This dehumidifier is fantastic! Much better than other models we trialled, it has a quieter and a slightly noisier turbo setting. It is great has done wonders for our humid house and is also really good for drying washing and takes up less space than a tumble dryer!
Definitely worth buying best on the market for its price. Just be aware it isn’t light, for carrying up and down stairs but does have wheels!

Had the unit for a month. Bought it for helping dry the clothes indoors while helping prevent black mould. I was pondering a smaller unit but this is larger and so works quicker at reducing the humidity levels. It’s smart so my wife and I can turn it on for say 30 mins from the bedroom. Can’t so how long it lasts but so far so good! If I have troubles I’ll update.

Had problems with damp from leaky roof and mildew and started off with small silica bead bags, then smaller humidifiers and eventually realised that despite the initial outlay this would be most economical. I love emptying it and seeing how much water it has drawn out of the air! The whole place feels so much nicer now. I’m not sure about energy efficiency but for me it had to be purchased to save my possessions and make my house feel less damp and cold and depressing and it has genuinely done that. I ended up buying two – one for upstairs and one for downstairs as they are pretty heavy! Noise wise although quite loud it’s a frequency you can almost chill to! Like the sound of the bedroom fan on holidays abroad. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this item after doing research in Which? We needed a dehumidifier to cure a damp problem in a mobile home. We chose a ‘refrigerant’ type over ‘desiccant’ because it will be used in a warm environment and is more energy efficient. This item is a Which? best buy.
The unit performed really well, within a couple of hours of operation the humidity level was radically reduced and with regular use over the next few days the humidity that had permeated into the fabric of the mobile home, furnature and even clothes was completely removed. We now use it for a couple of hours a day and have absolutely no damp problem any more.
I have given it 4 stars for energy efficiency but only because there is a noticeable increase in our bills with regular use – but I expect this is true with all dehumidifiers.
For noise level I have given 4 stars, the noise is not excessive but it just has 2 settings, it’s either on its normal setting or boost.
The app that accompanies the unit works ok although I’ve not been able to get all the features to work as they should but as a dehumidifier it has all the controls you’d expect and a few more, it does it’s job really well and I recommend it.
EDIT – December 2022. I have now been using the app on my iPad and it works extremely well. I have schedules set that automatically turn the unit on and off controlling the fan speed and the humidity level. As long as both the unit and my iPad are on Wi-Fi I have full control over the unit. I have been able to use this when we have been away from home keeping the humidity at the level required.
Overall I remain extremely happy with the unit and can’t recommend it enough.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThere are a lot of poor review from people who don’t know what a humidifier is and how it works. Its a humidifier and it makes noise, this is because its a very powerful home humidifier that takes a lot of water out of the air. Dehumidifier are similar to Air Cons and they also make noise. On low fan the noise isn’t to bad, generally run on high fan when most people are out of the house. This machine really sucks water out of the air, when I first got it the house humidity was over 80% and it pulled 3 liters of water out of the air in 3hrs. Have found when the outside humidity is really high it struggles to get the humidity much below 55% but am not surprised with this. Having the smart features is really useful as you can monitor when not at home and easily set schedules. Since using it for about 3-4 hours a day cloths dry a lot quicker in the house (2 hours in the morning and a couple of hour stints in the afternoon). Yes its uses quite a bit of power but it does also help heat the house which has to be considered when looking at running costs. I put this humidifier on the landing of the house which seems to work best lowering the house humidity, but you do have to consider effectiveness around the house does depend on airflow around the house. If you have got a damp issue then this machine will certainly help.

Works perfectly. I had a damp problem in a basement room – cause mainly through lack of ventilation. The dehumidifier shifted loads of water quickly, and I was impressed by the amount it removed in hours. There is a display which shows the RH level and it is possible to see how it drops as the unit operates. Well Impressed!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI looked at a few dehumidifiers before plumping for the pro breeze. I did not really know if this was going to live up to expectations as I was worried about energy costs and the impact it may or more probably wouldn’t have. I am so surprised at the overall impact of using the dehumidifier. It has made an uncomfortable set of environments so much more manageable. In addition I put a meter on the device and calculated the cost at around 11p per hour with a tariff rate of 33p. Hence you could run the machine for 10 hours solid and pay just over a pound. When the heating goes on this will, I have no doubt, a large impact on heating bills. I am so pleased I will buy another one for a different part of the house.

The bad reviews are just from the complainers in our society. You always get a few of them everywhere 🙂 I’ve had this machine for a while now. It is a beast. A literal beast. A beast machine. I don’t know how to put it in words as it’s too difficult to describe with words. But beast should do. Okay from the beginning I have two cool mist humidifiers on. And like to keep the humidity in my room high. But at the same time ocd on not too high. Also on making sure that the water extracted from the humidifier is extracted out at some point so fresh humidifier water can come in. New in and old out. Don’t ask why I do this but I’m weird like that. So I bought this dehumidifier to take the excess out. Set it at 60 percent. Anything beyond this must go. That room never did go past 60. Not with this machine on. Even though my humidifiers are pushing at full blast. Trying to aim 100. It won’t go past 60. I have other hydrometers in the room placed every where too make sure. Very top quality machine. Now a lot of complaints about noise level. Maybe in this there maybe a problem. But sometimes you have to believe it’s us becoming too sensitive. Anyhow I still sleep well with it on. The noise actually helps. Like I said in weird like tha

Easy to set up on the App – you can use it manually as well as monitoring the humidity on your phone.

Works brilliantly, brought when on offer so value for money is fantastic, fan always runs even if the unit isn’t currently extracting any moisture as it measures as it runs. I don’t find the noise too bad but if you like to sleep in silence it would be no good at night. It’s a fairly heavy unit but can clear big rooms, will do my whole upstairs or downstairs without moving it. The app works pretty well too.

Nice clean, non-industrial looking unit. Can be contolled by app on phone, which I initially thought was a bit gimmicky, but has been very useful. You can set schedules, or turn it on and off from anywhere. The power consumption looks quite high, but I find I don’t have to run it for very long to have a significant effect. The only downside is it is pretty loud. I tend to schedule it so I’m not around when it’s running.

The perfect device does its job well. It does not have to be on all the time. Helped a lot with the removal of mold. I had to wash the wall with a preparation. It’s OK now.

Absolutely brilliant machine, I wish I’d bought it years ago. I feel like I’m living in a different house.
Removes so much moisture and is easy to move and empty. A bit noisy as close to where I sleep but doesn’t bother me at all. Eliminates condensation throughout whole apartment.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe discovered we have damp problems in some of the north facing parts of our home. Where furniture was close to walls, we found some mould had started. After a bit of research, one way of dealing with this situation is to lower the humidity in your home. I checked humidity around our house and in found in some locations it was very high.

I wanted an all-home unit so I didn’t need to move it about or have to buy 2, but didn’t want to pay more than about 200, and began checking reviews. It wasn’t an easy search as it seems every single make and model had customers reporting problems and recommending something else. I found by following these recommendations you just end up in a circle of never finding anything suitable and eventually getting referred back to where you started.

Reviews seemed to be better on the 300+ models and really high-end industrial ones, but even those have their fair share of people reporting issues. I don’t have the space for the really large units and I didn’t have time to mess about. I resigned myself to the fact that whatever I would buy it may have issues and just went with what best fitted me.

I got a good impression of the Pro Breeze company, from YT videos and some of the customer reports of dealing with them. I also liked that some reviews spoke about them as a British based company, although I later found a small Made in China sticker on the back of my unit. British owned I guess, but I’m not even sure about that.

I very nearly went with the Pro Breeze 20L model. I switched to getting this 30L model at the last second for a few reasons. One was that the price was almost the same. Another was a US YT video which recommended you only buy units rated above 25L. The final reason was I found out the 30L model was a much newer model of theirs compared to the 20L.

I had previously read about leakage problems with the 20L and so (cross fingers) I gambled Pro Breeze would have learnt from this and sorted the leak issues on the newer model.

I’m not using any of the app stuff, so I can’t comment on that. The unit works great as it is and I can control everything I want from the panel built-it. On its first day of use it gathered about 1L and I then shifted it around the house until I realised that placement made a big difference. The most I’ve got out of it was 3L in a day, but I’m only running it about 8-12Hrs a day, not constantly and not every day. I always just set it to auto, so it just keeps going until it thinks it is 50% and then stops.

I purchased two humidity monitors at the same time and setup one at the top and bottom of our stairs. I check these daily and they are often quite different, with either the upstairs of down being the more humid. Sometimes by up to 20% difference.

I’ve used this dehumidifier about a month now and I’ve kind of fallen into a routine of running it a couple days and then waiting until a monitor shows humidity on the high side, then moving the unit either up or down the stairs and running it for a couple of days. Humidity then tends to be fine for a while and couple of days later I may need to use it again. By doing things in this way I’ve managed to keep levels below low 60s around the house.

    What I like about it:
+ I like how powerful it is and it gets lots of water out of the air.
+ I like how the dehumidified air exits on one side, so you can for example set up on the landing and fire the dried air into a bedroom.
+ I like the simple controls (this was a big part of buying it after seeing the demo on YT)
+ It hasn’t leaked for me and the extraction of the drip tray is easy to do.

What I didn’t like about it:
    – Wow is this thing heavy! If you are not a big bloke you may struggle to carry this up/down stairs.
    – It makes a lot of noise when in use. It is a combination of air con and an industrial fridge noise at the same time (well that is kind of what it is after all). You do get used to the sound after a while, but I wouldn’t run this near you when you are trying to sleep.
    – I knew this before buying, but the fan runs all the time it is on, even when it is ‘off’ because the room has reached its target humidity.

On that fan issue, be careful of people warning you off units where the fan keeps running. There are different technologies in play between units and having the fan run all the time is not always an indication the manufacturer doesn’t know what they are doing and left it running by accident. I think it is something to do with preventing ice build up. Which may be the cause of leaks on models where the fan stops?

I’m going to give this 4-stars. It does everything I expected it to do and I haven’t had any issue with it (yet). However, it is a lot noisier than I was expecting. I can put up with the noise for the results it achieves, but be aware of that trade off.

Moved into a house that had been empty for over a year. When we turned the heating on over the winter all hell broke loose, bought this dehumidifier and what a god send, put it in a room set it to automatic and away it goes. Glad i bought it after a month i think we are ok now, everything has settled down and the humidity has settled at a normal level. bought some little humidity metres too that let me know exactly how each room was doing. if it was high I moved in this device and bam back to normal parameters

This dehumidifier really packs the punch and gets the job done. I had a smaller one from the same company and used it for about 2 years. However, when seeing how well this one sucked up the water and reduced the humidity (very noticeable when just walking into a large room) I decided to buy another one for another room in our lower ground floor flat. The rooms stay warmer too in the winter which is an extra plus. It’s a bit noisy – but I’ll take it for the performance. Usually run it during the day and empty it in the evening. Loved the wifi feature as well.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersUsing this with the outlet valve connected to a bucket is essential as this little machine really does put the work in. Easily pulling more than 12L of moisture out of a damp cellar – reducing the RH from the high 70’s to the low 50’s in under an hour.

It does make a fair bit of noise, even when just the fan is on. But it does work a treat – I was very surprised at the performance for the price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am impressed by the power of this machine. It is also very easy to manoeuvre. I have only used the basic functions to date. I haven’t studied the running costs so the 4 stars are a cautious rating. It has many more functions than I have used. I have not, as yet, explored its potential to manage humidity to a set level. Nor have I used its smart phone functionality. I am happy with the noise level – it does not seem too loud. It does solve the condensation problems we were having.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersOrdered this unit a couple of days ago after lots of reading online about dehumidifiers.
We live as a family of four in a reasonable sized three bedroom semi detached. We have a large conservatory at the back of the house that suffers terribly from mold & damp, with the windows streaming every morning. We also suffer from damp spots in two of our South facing bedrooms in the top corners.
I initially found ProBreeze through Amazon, looked on their website and found this latest unit with app control. Looking at positive reviews on their other larger units I took the plunge.
It’s a reasonably sized unit, it’s not massive, and can be lifted, although with the wheels it really helps.
Setup was easy, with simple instructions on pairing with the ‘Net home Pro’ app found on the Google playstore.
Took minutes to setup through WiFi. I am now able to see the current % humidity and control the unit remotely, setting up a timer schedule which is handy.
I currently run the unit on auto mode.
Ran the unit overnight last night in our living room…..about 10hrs. What a difference! Air felt clearer and warmer, and the windows were all bone dry. It drew about 1litres worth of water.
Today, we’ve had it running in our conservatory and again, windows are dry and it feels alot warmer.
Early days, and I’ll report back in a month or so of operation but the first impressions are impressive.

Early days, but excellent first impressions!!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersMy bedroom suffers from mould and mildew in the winter as all the humidity seems to go into this one room. This also makes the room very cold.

I had a smaller dehumidifier by probreeze and it works but the amount of water it takes in versus how much is coming back into the air via shower, wet clothes etc doesn’t match up.

Mould still grew on my walls and sometimes my clothes. I had been doing a lot of research and when I saw this, I thought why not as I needed a more powerful dehumidifier.

The box is big and heavy so be warned about picking it up. Unpacking was simple and so was setting it up. Though there are many tapes outside, don’t forget to pull out the tank as there are some pieces in there too.

Setting up the app was fine, and works great. I love the fact you can turn it on and set up schedules and basically do everything virtually.

The device looks like a big block of something but it’s okay and the sound is slightly loud but tolerable.

It has been switched on for about an hour, the unit had collected about 200ml of water which is amazing and the percent went from 85% to 50%.

I can already feel that the air is dryer and the windows and walls seem dry which is amazing. The room isn’t as a cold now too!

All in all, I love the unit and think it is worth the price.

UPDATE: It has been a week since I’ve used this. Within 12 hours the tank is full and I have pretty much ran this device twice a day and overnight so that the whole flat can be less humid. It is shocking how much water is collected. In the week, I would think over 12l has been collected so far. The rooms are warmer. There has been no sign of mould so far.

I was told that it can prevent mould growing but not kill existing spores in the air. I had to ensure humidity was below 60% in order for them to die out. So let’s see…
