As the title says. Works great for a room, not so great to direct the cooling as it’s more of a room cooler than directed.

It cools room well but at night we like to put them on above us sleeping, so that needs a narrower output, this one is more spaced out so not as good for sleeping under.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis really works to cool my attic bedroom, takes it from 36 degrees down to 25 degrees quickly which is a dream in this heatwave. The machine itself is heavy but it’s on wheels so easy to position. The remote controller seems to have a 5 second lag but once you are aware of it, it really doesn’t matter. The only downside to this unit is the noise, I keep it on the lower mode as it reduces the noise a little compared with high mode. It’s significantly louder than my tower fan but then it creates a significantly cooler environment than a fan alone. Kind of reminds me of the constant noise you hear when on a plane. I watched some of the other reviewers videos to hear the sound and it’s louder than I expected from those videos. The positives of the cooling outweigh the negatives of the noise for me but it’s worth bearing the noise in mind if you have sensitive hearing. I bought it because my cats really struggled in the last heatwave and I wanted to keep them safe the noise means they won’t stay in the same room as it but it cools the corridor outside and they are happily sleeping out there. Hope this helps potential buyers

Works very well to cool either the bedroom or living room would be good if it was supplied with a window kit for a casement window. In terms of sound you can definitely tell it’s on but not enough to stop you sleeping or disturb you from watching the tv obviously if it’s in your face it’s going to have a different effect but we use it roughly 5m away and it’s absolutely fine.

I got this 100 less than it’s currently on for due to the heatwave but very happy with the value for money. To use a few hours a day, a few weeks for the year it’s perfect. Possibly not in countries where it’s 35 everyday but here it’s great.

Yes it’s quite loud but we actually find it kinda relaxing to sleep with plus after 2 hours of use you’re freezing anyway and turn it off.

This is a great air conditioner to keep a room cool. It’s been great in the current heatwave.
What would make this better would be 1. If there was an even lower setting that made less noise so it could be used in an occupied bedroom. And 2. If it could be controlled by an app from a phone etc.
I used this to cool a bedroom. I switch it on about an hour before the room is needed. I usually switch it off when in the room due to the noise.

Very good for the price. The fact you dont need to clear water on air con mode is a godsend. Only reason its not a 5 is it is fairly loud. Also remote could do with leds so can see in the dark.

So I bought this AC since it’s really hot on London this year I have a 1 bedroom flat decently large bedroom, it will definitely cool your room down guys like I can sleep very comfortably with it in. Many people say it’s so loud but it’s an air conditioner at the end of the day it’s not ridiculously loud and not as loud as a hoover I love the noise actually it’s like white noise and can sleep with it on without a problem. However the downsides of this is I found it can only cool the room it’s in so the cool air doesn’t really travel to the living room and cool that down as soon as I leave my bedroom I can feel the barrier between the cool air in my room and warm air outside. Also my AC is always in cool mode but it still gives water out from the back as if it’s in cool and humidifying air and I connect the hose and leave it in a large plastic container which gets full of water within 6-7 hours. The remote is basic which does the job so it’s fine. The pipe that goes out the window was a huge mission for me to put but I finally got it to fit together and then it was fine. But I would give this product a 4/5 because nothing is perfect so I’ll never give a 5 to anything.

This a great product for the money and it certainly cools a room down. Yes it is noisy compaired to a normal fan, but no more than an air conditioning unit you would find in a hotel. It certainly doesn’t stop me from hearing the television. My only criticism would be that it needs a lcd display on the front too. If you are in a chair and using the remote, you cannot see what temp you have set the unit to. The fixing kit I would say isn’t very universal for modern style windows, so you may have to find another way to hold it in place or just stick the ducting out the window. The seller was quick at dispatching even during the July heatwave

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this 2 weeks before the heatwave hit 40 degrees, my house doesnt usually get crazy hot, but I work at home and didnt want to fry – so bought the unit – its a fair weight, and fair size, it does what its supposed to – if you have any expereice of air con, you know its gonna make some noise – ignore the goons on here saying its too loud and you cant hear the TV – they probably didnt think about position when they were ordering – so if it sits withing 3 feet of you, it will make blowing noises, the sort of noises you associate with AC! my lounge/kitchen adjoin and are about 20 feet long in total and maybe 9/10 feet wide – i chucked the hose out the window and it it kept the place 23 degrees right theough the heatwave 🙂 – it has been a bargain!

I bought this for my loft as it can become very hot in summer and I work from home in the loft. I was hoping it would be ask good as the reviews make it out to be and it is. No problem cooling down the room. It’s not much louder than a big fan so the noise doesn’t bother me.

It’s quite heavy so not something I would move from room to room but in its current location it does what it needs to.

So for me the air con has been fantastic. Is a little on the loud side but that doesn’t mean that it’s put me off using it in the heat for bed. I wouldn’t say it could do as big of a space as advertised but do think this is fantastic for one room. Now with the majority of people having windows that were not compatible with the equipment supplied is a huge problem as there is only the option for windows that slide up and down, while most windows in the country open at the side so If this is your situation then I would recommend buying something compatible for your window type. Also buy a bucket for the water outlet as you will need it. I do think the hose should be longer so the hose could dangle out of the window too. Please do not be put off by these very small issues as I really think this was worth every penny I put in too it!! 🙂

This has been an absolute godsend for me at 30+ weeks pregnant in the British heatwave – don’t know how I would’ve survived without it. Not too noisy, and gets the room down to a bearable temperature in minutes.

Excellent product. Can tell the difference immediately once you leave the room and enter again.

The portable AC unit kept the room nice and cool throught out the heatwaves we’ve experienced in the UK. The wheels on the unit made it easy to move from one room to another. The timer function came in handy at nighttime. The unit does make some noise which cannot be avoided, regardless of what ever unit you get, but if its a decision between a little bit of noise and heat I choose a little bit of noise any day.

  15. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve not had any problems with this unit at all. I left it standing for the first 24 hours as instructed and then hooked it up and started using it. I had to buy a separate window seal as I have a casement window, but it worked just fine with the AC unit. During the recent heatwave it was nearly 40C outside my house and about 35C inside. In my bedroom, with the AC running I got it down to a relatively chilly 25C – Bliss! That was the average room temperature of course, the air coming out of the AC was much cooler – so a joy to stand in front of.

The unit is a bit heavy, so transporting it up and down stairs might be too much for some. It has wheels though so it is easy to move it from one room to another on the same level. It is somewhat noisy (sound of rushing air – who would have guessed), but bearable – although you couldn’t sleep with it on.

As with all single pipe portable units, it’s not going to be super efficient. It sucks air from the room, cools some and then throws the rest, now heated, out the (sealed) window – so there’s going to be a negative pressure in the room. This results in warm air being sucked back into the room – so inefficient. But I’m OK with that for the few days in the year that I absolutely need it. So I’m very happy with this purchase.

Have just purchased a second one as the first proved to be effective and reliable. Capable of cooling a large, open-plan kitchen (but not an entire floor). This has two fan speeds — not exactly quiet but reasonable noise. Can act as a fan-only or A/C or as a dehumidifier.

Unit is well-packed and arrived undamaged. Comes with remote, exhaust hose & adapters to fit most horizontal windows (additional adapter required for vertical windows which tilt outward). Remote control is simple and robust. Easy to roll around but recommend two people to carry if needed to go up or down a flight of stairs. Good value overall.

Not bad item for the price. Used it in my open plan kitchen/conservatory and was a life saver during the heatwave. Moderate noise level but that was expected. Most importantly to me-did the job and cooled the room nicely. Wish it was smaller but I knew what I was buying.

I got this to help my girlfriend primarily as she’s pregnant but it’s a good job I did thanks to the recent weather.
I use it only as air con, not the fan or dehumidifier (at the minute)
It has 2 speeds, both of which are great, the latter more powerful.
It takes a few seconds to cool down to that holiday abroad hotel room temperature which is lovely.
I haven’t used the window attachments as I have no need, I just put the nozzle out of the window directly.
It isn’t overly loud, it’s like a louder fan and isn’t over sized so fits well in any room.
It is quite heavy though but is on wheels so isn’t too difficult to move.

Vedry effective at cooling a large domestic room. Remember that you have to put the extracted air duct to outside – we did this through an open window and closed the curtains around the pipe. The unit takes 800 – 900W in use so watch the electricity bill.

Amazing air con. Got this for the summer heat and it’s been a life saver. I live in an upstairs room with a boiler and it’s always been hot every summer. This air con cools my room down so well and was easy to set up. The noise isn’t as loud as other air cons I’ve used but still noticeable. However I would certainly recommend this air con to anyone. Purchased this product for my son and his partner. Their house is absolutely scorching In this heat. My. son says without the air con unit they would have not been able to sleep at all and have suffered many an uncomfortable night in the hot weather. It keeps their bedroom lovely and cool even to the point they can turn it off as the room gets nice and cold which also saves on electricity as it’s not needed all night long.
Well worth buying, no point in suffering in this hot weather. Also a good price

Very happy to have bought this a few weeks ago. It’s been a life saver during this heatwave. The unit itself is quite heavy but once it is in position it is easy to move about as it has casters. It isn’t to bulk which means storing it isn’t a problem. The extension hose is quite short and so we purchased an extension hose which we were also delighted with. It is also really quiet by comparison.

My dog sits in front of it with belly showing to cool down in these hot temps.

The window kit is a bit of an annoying thing to put in but once done and tightened you shouldn’t need to touch again all day.

Yes it’s a little on the loud side (imagine 2x pedestal fans running at high speed sort of noise) but you soon phase it out for the cool breeze it sends over.

As portable air cons go, I’m happy with my purchase (so is my dog)

This is our second portable air conditioner(albeit from a different manufacturer). The first was sent back due to needing emptying of condensed water every hour or so despite claiming to send it out the exhaust pipe. This one works correctly, no emptying required.

The room it’s in is around 7m by 4m and gets hot, like 29 hot. With the air on on it gets down to 22. That in itself makes it worthwhile.

It’s noisy, there’s no denying it although you can still watch and listen to tv whiles it’s on (a sound meter on my phone registered it average between 56 and 65db) or have a conversation. Sleeping might be difficult though if you’re a light sleeper.

It uses between 600 and 850w whilst cooling, so less than 30p an hour at our current rate (July 2021). Only you can decide if that’s economic or not.

I’ve not found it very good at modulating temperature so far. We either have it on at 16 trying to cool the room or switched off ‘cos the room has gotten cold. Still better than sweating and feeling ill though!

    It works!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis item has perfectly cooled down one of the rooms in my house. We started it on the lowest temp and had to turn it up a couple of degrees as it was all so icy. Our room is quite small, so it’s very effective. The window kit works easily on our windows (a slide up, open from the bottom type window). In the room we’re cooling, we also leave the door open, to let cool leak into the house. It doesn’t permeate the other rooms to ice them up, but it does drop the general temperature a little in the next room and it all feels that bit more bearable. London is hot right now. We bought this in the July Heatwave of 2022 (threats of 40 degrees). I am so pleased we did.

For the price of the unit, we are really impressed!
We bought this to keep our babies room cool for bedtime. It takes about 60-90 mins to cool from 26/27 to 19/20. We then switch it off. The temperature does creep back up a little as we haven’t sealed the window – but it’s bearable from then on.
Yes, it’s a little noisy but most air con units are and if that is something that would bother you, you probably need to look at the far more expensive units. For us personally though, we like the white noise and so does baby!
Overall it’s done exactly what we wanted it to do, which is take away the extreme heat for sleeping.

Only had this a week, but so far so good. Cools the room well, light enough for me to carry up stairs and easy to use and put together. It is noisy, that is not a surprise to me, so we use before sleep to cool the room and then turn it off. Can’t comment on the running cost as we don’t have a smart meter. Overall works well and small enough to manoeuvre.

Purchased this a few weeks ago in anticipation of hot weather seen in a long term forecast. It was an excellent move. It’s much smaller than my older unit which is now 8 years old. The unit itself is easy to use with a remote and touch buttons on the top of the unit. I use it in my large bedroom for about an hour before I go to bed, I set it on 19c and the room is very cold by the time I’m ready for bed, so it’s very efficient – just make sure you have it set to refrigerate as the default setting is to something different. My only gripe is that the hose is about 1 meter too short so I’ll have to purchase an extender. I have tilt and turn windows, so the kit provided is useless. The product however is brilliant, but too loud to have on through the night. It is a heavy piece of kit, so whilst portable to move to other rooms on the same floor, I wouldn’t like to carry it up/down stairs.

Great little portable AC unit. Yes it’s not quiet, but it’s not nearly as loud as I was expecting based on some reviews on here Imagine a large fan on full power, that kind of volume. Brilliant cooling power, one (and only) negative is the length of the output duct, it’s not really long enough when you consider the height of windows from the floor so I had to order a 3m duct. All in all, great product, worth buying.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersBought on the 16th June 2022 and was left to stand as instructed, worked fine for the first occasion and cooled the room exceptionally well, then we get the heatwave so have it on for a few hours, cools the room beautifully. Decide to go out so switch it off, come back in, switch it on thinking lovely it’s 28 degrees so will be nice to enjoy some aircon – and then it just dies. No lights, nothing. Not the fuse, not the remote, clearly issues with the construction of this particular machine as it didn’t last 5 hours use. Now waiting to see what the seller is able to do at which point I will update the review. Update – after the first machine issues, a new machine was delivered by the seller who was very helpful and this has worked fine so far. It is ok for a small room, we combined it with a floor fan to blow the colder air in to the adjoining room and this worked well to bring the temperature down in that room also. All in all, provided it works, it’s ok.

Bought this AC unit for the coming summer heat and it did not disappoint.
I had read through many of the reviews and thought I’d give this unit a go as it was a higher BTU than most in the same price range at the time. Whilst I’m only cooling a smaller home office, there are 2 people working from home during the day in this small home office with large gaming PCs in the evening so the room can get unbearably warm in the summer with the computers pumping out heat.

    Pros:
    – Cools our home office fantastically.
    – Quick to cool the room down (note that our home office isn’t too large)
    – Easy to unpack and easy to setup.
    – Super simple instructions.

    Cons:
    – Only 2 fan speeds (would have appreciated a slower fan speed)
    – Not that quiet but honestly not that loud either.
    – Its pretty heavy.
    – Can be expensive to run (but that should be expected).

Honestly, it was a great purchase and well worth the money as someone who works from home.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI am an elderly lady who needs equipment that is easy to get going from point of delivery and easy to manouvre in situ. The air conditioner arrived promptly and was easy to put together. I did wait for the 6 hours advised on the outer packing and fiddled a bit with the window fitting gear, as I only have small, outward-opening top windows. The sliding gear fitted in easily and I secured it with a couple of pieces of strong, double -sided tape. I then devised a fly screen , made of plant netting and tied that on, secured with awning clips that will be easy to remove at a later date.
This unit was purchased as an addition to 2 x 20 year old air conditioners which have tanks that need to be emptied of water several times a day in hot, humid weather., partly because of the fact that the new one discharges the water through its own hot air duct when in cooling mode. Having now used it, I am well-aware of the improvement in speed and fast cooling effect. It is almost enough to cool my entire 2 bedroom bungalow, but a second one will be a perfect solution in really hot weather such, as we now suffering. The only downside, is that it is a bit noisy, but I got the house cool enough yesterday, in about 4 hours, to enjoy a perfectly acceptable night temperature. I always had to use my old ones overnight and almost all day in very hot weather, so think I shall be able to get a better result with less use of electricity with this model. In addition, it is pleasing to look at and not as large as the old ones. One perhaps important point is that it has a much wider outlet hose and I am guessing that this disperses heat from the house much faster. I just hope that it lasts as long as my old ones!

This unit is great, cools our bedroom and lounge (as it’s not that difficult to move around) quickly and effectively! You do have to buy a separate window kit if you have standard windows that open in our outward but the homee ones are great and only 20!

The only negative is how loud it is! I definitely wouldn’t be able to sleep with it on and when you turn it off, room does then warm up but for how few “really hot nights” we get in the UK and for the mid-range price, can’t grumble too much!

We use it in the lounge for the peak parts of the day and then switch to windows/doors open in the evenings and just switch to an ordinary freestanding fan for the nights in our bedroom.

    I would recommend it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSo we bought this after the first spell of hot weather to hit the U.K. in 2022, as our bedroom gets so hot that we end up sleeping on the kitchen floor by the open back door!

It’s relatively easy to put together, although I could have done with a slightly longer pipe. The window kit wasn’t designed for our style of windows, however a couple of bin bags scrunched up will seal gaps top and bottom very effectively.

The remote isn’t great and you might need to press 2 or 3 times before the unit responds.

It’s smaller but heavier than I expected, I wouldn’t want my 77 year old mum trying to move this around.

But what it does do well is cool down a quite large bedroom (15ft sq) in about 30-40mins. We usually run it for an hour before we go to bed, and it feels like stepping into the M&S freezer section- ok maybe not that cold but you get the idea!

It’s pretty noisy though, not sure if you could sleep with it on if you are a light sleeper.

Overall it does what it supposed to do, cools down a room enough during UK heatwaves for you to be able to sleep in bed instead of on the kitchen floor!

Glad I bought this before the hotter weather came along. Yes, it does make a noise (don’t they all) but I am willing to trade this off for the comfort of a cool room. Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI bought this product as I was fed up with sat working at home in a puddle of sweat. Pointing a large desk fan at my head was no longer cutting the mustard.

I bit the bullet and bought this after a lot of research and reading reviews of similar items. The reviews sold it for me. I purchased via the payment plan which was very easy to set up and is managed through Barclays.

As for the Aircon unit itself, it definitely is as described. It cools a room down very quickly, I have a living room with dimensions of approx. 6×4 metres and it took about 15-20 minutes to cool down to the desired 16 degrees Celsius. There are 2 speed settings and 3 cooling settings, I have mainly used the Ice/frost setting to cool the room down rather than dehumidify or fan.

The product came with a window seal adaptor and exhaust hose. However the adaptor only fits sliding windows, which most new build homes in the UK don’t use. I still need to but a open window adaptor separately. I have found sticking the exhaust out an open window and closing the curtains is effective enough for now. Obviously it is vital the exhaust be able to vent outside to remove the hot air from the room.

I am very happy with the product as a whole, but have 2 minor drawbacks. Firstly it is heavy, as the exhaust hose isn’t massively long it does not reach a lot of my windows. For that reason I have had to put the aircon unit on a chair or box in order for the hose to reach out the window. Lifting it could be a challenge for the weaker of individuals. My 10 yr old son definitely couldnt manage.

Second drawback unfortunately is that it is not as quiet as I was hoping. Yes I understand it blows out cool air into a room with a fan, but paying this much I was hoping for a more quiet sound. I am a very light sleeper so I was unable to sleep at night with this unit on in the background. However I am sure some could cope, similar to white noise.

I have recommended this to others already as it is a great product. Keep it cool folks

    Cool produc

Wanted a portable AC for a while now and finally decided to buy one, I’d done some research and initially was looking at more expensive devices however decided for the few weeks a year it’s hot enough to want one, to opt for the cheaper side of the market.

Performance wise this does eventually cool down an average size room, but the unit is a lot more noisy than I expected it to be. Even the low fan setting is seriously loud.

Perhaps that is the difference between the 500 units and this one, when comparing the same BTU value!

I’ve only used the cool setting, and it goes down to 16 degrees which is good. 2 fan speeds and a decent length exhaust hose for sticking out the window.

I live in a new apartment complex where my room regularly reaches 28 degrees, this unit has brought my room down to around the 20 mark which is lovely on those hot summer days. The remote is the best feature and its fairly easy to move due to its wheels. The pipe for the back to vent the hot air is quite short but does the job well. Overall a good product.

This is a proper air conditioner with a fridge circuit – not one of those silly evaporative coolers (read humidifier). This unit removes heat and humidity from the air. Moisture is cleverly dispersed into the exhaust air system and out of the window, so no container to drain every day. The fan has two modes, both provide a powerful delivery. There is a sleep mode where the digital lights dim and the the fan slows to low speed. Temperature can be controlled between 16 and 24C. There is a 24 hour timer that can stop start the unit. The unit consumes 1.0 kW in full cooling mode (3 kW or 9000 btu). Would buy again.

Unit works as described, no issues. In terms of noise, keep in mind, you basically have a mini fridge blowing cold air in one direction and hot air in another (via the hose); that’s a lot to content with inside a relatively small package. Certainly worth the money, though; even cools multiple rooms as the cold air flows through the corridor.

We have a few similar units in the office that we have previously purchased for more than double the cost of this unit. This one is better and quieter than all of them. Can’t believe the value for money. Will be replacing all of our units with one of these now!

I wasnt sure what to expect with this, all reviews seem good but it was on the cheap side. I didnt need to worry. After a couple of weeks use during this latest UK heatwave it performed perfectly and as long as it lasts I will be a very happy bunny. Quite small compared to ones my old office had and easily as powerful. Takes a minute to get going (maybe 2 mins) and my previously boiling room is cool again. Look smart too. Very happy

I was really impressed with the packaging and how easy it was to fit together. Worked really well on the hot night we had and i was happy with the white noise level. Only criticism would be the remote is not lit up so hard to see buttons and the auto off function is in hours rather than smaller amounts and quite hard to work. Apart from that a really good machine at a good price.

This unit arrived and was easy to set up. it works a treat and cools the room to the desired temperature within 20-30 minutes. I wasn’t sure on the unit before purchase but it has been great with the recent weather we have been having and even seems to help with my hay fever too.
The only negatives for me are the noise, it isn’t quiet but I have got used to it and have to say the noise is much better than having a hot house. The other small problem is a shared issue with all units like these and that is the way the vent goes out the window. the supplied window kit is no use if you have windows that open outwards as most do in the UK. Would recommend this all day long though

Trying to sleep in an attic room in UK heatwaves is impossible without this device

Delivery Fast – Unboxing Easy – Slightly heavier than i expected but ok for me

My room has outward opening casement windows and the supplied exhaust kit worked perfectly wedged verticaly into slightly open (outwards) window – not ideal but was secure and functional

Using this method for exhaust my room dropped from 32C to 25C in about 1 hour and maxed out at 21C this was using just the slowest fan speed

Probaly the best thing i have bought this year and with more heatwaves to come i am realy glad i did

A bit on a heavy side, as I need to take it upstairs and use it downstairs as well, so not easy, but I assume most portable air conditioning weighs about the same. Really pleased with the Aircon unit as it cools the room down very quickly. I really like the fact that there is two cooking levels. I also like the fact that it has the features like fan and heating for in winter so that you could still use the device

Used mostly in the office, hall stairs and landing area (so quite a large area) and it cools it down nicely on a day when it is 26 degrees celsuis outside. Also use it in a hot computer room and it works perfectly.

We wanted it for cooling the bedroom at night but it is far too loud to sleep with (for us). That’s the only negative but apart from that its a good unit.

Had to buy a longer exhaust pipe for it. Got a 6 metre one off Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI wanted to replace our old portable air con system as it was a grade C (WHICH IS NO GOOD FOR OUR EARTH) so I looked around for a cheap grade A unit. I spent days researching units and was going to buy a 1200 BTU (British Thermal Units) but found a BTU calculator online and put all my bedroom specs in the calculator and found that even a 900 BTU was double and what I really needed, so knowing that I set out to buy a 900BTU unit which was a lot cheaper. After doing a lot of reading I discovered the KGOGO 900 BTU had brilliant feedback and so I brought it, we have had it a few weeks now and have it on most days and every night so have really tested it out. The fan side of it i would give 8/10 as could be a little more powerful but that’s my opinion may not be everyone’s but as for the air con would i rate that 10/10 absolutely love it, It goes down to 16 degrees but after a while that’s far to cool so have to make it higher overall for my own use I would rate the whole package 9/10 i only took 1 point off due to I had to make a stand to sit it on as when I have the fan on it does not reach the height of our bed and ends up shooting the air into the bed and not across me and my wife and also we have normal opening windows so the window kit was useless to us .
would I buy again and advice friends to buy YES 100% GREAT SYSTEM AND GREAT PRICE
Beware i was coned into writing this as after a week we got a letter in the post saying it was from amazon and if i gave a review i would get a 20 gift card but the email adress you send a copy of your review and which they send your voucher was fake and amazon had nothing to do with the letter but going to keep the review up as its true and a good machine but dont reply to any letters sent in post after from the company it comes from

It is moderately loud, 65 decibels but nothing that can’t be slept through. Easy to install with a bit of gaffa tape and did an amazing job cooling the room down from 22 degree to 17 in about an hour! Very pleased with it. May end up buying another for our room!

The unit came well packaged, and had everything that was required to make the unit work inside the box with the exception of 2 x AAA batteries, so make sure you have some spare ones in your draw.
It cools down the air fairly quickly but give it time to cool the area if it is really hot, ie, the conservatory.
The 2 speed fan is slightly more noisy than I was expecting it to be, but it isn’t worrying or annoying me [yet].
Double check the length of the exhaust pipe that you require as I had not a single millimetre to spare on mine.
Overall I am very pleased with the A/C unit as it is doing what it was bought to do, and that’s to make the conservatory a lot cooler. The dehumidifier seems to work ok but we will have to wait and see when the Autumn gets here.
    Good value for money item.

I bought this unit during the 34C heatwave and it is truly fantastic. There’s a couple things you should know before you buy it though…
    1) Buy some extra ducting so you can put the unit wherever you like in the house.
    2) Do NOT fiddle too much with the louvres as i’ve just spent the best part of 35 minutes trying to get the buggers back onto the little bracket (Totally my fault I know, just don’t want you to make the same mistake)

    Other than that it’s great.

It’s a lot quieter than expected which was a nice surprise and it really does blast freezing cold air on the lowest setting making the room cool within minutes.

    Highly recommended, might buy another.

The uk was set to have a heatwave 17 June 2022 at 32 degrees Celsius (89.6F). Which doesn’t sound a lot but we tend to not get much wind with our temperatures and also we have poor heat alleviating resources at home, like no AC or ceiling fan to cool us off effectively.
This was a big purchase as I don’t have much money rip

To start off, the parcel was a bit heavy but that’s an AC for you, still lighter than my mini fridge in my room. It also has wheels which makes it easier to move around (also comes with two spare wheels which is amazing)
There were instructions provided but honestly it’s super self explanatory with common sense as to where the tubes go and which parts to use where. So installation was super easy. I also installed the window bag thingy myself via a separate purchase as my windows are somewhat weird (the bag through which the ac tube goes outside)

On the heatwave day I set this to the lowest setting on 16 degrees and I felt no warmth from the outside, in fact I was cold after an hour or so and I had to get blankets in my room because of the cold itself, and I love the cold but while stationary on my day off in bed watching shows, I got pretty cold. I found 20 degrees to be a very comfortable temperature, not hot, not cold. Just right.

Noise levels, it’s actually a lot quieter than I thought it’d be. Its noise levels are like a regular school AC system where you can hear the fan and that’s all, no clinking from any pats of buzzing.

The panel on top of the appliance is easy to use and a simple touch activates it.
This is further improved by the remote control. You can even change the fan speed from low to high which is a big plus

Overall it’s a great appliance 100% worth the money.

As the temp soars in summer in the UK, we were searching for an airco that has good functionality, decent customer reviews & fits the purse.

We narrowed in on KGOGO portable air conditioner in Amazon and placed our order. Before even the product could arrive, we received a message from the seller, MIKIGIR, detailing the ease of installation/ commissioning of the airco and the safety features. Reading the manual thoroughly before we install the airco is a GIVEN.

Thanks to the team at MIKIGIR & KGOGO, we are now spending our time at the house in the pleasant comfort of the airco, when the weather report suggested heat wave this weekend across UK. The product is quiet silent, the manouverability is good, the remote control is the icing on the cake, while all it took was 12-15 min for the installation.

    Cheers!!!

I have a dorma bedroom, and as the calendar turns from May to June, the dread begins in the pit of my stomach for the potential 12 weeks of stifling, hideous, horrifically hot and humid nights. I’ve used standard fans before and, as we all know, they simple push hot air round your room.

I promised myself this year I would invest in an ACU as 12 weeks of horror every year is just too much and, having done some research, knew I wanted a 9000BTU, window vented, non-water-collecting, portable, remote control, A rated and not too loud unit. I imagined I would likely find a unicorn first!

Then I came across this unit. 4.8 stars on Amazon – the site where the most fussiest of users write the most scathing reviews – I knew it must be pretty good.

It ticks all of my must haves and 238 delivered in my opinion is epic value. The only thing that may be a negative is that the unit is cumbersome to get up a flight of stairs – weighs about 22kg. I was ok moving it, but my Mum wouldn’t have been able to.

On the hottest day of 2022 so far, I have had the unit on for 20 minutes and I could put a sweatshirt on if I wanted – it is an absolute dream! My dog is also elated!

Definitely HIGHLY recommend. Best money I’ve spent in a while.

This is an excellent machine. It’s fairly compact, has wheels for easy manoeuvrability and the power chord is fairly long.
It cools my 15ft x 12ft room almost instantly and I’m impressed with how quiet it is compared to my old unit. I find the low fan is perfectly strong enough to be highly effective which keeps it even quieter – hardly louder than a large fan!
There’s no need to keep remembering to empty a water container in cooling mode as the moisture is disposed of through the exhaust hose.
The remote took a bit of getting used to. You need to point it directly at the front of the machine which can take a few seconds to react.
The best thing about buying from this supplier is their excellent customer service. They answer any question you may have within a few hours and are unbelievably helpful.
Overall, very good value for money as it has a high 9000btu making many units with this spec a lot more expensive. Plus free delivery to the room of your choice through Amazon delivery – what’s not to like?!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis machines seems to work quite well. While it’s nice and compact, it is quite loud, and while I’d manage to sleep OK with this thing on, I don’t think my partner would. I’m sure she’s likely to mention it as she’s a light sleeper. I also struggled to have a phone call with this on in the background. But I’d rather be cool and not talk to someone on the phone than melt in the heat!

I have pretty standard windows (not Sash windows) so the included window kit doesn’t really work for left/right hinged windows – it’s more geared for those with bottom or top opening ones. But I have the hose hanging out and it’s definitely bringing down the room temp.

This isn’t anywhere near as quiet as the wall mounted ones, but it’s miles better than those that you put blocks of ice into and it just blows air over.

Overall I’m happy with this, but just bear in mind you probably wouldn’t sleep in the same room as it.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersFirst, AC unit rocks. Easy to unpack, easy to assemble (the little there is to assemble) and it’s super cold! Yeah – everything you want from an AC unit. But wait… there’s more. Here’s why to get THIS unit and not one of the countless other ones… because it is a full evaporative AC unit! When you check the other AC units, you will find that somewhere in the small print it will tell you to empty the water reservoir every so often. This can be anywhere from daily to every other day. That means constant maintenance and adding one more thing to remember to your list of things to remember while adulting. THIS unit doesn’t have that. It gets rid of all the water the way all units should… through the exhaust vent! You already need to have an exhaust to get rid of the hot air… why wouldn’t you use that same vent to vent the liquid in form of vapour?! Anyway… this is an essentially NO fuss unit. You turn it on, it makes ice cold air and it keeps the troubles of constant maintenance away from you. THIS… is the AC unit to get.

The office space is around 25 sq m and the unit provides ample capacity to keep the ambient temperature down to below 20 deg c which is more than enough for me. The unit is very easy to set up and control but to be honest I just have it on 20 deg cooling all the time and it works for me. I’m always dubious buying brands that I’m not aware of yet I needed a portable air conditioning unit for my loft bedroom that gets extremely hot in summer especially as I sleep in the day as I do night shifts.
This item is about 50% smaller than the last one I had from a well known diy store.
It’s just as powerful and cold as any other air con unit but with its size it’s so much better when not in use.
Comes with the window attachment as well. This would be perfect for sash windows but I’ve cut it down to size and it fits my skylights well enough.
The hose is the basic type you get with all air conditioning units 150mm and is about 2 meters long. The remote is bails but functional.
This is a great buy if your after a nice little compact unit (compared to others) and it cools my room down fast.
Also it looks modern and stylish and is probably the Best Buy I’ve made all year.
I was also really impressed with the packaging (sounds strange) it was very secure in the box but had none of them horrible polystyrene trays they were all cardboard but seemed better quality that what I’m used to.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is our second unit, but we have two work from home offices now and it was a fight last year to share our old one!

It’s becoming more critical to have these now as the world heats up and we’re still working from home. Same as the other one, pop the hose out the window somehow and plug it in.
Instructions are easy to read, but it was easy to put together anyway. My other one is a lot bulkier than this one, and this one is really easy to pull around on its wheels.

Having a remote is really handy as my window isn’t close to my desk.

The temperature range is great but I have it set on 21 for perfect room temperature. In the peak of summer though I’ll be using it at nighttimes to get the room much colder (I like to sleep cold)

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI was a little apprehensive purchasing this item online, but what a find! This sleek and stylish portable air conditioning unit is a perfect addition to any home. Our old unit was louder, bulkier and a pain to manoeuvre. This one is on wheels, making it easier to move around, quieter for sure and also much slimmer.
Great packaging, sturdy box which clearly labelled for the upright position. Plenty of packing inside for protection.
Easy vent opener at the front, can change direction for air flow. Easy to navigate controls on top and a handy remote to change temperature, speed, on/off etc.
The hose connects to the back of the unit with ease and then slides in to the window (adjustable depending on size of window and position, hose can be bottom middle or top). We find it easy to just pull the window closed, however you could block off surrounds more if required – we don’t feel that is necessary.
We have noted there is an 8 second delay after turning off the unit – presuming this is cool down time of the fan or something.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersGot this a couple of weeks ago but didn’t get chance to open it until now. First impressions are really good – very well packed (none of the hated polystyrene) and the unit is a bit a smaller than I expected (which is a good thing)

Weather here is nowhere near hot enough for a full blown test but I’ve been meaning to buy a portable air con for the past couple of years and the prices always shoot up when it gets hot – so I got it early this time!

Used in the conservatory where it does get very stuffy even at this time of year and it really works. Didn’t set up the vent properly – just shoved the hose out of the window for now but that seemed to be fine as it’s a small window.

Took quite a while to start to get cool when I first turned it on – but I think this is a first time use issue – the next time it was chilling pretty much straight away. Control goes down to 16c which is way cooler than I would want it – probably set it to 19 in the summer and that should be fine. All in all, a really neat unit that can be operated without reading the manual!!

It’s quite heavy (just over 20kg) but is is on really good casters and very easy to move about.

  94. Anonymous says:

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersIt was very easy to remove from the box because some genius has made it so that once the straps are removed, the whole box slides up revealing the air conditioners at in its protective polystyrene base.

The actual air conditioner is fairly heavy at a little over 22kg.
It has handle holes on the sides to lift it out of its packaging and for moving upstairs etc.
It does also have wheels, so great for moving about on shorter carpet or wood flooring.

The unit comes with the window vent which is a must have if you actually want to cool the room properly.

If you have beautiful sash windows like mine, it’s as if it’s made perfectly to fit!
Other window types could use it also and you could cut it down to size or add it to some wood to fit it into a patio door for example.

It all goes together really easily and although the instructions are included, it’s pretty obvious how it goes together.

I would say though, that the vent adapter on the rear needs to go on from the right and with the notch cut out to the left (like the photo I’ve included)
After that you just need to pull out 3-4 loops of the exhaust pipe and twist it on like you were doing up a massive bolt.
Then do the same with the window attachment.

The sliding window thingy has a bolt with a flat part that needs to go into the groove of the plastic sliding part. (The sentence is confusing I know, but the photo should clear it up)
Then pop the washer and nut on the other side and do up the wing nut once you’ve decided how far apart you need it.

The remote is handy and needs two AAA batteries that aren’t included.

Its a nice looking unit that is fairly quiet for the output (has two fan settings) and also has removable air filters on the rear for dog hair, fluff etc.

Pretty pleased with it overall and I’m glad I bought it now before all the prices go up in summer!

Great air conditioner for the money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRegretted last year waiting till the hot weather to order order an air con, so this year got one ordered while they are still cheap.

Was surprised at how much this actually weighed and the quality of the user panel on top. For the price I was actually expecting it to be cheap and plasticky.

It’s not hot weather yet so haven’t had chance to test properly, but set up with the hose attached externally and the room temperature drastically dropped within minutes.

We have a summer house/cabin in the garden which we use as an office, and cant wait to have this rigged up this year! The house attachment is intended for a window but we have cut a circular hole in the wooden wall of the cabin and it fits/works perfec

    Slim and surprisingly effective

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI built myself a garden office. Now it’s stating to warm up the office is getting to over 30c. So I needed an AC unit. I found this portable unit that seemed to fit the bill.
I was delighted with the size of this unit compared to other 9000btu units.
Top panel is nicely presented and easy to read and use. With the remote you can set a timer. This is very handy.
On first run this reduced my office temperature from over 30 to low 20’s in quite a short space of time. Once the unit reaches the set temp the compressor turns off so you are only left with the sound of the fans. On the lower speed this is not very loud.
The continuous drain hose connects at the mid section of the back, this is great as my previous ones have always been at the bottom. Making it hard to drain.
You also receive all the required vent hoses and a handy window adaptor.
2 spare casters in the box which is a nice touch.
Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase

Superb portable AC unit. Smaller than expected

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI bought this for our holiday home. All the guests were complaining the rooms got too hot and the fans I bought were not good enough. At home I have an air conditioning unit that I paid twice this price for and I can honestly say this machine runs circles around it. This Is quieter, colder, smaller and comes with a remote. The vent for sliding windows, I managed to fit into a regular window which was a bonus.
No chance of our guests complaining about the rooms being too hot now. Also has a dehumidifying feature which I probably will never use but it’s good to have.

Highly recommend getting one of these before the summer comes and the prices go up. Really sleek looking and good for the money

    Absolutely Brilliant - Love i

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersEvery year I’ve considered getting an air conditioner as it gets hot in the UK – And every year I’ve missed the boat and they’ve got crazy expensive. Not this year! I bought this in advance to make sure I beat the rush, and it’s a really nice piece of kit.

It is heavy, but actually this is a good thing as if it was light, it wouldn’t be a full compressor based air conditioner. The cheaper models just aren’t worth it in my experience. The casters make it pretty easy to roll around, the only difficulty is moving it up and down stairs. As long as you’re relatively fit though it’s not too bad!

The set up is super easy, I had it up and running in less than 20 minutes, and the instructions are impressively clear and concise. I’m sure we’ve all had the experience of the very poorly translated instruction booklet – Not so here, everything was professional and it was clearly manufactured carefully with quality in mind.

The window fitting kit is easy to use and would work for almost any sliding window, it would also work for an opening window with the judicious application of some cardboard wedges. The remote control is simple and effective, it’s nice to be able to turn it on and off from bed or from my chair without getting up.

All in all, five stars, I live in hope that we get the summer to use it.

Great quality, low power usage, a convenient portable air conditioner!

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI have an open plan living/dining/kitchen area that gets a lot of light on sunny days. Especially during Summer months it can get very hot and so I decided to buy this portable AC unit.

The cooling power of this unit is substantial and it produces cold air almost immediately. It can also be used in fan only mode to circulate air with two fan speeds available, though the lower setting is sufficient for my needs.

I have tried the dehumidifier function using the included drain hose and it quickly begins to reduce humidity levels, as long as you have somewhere suitable to drain into.

The interface is simple and easy to use with an included remote for convenience.

In terms of styling, it is one of the better looking units I’ve seen, with a simple design and rounded corners. Though the unit is quite heavy, the castors make it very easy to move around.

The exhaust duct feels robust and should last, though the included window kit only works with sliding windows, not compatible with my hinged opening windows. There are window kits available cheaply to sort this, however.

Overall a good purchase and I’m looking forward to putting it through its paces this Summer.

Powerful cooling for those hot Summer days

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersI live in a loft room, which gets very hot in the summer, and ever since having to work from home since Covid came about I’ve had to put up working in these sweaty conditions, so as summer approaches this year I decided I needed an air conditioner to stop me from overheating.

I’ve used this type of AC before at my old office, so knew what to expect, only this one had a nice surprise which was no water tank! Usually ACs have a tank to accumulate water and needs emptying every few hours, but this one evaporates the condensation out with the hot air, which just seems like common sense!

As far as freestanding units go, this one is smaller than most, and it’s not too loud when it’s running either. Once the compressor kicks in the air it sends out the front is freezing, does what it says on the tin.

Blows cold air out the front and hot air out the back!
