With the weather getting warmer in the uk, we wanted something more than just a fan. This hit the spot, ok it’s louder than a traditional fan but it’s so much better. Night mode isn’t great but it is quieter. Personally the “natural” Mode is great as it mimics a natural wind (alternating between hard and soft) Highly recommended.
I bought several different cooling systems this one’s been the best does exactly what it says it has four different settings and up until now I’ve only used the first two cause my room down fast love it larger than expected though
I bought this unit and a Klarstein because they both had decent reviews at the time. My experience was that neither one was any good, with ice cold water in the tank, ice bricks included and ice cubes to boot, still could not notice any real cooling difference between the cooling mode and normal fan. I made the mistake of not testing these when they were bought so now am stuck with two tower fans as opposed to “coolers”, my mistake. I also noted that it seemed to only take around an hour when the water in the tank became room temp, despite all the ice that was put in there. Honestly, I would advise against buying these as a cooler and pay the extra for air con units.
As an update, I must thank Emma and the Retail company who have reached out and are supplying another unit having taken the details of the original one. It was my mistake to leave it so late so I really appreciate this and it is not what I was expecting. Thank you again and I look forward to receiving the new unit.
My brother recommended this to me over a year ago. Having recently returned from a holiday, my home was like a greenhouse having had no windows opened for a while and I struggled to cool it down affecting my sleep also. Ordered this which arrived swiftly and it’s been brilliant on the hot nights we have had. It’s not as cold as an air conditioning unit but has kept me cooler at night with undisturbed sleeps. On the night mode lowest setting it is pretty quiet. I’ve been putting very cold water in it along with the freezer blocks it comes with.
This air cooler has been a real Godsend. It came very quickly and I used it immediately. I used it on my lounge and at night in my bedroom. I can highly recommend this item you will be very blessed.
Bought one this week after seeing news of the UK heatwaves. Last year we suffered with cheap/standard air fans only. This year I almost purchased one of those over-priced Dyson fans and luckily spotted this. It’s somewhere between air conditioning and a fan – once filled with cold water, the airflow coming out is much cooler than the surrounding temperature but the cost (upfront and power consumption) is a lot less than AC. All good so far for a few days – perhaps in July/August I’ll regret not going for AC but for now this feels like a good compromise.
Probably the best air cooler I have found yet. Size is amazing especially the height, for other air coolers you need to put them on a platform to get to bed level and get some air whereas with this one you can keep it on floor without having to worry about kids knocking it down.
Don’t expect miracles! This is not an air conditioner and will not lower the temperature of a room like one, and it is clear some reviewers don’t understand the difference. As an air cooler (using water and ice packs) or as standard fan it works extremely well. Personally a couple of hours before retiring I fill the tank and add ice packs, then run it at 3 or 4. Make no mistake this will cool the room down. After that I just run it at 1.
About the Pro Breeze 7L Evaporative Air Cooler : I made the desicion to purchase the air cooler based on liviing in a loft conversion flat, and as it gets really warm most times & i needed something affordable that would atleast cool the room during the day and do so at night aswell. The air cooler is fairly large and with its 7L water tank , would easily last a full day depending worth of humifiying , cooliing small/medium size rooms. The best way of keeping it cooler is of course by topping up the water tank with as much ICE as possible,(The large the Ice, the better) and also by using the freeze packs it comes with , also helps to humidify the air better. This tower fan isn’t as such a full on air conditioner, but more of air purifier/humidifier , and depending on the mode and/or preset fan level , it does get quite noisy at higher fan speeds, but i’ve found fan speed 2 is good enough for most purposes. Unless you happen to have a very large room, then you might reqiuire it to be a bit higher. During the night, fan speed 1 is the most quite and can act as a “Night mode” which i;ve also found can sleep quite easily with this setting. I might upgrade to a air conditioner at some point. but this does a good enough job for now and helps beat the heat outside.
It works, you just put some ice packs in the 7l compartment, and off you go, cold air for you and your family. It really worked well during the hot days in London. Just make sure you have loads of ice in stock.
You definitely get value with this quality product. You The,only fault is that it takes a minute to get used to the whirring fan on the higher fan speeds. It isn’t loud so you get to ignore it very quickly. After careful research, this meets all my criteria. I think its great. Light and stronger breeze to suit your needs. Also night option is very useful. We haven’t turned it off since we bought it for our bedroom. I would highly recommend you buy this.
The way this year has been going I thought I would never get to use this but this week it finally happened. So manoeuvrability is great. I lack space so the size and shape of this was vital to me. It was perfect. Sits in the corner. The ice packs that come with this when this machine is switched on cools my room down quickly. The noise takes a little getting use to so my TV sound is normally 6 but when this goes on it goes up to a 11. However i love this so no regrets and can definately recommend.
