These come for self-assembly. However, it didn’t take me long, relatively easy. Chairs are good and comfy, but nevertheless I have bought cushions for them.
Sedie molto eleganti, di buona fattura e semplici da assemblare. Fanno una bella figura e sono molto comode
Il peso di una sedia e’ 5,8 kg e non 16!! Soddisfatti delle sedie!
These chairs were easy to assemble and the instructions were simple.
Two chairs in the pack which arrive in one large, heavy parcel. The chairs are flat pack and require some quite robust assembly because some of the pieces are large and took two of us to piece together. Construction isn’t too easy but once assembled the chairs are decent quality and overall design is good. They’re a generous size but they won’t stand for a lot of rough and tumble. Check the screws regularly to make sure they’re not coming loose. Looks great with my outside table and compliment my other two chairs from a different range.
This pack of 2 garden chairs come flatpacked – i thought assembly would be a lot harder than it was – a couple of the screws did not fit or broke but my husband had spares so that was not too much of a problem – and we had both assembled in about 30 minutes.
They are quite large chairs – and made from a lightweight metal – i think they look lovely in the garden.
They are quite expensive though – i have seem similar for a lot less!
i like they are lightweight and look nice when built, they are pretty easy to put together till you get to attaching the back of the seat, one of the holes is covered by thick plastic which will require a drill to make a hole so you can get the screw in, the screws are soft and round off easily making it impossible to fully tighten some of them, at 119 i think they are a tad over priced i would have expected heavier chairs with better quality screws for this price, the paint is also thin and scratches very easily
Supplied as a set of two, these are stylish and sturdy garden chairs. They have a modern design which sits well in modern styles of gardens and on patios and terraces. Having said that the dark powder coated finish blends in well to most garden settings.
The chairs are supplied partly assembled, and simply need bolting together. This should be easy enough for most people. They are fairly lightweight in their own right, but not so light they blow around like plastic would.
They are fairly comfortable, and the arms make it much more comfortable and good for people with reduced mobility to get in and out. They really do need cushions however, and indeed look nicer with cushions, the proportions on the chair somehow visually need extra height from a cushion.
Unfortunately the finish of these isn’t great. There are knocks in the metal and lots of imperfections in the powder coated finish. The spots where the metal elements have been welded together are also very crudely done, with a very lumpy finish which is clearly visible from all sides. It doesn’t detract from their use and on first glance you might not notice, but these are quite pricey so should have a better finish. The bolts in the side also look quite crude.
Overall, these are nice chairs and will get a lot of use. Once made up they seem pretty strong and stable so should get years of use. They’re modern, but not too modern look sits well in most gardens. But the finish isn’t that good for the price.
These are nice and light stackable garden chairs.
Easy peasy to fit together.
Everything is in the box.
They are so light to move around.
They look good.
They look summery!!!!
These chairs come flat packed, but all the tools necessary to assemble them are supplied as are a set of adequate instructions in diagrammatic form. The Resident Warlock had both of them up and running in under an hour without any complaints. The resulting seats are extremely comfortable even without any cushions. They are quite high, so even those with mobility problems will have no problem getting in and out of them. They also allow for those of broad beam, which is not always the case with this style of chair. They look very solid, but are, in fact light and easy to move. I particularly like the classic design as it goes with various features in my garden. These chairs are certainly a step up from the usual, common or garden, plastic chair, and I think this warrants the rather high price point.
Packed well and arrived without flaw on the coating as it’s well protected. Easy to put together. You just need to assemble 4 pieces together and secure with 12 heavy duty screws to form a chair. Sturdy, neat and timeless design. Very comfortable to sit on and will look nice with seat cushion too. Easy to clean. Good value for money.
These come flat packed, but each chair consists of only four parts, plus bolts.
Assembly is quite straightforward until the last bolts are attached to the back, when you have to really exert some force to align the bolts and holes.
The chairs are feather light to carry, which is good. They are fairly comfortable to sit in but the squab is quite deep. My only reservation is in the finish, which appears to show brown rust spots below the surface.
These come flat packed so I was reconciled to some Zen and the art of garden furniture assembly. The makers seem to have given up on translating instructions and have settled for diagrams. The latter aren’t too helpful but at least provide a picture to show what the assembled chair should look like. A relatively intuitive design , each chair comes in three pieces and only 12 screws require with allen key provided. Simple—except…for some reason two plastic tabs covered two of the holes on one of the chairs. I presume this was with safety in mind, but they were extremely hard to remove-and by the time I realised why the chair wasn’t fitting together, (having had to borrow a pair of pliers) -it took me about an hour to get it sorted. Flushed with success I promptly assembled the other one with seat upside down…even allowing for this it took 20 mins.
I am pleased with them though, they are stable and seem chunky (and heavy) enough to wear well. They stack very nicely too. One of the legs on mine has a slight dent but not enough to notice or knock off a star–that may happen if they don’t stand the weather.
This arrived about a week after ordering and the label says it’s made in China. It was well packaged and was quite a heavy box. Inside there were 4 chair arm sections, 2 seats, 2 seatback legs, a bag full of screws, bolts, allen key and an instruction booklet.
It’s relatively straightforward to put together and the instructions are reasonably clear. The first one took me about half an hour to figure out and the second one took only10 minutes. The arms screw into the seat base and then that screws into the seat back and legs.
The bolt heads are very soft and need to be treated with care, I wore out 2 heads without even really trying. Absolutely do not use a powered driver to tighten these up, use the supplied allen key. Even with the allen key, the force needed to tighten some of these bolts led to the head being scraped away. This meant that even with care, you could end up with a damaged bolt head that stops you from tightening the whole chair up. This lack of quality may lead to the issue shown in the attached video where one of the chairs is not square to the floor and rocks on one axis. My guess is that this is due to some of the bolts not being fully tightened, something I am unable to do.
One of the legs also had a dent in it, but not one that you would notice in daily use. Whilst this is made of metal, it does feel slightly fragile and I expect would pick up dents and bumps quite easily. It does look very nice though in a brushed black finish. It is also quite comfortable to sit on.
For me this just scrapes 4 stars as it looks attractive and is reasonably comfortable to sit on. It would have been easily 5 stars if the quality of the components was higher. It also seems a bit lower quality than expected for 99.
Comes as a self assembly kit, but it only took 40 minutes from opening the box to finish both chairs. Everything is pre-drilled and tapped, and fits together without the need to swear.
An Alan key is included, but get a set of hex bits for your screwdriver to speed up the assembly.
These garden chairs looks good and comfortable enough. However it is made of thin metal, therefore i dont think its worth for the price.
Was easy enough to put it together, but the screws are cheap quality and once its done, some are so worn out, that i will never be able to unscrew it. Instructions doesnt mention to remove plastic from 2 holes, i put it together then had to undo it to remove plastic and screw it again.
I am reviewing these at 119.99 for two chairs.
They come in a relatively small box for two chairs and have several self-assembly pieces for each – seat, back, left and right arms. You get a load of nuts and washers and a pathetic Allen key which you should replace with a decent screwdriver bit if you want to assemble them in decent time.
The use of plastic packaging is very excessive – tons of useless, disposable plastic which could be easily replaced with cardboard – but they have clearly thought about where the scratches are likely to happen and the overall level of protection in the box is good.
The nuts and washers are not the best, I suggest a little WD-40 or similar when tightening up might help. A couple of them felt like they were grinding their way into the holes as I was tightening them. It was also awkward to balance the two arms and seat to attach to the back – I actually found it easier to stand everything up rather than doing it with the chair lying on the floor.
The seat is quite generous for the posterior and the overall feel of the chairs is good. I hope they will last in the Great British climate but only time will tell, I will update the review if they start rusting.
Overall these are nice chairs for the garden but the quality isn’t that high and 120 is a lot to pay for two metal garden chairs.
These are really well built, solid chairs (and therefore a bit of pain to put together) but – for me – the frame is just too big, and the seat is quite small. Looks a bit daft to my eyes. I’m only taking one star off because design is in the eye of the beholder and after construction I just don’t like them much. However, if you after an aggressive minimalist design, these might be for.
