get started at least. Overall, I am really impressed with this wheel and I love how universal it is with all of my consoles.
