The colours and graphics are good but the game play can be quite hard for younger players.
I was told it was repetative and boring and game was quickly stopped being used.
Not as good as other versions
Let me start by saying that I’m a massive PvZ fan, MASSIVE! I absolutely loved PvZ GW2 and played it to the point of where there was nothing else do to in the map.
So what has changed:
– The graphics seem a bit more cartoony is this one, it took me a while to get used to.
– It’s online only so you will need Xbox Gold to play as it joins you to the starting area with players there already, unlike in PvZ GW2 where you could only access online features by going through the portal. Not sure if this changes anything in the game, feels like a forced way to make players purchase Gold.
– Split screen is still available. As soon the 2nd player connects his controller an option to join appears, which has been made smoother than in the previous game.
– Has new maps to explore with an arcade mode of it’s own and this time it gives you hints on where to find gnomes, I think this is a major improvement
– The fire, toxic, ice etc. characters have been joined in one where you can add upgrades, which is cool but I still miss the elements characters.
– Money seems to be completely useless. There is something called Reward-o-tron where you can buy stuff like a lucky dip but it is only consumables and eventually I had them all so I have millions on coins but nowhere to use them. You can also pay to earn XP which I don’t think is a necessary feature.
– Turf takeovers are still great, but could use more maps. I know they did release a new one – Storm Time machine map which was exciting but that was a while ago.
– Online maps now have computers playing against you as well if there are not enough people in the opposing team which really helps as they are not easy so the whole game isn’t wasted if there are not enough people like it was on the previous version.
– Quests. You get 2 daily quests + 1 rainbow stars quest (split in 3) a week. I feel like it’s not enough. Once completed you get bulbs which you can then use for Monthly rewards map which is pretty much the only thing that keeps me playing the game at this point.
One thing that I find frustrating is if you have a zombie quest but get joined only to plants teams and vice versa. I get it if the opposing team is full, but most of the time it has computers playing so why not let players who need it join?
It’s a great online game, but I am desperately hoping that new stuff will be added – new features, new maps. I think the setup is great and new things could easily be added without having to create a full new game. Hell, do a new maps upgrade for a 10 I am sure people like me would be more than happy to pay.
Bought for our son who loves plants Vs zombies. He said it is brilliant but not as good as the others. Have had fun playing it and it was fast delivery.
I play this with my 2 boys and we have loads of fun. Online is the main feature of this game, so make sure you or your child has Xbox Live for it to work. It’s more of the same from a great series. A few things freshen it up but to be honest there is still fun to be had in the earlier games if you can find them cheaper. This is a great kid / family friendly shooter – recommended
Kids love it and haven’t played anything but this game. My children are 8 and 11 they play together getting along together, yes together!
Very good value!
Good fun game with whacky characters. Some good new additions too. I still prefer the previous game of Pv’sZ but that will be a hard one to beat for me.
My son loves these games and has played all the others.
Had to buy him a copy after he had been watching his dad play the game and wanted his own copy rather then using his dads one. Now that can play together.
Starts you off with a lot of tutorial type challenges to get you used to the game but they’re actually enjoyable. Not played much but enjoyed what I have done so far.
Great game, not just for kids. The only down side is that I found it too easy as it doesn’t have a hard difficulty setting
The colours and graphics are good but the game play can be quite hard for younger players.

My son asked for it and really enjoys the game. Good buy.

This made Christmas for my 9 year old. You have to buy extra bits if you want all the outfits for the plants/zombies which is a pain for parents .
Decent game, my step son plays on it a lo
Kids love it and haven’t played anything but this game. My children are 8 and 11 they play together getting along together, yes together!

Nephew loves it, it’s hard to find games for kids nowadays where they have a low age rating
Great game. My 8 year old loves it. Easy to play and has 2player.

Bought for my 8yr old son for Christmas and he loves it.
Brilliant game, great graphics, I have garden warefare 1&2 as well. In my opinion there the best games ever to be created!!!!
My boys were huge fans of the the previous one but think this one is even better. Hours or exploring later and they still love it!
This was bought for my grandson for Christmas and he hasn’t stopped playing with it since. He thinks its great.
Brilliant game. My son has the other two, think he’s almost completed it already.
Good fun game with whacky characters. Some good new additions too. I still prefer the previous game of Pv’sZ but that will be a hard one to beat for me.

Had to buy him a copy after he had been watching his dad play the game and wanted his own copy rather then using his dads one. Now that can play together.
Bought this for my son as he loves the other 2 pvz games.
He loves this one just as much.
It’s got new characters and is lots of fun.
My son loves this game. On par with previous pvz game
Fantastic game my daughter loves playing this game well worth the money paid cheaper than on Xbox live
My son age 7 thought this game was great a little difficult and not easy to do for his age but keeps him busy
Great game. Son loves it. Amazing graphics and game play for hours.
Item was reasonably-priced, and arrived on time – all the way from Europe!
Alas, game’s merits can only be judged when it’s opened on Christmas Day!
Both son and daughter love this series. We have all Plants vs zombies games now. Need more!
I bought this item for my gran son I know it is what he wants
My son loves PvZ so this game was eagerly awaited. It did not disappoint. Great fun. Great missions too

As a family we love playing this game. Even our 3 year old is pretty good.
