Got this ProBreeze dehumidifier, and it’s a game-changer! Keeps my place feeling fresh and dry without any hassle. Super compact and easy to move around. Love that it’s quiet—doesn’t disturb my chill vibes. The auto shut-off is a lifesaver, and the big water tank means fewer trips. Plus, it’s easy on the energy bill. Seriously, if you’re dealing with humidity, this thing is the real deal. Totally recommend it for a comfy home vibe!
This has been a game changer for us. We have no tumble dryer so we use this in the dinning room where I dry the clothes. Works so well would definitely recommend.
Bought this as our rented Bungalow suffered from really bad Condensation in the Bedroom. Having tried lots of remedies we bought this Dehumidifier. And after 3days of using it. Hurrah. No more Condensation. We know it will possibly come back but we know now how to fix i
It is a compact dehumidifier and works very well. However, it is not quiet as claimed. It might be if your hearing isn’t great or you have no problem with white noise. It isn’t super noisy but it definitely isn’t quiet either. I would compare the noise to a high quality bathroom extractor fan.
The amount of water that this product takes from the air is impressive. We have other chemical and electric devices, but this one is the best. It is too noisy to have in a bedroom overnight, but we switch on in the daytime and leave others working 24/7 in other rooms during the winter.
This is a great little dehumidifier for a student room or other small area. Even with the humidity in the room at a quite reasonable 50% it was taking around a third of a container of water each day out of the air. It was fairly quiet, less noisy than a computer fan, and acceptable to leave on at night in a bedroom as it made a fairly constant white noise. It is a shame about the reliability, as the first one went wrong after 3 weeks and we needed a replacement which was provided under guarantee in around a week, so it only gets 4* not 5.
This is okay for small flats. I bought it to use in a bedroom where there is condensation on the window. I had it on for 8 hours and it filled about 100ml of water.
I did feel the room was better after it. It’s a cold room but it felt more comfortable. I also purchased it to use to help with drying clothes when I cannot get them outside which it does help. It’s not the fastest at drawing moisture but is suitable for my needs. Few minor negatives – there is no cord storage, short cable and the insert for carrying is basically useless but for the price and if you are new to dehumidifiers it’s a good basic unit.
Overall happy with this little dehumidifier, it’s compact so can easily be moved around, works well. Only thing to note is that it is not Whisper Quiet, while not load to have on in the background it is too loud (for me) to have on in the bedroom at night.
I bought one of these to help dry clothes and try and reduce our heating bill. It certainly works as the reservoir fills up. In fact I bought a second one . I use it in a small bedroom but I am sure it would also be effective in a larger space. I had a issue with one of therm after a few months but the seller could not be more helpful and replaced it very quickly. recommended
I’ve had this device for 4 months. From what I’ve seen it works well. For large rooms it might be underpowered. It does only promise to remove up to a pint per day.
As for preventing condensation – this did help a little bit I think. Although I’ve come to understand that leaving a curtain (or possibly blind) not fully closed might be the best option here. When curtains or blinds are firmly closed, a layer of air is effectively trapped behind and will increasingly get colder and colder (relatively to the avg room temp) and therefore
Fan noise is moderate. I have slight tinnitus, and typically always have a fan on in my room to drown it out with a bit of white noise. Now I use this, whilst getting some benefit of tempering humidify.
The device is smart enough looking. And so far ive had no leaks with emptying the tank. It does auto shutoff correctly. I think sometimes it can take a few mins to come on after emptying the tank if it detects moisture (so give the tank a wipe).
With my meter plug, the 40w figure is accurate. At the price guarantee as of March – you can expect to pay 11 pence for 8 hours. Or for 24 hour usage it will come in a hair under 1kw.
From what I’ve seen. the 10/12 litre per day models are more efficient. They use about 6x the power but can extract 10-12x the amount of water, making them potentially 2x as efficient.
Ots good if room temperature is about 15 or more..above 20 is ideal.
Energy consumption is other things to consider.
40 or 60w
Had my doubts but did my research well. So many cheaper versions that don’t do the job. There are also more expensive ones too but this was on the top 10 list of which magazine as one of the best so I bought it and it’s great. We have bought a very old cottage that needs some work and the walls were wet and condensation on all the windows as we were heating the place up after 8 months of it being empty. This has certainly solved that problem. Every morning a couple of inches is in there to empty. It’s a little bit of a noise but nothing major. You couldn’t have it in the room and sleep with it on but we put it in downstairs and go to bed and don’t hear it. Brilliant.
Not quite as powerful as I would like. It takes quite a while to extract moisture from a room. I have used more powerful models but they are more expensive. These are really only suitable for small spaces. So if you accept that, they are good value for money
It is compact for small spaces, I use it in the garage where I hang laundry to dry. Does not seem to extract much but is helpful, I didn’t want to spend a lot so ok for the price
The thing isn’t silent but we leave it on overnight in the main room, so it doesn’t matter. It does get a lot of moisture from the room and so does what it was bought for.
Bought for a small apartment that was in an old building with very little ventilation. Clothes etc were beginning to smell mouldy. A great size to move to different areas until I found the area I needed it the most. It worked out of the box, almost straight away as after half an hour I could see the water collection box had some in. This is a small unit but works like a much larger one. Not absolutely quiet especially in the bedroom at night but during the day I hardly notice it. I would recommend getting a room thermometer that records moisture content in the air. Using these two items my problem was managed in a couple of days.
I can’t speak for energy efficiency because I haven’t checked, I can’t really speak for loudness either as it hasn’t bothered me when sleeping but I could see some people having issues with the sound when sleeping but otherwise I’d say it’s quiet. It’s not huge but it’s also not small exactly, nor is it heavy, very easy to move around from room to room. The water storage is a slight pain because when emptying it will leak slightly out of the corner where you empty it from, it’s nothing unmanageable, just wipe it slightly but it’s something to note. What I can say is our house has always had problems with mould, it’s destroyed pieces of furniture but since using this between 2 rooms there hasn’t been any mould at all which I had kinda given up hope for so I’d definitely recommend it.
Wanted to reduce reliance on tumble dryer, so now hang certain clothes on Airing Horse. This machine does take moisture out of the air and thus should stop dampness/mildew happening. It is a bit noisey, so just turn the tv up a notch.
I have two of these now and definitely made a difference to the damp in my rooms. No noticeable difference to electric readings. I don’t run them overnight as that’s just me but have on when I get up. I couldn’t sleep with them. Not noisy but definitely not whisper quiet. Don’t get the amount of water they say in a day but that’s okay.
Very happy tho hence I have two!
We have a 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.4 bedroom which is susceptible to condensation during cold weather.
This dehumidifier drastically reduces the problem if left working all day in the room with of course the windows and door closed. We find it a little noisy so do not leave it operating during the night.
If you need a quiet unit this isn’t the one.
Sounds like a fan on full blast.
I sleep well with white noise so it doesn’t bother me.
Collects the moisture so no condensation on the window or walls. My cottage is over 100 years old and this is the first year I got black mould behind the wardrobe. Bleached it then used the dehumidifier every night and no more condensation and no more mould
Noisy but effective
Quite pleased with this Dehumidifier. Small sized & easy to handle. Basic on-off operation. When left running it does it’s job & sure enough the tank slowly starts to fill. Tank is easy to access & to empty. The only down side is the noise. It is certainly not quiet & you would not want it operating if trying to sleep in the same room. I leave it running during the day in a bedroom. The room definitely feels less damp since I’ve been using this. Some days it has collected about a pint of water out of the air, so is certainly working well. If you have a large room or serious damp problems then I’d suggest a larger, more industrial sized model, but for it’s price this is good value.
do your research before buying ANY dehumidifier.
don’t expect mary poppins click of the fingers and all the condensation will go away, it will take time.
Having issues with heavy condensation in loft, placed the dehumidifier in there, not bad for the noise, left it for 12 hours and got it what i thought was a fair amount for the size of the loft.
Another day placed it in loft, reduction of condensation in the loft,
(When dehumidifier is not on i do have disposable ones dotted around)
It does the job. Light, functional says what it says.
Very good at the job it is supposed to do but the fan is quite noisy. It is not a problem for me as I am used to sleeping with the white noise device or a fan turned on but for many who prefer to sleep in quiet rooms, it is not something you could leave on at night.
Bought this in hope it would help with damp around the house and to dry clothes quicker but think its too small to make a real difference in either situation, for smaller confined spaces like a wardrobe or small caravan i think it would be more help but for a house id say go for a bigger one
I can’t fault this dehumidifier for doing exactly what it’s designed to do, in an average sized room.
I can fault it’s design though.
It has a micro switch (on the machine) and a float switch (on the collection tray)if the water level rises in the collection tray then the float will rise, hit the micro switch and the machine will stoppreventing any further spillage.
Unfortunately, what the designers seemed to have overlooked is that the machine cannot detect if the collection tray is correctly located or even present.
Remove the collection tray and take it to another Country, the machine won’t know and will just keep on running.
Not a problem you may thinkclearly you don’t have small visitors, Sons, Daughters, Nieces, Nephews, friends, babysittersor inquisitive grandparents
It’s an easy fix for the manufacturerput a proximity switch on the machine and a piece of metal on the collection trayyou’re welcome
This does the job in small spaces. However, it is definitely not silent, but quiet. However the hum soon becomes background noise and sleeping is not problematical, even if in the bedroom. However, we have found that perhaps a better solution, or may be complimentary, which requires a little more work, but not much, is the Karcher window cleaner. That will suck up any water/condensation on windows left in the morning. The whole house can be done reasonably quickly and at minimal energy cost. Once sucked off the windows and tipped away the water is not allowed to vaporise back into the air, so for that reason it will be more effective than running a dehumidifier for many hours for essentially the same outcome. The Karcher is especially good to take condensation off the windows and walls in the bathroom after a shower. The main difference is you have got to do something more energetic than just simply throwing a switch, which is the most you need to do in the humidifier, except of course, both require emptying the water container.
Update. The Karcher is great when it’s very cold and the window pane condenses the room water vapour onto them. When it’s not so cold the Karcher is ineffective and it is where the dehumidifier comes into its own. It has been running in a small back bedroom for a couple of months, sucking about a inch into the water holder each day. As I don’t have anything to compare it too, it appears to be doing a good job.
Can’t really fault it. Bought it for a kitchen and does the job. Use it down stairs and have a smaller one upstairs. Once it gets going water collection rapid. Good in summer too as removes hot air in bedrooms making it easier to sleep.
Not adequate for Bathroom or Laundry!!
Not adequate for bigger Rooms.
Its ok for the Bedroom.
It really depends for what you want to use it. It is small, 1,5 Liter only, it is good and you will see it does absorb a lot of water BUT it is not powerful enough to absorb a huge amount. 1,5 l per day !
Keep that in mind.
As I read a lot of bad reviews. It’s better to read before what an dehumidifier you will need.
I tried the Pro Breeze first in a bedroom with the wardrobes doors open and after 4 hours the container had about 1/4″ of water in so knew it worked .The next day I put it up the loft to try and get rid of the damp up there .I had to remove the plug to get it through some conduct to the loft . After a day my wife went to empty it .There was nothing in the container. Now we left there off till next day .I went up the loft to disconnect it but there was at least 1/2″ of water in it .Only thing we can thinks is it had frozen up then thawed out .We are making use of it in other room .But no good for a cold loft .
I’ve had this for a few weeks now and for a little machine costing next to nothing to run, it does collect a bit of water. I bought it because we noticed some mold in a couple of areas in the house – like lots of people we’ve been drying washing on a clothes horse inside to save money on tumbling. BUT by far the best purchase I’ve made is a small humidity meter (for a fiver). It was eye-opening to see the humidity levels in my house fluctuating based on activities like drying clothes and cooking. I’ve read more into it and I know now that we were doing all of the things you shouldn’t do if you don’t want mold. In hindsight, I should have done the research first, bought the humidity meter, and I don’t think I would have bothered with the dehumidifier at that point. It’s evident from that meter that the best thing to do is simply to open windows. Easier said than done perhaps with bills as they are, but surprisingly the amount of fresh air needed to manage the humidity levels doesn’t seem to affect the house temperature too much. So, I’m hoping this post might save somebody some money.
Works well collects moisture but a little noisy for my liking as I can hear it in the room next door or even down stairs. Was going to get a bigger one but the noise is not something I can live with so only run this one in the day and especially when washing is up to dry.
Have the 14L eco air, but bit heavy for me to move each time we cook. As extractor fan isn’t great, ordered this. Thought cheaper alternative to electrician/new extractor fan. And has added benefit of being able to move around easily. Put it on as soon as start preparing food, leave to run whilst eating, and cleaning up, and it does the job. At first I wonderedbut put on as soon as you are going to need it, give it TIME to work, and it does. Now glad I purchased this.
It is small and regrettably slow – It takes a long time to dry a few clothes and help dry out the small kitchen, but I got used to a larger one with a large cost.
There is one bad flaw, the on/ off is at the back, I picked it up to turn it off and the water container slid out and hit my big toe, best to use the mains socket.
Works really well clearing condensation and dampness in the room
It’s working and has been since purchased, just sat there collecting water, its good at what it does, its quite enough but not silent, it can’t be silent it has a fan in it. Definitely worth it for small rooms easy to empty
I bought the dehumidifier for the niece who lives in Cardiff. During the winter the atmosphere, particularly in her house is cold and damp, giving her sniffles, cough, sore throat and waking up with a throaty voice. I bought her the Pro Breeze 1500 and in a matter of days her room felt warm and dry, the symptoms had all disappeared and she felt so much better. Typically she was emptying the dehumidifier twice a day so 2 – 3 litres of water were initially being removed from the atmosphere. This product is really doing its job and using very little electricity and drastically cutting the heating bills.
Great item, the humidity has lowered in my room quite a bit, to the point it is now between 40-50%. I open my window to introduce new air too in which helps.
Though, the only caveat is you cannot remove the filter to clean it. So essentially, whatever the humidifier collects stays stuck in it.
Very quiet, economical to run, made a difference to the smell.
Have it in a small conservatory. It’s amazing how much water collects in it.
This small dehumidifier really does help remove excess water. Very pleased with the purchase.
Lovely and compact and very efficient. Ours is used constantly in a basement to keep damp at bay and it does a fantastic job. Pretty quite and very easy to use and auto stop works perfectly.
Use in laundry room to help stop condensation. Sits on the work surface and is quiet. Easy to use
I’m using this in the utility room and works very well
A little bit noisy but it’s only on for a few hours a day
