These are really good at cleaning the air in a room And not noisy at all especially when they go into overnight sleep setting (which doesn’t mean they turn off).

Leave it on all the time on automatic mode and it just sits there doing its thing and you can hear it react when cooking smells or outdoor smells appear.

Its also noticeably helps me with my hay fever by sucking all the pollen and dust out if the air.

Actually bought two but one stopped working after a month, contacted Philips care line and they said it was a manufacturing fault – they then paid for it to be returned to them for repair or replacement Just waiting for an outcome but I would still buy another even after this failure – thats how good they are

Good purifier but give up trying to connect it to the WiFi unless you have a 5+ year old router. It just won’t work after I connect to the device, it always fails at the final step. I tried separating my wifi because it’s a combined 2.4/5Ghz network id. Honestly if Philips couldn’t work out how WiFi works, they should just let you sync via BlueTooth. Internet of Things? more like Internet of Fails.

Only buy this is you have accepted that the WiFi won’t work on it.

Bought this a few months ago when pollen was very high. Wasn’t sleeping at night due to feeling lousy with hay fever. Bough this and had a fab night sleep only problem, to make it work the best you need to keep doors and windows shut, not great when it’s hot.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWay more expensive than other ones in the market but worth it for sure.

The wireless setup is easy just follow the instructions.
I managed to connect it to my Google play and my Alexa. It was easy to do.

Turbo mode is noisy but didn’t need to put on turbo at all. Only time I saw turbo came on when allot of smoke in the house was detected from the kitchen.

Pollen level be gone. Seriously staying next to this machine allows me now to breathe. The air is cleaner now and my hay fever is something from the past.

I know allot of people will probably go for cheaper models but don’t do that. You won’t regret buying this. I tried other models and they are no near this.

Filter you replace once a year but will need to clean filter one a month to maintain.

Trust your instance. Buy it you won’t regret it.

Might be expensive but worth every penny

I have been conducting lots of research for weeks, so I’m glad I did as this one helps so much removing bad gases from my oil heater, not 100% of the smell but about 90% and now I am not suffering from a headache. So very happy with this product even know it’s not cheap, but if you want to attain what’s needed you do need to spend the extra.

Bought as part of smart home but it needs no interaction. Auto mode is perfect and requires no adjustments. The app shows enough information about air quality. The filter is easy to hoover and shows how much dust it has fought through. Very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks brilliantly, I have asthma and I can notice the quality of air my room compared to before, I also own reptiles and it also helps when some of my bigger reps go toilet and stink up the place, this cleans the air and once everything is cleaned up the smell goes away quicker than before. Can definitely tell the difference, price wise it is a bit scary but I think it’s worth it, it tells you why the air condition is bad etc and what affects it, the app is really easy to use and at night on the app just select sleep mode, it still runs but turns off the lights and goes into a lower setting. However if you are like me and sleep with a fan on at night you can turn the lights off too and doesn’t change to sleep mode, I also love the fact it tells you when the filter needs cleaned or replaced, which is every 2 months (they have a video on YouTube directing you ok what to do and it’s not difficult) and then once you’ve cleaned the filter with the hoover, it will last longer and then when you need to change it to a new filter it notifies you aswell. So in a way I am saving as other purifier reviews you had to change the filter every 60days I believe this is a year or possibly more

    Brilliant piece of kit.
You can notice the difference the very first night you have it on.
The noise level is super quiet in sleep mode and even in auto mode it’s quiet enough to fall asleep next to..
It does its job very well, so we’ll infact, that we are thinking of getting another two.. one for another bedroom and the other for the living room…. The only negative I can think of is the price. Its a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

Well I love this product, I did thought it was faulty due to the noise of it when I first turned it on, but it was due to the quality of air here, but after about 15 to 20 mins it calmed down.
One feature I would love to be added is a way to disable the Wi-Fi, due to its always enabled even if not being used.

Was looking for a smart air purifier for some time – sadly I’m struggling to find one with Apple Homekit functionality, but this one does at least have Siri shortcut support, a very good iOS app and works very well with Alexa. We noticed the change in air quality almost straight away and most definitely noticed the reduction in dust. Yes, it does not replace cleaning, but it does make it easier! Aesthetically, it looks good and blends into the room quite nicely – it’s far prettier than those mobile air condition units that look like a cross between a fridge and paper shredder. Sonically, at it’s highest setting you will certainly notice it, but those periods when it works hardest are short and otherwise it’s unobtrusive; indeed, it is even less so in sleep mode, hardly making any noise at all and certainly didn’t stop me from sleeping.

    Overall, hard to fault.

My hay gever has been so bad I could barely open my eyes. When this purifier arrived it was much bigger than I anticipatwd but I decided ro give it a. chance anyway and I am so glad I did. It’s been 30 minutes and the allergen level in my home has gone down from 12 to 2 and air quality from very poor to fair. I can already feel massive relief, my eyes stopped hurting and I can finally breathe. I would purchase this again in a heart bea

Its an excellent gadget. In terms of air purification this is a monster! Connectivity wise its fine but it’s not as good as Dyson where there are so many options you can do in there apps. Phillips apps needs a bit of improvement.

Bought this at a reasonable price via Amazon Prime a few weeks back. Has exceeded expectations, even with the price point being at the higher end relative to competition. It senses changes in air quality/particle matter/polluting gases and deals with it quickly and automatically. My wife’s allergies normally suffered at home have all but gone and maybe it’s a placebo but, to me, the air seems fresher since switched on.

The unit looks modern against other furnishings but does not stand out too much.

Overall a great buy and one that so far has impressed.

This product is very effective against asthma, on the very first day i plugged it in, my asthma improved drastically, since then i did not have any single attack indoors.

One thing that makes this machine above others is that, to measures air quality it not only uses PM2.5 particles measurements but VOC gases as well.

I found that in many opportunities the PM2.5 readings are very good but not the VOC gas readings, this happens more often than i thought. Is in this moments where having VOC measurements makes the machine increase the filtering power rather than being idling as may happened with other machines which only measures PM2.5 particles on the air.

This is an expensive machine, but worth any Pennie to me. Strongly recommend for people with asthma and pets at home.

When this arrived I was shocked at the size, I don’t know what I was expecting but it was, is, big but its very beautifully made, its a nice grey fabric top half and a spotty grill bottom, I can imagine it fitting in any household or office perfectly.

It was super easy to set up, unbox, remove plastic wrappers and pop the filter back in and youre ready to plug it in.

I downloaded the app named clean home and registered the purifier on there, I did have to create a Philips account, connecting the air purifier to my WiFi was pretty simple too. The app tells you if anything is wrong with the air, allergen, pollution and dangerous gasses, you can have it send you notifications when something goes above the good reading, the fan kicks in and sorts it for you, brilliant.
The app also stored history so you can see the past readings.
The app is not a necessity though, the air purifier will work perfectly fine without it I believe.

It’s quiet on auto, quite loud on turbo and really quiet on night mode. Good that you can turn the lights off and that they auto turn off for night mode. Also that the colours change for different readings.

My partner is the one with hay-fever and more issues than I have regarding air quality, I couldnt tell that much of a difference after having it on for the first evening however the next day I could feel it was more fresh, felt less stagnent and muggy (we had hot weather!) the smell of the dog was A LOT less. During the next few weeks we definitely noticed a change, we didn’t have it on all the time but when it was on or had been on it worked brilliantly.

I love how it just detects and does its job itself. Plus when it was very hot it did cool the room quite a bit too.

My partner is a bit allergic to my cats and he’s noticed a bug difference when they are in the room and the purifier is on.

I’ve also noticed less dust on things like the soundbar and TV etc that usually get dusty within a day.

I’d recommend this to people who have allergies or just want purer air. Philips have done well!

Purifies air! Air feels fresher and cooler!

It works! Year round hay fever sneezing has reduced a lot since purchase. Ours is permanently in our lounge which has two patio doors leading to gardens. When pollen levels etc are high the purifier’s noise on auto can be obtrusive and we sometimes switch it to night mode if watching TV. If left on auto overnight, in the morning all pollutant levels are at their lowest, at least until we start moving around! Really works.

Just works. Makes you realise you don’t know how polluted your indoor air is.

Easy connection to an iPhone. As of yet, an Android app is not available. The unit is also easily controllable via iPhone with the app giving details of gases, pollutants in 2.5 ppm (parts per million) and as an allergy index which ranges from a low of index of 1 to a high allergen index of 12. Helpfully, the app displays the same information for the local area. Even when away from home, you can get notifications of when air quality in the home has dropped.

Easily linked to Alexa through the Philips app, so the purifier can be controlled by voice. Initially appeared to be controlleable by Alexa for off and on, but Alexa generally supports the changing of fan speeds.

Three fan modes are available- turbo, auto and sleep. The turbo mode is quite noisy, but this quickly purifies the room. With a door shut, the unit doesn’t take long to change to a quieter, slower speed. The unit is also sensitive-sometimes walking into the room is enough to make the unit detect a change in air quality.
Sleep mode is extremely quiet-almost inaudible but you can feel the air being pushed through the purifier.

The unit indicates when it is time to clean the pre-filter; essentially the outside of the filter. This was quickly cleaned using the upholstery cleaner of a vacuum cleaner which removed the fluff layer surrounding the filter.

Placed in hall and also purified the lounge.

Quick to bring pollution back down. App gives a handy hint to when the next cleaning time is and the filters apparently last 3 years with a replacement cost of only 20! We have used 10% of the filter in only one month-however, our flooring currently generates a lot of dust. However, using the air purifier, I noticed a reduction in dust after using the device.

Power consumption quite low-55 watts. Meaning that the unit will use only a bit above one unit of electricity every day. In practice, it will use much less as it doesn’t run at full power all the time.

The unit can also be configured to operate in a dark mode with its display turned off. Its settings can still be viewed on the iPhone.

    Clean Air!

This is an amazing purifier everything about it is good & it’s very stylish.

Quality all around is solid, it is well put together the outer plastic and cloth material on the top are top quality nothing feels out of place & the filter fits in tightly.

This came in well protected packaging the filter is also wrapped within the machine to make sure it’s perfectly new when you use it for the first time.

    Features
    – Intelligent purification
    – Stylish Digital display & lets you choose preffered index to display
    – Auto mode – will automatically react to changes in air and start purifying it.
    – Quiet mode for nights but also useful if you are on work calls.
    – Able to control it directly via the app when conected with your home Wifi.
    – Very fast purification – usually clears air in a decent size room within 20-30 minutes
    – All in one filter that lasts up to 36 months
    – Stylish design all around

    What I like:
    – Great stylish design does not look out of place anywhere in the house.
    – It’s purifies the air very quickly, the auto mode is nice but it’s also very easy to control with Alexa or through the phone app.
    – It provides live detailed information within the app.
    – Filter has long lifetime & the app gives clear instruction on how many hours you have left before having to clean it.
    – Night mode including the digital display are nice if you want to have it purifying constantly
    – Can feel the difference very quickly in air quality.

There isn’t anything i don’t like about this product so far.

    Overall thoughts:
This purifier has been amazing you don’t really realise how bad the air is within your household until you use this, i have two cats and the purifer clears any odours very quickly.
Although the filter does’t seem too cheap it lasts very long so it’s well worth the price to have quality air constantly, most of other lower end purifiers will show you that air is being purified but you wouldn’t really feel a difference as much and you won’t have the same amount of live details this product gives you through the app.
I will personally continue to buy filters when required as this thing is amazing well worth the money.

This air purifier is just amazing!

I can’t say one way or the other whether or not my health has improved after about a month of using this as I don’t feel any different. According to the numbers though, my home has much better quality air circulating around it so I have to assume that we’re reaping the benefits of that by breathing it in.

It’s a nice looking unit and despite it’s size we don’t even notice it any more, it just sort of blends in. It’s easy to set up and control and we have it on Auto all of the time and it adjusts to whatever the air quality is around it so it’s a bit noise to begin with but as the quality improves it doesn’t have to work as hard and quiets down considerably. The app downloaded and paired to the unit without issue and it’s probably handy but I barely use it. I have it set up to alert me if the air quality gets above a certain level but it barely registers now so it’s not used much. At first it’s a bit like having a new Smart meter put in, you check it every 10 seconds and worry if it fluctuates even by one number but over time we just trust it to do it’s thing and it’s never got above 9 (when we left the kitchen door open by mistake and the cooking fumes escaped) so it’s all good.

I was a bit worried about the cost of replacing the filter but am happy to find out that it should last about 3 years with normal use so that offset will be a while coming. All in all we’re really happy with this. We moved it from room to room when it first got here to see which place had the worst quality so we’d know where to place it but after that it’s just stayed in the same place and quietly does what it does. Doesn’t seem to run away with the electricity and it’s giving us piece of mind that one more thing is being taken care of to improve our living space. Happy to recommend this.

This is a fabulous air purifier. It is quite a large item, just over 2ft in height and 11 inches across, but it is an attractive item, bottom half (which houses the filter) is a hard wearing white plastic and the top half is a grey fabric.
When first unpacking the item the filter needs to have its plastic wrapping removed before switching on for the first time, as soon as that’s done you’re good to go! I downloaded the app, which was very easy to set up, but the purifier can be used without as well. The app is helpful in alerting to levels of pollutants and can be used to control the purifier remotely.

It has a well lit led display on the top which displays the pollutant levels in numbers and colour, 1-12 with 1 being the best and 12 the worst, also displays it in colour with blue for best and red for worst so very easy to see.

I have been running it for the last few weeks and have found it to be a godsend, I have had builders working on the outside of my property and the amount of dust has been phenomenal, this has really helped. It is quiet it normal mode, bit loud in turbo, but not too loud..it is bearable and does the job very quickly. Also fills the room with a nice breeze! The wattage is only 55 watts so doesn’t use up a lot of energy either which is brilliant.
The sensor is very sensitive, it even detects the chemicals in the air from cleaning products being used in the next room!
I am a vaper and needless to say this causes it to go berserk 🙂

I can definitely feel the difference in air quality when this beauty does its magic, it is marketed as a professional grade air purifier that removes 99.7% of allergens and I would say that is exactly what it is. It is amazing. It has a hepa and carbon filter, which is pricey to replace at around 60, but Phillips say each filter should last up to 3 years so all in all not too bad.

Its expensive but it is a really brilliant piece of kit, I had a air purifier before and it was nowhere near as good as this.
    Bottom line: It’s Fab!!

I have a very bad case of hay fever that aggravates my chronic dry eyes condition. I tried various cheaper air purifiers before (ones that you had to replace filters nearly every 3 or 4 months) and did not feel any significant difference aside to how frequently I needed to buy replacing filters. But this Philips air purifier did wonders for me. Its size surprised me — much bigger than I anticipated but for the first time in a very long time, I can sit without having to frequently apply eye-drops during the day and I am having a much more restful sleep. I would thoroughly recommend it without hesitation.

    Pros
    – Very lightweight and movable and doesn’t vibrate vigorously like other purifiers.
    – I am a light sleeper so only use sleep mode at night because with this mode, although the purifier is desirably very silent the filtration quality is reduced as the fan speed is also reduced to allow for the silent operation. On Auto mode, the sound is completely acceptable, although it is quite loud on turbo mode (as expected).

    Other observations
    – The LED screen is big and clear and with ambient lighting it dims at night time.
    – The mobile phone app functions properly (and gives so much information about the air quality in my room) unlike my previous air purifier where the app kept on crashing.
    – Looks very modern and the colours suit every home dcor
    – The filter has a fantastic life span of 36 months – saves a lot of money from buying replaceable filters on a regular basis.
    – Has a fabric design which looks nice but as you can guess can’t be easily cleaned — to get around this I use a vacuum cleaner on the lowest setting to clean it and keep it dust-free.

AND most importantly, I felt a difference made to my allergy and eye condition from day one!

No cons yet — I will update the review if anything wrong appears. So far, I am a delighted user.

Essential for any allergy sufferer and is really an excellent air purifier.

Very powerful and helps manage hay fever and dry eye conditions

First of all this unit is big, its about the same diameter as a football and as the height is between my hip and knee.

The instructions are very good and tells you how to fit the filter and start it up.

Lots of controls on the top , you have 3 speeds , auto, turbo and silent a on off and you can also switch to see what it is filtering,
It lights up blue ok, red bad, but you can turn the lights off if you want.

I leave it on auto as the seems to do the job, its quiet, until it detects something.

Now you dont need the app, but best if you do as it gives you a few more feature, its easy to set up ,gives you the quality of air, you can also set up what features you want the purifier to filter out like dust smoke ,smells etc.

It also gives you the life of the filter and when you need to clean it with a vacuum cleaner. All these are in the instructions and on the app.

Now in operation, all i can say is wow. Its sensitive. spray some hair spray or fly killer and it goes in to over drive.
We are talking the next room its that sensitive.
The lights go red and a notification pops up on your phone. goes to show what we are breathing every day

Although its not meant as a cooler fan, if you pop it on turbo, its shifts some air about the room and gives you a nice breeze.

Now the worse part for me was using with Alexa, yes it has a skill, but Alexa sometimes gets confused and asks me to set up for a Dyson. But you can tell it to go to turbo, slient etc you can also ask for the air quality.
I set the name up as air purifier with the Alexa skill, maybe i will change the name just to fan.

Overall a great unit, but is very expensive. also the filters are about 60 pounds, but do last a very long time

    If air matters

The turbo mode its a bit noisy but we don’t really use it on that mode because if its on auto all the time i find it more efficient. To change the filter its easy as well so don’t worries about that you don’t need to be an engineer.
I will say that if you have anyone in the house with allergies and breathing problems this machine its life changing definitely. I do recommend this purifier for sure.

Having had really bad issues with hayfever and allergies all my life, I can’t believe I had not heard of a machine like this before. I simply took tablets which work, but living next to an overgrown meadow pollen is a major problem and the air in my house gets really bad in spring, so I was quite excited to receiving this.

Design-wise, it’s a very simple and sleek. White plastic base made from a solid plastic not the cheap stuff, the front panel comes off easily and the filter can be changed with ease. The top half is a grey fabric which matches my furniture and really blends the machine in. It’s fairly large, a lot larger than I thought it would be, however, it’s a lot lighter to move about than it looks. I would make sure you have a good corner or place it fits with a plug socket free before purchasing as it is a bit too large to go on top of a shelf or cabinet.

The LED display is clear and easy to use, located on the top of the machine it’s just tall enough to be used without having to bend down. It’s all done through touch and the screen itself feels of pretty good quality, anybody can operate it with ease.
My big issue was with the app, I have also had this problem with another Phillips product and I cannot pair this to my phone. I’ve tried just about everything and cannot get it to work, looking online I see a few other people have the same issues: it seems for some it works and others not. I’ve tried on two different devices and still nothing. Unfortunately, I cannot touch on the functionality of the app, however, looking into it anything you can do on the app you can also do with the LED touch screen. If app compatibility is a vital point to you purchasing this product then I would be cautious as it’s not the first Phillips product that I’ve had problems getting their apps to pair with.

Despite this minor let down, the purifier works amazingly well. I’m impressed with how simple the set up was and how fast the air quality is improved. It’s definitely a well made product in regards to purifying air, I cannot compare it to others on the market but since using this I struggle a lot less with hayfever, some days I forget it’s even an issue until I step outside.

I leave mine on auto which seems to work for me. I don’t tend to hear the fan, occasionally, it ramps up slightly but these occasions are rare, and i’ve honestly got used to the slight hum of the fan. Turbo is where it’s definitely a lot more noticeable, however, the quality of air is improved at such a rapid speed that it’s pretty much expected, and even then it’s not over the top loud, it’s just background sound. I typically leave the machine downstairs in the sitting room, however, occasionally I will take it up stairs. It’s powerful but I would not say powerful enough to cover the entire house. With it being light it’s easy to move, I do use the nightmode over night. You can tell the fan is working at a much lower setting to the point you don’t even notice the machine is on, you could easily sleep with this in your room.

Overall, an amazing device that is a must-have for anybody with bad allergies. It has worked wonders with my pollen allergy but I think this would be a great buy for anybody with any air borne allergies such as dust, pet hair, etc. The only bad thing about this is not having got one sooner, cannot recommend it enough.

Very impressive air purifier ,it quite big wich means that will collect more dust and push more air .The quality is outstanding,no need to change the filter too quick ,has a sleep mode for night so does less noisy ,is quite noisy during the day I must say ( I have a small bedroom so maybe this count too but probably in a bigger room the house is not so much)also can set up an ambient light for evening ,will be perfect for person who struggles with allergies like my wife with hay fever( this helped a lot ,she can sleep now with the window open when is hot and have a good sleep also) Easy to set up and connected with Wi-Fi,really recommended you won’t regret!

I’ve been using this beautiful Philips AC3033/30 Expert Series 3000i Connected Air Purifier for almost 3 weeks now and it has been such a positive and life changing experience. Before using this, I thought my room (and house) was spotless clean, and that my family and I were breathing clean air. However, the second I plugged this in, this wasn’t the case! The PM2.5 rating shot up to ~45, which indicated the air quality that we were breathing was POOR! We turbo purified every room in the flat daily (only took about half an hour and it was all automated for us and we live in a compact flat). Ever since, my mother has no longer had difficulty breathing in her room and my brain has been feeling far clearer since too. This in turn has played a huge role in improving my cognitive behaviour, function and overall productivity.

As a Product Designer student, I can tell that a lot of thought was put into creating this product. Every attribute not only is aesthetically pleasing, but also serves an important purpose and role in the overall effective function of this Philips product. For instance, the cylindrical surface allows for a 360 airflow circulation, ensuring optimal room purification, and it looks great doing it also.

I tried all three different modes and when using this at night, the silent mode is literally so silent you will barely even notice it. I found that when using the air purification overnight, I felt so refreshed in the morning and ready to tackle the day, despite the uncertain times we are living in at the moment. The filter is super easy to access and change/install. It only has to be replaced once every 3 years (36 months) and will cost 75 each time, which to be honest, is so worth it considering the health and well-being benefits it provides. Speaking of prices, this device uses 55 Watts to operate, which if used 2hrs a day on average at 12p (KWH), will cost you about ~4.82 a year to use.

As for the app, the User Interface is super easy to navigate. You can even turn on/off the device anywhere whilst monitoring your air quality in your house. I was a few miles away from my flat, and was able to turn it on so that when I arrived home, my flat was well purified. It can even be Alexa voice controlled so you won’t even need to lift a finger to operate it.

In conclusion, I am so thrilled to own this state of the art air purifier. The benefits are so clear to see (just like the air in my room now) and it has only been a few weeks, imagine in a few years what the effects will be like!! Worth the investment, because as they say, your health is your wealth. Without a doubt, a 5 star product!

I hope you found this review helpful 🙂

An absolutely beautiful piece of technology

I spent several weeks with this air purifier at the time of writing this review which would allow me to describe my experience with it in more detail. This purifier is a blessing and that is based on concrete results that I will discuss later. All in all though, the Philips series 3000i air purifier is a smart, stylish, and efficient solution for ameliorating the air quality of your house, but that comes with certain cons as well, which will also be mentioned below.

    Design and Look:
The air purifier has a very modern look and a very sleek cylindrical shape that adds to its overall aesthetics. It would merge very well with different types of house layouts and decorations thanks to its low key colours (A combination of Grey and White). Although I have different layouts and colours in the living room compared to my bedroom, this purifier merged very well with both and felt as a part of the furniture. Adding to that, I like the fact that the display and buttons are all within the same little circle on top of the purifier. With the display off feature, none of those buttons is apparent. This Philips is very well designed to the point where my friends mistake it for a speaker or voice assistant.

    Functionality:
As I have said earlier, this purifier made me feel concrete results. I sneeze a lot due to being allergic to household air which is usually not very pure and clean. While the purifier is on, I noticed that my sneezing reduces tremendously. It seems like the air purifier is actually working regardless of the metrics shown on the display or the app. I am not extremely allergic and I don’t have a clear condition apart from frequent sneezing throughout the day (Actually I sneezed twice while writing this, the purifier is turned off now). I will therefore acknowledge that this purifier actually works, for me at least. It can be easily paired with Clean Home+ to monitor the air quality and performance of the purifier, and can also be managed via Alexa voice assistant. This makes it future-proof compared to other purifiers that still depend on the conventional way of reaching out to your device whenever you need to do something. As you have seen in the video, the numbers show the amounts of both the IAI and PM2.5 dropping tremendously in very short period, the performance test is time-lapsed but all in all it lasted around 7 minutes for it to reach that level in a room of around 20 square meters.

    Size:
The size of this air purifier is seriously big. It doesn’t take much space thanks to the cylindrical design, but still it does look big in terms of height. The weight is manageable but for a person who wants to transport this smart piece of tech to different places around the house, it won’t be very practical. It’s a hassle to constantly transport it from the bedroom to the living room. Therefore, I resorted to getting another purifier for the bedroom. That way I don’t need to transport this one.

    Filter Durability and Prices:
At the time of reviewing this air purifier, the HEPA and Carbon filter costs around 75 quids. If you mistakenly compare this to other filters and other air purifiers you would think it is very expensive, but you might be wrong. The filter on this air purifier lasts for around 3 years, a very long period for a filter and I would be honest to say I have doubts about that. But in the case of that being true, it means a 75 quid filter would cost around 25 quid a year, which is a bargain as for this price you might end up with filters that last for a mere 6 months if you opt for other air purifiers. Additionally, this filter merges both the HEPA and Active Canon technologies, saving you the hassle of buying multiple filters as other purifiers tend to do. So all in all, while it is very expensive to pay 75 quids for a filter, it might actually prove efficient over time.

    Verdict:
I am very happy with this air purifier. Personally speaking I can feel its impact on my life. I can sleep with it on and switched to night mode which is very quiet and discreet, I can monitor it via the app, I can brag about it being very stylish and looking like a speaker, and most importantly I can sneeze less. I would recommend it if you can afford it, it is a piece of tech worth having.

Absolutely amazing piece of kit! We lived in a Victorian house which has always been an issue for dust with its leaky single glazed windows, especially with the busy road out the front.

I’ve always suffered with tickling coughs due to dust and waking up all bunged up in the mornings. This air purifier has massively made a difference not just to my breathing but also the amount of dust in our house that collects on surfaces.

Highly recommend. I may have to buy another one at some point for downstairs !

I set our unit up in the corner of the living room.
Unpacking the Airpurify is simple enough just remember to remove the separate wrapping from the filter before you turn the machine on.
The purifier hooked into my home network easily enough and installing the app was easy, its a little limited though.

The unit measures three individual things. the IAI the PM2.5 and the GAS level. They are all graded and the manual goes into detail about the three components of clean air giving solid scientific reasoning but in general the IAI measures the allergen level. PM rating is pollutants smaller than 2.5 micrometers and the GAS rating measures the more harmful gases.

Turning it on initially gave us some mid level values across the board and within the first twenty minutes the machine had quickly reduced them down to lower safer values.

But it was difficult to notice that difference immediately. The things it measures are abstract and invisible and so with the unit telling you its better you have to just trust it. But the actual benefits reveals themselves over the next few days of use.

I`ve been running this unit for 3 or 4 days now and have managed to expose it to a few real world problems and watched the unit handle them.

The first was when I vacuumed the rug in the centre of the living room. Almost instantly the hoover kicked up more dust into the atmosphere as the vacuum rolled over it. and the IAI score went up from the 1-3 range it runs at up to 9-10 and the light went red and the fans kicked in pulling and filtering that dust out of the air in a few minutes, returning it back to its lower levels again. Ive noticed less dust accumulating on flat surfaces around the TV

The second was when I cooked a steak on the grill. This triggered the PM score to sky rocket from its usual 7-8PM all the way up to about 140. Again, red lights and the fans automatically kicked in and by the time the meal was over that had significantly dropped down and less than half an hour later it was back to normal and the usual lingering fried smells had gone completely. So this is great for getting rid of kitchen smells.

And finally, we saw a jump of the GAS levels and an alert and immediate action when we were steam cleaning our floors. The disinfectant that is obviously dissolved in the steam of the cleaner is airborne, masked by that “clean” citrus smell and I guess your breathing that all in as your cleaning, so again, that is a potential hidden danger that i know I haven’t really considered when using everyday cleaning products. It’s even done the same, to a lesser extent, when using kitchen cleaner spray on countertops when wiping them down and again with aerosol fly killer spray.

So in summary. This is a quality product, Im glad we have it, it’s very stylish and functional. The filter lasts a long time with maintenance, its great against kitchen odours and harmful hidden gasses and the unit runs efficiently and not too noisily. But as a negative The integrated phone app is pretty useless IOT nonsense (you don’t need to know your lounges air quality when you’re away from the home really do you?) and is just a way for them to market directly to you and keep their brand in your head, so you could probably ignore that if you wanted to. Medically speaking though, it’s a good idea. Its certainly helping with hay fever allergies I have and Im sure it can help you too – but really this is a “quality of life” product first and foremost rather than medical equipment.

Works well in many real world situations to clear the air.

This is a serious piece of kit. I liked lots about this:

    – easy to set up
    – whisper quiet in night mode
    – great app to track the air quality of different aspects (like allergens, harmful gases etc)
    – it has an auto mode where you can allow it to self regulate what it does dependent on the air quality
    – a track on the filter quality to you know when to clean it and when it needs to be changed
    – slight air conditioning effect in hot weather (bonus over the last few weeks)

There are some niggles in my mind though, even if it performs well on the surface and looks and sounds great (it’s so quiet at night it doesn’t disturb me at all). These are the things I worry about and why I can’t give it a full star rating:

The device is pricey and I found it hard to test it’s effectiveness. I tested it with windows closed and open for comparison. I used it for a mix of all day, only for an hour a day. I wanted to see whether my air quality was recorded as worse after it hadn’t been on for a whole day. However, I couldn’t see any sort of pattern to my air quality so really not sure if it’s effective. We have it in our bedroom and neither or us have noticed any difference in our allergies or anything else. (So, without something else to test this against, like a kit to also test the air at the same time, I can’t tell if its working.)

I do feel like this is a lot of money to spend without having some definitive proof that it’s actually doing something. I feel like I need some extra reassurance as the app tracking out air quality did not behave as I thought it would. For example, if we had all windows open I would assume that the allergen level would go up but it went down without the machine being turned on. I also assumed that having it on all day would mean that there wouldn’t be a spike in allergens (as long as the windows were closed) but it detected one.

Really great machine, display is clear and easy to use. setting up the app was quick an easy as well. looks really good and pretty large (kinda looks like a Duracell battery on steroids) but doesn’t stand out. three main function Auto, boost and sleep. Auto can be setup to your preferences through the app. for the kind of things you’re focused on removing (dust, pollen, smog, ect). Boost is good the clear up a dirty room. In sleep mode, you cannot hear it at all and all the lights on the top turn off. the unit has a colour changing ring around the control panel for a quick look at the condition of your room. along with a digital display showing the numbers for: indoor allergen index, pm2.5 and gas. In the app, you can see the filter life level. its meant to last for 3 years.
So far, the only negatives i can see is that its not compatible with smart assistants and that not really a big deal.

    One fantastic machine

The app is easy to use & super informative about the air quality in the room where the unit is.

It’s ability to scavenge & clean the air is excellent / but the real winner is the night mode, it truly is whisper quie

I have always wanted to try this Air Purifier.
I didn’t know that the air at home is that bad.If I knew ,I was going to get it earlier. It is a really cool looking one,not like most that are like white square boxes.
The first thing that I saw was that inside the box it was packed 2 times.
First pack was a big bag for the whole unit and second one was clear wrap just for the fabric on the top part of the unit.
After unpacking I went straight on the yellow sign on the side as there is a big door and inside there is the filter which was again in bag.
Don’t forget to take it off as this bag is just to make sure that the filter will be 100% clean when you receive it.
Filter in , door closed.I couldn’t wait to try it.
It is just a touch of one button to power it on and it starts in Auto mode.
If you want to turn it off from the unit menu you will need to keep the power button for few seconds,it is not just one touch to go off.
I guess this is to make sure you don’t accidentally switch it off.
Really cool thing, but I needed few minutes to find it out.
It was going to be a lot easier if I have checked the little book with instructions.
It is so simple to use , so I didn’t even open the bag with the instructions.
I left it running for few minutes so the filter can get some air from the house and it show how actually bad is the air at home.
It just changed the color of the light around the screen to red.
And this is in case of the house is getting cleaned every day and windows left opened for some time to get fresh air.
I changed the mode from Auto to Turbo and the fan increased the speed like a rocket.
I didn’t expect that much, but I guess this should be turbo and not just 1% of increase.
As we left it in the hallway with all doors opened this was the place that it will sense any change quicker.
I had to open the front door for few minutes and the numbers on the screen for the air quality went to the roof.
After few hours all good and back to the blue color.
On the following day the same thing happened again after opening the front door.
I know that, because on the app you can set many different things and one of them is a notifications for Indoor Air Quality Level.I have mine set on Fair.
There is something called Personalize Purifier Settings which is like a survey and then the Air Purifier is optimized for your house.
I am not sure how it works ,yet.
I will have a play with it to find any difference and I will update this review when I find out.

    Highly recommend it.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

And I thought that the Air at home is Perfec

Have been running this for a little while now. It certainly appears to do what it says on the box, if the app is anything to go by. As I’ve the windows open a lot at the moment, it’s hard to say if it is helping my asthma and hayfever any, might be able to tell more in the winter months. It is quite large, but doesn’t look out of place in the corner of the living room as it’s quite stylish. It does have a fabric surround at the top which may attract dirt over time, but I think it will wipe clean ok. Really easy to set up. I was a little worried that it would be a hefty price to run as the filters are about 60 but, if the description is true, then they will only need changed every 3 years which makes it a manageable cost. Seems to run fairly economically too. None of the modes produce a volume level that is unacceptable and it just does it’s thing happily in the corner, quite comforting! I notice that the fan might kick in a bit more after I’ve been cooking in the kitchen as the doors are always open. I also found it wasn’t the best idea to sit it under an open window, as you’ll waste the benefit it can do in your home, by making it work hard to filter all the outside air coming in, rather than letting it deal with that through the day. Seems to help to keep the air fresher too somehow. Very happy with this. Didn’t realise it was something I needed, now I wouldn’t do without it. The only restrictive thing is the initial price outlay, but then it is a good brand and if there are any issues there is hopefully a great customer support team.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWarning — a long and a highly positive review! LOL

Ok, a week in since I unboxed this beauty and tried to see if it makes any difference to my life!

Let’s just start by saying that it most certainly saved my life on the first day of its existence in my house, and that was where the ice was broken straight away!

I have an ozone generator to keep my fridge nice and clean and unknown to me, my daughter, took it out of the fridge and left it on the window ledge still in a ful active modeoops! If you know anything about those devices, this is where you go — Oh, dear! Yes, for a couple of days it was on my window ledge pumping ozone gas into the air every single hourand I was wondering why on Earth I started having sever headaches Anyway, this air purifier came, got taken out of the box and plugged in — not in the kitchen, but good distance away from where the little ozone thingy was and immediately it went CODE RED! CODE RED!!! Danger! Gas indicator went into Level 4 mode and the Philips activated turbo mode without any prompting from me, as it immediately detected a dangerous level of gas in the air in my house and got to working hard trying to sort it out! Basically — thank you Philips for having manufactured such a sensitive and highly efficient device that can potentially save lives!

It is very easy to set up, follow the steps to get it connected to the app — the app will guide you and most is automatic and there is a wealth of information on what your air should and should not be like and why it is important!

A week in, as I said earlier, and I no longer need to keep all my windows open to have enough oxygen — this device has done it all and I can enjoy breathing in full and not gasping for air any longer! It is in my living room and I am currently exploring other options of a smaller device to put in my bedroom to guard my sleep! Love it!

    Life Saver!!!

Flabbergasted, this is my first air purifier and now i wouldn’t be without one, ever. Thank you Philips for building such an amazing device!

I am someone who in a dusty environment reacts so badly it not only leaves my eyes and throat itching but there’s been times i’ve been left struggling to breath. As a child i experienced a severe asthma attack, whilst my asthma improved with age i’ve always classed myself as allergic to dust and it really does trigger a lot of negative effects for me. Well not now ….

It’s pretty hard to describe air quality, it’s like trying to describe water however when running this machine even my partner who is a little more robust allergy wise than me can feel a notable difference, he also says he hasn’t felt as stuffy nasally. I’m pretty sure this machine is making our home smell nicer too, as in removing odor but ultimately i just feel like i can breath better and i too have noticed my nasal passages feeling a lot clearer.

I’ve not experienced any throat itching, eye itching, sneezing fits or breathing difficulties from dust, even when going through my cupboards and sorting through old clutter which usually triggers it because i just put this machine on turbo mode.

The machine is pretty large, it stays quiet when the airs clean but can get noisy when it senses a pollutant, for instance when we spray our deodorant when this is in auto mode it suddenly ramps up and becomes noisier whilst working its magic but then gradually goes back down to being very quiet. In sleep mode it’s very quiet and the small amount of sound it makes i find is rather pleasant, being a fan of white noise.

I am more than happy and i love this Philips air purifier.

So let’s get straight to the point, I like and recommend this product from Philips.

When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised with how it looks at and feels, its looks like a mega big smart speaker. Quality plastics and a nice material finish around the top finished with a gloss black circular screen area. Setup is easy, take the back off and remove the plastic from the filter, refit the back door which clips back on with a satisfying click and magnetic closure. I knew this was a quality product once I put that door back on, when you get one you’ll know what I mean.

Once plugged in and turned on the machine came to life and started scanning the air and gave me a blue/purple ring – red rings are the worst according to the manual, no one wants a red ring so glad that never happened. The machine also gives numbered readings for the different things it filters, you need to look in the book to see whether or not your level is good or not. The coloured ring is a nice and simple indication anyway so the numbers are not essential to look at.

Straight away the filter got to work filtering all the badness in the air – from the top you can feel a breeze coming out which is perfect in these current hot conditions as it helps circulate the air. The device has three settings, auto, turbo and night mode. Turbo is what it says it is, the fan ramps up to the next level and the filtering process happens quicker. Night mode is the opposite and is whisper quiet. All modes are acceptable sound wise, turbo sounds akin to a standard desk fan. When on auto I found the noise to be acceptable at all times of day, it sits in our living room next to our sofa and doesn’t interrupt our TV watching.

So is it any good at filtering? At first I wasnt sure if it was making a difference the next morning my ring was blue with levels of 1 so very pure air. I immediately noticed the house smelled fresher, over the days to come there’s been less dust in the house and our hay-fever has definitely reduced. The making of this was when I cooked Fajitas – we have an open plan kitchen/living room and the next day you can still normally smell the cooking smells. The Philips stepped in this time and banished them, wow!

Have got the app and like it’s functionality but like using and looking at the machine just as much. It’s modern looking and fits in well in our home and gets lots of questions when visitors come around.

I wasn’t sure if I really needed an air purifier but now I’ve got one I wouldn’t want to be without it. Maintenance wise it looks like you can vacuum the filter but eventually it will need replaced which at this moment in time will cost just under 70. Ill update the review with how long the first filter lasts.

    Highly reccomended!

    Fresh as owt!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI would like to point out that I’ve never used an air purifier in my home before and given I suffer from Hay Fever I was delighted to review this.

Okay, it’s much bigger than I thought, height is 68 x 29cm. The weight is only 9kg so easy enough to move around the house if need be. Once out the box it was a case of taking off the bottom back cover and removing the filter by pulling it out and taking off all the plastic packaging then placing this back in. I positioned my unit in my hallway as I guessed this was a more centralised place in the house. The unit has a fabric upper outer which blends in with my grey stair carpet!

Before switching this on I downloaded the app ‘CleanHome’ in advance although this air purifier can be used without the app. Once the app was downloaded I switched on the unit and selected ‘auto’ mode on the top control panel. The colour on the outer display soon turned red indicating poor air quality in my home! I connected the app to the unit which was straight forward, I also had to set up an account with Philips via the app which was straight forward also. Once the app had connected to the unit it then took me through connecting the air purifier to my wifi network. Again, wifi isn’t needed to operate this unit.

Once connected the WiFi icon shows up on the units display. All the information is displayed beautifully on the air purifier as well as the app. In the meantime the air purifier was still displaying red and blowing out air, so I assumed I’d leave it as it was. My next task was to connect it to Alexa. This is where I encountered a problem. On the Alexa app I opened up the Philips Air Purifier skill. Then had to sign into the Philips account I’d already created when I had downloaded the CleanHome app. Unfortunately my credentials weren’t recognised. I had to double check my details and they were correct. Anyway it took 8 attempts and I was finally able to sign in and Alexa was linked.

So the unit was on auto mode. The air quality improved over a couple of hours. The allergen index was 1, gas level 1 and PM2.5 read 4. The app has a historical graph which I’ve attached to my photos so you can see what time the air quality changed. Well this is where I knew this unit was working. I have cats and when I change the cat trays there is always dust off the litter lingering in the air for ages and settling all over the house. On my graph the poor air quality index in red was the exact time I changed the cat litter. My partner sprayed her deodorant in the kitchen and within a minute the unit showed red and the fan boosted up. I’m actually very impressed! You also get notifications via the app if the air quality changes plus at any time you can ask Alexa what the air quality is.

I’ve even done a quick video showing the air purifier kicking in as soon as I spray an aerosol. My hayfever has calmed a bit but to be honest I have had the windows open due to the hot weather but the cat litter dust and odours in the house have improved. I wished I had one of these units a while a go!!!!

The filter has to be cleaned every 300 hours, the time remaining is shown on the app, just a vacuum and wipe I believe. The whole filter needs replacing around every 36 months which presently costs 66.03. The unit has sleep function, various operating modes or just auto. When on auto mode the air is constantly monitored and the unit increases or decreases the airflow accordingly. The unit can be programmed to turn off and on again at any time you choose. It is quiet especially in sleep mode.

I’m sorry I’ve gone on a bit but this is absolutely fantastic and I’m glad I’ve had the pleasure to review it.

    I highly recommend this product!!!!!!

This has really helped my allergies and reduced the dust in my home

We received this for review under the Amazon Vine review.

We were keen to use and review this product for a number of reasons but one of them being that we have a wood burning stove in the living room and we’re hoping that this will purify the air and remove any lingering odours. Its too hot for a fire during a summer heat wave so this test will have to keep.

Here are our thoughts on this Air Purifier:-

+ Philips is a massive brand so we had little or no hesitation brand wise.

    – Size wise its pretty large; + design will we found that it fits in with the room almost as a talking point rather than being an eye-sore.

+ easy to unpack, set up and use. We had it up and running in less than 5 minutes having read the instructions.

+ easy to use – its pretty intuitive once you know the basic setup and logic. Air quality is measured in three ways and for each the colour coding on the ring display shows the air quality level. Red is worst scoring a “very poor” mark, followed by Purple-red, then blue-purple for “fair” and finally Blue indicates good air quality.

+ We like how easy it is to toggle between the air quality metrics. IAI detects indoor air allergens, PM2.5 detects airborne particular pollutants under 2.5micrometers in size and GAS detects harmful gases and odours.

+ when we first turned the unit on – all three metrics were red. within 5 minutes all three were at good levels.

+ We really like night mode. to be brutally honest its been right by the bed and i’d forgotten about it. Ive only heard it the once over night and it certainly didn’t wake me.

+ We found that night mode works well with the occasional blast in turbo. This prevents the device making noises when we are on work calls. we’re happy that its plodding along doing its thing in the background. Perhaps if we had more serious allergies we might leave it on automode.

+ cleaning the filter sensor is quick and easy and should be done very two months.

+ We have no way to validate its ability to filter out 99.97% of airborne allergens, pollen and fine dust etc. We have a few regular houseguests with hay fever but because of lockdown they wont be staying but this will be our best proxy of a quantitative test – but again slightly binary. where they better – yes or no.

+ we were pleasantly surprised that the filter lasts for 3 years. we were half expecting a costly filter change every year so this 36months lifespan is a real positive.

-/+ yes this is a more expensive model but its able to purifier larger rooms and purify at a faster rate.

overall recommendation: this is an expensive piece of kit but you get what you pay for. this is more than capable for our domestic air purification needs. It’s fast working, night mode is great and the filter last for 3 years. We love the reassurance this provides by it sitting in the corner, filtering out the allergens, pollen and fine dust we just cant see. We would definitely recommend this for households with bad allergies.

Phillips is a company really leading the way in this kind of industry. They certainly have impressed me with this Air purifier.

It’s looks very modern and is really impressive.

There’s loads of air purifiers on the market right now especially with the current virus situation going on. But the vast majority of these are really cheap and don’t work well at all. The filters are small and need replacing often.

I will say this isn’t designed to filter the current virus going around. You’ll really struggle to find any that do.

This one is far superior. The quality of the machine and the materials used is outstanding. The filter alone is really large and has a huge surface area to collect any pollutants. It will also last for a very respectable 3 years before replacement.

There’s also a huge fan inside that sucks and blows a very respectable amount of air through it’s filters.

When turned on it’s continually scanning the area for any change in it’s environment and adjusts it’s fan speed accordingly.

It does everything itself, you only need to turn it on and it’ll do it’s job.

You can switch on a sleep mode, this’ll go really quiet so it’s not noisy at night.

Theres also ambient lighting setting you can set.

It is much larger than I thought it was going to be but that’s not a bad thing as it just means it’s capable of pushing more air.

I would advise putting this is a larger room as it can get very loud at times when it detects air pollutants or gasses etc.

If you have really bad allergies, this would be great for you. It really does a good job and would really be useful.

During set-up it connected to my Wi-Fi effortlessly without any problems.

The biggest thing though is it’s price. It’s really expensive, but if you can afford one I’d really recommend you do.

    It’s just amazing!

Super impressed! Fully automated & Works Amazingly well.

Quite a large unit with a massive filter in the base that is easily changed. Quickly and efficiently cleans the air, removing pollen, dust and gas particles.

The automatic setting responds almost instantly to the detection of particles and increases the air flow to quickly remove any impurities in the air. Once it has done its job the fan speed decreases to a tick over.

Sleep mode is almost silent and does a great job of ensuring the allergens are kept to a minimum. My wife has noticed an improvement in her hay fever and wakes up less snuffly in the morning.

There is also a Tubro mode if you need to manually clear a room quickly.

The app works and is straightforward to pair with the purifier. It provides the ability to fully control the purifier and also monitor the air quality over time. However it is not quite as slick as the Dyson app.

Replacement filters are around 66 (as of 14/8/2020) and the app lets you know how many hours are left before it needs to be replaced.

If you suffer badly from allergens then this might be a very worthwhile investment.

Hopefully you found this review helpful.

Best air purifier for big rooms

As it’s quite a big machine you cannot hide behind something, it must look good. And this one has an awesome design! The fabric is a lot nicer than you would guess from the pictures.

To set it up is quite straightforward, after unpacking it ad removing the plastic, you plug it in, and that’s it. At first, it will be a bit unhappy with the quality of the air, it will run full power for a few minutes, and then it will become suddenly quiet.

Adding it to the app is also very easy as all you need to do is to pair it through the app to your phone. With the app, you can see the real-time values, some charts with the values history, and you can control the air purifier. You don’t even need to be at home to turn it on/off or change the mode.

The sleep mode is extremely quiet. I cannot hear it at all when it is running in this mode.

It makes a huge difference for my hay fever. When I’m at home, I don’t have any symptom when I’m running the air purifier.

I believe this is a great air purifier. Yes, it is expensive, but you will not need to replace the filter for three years, it looks great, works well, and it has very simple to use controls.

This is one of those gadgets that you didn’t know you needed until you get one. We have lived in our house for twenty years now breathing the same air day in day out not realising that it could possibly be affecting our health. In my household, both myself and my mom suffer from asthma. I also suffer from hay fever/pollen allergies. Our house is also prone to dust. You can polish on a daily basis and there will still be a new layer of dust on the tables when you’re finished. Enter the Phillips purifier… This machine is a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It is the size of a large speaker/sub woofer, and to be honest it looks like one too. The aesthetic of this purifier is modern and looks great in the corner of our room. Our living room isn’t very big but it this machine doesn’t look out of place. The grey fabric top looks very attractive. Set up was easy with this. I simply had to remove it from the box and take a plastic sheet off the removable filter, and I was ready to go. I installed the app on my iPhone and set up was seamless. I connected it to the wifi and within five minutes I was getting a realtime readout of the current air conditions. The LCD display with coloured light ring is also a great feature The light ring automatically adjusts to indicate the purity of the air. When I first turned on the machine, I was shocked to see that the light ring was red. It was showing an allergen reading of 12 which is very high. A few hours later however, the light ring turned to Blue/Purple, and the new reading was down to five. This means the air quality was fair, which was much better than the poor reading from earlier. This machine will need to be used over a long period to notice any real health benefits, but I am confident that it is of a high enough quality, and technologically advanced enough to get the job done. I trust that this will work, and I can’t wait to reap the benefits. The purifier blasts cool fresh hair out of a large top fan and you can feel the breeze which tells me something is happening. The connectivity with the phone is all very good, and notifications are received when the air quality begins to change. The only negative I have is the filter. The instructions say that when the filter needs changing, the machine locks, and the only replacement filter I have found is going to set me back 67 which is a very high price tag. I think it would have been more cost effective to the customer to have a filter that can be washed/hoovered and reused. I am slightly worried now about what will happen when the time comes to change the filter, as I fear i’ll no longer be able to use it until I have saved up enough money to buy a new overpriced filter. Aside from that, it looks great and works great. If you think your air quality needs improvement or you have a respiratory condition, then give it a try. I have included a video in my review for you to see the LCD panel in action.

    A breath of fresh air.

Short and simple it is an amazing air purifier. Straight from a moment its turn on it shows shouts it is a high-quality product as it should be for such a price. The first thing which makes you feel a quality its beautiful and bright digital display then you turn on this air purifier. Which has control buttons, and shows an Indoor allergen index, Gas pollution and PM2.5 display which is an amazing function. As well it shows the quality of air by a light colour around a display, so it looks beautiful. Furthermore, it is very easy to use all you need it’s just a few buttons pushes to adjust a mode ( auto, power or night ) and turn on or off button. However, it is possible not to use these buttons as an app can be downloaded and it is possible to control this air purifier from outside work or somewhere else. As well app gives you a notification about changes in the air inside of the room. And it is very easy to connect. Then a night mode is on it is impossible to hear is it working, it so silent I checked if it was still operating. A filter can be removed very easily, and change in it will not be any problem, A filter itself are HEPA and active carbon which cleans up to 0.3-micron particles and removes all unpleasant smells. Which is very helpful as our neighbour smokes and, can smell it in the room straight away. So all i need is just turn on purifier at turbo mode, and it will be gone in a matter of minutes.
Overall, it is an amazing product for a quite high price. But it performs for this money 100 %, and will not disappoint anyone.

    Amazing air purifie

Although this arrives seemingly fully assembled, you need to remove the filters, unwrap them and then refit. Easy to do and then you are ready to switch on.

There is an app you can download for full control but you can also manually do so without using it. I found it easy to download and pair the purifier, then having access to information about air quality. I have an existing purifier, which is an earlier model and, to be honest, I rarely look at the app information, so don’t let a lack of a smart device or a wish to avoid having yet another app put you off of this purifier.

Once the filter has been unwrapped, plug it in and then pair with the app (if you wish) or just let it start to clean the air. It has an auto, turbo and sleep mode; turbo is noisy but both other levels are quiet and the sleep mode is barely perceptible and unlikely to cause any issues for even the most noise sensitive individuals.

The purifier is quite large and around the size of a cylindrical kitchen bin. There is a fabric top, which will help it to blend in with soft furnishings and stop it looking too industrial in a lounge or bedroom. Despite the size, it is easy to carry around the house as it is very lightweight.

All of the controls are on the top and easily accessible – or you can use the app. It is easy to use and you just leave it running in your chosen space, safe in the knowledge that it is removing nasties from the air every second it is running. Hay fever season is not something that stops my being able to sleep – my existing purifier takes pollen and pulverises it before it affects me. I used to suffer badly with hay fever, but barely feel affected when I am in the room with the purifier.

Replacement filters for many items are currently difficult to source. I have purchased the replacement filter for this purifier already so that I won’t need to worry about being unable to get one when this needs to be replaced. The replacement is currently linked on this page, but it is the FY3430 that you need should the pairing ever separate.

I like the fact that this is boxed with cardboard padding rather than plastic or polystyrene, which means you can recycle the vast majority of the packaging.

Overall, I found this made a difference to the air quality in my room, making it fresher and more vibrant. Pollen is much reduced, so I find huge relief from hay fever symptoms whilst this is running. It can be left on constantly and is mainly just a background hum that you can barely hear, other than when it ramps up the fans when it detects something that needs to be addressed. I think it is great and particularly useful during hay fever season.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersI will keep this brief and as useful as possible. I currently have the latest Dyson Hot+Cool air purifier which I used for 2 weeks+ prior to getting this, that’s now being sent back on account of the Phillips being far superior in direct comparison when used within my home. The single physical downfall of this purifier is the fabric design element which looks nice but would be difficult to clean, the functional downfall is that it looks like it could be a Google home product yet it has not integration into that system currently.

I have had many air purifiers and even had the previous gen Phillips equivalent which had poor build quality in comparison to this and vibrated noisily. This moves a lot of air within, and inevitably when air is moved through a machine it creates noise, that is the main audible element here and it can get loud when high, thats not due to noisy poor quality parts as is the case with others.

I could say much more but will leave it there! Hope this helps someone.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersGreat product – just works. Don’t get me wrong, Amazon is full of cheaper air purifers (probably a bit related to the current global situation). For me the plus is that the filter is expected to last up to 3 years (that’s 4-6 times longer than the cheaper products e.g. Levoit – which are cheaper upfront, but catches you out gradually on the total cost of ownership, if you were to renewal the filters – as you should). You get what you pay for, the filter works quickly, efficiently. Fan ramps up can be a little noisy, but the automatic mode is workable. Night mode works, but is a little weak. Much better for the purposes of air purification than my previous AC 3829/60 2-in-1 Purifier & Humidifier (which I returned because of compromised design – the filter on that ran out much faster – once a few months). This new generation is great at purification – might get a standalone humidifier later. Obviously this does not filter out that current global virus (which is 2-3x smaller than what the HEPA filter manages) – then again without going to UVC equipped HEPA specialised product – you’ll generally struggle to filter that with HEPA systems.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDoes a great job of reducing the pm2.5 and allergens. Looks great. App is excellent. Also makes a nice breeze around the room when set to turbo.

The sound is almost nonexistent when in sleep mode, but of course the effectiveness of filtration is hugely reduced because of the decreased fan speed, normally wake up in the morning and set to Turbo briefly before setting to Auto for the day.

Want to buy another for downstairs!
