Pros:
– Fits great
– Great build quality on the headset
– Sound is great
– Mic sound quality is awesome
– Doesn’t have too much bass in my opinion
CONS:
– No Noise cancellation on the mic (not too bad though)
– The cable it came with cuts in and out. (fixed this issue. No problems at all now)
UPDATED: Unfortunately I have to give it 3 stars because of the cable. Otherwise, everything else is fine. Can Redragon reach out and send a replacement? Might not even be the cable, could be the port it plugs the cable into the headphones. (have updated my review and I’m giving it 4.5 stars. Still some improvements minor ones to be made. But for the price, BEST headset for the price by far!)
I play games casually so I’m not too worried about the sound. I think they sound pretty good. I have Microsofts 7.1 on and I think it works okay. Mostly I bought them for comfort, because my razer ones were just killing me. These are super comfortable!!! The mic is pretty good but can definitely pick up keyboard and mouse clicks. But I’m sure software could help with that. Like in Discord, it sounds good with their software. I would like to try more products by red dragon and I hope they come out with more pink and white color options :>
I bought this headset after my old Razer Kraken headset stopped working properly and wasn’t looking to invest another 150 bucks into a new headset. Was pleasantly surprised by the sound and mic quality for this price point, my friends could finally hear me on our discord calls!
Unfortunately, after a month of use I ran into the same issue a few others seem to have with the USB cable no longer providing sound to the right side of the headset.
I contacted support and they were quick to respond. They said I need not worry about sending back my faulty cable and they would send a replacement right away. To my surprise they sent me a whole new headset to me within just 4 days of me making the ticket. Redragon exceeded my expectations when it came to support and is definitely a company I’d buy from again.
First of all, I love my Redragon H510, it’s a great headset. The microphone is great and people hear me well while with other headsets I’m usually low. (I don’t speak very loud.) The surround isn’t the best, but it gets the job done for my needs.
After a couple of months, the cable broke. I could only hear from the left side. Less than a week after contacting their support team, I had a new headset in my hands. I did not expect this kind of support. To give you an idea, it took about two/three times longer to get my double-clicking Logitech mouse replaced. (And with a lot more efforts)
100% satisfied customer; wouldn’t hesitate to buy again or to recommand.
Update! – I have received a replacement cord after contacting the seller via email and it works great! I didn’t have to pay for anything or send in the one with the shortage.
Problem Solved! – It’s only been 10 days and the 3.5 mm to usb cord is starting to short out on the right side. I can’t get volume in my right ear unless I move the 3.5 mm side of the cord that is going into the headphones. Is there a way to send it in for a replacement? The only other complaints are, the 3.5 to 3.5mm is kinda low and that the headphones are tight fitting at first. The 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cord works fine it just sounds low so I used a razer 3.5 mm (female) to usb-c (male) cable and a usb c (female) to usb (male) and plugged it into the front usb port on my pc. 1st pic 3.5mm to usb redragon cable. 2nd pic Redragon H510 Zeus headphones. 3rd pic Redragon 3.5 mm cord. 4th pic razer 3.5 mm (female) to usb-c (male) + xaosun usb-c (female) to usb (male) cord 5th pic Redragon headphones with Redragon 3.5 mm cord + razer 3.5 mm (female) to usb-c (male) + xaosun usb-c (female) to usb (male) cord So as you can see this all comes together in the last pic to let me use the headphones and cable that came with it as a usb headset with a couple of attachments. This is a good $50 gaming headset. Comparable to the elsa pro 900. The one’s where u can remove the cord and it has usb c to usb + 3.5 to 3.5 mm
These headphones were purchased for my teenage son primarily for gaming. His satisfaction with them was never an issue until the microphone stopped working. I assumed the whole headset was headed for the recycling bin. I checked into my back orders on Amazon, and found they were not even a year old so I contacted customer service at Redragon. Low and behold I received a response almost immediately trying to resolve the issue with the headset. Ultimately it was the microphone which is detachable and can be replaced. Within a week or so I was sent a new microphone to replace the old one. I am extremely happy with the customer service at Redragon and you will be too, if you ever encounter an issue with their products. This is excellent customer service. Well done!
Every 10 months or so my cheap Logitech headset dies. I buy a new one and move on. I need it for work. I write it off as a business expense so it doesn’t hurt my feelings too much. However, it feels wrong for something to die every ten months. How much plastic and I adding to the garbage heap because of “planned obsolescence “?
I decided to buy these because they have a detachable cord and I was pleasantly surprised to discover the mic is also detachable. My hope is that I will only need to replace broken cords and not the entire headset unit. I don’t use these for gaming, I use them for work calls over Skype and Zoom but the sound is fantastic and the clarity of my voice is great according to those I’ve asked since purchasing this new headset.
The unit feels solid and well built. The cord is braided and thick. The buttons on the USB mute cord are satisfying and responsive, with an indicator light the lets me know I’m muted (red for live, pale blue for muted). So far, so good. I’ve used them on a lot of calls so far without complaint. If they deteriorate or fail, I’ll update this review, but I’m very happy and consider this an upgrade over my disposable Logitech headset and it wasn’t even much more money. Here is hoping these last me longer than 10 months.
If you don’t want to dish out the money for high-end headphones this set is for you! The sound is always crisp and clear particularly with the USB cable. The mic is likewise crisp but it was a tad quiet initially. Once it was boosted however, it worked very well and did not introduce any static into my voice.
I did have a problem with my USB cable after a short while, it had some defect and introduced a lot of static noise with sound output. That said, their customer service was some of the finest I have ever dealt with. They replaced my cable in short order, and were very civil and courteous.
It’s great for gaming, watching videos, etc. Very comfortable.
All in all I highly recommend this headset (Redragon H510 Zeus Headset). 🙂
The audio quality and also mic quality is a lot better than the products I have purchased before, couldn’t ask for more, especially for this price range! The seller is also extremely helpful and friendly!
I was on the lookout for a good budget headset for quite some time after my last one broke. This has to be one of the best headset I’ve owned for quite sometime now. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never really used a Redragon product before and don’t know anyone who had. But to my surprise….
Pros:
-Sound: This sounds great for the price. It won’t blow you away by any means but it does the job and does it very well.
-Build Quality: The build quality is great. The frame is made from metal however, the points which connect the metallic frame to the earcups are made from plastic. It shouldn’t break or anything like that, but something to keep in mind.
-Comfort: The earpads are made from really soft plush leather. The headband is very soft aswell.
-Mic: I was really skeptical at first since most headsets at this price don’t have a great mid (HyperX Cloud Stinger, Corsair HS60, Astra A10 just to name a few), but this mid is absolutely amazing. It is crisp clear. You will not be disappointed.
Cons:
-Software: The software is dog s**t. It is really annoying to do anything in the software. The sad part is, you need the software to use 7.1 surround sound. I don’t use it, stereo is pretty good.
-Noise Cancelling: Like I said before, the mic is phenomenal for this price. With that said, it doesn’t have a very good noise cancelling. The mic will pick up anything around you. The “mehh” part is, since the mic is really good, people in your call will be able to hear everything clearly. I don’t really mind, but some people do.
-Minor Itching: The headband and earpads are very comfortable, but I do start to feel a little itching after wearing the headset for long periods of time (5-6 hours). My head starts to get a little itchy and also around my ears a little bit. It not a very big deal though, just need to take the headset off every 2ish hours for a minute or so.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The sound quality is great, the build quality is great, its very comfortable, and the mic quality is phenomenal. I would highly recommend this headset to anyone looking for a good durable headset for a budget.
Here are the Pros
-Comfy Headphones
-Good Sound and decent bass
-Really good mic for talking to friends
-Good price for for a quality headset
-Really good and helpful customer support
Cons
-Can get a bit uncomfy after a few hours
-I personally had a problem where my friends could hear an echo of my game/desktop/music sounds, I managed to find out it was to do with the headset but I must have got a bad one cause no one else has had this issue
-Drivers are a bit annoying to install, if you didn’t know about them you probably wouldn’t know how or where to get them
I bought these headphones 4 months ago, they’ve been working great for me! Really comfortable and I enjoy it’s sound quality. I know these aren’t top-tier in terms of sound, but it’s pretty good imo, it has a nice amount of bass and all the mids and highs are really clear, they work amazing for videogames and pretty good for listening to music. They have some noise cancellation, but nothing too crazy.
eally great headset for the price, i had an issue with the sound cable with the first one i got but i had contacted Amazon and they sorted it right away and gave me a new one. i’ve tried more expensive headsets and i think this one is better!
The sound quality is average as one would expect from this price range. They have been great for both gaming and zoom classes/calls.
One small note with the USB connection, it on occasion has an issue with YouTube where the videos won’t load and the advise is to reboot the device. All I had to do was unplug the headphones and then plug them back in and the videos would load again. I forget the technical reasons, my tech partner figured out it was something with the driver of the usb headset and the only real answer is to unplug and re-plug then refresh the window and it was fine after. It still happens on occasion but not too much of a pain to deal with.
So I don’t normally write big reviews but these deserve it.
Pros:
Sounds great- The music quality is fanamenal at this price point you can’t beat it. Heavy bass, rich highs, and lows I listened to one of my favorite songs in these and it made me cry because I started hearing instruments and sounds I had never noticed in the song before and it was such a beautiful sound.
The mic is so good- my friends can listen to the music coming out of my speakers from my desk and actually enjoy it that is a huge deal if you have ever heard that annoying horrible sounding music from someone’s mic before then you know the pain. but with these, it sounds like you are playing the music through the game it’s so good.
To me, they are very comfortable I wear them all day for school and work and I never have any pain or am uncomfortable.
When I did have an issue with these (it was small and it is in the cons) the customer support was so helpful and so responsive.
Cons:
They still sound fine for gaming and music when using the aux cable but to really get the full effect of these little monsters you need the drivers from the USB cable and PC.
My USB cable stopped emitting sound on the right side. Only that cable though after about 2-3 months however within 2 days of reporting this I had a replacement (a full new headset) for free under the warranty
I honestly would have given these headphones 5 stars about a month ago. I loved the modular nature of them figuring if one piece went I’d only have to change out the broken piece (I lose a lot of good headphones to cord damage). I loved them so much I bought my boyfriend the same pair! Now? Well when my boyfriend’s cord started to have issues I now can’t find a replacement. He’s currently using one of the other cords but he really liked the USB one. Something to keep in mind. Still great headphones but not 100% what I was hoping for I guess.
Overall I really like these. They’re very light and aren’t overly tight on my head. The extra cords def were nice as well so I can basically use em on anything. All cables/cords are a good braided style. Software/drivers were easy to get and install.
Sound quality out of the box does leave something to be desired. Using the built-in eq from the software does help alittle but not as much as I would hope for. The headset itself however when used with good eq software are a completely different story. All sound ranges come in crisp and clear for the most part. With the defualt software you get good highs and mids but the bass is def meh. I paired it up with APO Equalizer software w/ the Peace UI and it made a huge difference.
Mic seems to work good, everyone I have talked to says I come in crisp and clear. When using a non push to talk setup the mic doesn’t pick up unless I am speaking, which is good. The detachable mic is also a pretty nice feature I didn’t really think I would use but I actually do.
Overall I would def recommend getting these if you are low on funds but still want a really good headset that has good sound, good mic, comfort, surround and overall a great deal.
I did a bunch of research and agonized over the decision of which headset to buy. These were a great choice.
Sound quality – great
Mic quality – great
Build quality – great
Software – good
Clamping force (on my big head) – awful, but fixable!
Comfort, otherwise – great
Modularity – great (detachable mic/audio cable, plus USB connection or 3.5mm out of the box)
A couple of notes
1. **Get the software!**
That is how you enable ‘side tone’ which lets you hear yourself when you speak. This is great so you don’t end up yelling or just generally feel like you’re underwater
1a. There are settings for the other audio features in there like ‘surround sound’ (which is pretty much bogus in all headphones) but more importantly there is a great little equalizer and you can make presets for games/music/etc
2. **USE THE USB CABLE**
Your computer probably has a terrible sound card – no offense, mine does too
3. **Make sure everything is plugged in all the way**
If people tell you they can hear themselves through your mic, you might not have the audio cable plugged all the way in to the headset – I almost sent mine back before I realized my mistake
4. **Clamping force** – jeez these are tight out of the box. Disclaimer: I have a large head and I’m sensitive to clamping force.
Remedies:
– I would highly recommend finding a box or some other object that is larger than your head and stretching these over that box every time you take them off. this will slowly reduce the clamping force.
– you can also bend the top of the headband back QUITE a bit to force them to stretch, just be very careful.
– I even went one step further… i padded the metal part that holds the earcups with a washcloth and used pliers to slightly bend it out away from my head.
Now that the clamping force isn’t an issue for me, the comfort is excellent.
They are nice and deep earcups so they don’t fatigue my outer ear
The earcups are plush and make a good seal
They are lightweight
No issues gaming for as much as 8 hours in a row.
Can’t recommend these enough
Overall a great headset. They are comfortable over a period of 5 hours or more, crystal clear voice coms etc, and detachable cables for multi platforms.
Personally, I’ve had this headset for a few months. For its price, it’s actually really good. The first thing I want to talk about is the microphone. For a headset microphone, the microphone is really good. However I noticed some issues a few months down the line but managed to solve it with redragon support. After a few months of having the headset, I noticed there was some noticeable bleed. Skye from redragon support was very understanding and gave me simple solutions with pictures. However, these solutions didn’t work but instead they sent me a brand new headset. This one obviously works good as new. The third thing I want to go into is the comfort. I could go several hours with this headset on and almost forget the headset is on my head. The headset is lightweight and can adjust to many head sizes. Also, the microphone is detachable incase you have your own microphone. Finally, the sound quality is just about what you would expect from a gaming headset. Overall, I have no complaints and truely believe redragon is an amazing company with quality products.
So had a little issu with the usb-axux cord cable, and it was really stressful as i couldnt send the headset back as i needed it so the company has refunded me some money to buuy the cable else where, they would of taken a month to deliver the new cable, and the aux-aux cord is not something i can use in my situation. Had a problem, they were super helpful! Would recommend buying from them , any issues they ill help!!!
You need to let everyone know up front that
The 7.1 only works on the computer..
Will not work on the game consoles. Also need to let the consumers know that you can not lower or raise the volume nor can you mute your mic unless you have an adapter..
False advertising which is not fair the the customer. The more I type the more upset I get..I am returning this product. Just because I feel cheated.
Very pleased with the headset for the price. Good sound quality, nice style and materials. Unfortunately I had an issue with the USB cable after about 9 months, but received very good customer service to replace the cable under warranty.
Like almost all “gaming headsets” on Amazon, these are falsely advertised as surround sound. They’re not. They have some software that tries (and fails) to emulate surround sound. The audio actually sounds better with the emulator disabled, too. These should be considered 2.1, not 7.1.
In my case, I wanted a comfortable headset with decent quality for communication. This fits that bill. I wear prescription glasses, so comfort is a must, and these do the job. The in line controls are a bonus, too.
For the price point, these are fine.
After a while it started to make crackling noises and started connecting and disconnecting. But after my complaint they have sent me a brand new pair of headphones. So its all gucci.
Do not download the software for this thing, will give you malware which destroyed my hard drive and now I’m forced to upgrade my pc.
The headset feels premium out of the box, and the fit and finish are very nice. Sound quality is also good, but download the driver software to get the most of it.
I had issues with my usb cable breaking, which is a shame as this set is best used with the usb cable. The replacement cable they sent out also broke internally within a month or two. Might be the positioning of the headphone jack on the earcuo, which tends to rub against your shoulder. Redragon customer service has been extremely helpful throughout the process though, so if you happen to get a cable that craps out like mine did, they’ll take good care of you.
Extremely comfortable, doesn’t get sweaty and games sound great. One of the included cables has already broken after a few months. It’s very crackly and cuts off sound every few seconds. The headset still works fine with the other included cable, but it’s inconvenient that I can’t mute or adjust volume easily anymore. Otherwise, a good headset for the price and I’ve enjoyed using it so far.
I like Redragon products, mechanically they are usually pretty solid. The company packs a good balance of performance for the money. Their one failing point always seems to be the software and this is unfortunately no exception. For example I need to use two separate versions of their configuration software to get the RGB on my keyboard to work mostly correctly, tho I still fully recommend that because it like these headphones it’s solid mechanically. Such that I got 98% of the bells and whistles I wanted from a more namebrand keyboard for something like half the price.
My two major selling points for these headphones where that they
1) had a detachable cable
2) had a USB interface
The build quality on these Headphones is solid, they are comfortable and the sound is pretty good. Where they fall flat in classic Redragon fashion is the Software. The interface for ranged in my experience was less than pleasant. I also found pretty much anything that attempted to apply synthetic echo to be all but unusable.
Thankfully you don’t need to install it and IMO they preform better with the default windows drivers anyhow.
From my experience with the Redragon software at least two of the preset audio settings where IMO strait up unusable. Pretty much anything where you applied any sort of simulated echo was a strait up disaster. But again you do not need to use it.
I still remember trying to fix an unrelated in game Mic issue caused by the game NOT the headphones. Where I had just decided to remove the Redragon software from the equation. I can’t recall if I had just disabled everything or strait up uninstalled mid game but the second they where disabled I was shocked. As a previously muddy ambient audio source in the game went from being muddy and hard to tell where it was in relation to my character to solidly crisp and easy to track without the Redragon software.
At the end of the day, would I recommend these headphones, yes, they offer IMO a great return in performance for the price. Redragon has a sweetspot for offering solid performance on a budget, if you are willing to overlook their software being more than a little….. not great.
Again in this instance you can skip their software all together so it isn’t even an issue, which leaves you with a solid set of headphones.
I was quite pleasantly surprised by these headphones. They fit over my head well, though they do get a little uncomfortable after about 4 hours of use. The microphone is shockingly high-quality, especially considering it’s on a headset. The microphone is similar in quality to my Blue Snowball, though I do run my audio through a mixer. However, it didn’t take much tweaking at all.
For context, I’ve tried four different brands of headphones, including Turtle Beach, and these easily outpace anyone else. The only headphones I’ve ever had that were higher quality were from Audio-Technica, but they didn’t have a built in mic.
TL;DR – Buy these.
My friend get one and told is the best headset I could get so I give it a Try.
It was awesome, worked marvelously untill one day it just didn’t.
The earphones were still working, but the mic didn’t seem to be working. I ran several tests and nothing happened.
I contacted Amazon and we run some other tests together and finally, they suggested to contact the manufacturers.
So I did and they put their souls into the matter. We ran some other tests and they decided to send me another microphone. Since I live kinda far, I took some time to arrive. I was happy and satisfied.
And then, the new mic didn’t work either.
Once again I contacted support dep, and the people there were as suprised as I was, but once again we ran more and more tests and found out that both microphones were actaully working, but no the way it should when plugged into the headset. So we all finally concluded some anomaly happened inside the headset. It sound good, but some inner connection failed causing the mics misshap.
They offer me a new whole set whitout any charge and it is just great. So, in the worst possible case, you are still getting the best of the best.
These are fantastic headphones. Once they start to break in they become extremely comfortable, even when gaming for long hours at a time.
The surround sound works great, and it’s easy to tell where the sounds are coming from which is a great feature if you play FPS games.
Would recommend them to anyone who doesn’t mind being tethered. I upgraded to these from a wireless pair of steel series and haven’t looked back. Got sick of charging them, and these Redragons have WAY more volume.
Noise cancellation could be better, but works well enough.
Definitely worth the price.
Good quality headset for the price. First headset came with a faulty wire but the support team sent a replacement quickly after some emailing about the problem. The replacement is working well with good microphone quality and audio quality.
I had a pair of Razer Kraken a buddy bought me to use online for game chat. They were great, the 7.1 was immersive, etc. However, the headband started Kraking all over the place. No abuse was done to them whatsoever. It got to the point a couple months ago they flexed so hard there was -0dB bass. I researched best budget 7.1 headphones, and came across these Redragon ones. It was one of the only ones in the list that was sub $100.
I love the metal build quality. They sound great. They’re much louder than the Razer Kraken. Most the time when I “Jam out” I’m at 50% volume, when I would always be at 100% with the Razer and hoping for more. The 7.1 configuration with the software leaves a little to be desired since nothing seems to make a difference, and I would like to feel more tingle in my ears from the bass, but they’re an excellent build. After having watched reviews online, I ended up removing the filter behind the cushion. The mids are definitely slapping harder after having done so. Overall, highly recommend; especially for the price. Not to mention, since it’s ‘modular’, I like being able to plug in the headset when needed.
My only major complaint is the LED on the controls. It will flash red when it’s on mute. I’ll be putting out a cigarette over my lap, the light will catch my eyes, and I’ll think I dropped a cherry on my crotch and go to brush it off in a hurry so I don’t burn my ding-a-ling, and then remember it’s just the light from my headphones.
Highly recommend, made out of great materials that will last a long time, comes with a splitter, 3.5mm to USB A, a surround sound 3.5mm to USB A too and its comes with a 3.5mm to another 3,5mm so it can connect to a headphone jack on a controller or phone. (The USB A to 3.5mm also comes with a control box attached to it so you can mute yourself, the sound and increase or decrease windows volume) the microphone is good and is detachable so when you’re not using it it’s not in the way. I’ve had this for about 6 months now and the quality of sound has not decreased, all the cords still work flawlessly aswell as the microphone. The supports are made of metal so they wound bend or break like other microphones.
Bought for my son.
It must be good.
Hes happy
Vielen Dank.
Redragon has always impressed me with their price and the quality of the product. This headset is no exception, the build quality is great, sound, and mic were all amazing for the price. The 7.1 surround is pretty average, nothign amazing but for the price it does its job. The software that come with it, it’s ok, although I prefer my THX Spatial. I would highly recommend this headset for anyone who is on a budget. The only negative I have about this headset, the clamp force can be a bit too much. I got a headache wearing the headset for about a couple of days, however, once it stretched it was fine.
Excellent gaming headset, crisp sound quality and very comfortable especially with long gaming sessions. For the price you can’t got wrong, I found them way better than my previous headset which are razors which were not as good of quality for the price.
I highly recommend these if your on a budget build, ot even if your not.
Was unlucky as the microphone didn’t work so I had to get it refunded. I really liked the design and feel to the headset so I have ordered another pair and this time it worked as expected. I am glad I gave them another chance.
This headset is durable, fairly price-appropriate, and exceptionally comfortable. Got it because my old headset had the issue were there was not enough space between the pads and the actual speakers. After twenty minutes of wearing my old headset, my ears were painfully sensitive. This headset does NOT have that issue at all and is SUPER comfy. I really enjoy it and wear it for multiple hours at a time now.
Mic quality is good according to my gaming buddies and they can always hear me clearly. I also really like having a dedicated mute-mic button on the in-line controls.
ONLY issue I have is audio quality. Volume on this thing is nuts and it gets super loud, however the actual quality of that audio at any level is not up to par. I’ve had headsets literally half this price sound twice as good. The highs are a bit too tin-y and the bass is pretty poor. The best way I can explain it is to say think about listening to music on a normal headset but also if the peak highs and peak lows were coming through a phone speaker.
The overall mix of sound is definitely acceptable and usable for gaming, watching movies, and whatever else. You’re just going to be very unimpressed and constantly wishing it was better. Gunshots in movies and games, in particular, are REALLY unimpressive.
I really like this headset and hope to get some software to mitigate the mixing issues it has. I would definitely recommend this headset.
Sound quality and mic very good quality and Comfortable fi
incredible surround sound for Gaming with crystal clear mic. Only drawback in my case is the cable length to my computer, another 2 feet would have been nice.
Overall great quality for the price !
Bought these for gaming and could not be happier. Good sound quality and I’ve had good reports on mike quality. Nice thick ear padding that is comfortable and cuts out a lot of background noise. The mike is removable when not gaming. All in all, a great headset.
Microphone: The mic is actually very impressive. It’s crystal clear sound really draws attention away from a lot of other headsets, especially it’s physical adjustable function!
Speaker: I’ve experienced issues with the sound of the headset for multiple platforms (PC, Xbox, Phone).
I used the 3.5mm-3.5mm for my Xbox one controller (with, and without, Xbox one headset adapter) and noticed audio unbalance with the L speaker not carrying the same volume and bass as the R speaker. I attempted to verify if it was my personal left eardrum having issues, or the headset itself, so I began another test with my phone and another set of headphones. Using a L&R sound test, I came to conclusion that the left speaker wasn’t working properly. I moved onto my pc and plugged in the 3.5mm-USB into my system, unfortunately the same issue was still occurring. I manually increased the L ear to compensate the lack of volume, but the issue of bass was still present.
Compatibility: The headset is provided with multiple sets of connectors for your convenience. The only downside would be that the headset controls are associated with the 3.5mm-USB cable, meaning only a few devices, such as a PC, would be able to use that feature.
Overall, this is a fantastic headset that can take the cake for a lot of its features and capabilities when compared to other headsets around its price range. As much as I want to love this headset, the pair that I received really made the sound experience very uncomfortable to enjoy.
Edit: I contacted the company in regards of my defective product and received a new one within a couple weeks! The new one was perfect, coming with everything included!
Interesting issue I discovered with my experience with these headphones. Whenever I used my paper shredder, while I had my headset on, the headset would be disabled and no longer function. It would only function properly when I unplugged, and plugged my headset back in from my pc/xbox controller. Weird how that worked. I can only believe that it’s the emf produced by the shredder, maybe it overwhelmed the frequency from the cable for the headset.
Atm, it is August 15, 2022. The headset still works perfect, good as new! I’m really impressed that it’s lasted this long so far and still producing the same quality as it did from the start!
Great headset, good audio quality and very high quality earcups and ear frames. Love the feel and it isnt too heavy on your head, overall solid headset, highly recommend
I got this headset after a bit of research on mid-priced headsets after my old one died on me. While initially I was happy with it (and still am, somewhat) there are a few things that are bothering me about it.
1: The remote for the controls on the headset are at a weird length. Instead of being up around my chest where it would be easy to reach or grab in the dark, you sort of have to fish your way to them when you need to use them. This also means that sometimes the controls get pressed up against my desk, being wedged between my chair and the desk, causing my audio to get deafened or my mic to get muted randomly. It’s pretty frustrating when you realize you’re not being heard or you can’t hear the other person without knowing why.
2: The light on the remote is a bit backwards – I feel like red should mean muted, not purple.
3: The ear cups are pretty comfy for the first one or two hours but if I need to spend more than that at my computer with these on, my ears do start to hurt a bit – but this may just be because I have a big head.
That being said, the sound quality is pretty great (though I’m not an audiophile by any means) – unfortunately that means I can hear mouth sounds like chewing from certain cooking videos on youtube.
The people I’ve spoken to through the mic say it has a pretty decent mic quality too.
These things are great, I was very happy with price, and even more happy with the actual product. My one and only complaint would be the cord of course, but I like that it is usb at least. A huge plus was that the splitter it came with allowed me to use it with my Oculus Quest, perfect really for it. I have already recommended these headphones to a few personal friends so if you are reading this review it means you’re looking for a pair and I am here to say you wont be disappointed. They are comfortable, soft on the ears, light, and block noise out by just wearing them. If you are looking for headphones for your oculus quest, get these things without a doubt!
I searched a lot. This headset is complete, has a detachable headset, detachable wire and 2 connection options (p2 and USB). In this price range I found nothing with these features.

RECOMENDED.
The sound quality on these is better than I expected, especially for the price ($75CAD). I have owned a few headphones in the $150 range and these compare quite favourably. I am typing on a mechanical keyboard and I can barely hear my typing while wearing these, even without sound being played, so sound isolation on the ear cups is pretty good but the lack of airflow means my ears heat up and sweat on extended play sessions. The mic recording is not perfect by an audiophiles standards, but it is quite serviceable and again well beyond what I expected, and I like that it can be removed. Build quality feels quite sturdy and it looks pretty sharp. The only two short comings for me are that it is a bit tight on my large head and, as mentioned earlier, the cups get quite warm on my ears. That being said, I have large ears and the cups (just!) fit around my them which I was pleasantly surprised by. All in all, a great value in this price range and possibly the best under $100.
I bought this to try out after seeing reviews on youtube and on the product. For what you get with this headset, it’s not even fair to the other competition out there. At $55 it performs just about on par with up to about $100 headsets. I’ve tried a lot of different pairs and I 100% recommend these to anyone who is getting into gaming especially for FPS. The sound levels are LOUD. I was using the Steelseries Arctis 1 and 3 and these things bang compared to them and the mic quality is very good as well (better than all its competition under $60 and on par with the ones that are $60+) and it has decent noise cancellation. I would just set the sensitivity of your mic like on Discord and such so it doesn’t pick up as much sound. Almost Hyper Cloud 2 good. I personally would make the claim that this is the best budget headset in the market. Redragon delivered above and beyond the price point for this product especially as their entry into the headset market as I have seen the reviews for its newer 710 verson not being as good as this 510 series. With the extra savings and coupon thats going on right now. This is a no brainer, shoot that shot, and try these bad boys out. I let my friends test it as well and they all loved it. I’m not saying its a perfect headset but it outperforms its price point well. Sound isnt the most crisp when it comes to listening to music or watching shows but if you got this to game, then this will give you all you need to begin with especially if you aren’t trying to spend $100+ on head phones. Competitive and casual alike, this headset can give you what you want. The other option I’d recommend JUST because they went on sale at this time, is the HyperX Cloud 2s at $80 but if you aren’t trying to go over $60 then this is it, chief. If you’re willing to shell out another $20, then go for the Cloud 2s.
The headset worked well for 5 months before the microphone stopped working. The seller was quick to respond and sent a whole new headset. In operation the unit works very well. Possibly too well as its very difficult to communicate (shout!) to the user while they are wearing it 🙂
I watched lots of youtube videos when researching this headset. Primarily I was interested in the mic as I need a mic to do voice overs while recording my screen. The reviews did not do it justice. I don’t know what the reviewers were doing wrong but I used it with obs, did a little jiggery pokery in the settings as advised by youtuber and it was crystal clear. I even uploaded a short video to YouTube to test in real world use and again for 50 I am very happy with this product. It is a Chinese product. Top tip when you download the zip file for the drivers change the main file name to something non-chinese otherwise you may get errors when trying to extract it. Very impressed with this item works great with all my online games and obs studio
For the price of this headset it is a solid choice the quality is great doesn’t feel cheap the sound is great and mic is really clear have been using it on Call of Duty Warzone and it picks up the audio very nicely the sound may not be top notch but it is very good. I would definitely recommend this headset for gaming if you’re on a budget Redragon isn’t the most well known but this headset has me looking at their other products and I plan to purchase more of their stuff soo
Nice sound quality! healthy amount of bass, but not overboard. The quality of material is good and light. They look nice! Only minor negatives are my ears get pretty hot after an hour or so of usage, depends on your scenario, and when I plug the headset in using the 3.5mm jack into an xbox one controller the sound is quite low, too low for me, and I would bet too low for most. I tried them on a laptop using the usb cord and they are louder then I could ask for. I’m an entry level gamer who just got back into it. I wanted some quality at an affordable price. I use an inline amplifier plugged into my Xbox 1 controller and plug my headset into the amplifier to increase the volume. honestly… it’s still not loud enough for certain games.
Y’all, I never write reviews on Amazon. This is my first review (I think). These headphones are so awesome I had to write a review about them.
Okay first thing, the item comes with the headset, mic attachment, USB plug-in, the 2 line plug-in, a sticker, a manual, and an adapter type cord thing? I’m not a techie so I can’t give more info than “adapter type thing” lol.
I play on PC and I stream on PC as well. I watched several reviews for this product before officially pulling the trigger and buying it.
The headset is SUPER comfortable. The cushion on the muffs and the headband are so squishy and not super hard or thick. The muffs fit perfectly around my ears and I had no problem doing my 2-hour stream with them on. I wear glasses and the earmuffs don’t squeeze super tight on the frames and hurt my head like most other headsets. I could wear them for hours.
The microphone has a filter on it and the sound quality is absolutely shocking. My viewers cannot hear my keyboard or my mouse clicks unless they are absolutely listening for it. Besides, I’m usually talking over those sounds or have a game audio output. So no noise from that. However, you could hear my wife across the room talking through the mic. So not completely canceling of all noise. I am super pleased with the microphone. It’s a great headset for first-time streamers who are trying to start streaming on a budget (me).
The audio output quality is honestly bomb AF. If I’m playing Fortnite, and my Fortnite setting are set right, I can hear exactly where gunshots or footsteps are coming from. It’s awesome. Very crystal clear sound.
The cord is pretty long which I enjoy because of my setup and the dongle attachment it awesome for volume control and muting my mic, and a separate button for muting my headset.
My ONLY quarrels have nothing to do with the quality of the headset. The mic and the cord attach on the left earmuff and my PC tower is on the right side of my setup. Therefore that cable management is a little annoying because I like my tower on the right side of my setup so I and viewers on my stream can see my PC setup through the tempered glass panel of my rig. Therefore this gets annoying because the cord has to lay weirdly within my setup and gets in the way of my left arm when I’m gaming. This is just a good heads up for others whom this may be a deal-breaker.
Overall this headset is perfect for PC game streamers. I don’t use the headset for PS4 of XBOX so I couldn’t attest to that. However, if you’re looking for a PC headset, I’m telling you right now you NEED this headset. It’s perfect. 100% recommend.
(March 2021 update) these headphones are still as good as they were when i started using them back in june 2020. The sounds issues i had early on are 100% gone and i have clear sound quality that i like. They have not declined in sound quality or comfort in any way shape or form. I love these headphones and I’m so glad i ordered them. I use them to listen to music from time to time and YouTube videos as well and the quality is consistent. I recommend these as great quality, budget headphones from someone who got tired of buying new headphones every few months.
(I play on xbox by the way) The sound quality is pretty good and clear and since i play COD and other shooters i dont feel like i have a disadvantage. They are very comfortable and i never get tired of wearing them. I really love the design and it looks and feels very durable too but i’ll see how they hold up a few months from now since this is the first time i buy this brand. What i didnt like is that i wasnt able to use the cable with the volume adjuster/mic on and off switch on my controller. I think i need an adapter for that. I ended up using the basic regular cable that it comes with and it works fine except i gotta adjust volume and turn the mic on/off in the xbox dashboard settings. I say “for the most part” on how well the cable works because although i do get sound coming through, sometimes it cuts out and comes back and other times it cuts out and doesn’t come back and i have to unplug and replug the headset. It gets kind of annoying but i can put up with it as it doesnt happen too often. Overall great headset for the price, cool design, great quality, and very comfortable. With the exception of the 2 issues i pointed out.
These are my second pair of these headphones. They’re awesome but they have one major downfall and that is they have a 3.5mm jack that goes from the headphones to which ever input you choose (usb or the double 3.5mm jacks). The jack that goes into the headphones on my first pair got worn out in less than a year. They dont get unplugged ever and they get hung on a headphone stand after use. Overall they’re a great pair of headphones but I had to pay over $60 for another pair just to replace a proprietary cord which is the 3.5mm to usb.
I have been working my way through all kinds of bargain headsets that cost about $20-30 and finally up’d my budget to purchase this. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort produced by these. I am a fairly casual gamer and unable to comment on the durability from daily use but over the last 5 months or so, these have performed very well. Mic input is accurate and notably better than my last set according to players in Twitch with me. I dont really think they cancel any noise, nor is the active noise cancelling features but the deep ear cones for an over-the-ear set helps considerably. You might not hear people in your house but these are not going to silence background noise on an airplane like Bose do.
For the money I spent, I think this is one of the best headsets out there and would purchase again.
I have been purchasing Red Dragon lately, i first purchased their 16 macro key Mouse that i love! i have tried Nagas etc and very much disliked them so I never got into macro button mouses until Red Dragon.. Anyways.
I have been mainly using Plantronics 780 Headsets and I just got this headset today and I love it much more than the Plantronics 780. The sound quality to this Red Dragon headset is very clean and crisp, good balance of sound, but its actually pretty darn rich also, I was pleasantly surprised, and am continuing to be surprised by this company.
The quality of the product feels really nice and solid, the ear pieces are super comfortable, other headsets always gave me headaches, this one I feel I am going to forget I even have it on its that comfortable on my head and ears. i love how flexible it is, easy to adjust and i like how the mic isnt in my face or a eye sore at the corner of my eye.
The Mic quality sounds really crisp, clear and clean on Discord, im not real picky about my mics as I am more picky about sound quality.
Really nice over all though, to be honest I really didnt think ide get this nice of a headset for the price.. I am very much loving Red Dragons products, next is to get one of their Keyboards and Macro Keypads
I have always bought Logitech and Corsair stuff, but I decided to try and be more budget-conscious, so I decided to give Redragon a chance… I cannot express how glad I am that I did. I bought the Kumara keyboard, this Zeus 7.1 Ch headset, and the Cobra mouse, and an extra large mousepad all for close to the price of just a Logitech or Corsair keyboard ALONE. The quality of these Redragon accessories leaves nothing at all to be desired. They look and feel just as high quality as all the bigger name brands. I am extremely happy with Redragon and needless to say, they’ve gained a fan!
*Note: I knocked off a star from the “noise-canceling” rating as these headphones are NOT noise canceling, but they do a fine job of keeping out ambient noise on their own. The sound quality and comfortability more than makes up for the lack of active noise l-canceling, IMO.
Short and sweet…best headphones out there. Mic quality is perfect, sounds like folks are standing in the room with you. Headphones cancel outside sound enough, its not 100% but I’d say its 80% or so. I am the kind of person who reads reviews, watches videos and struggles to make a quality purchase. Even something like a $60 headset better FEEL like its a good purchase when its all said-and-done. These fellers are the best you can get for under $150! Forget about it…they are so good, I have purchased three sets of them! Take it from a ‘cheap SOB’, they are worth every penny!
UPDATE
My wife and daughter lost the mics for their headphones. I contacted the companies Customer Support and within 4 days they had new microphones in my hand here! Cost was less than you’d think shipping would have been! I honestly couldn’t be happier with these headphones!
I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a GOOD sounding pair!
These Headphones work really well. I tested almost every aspect of their sound quality with my PC, and its pretty much the top tier in everything, however keep in mind to get the same quality out of these headphones you’ll need a good enough sound card. Don’t buy these for the virtual surround software. The software was the sketchiest download i’ve ever seen from a supposedly major retailer. You had to get it through Google Drive, the filename was in Chinese characters, not english, and in the end my Anti-Virus didn’t let it through. The sound quality is great though. I personally use the USB input the most, as it’s very easy to use. The Mic is decent enough, the fact that it’s detachable is a huge bonus. Also, they were packaged fairly well, but there was a streak of white paint on the bag that came with the headphones, i don’t know how that happened. It doesn’t really affect me though since i don’t really have any need for it. Overall I think this was a pretty good purchase.
Its comfortable, sounds nice and mic quality is very good, bass is also good. Overall good for 50
Very pleased with the product , very good quality and i am surprised how light they feel on my head . Sound quality also very good overall the headset worth the money
Small dings on the box (UPS?) but willing to overlook because of the quality of this product…It sounds and works great. Sadly full capabilities are reduced on Xbox One. especially ability to mute the headset ..so you must unplug the mic from the headset in order to mute it . Xbox built in mute switch in settings won’t even mute the mic.Only with party chat. In game, the mic is always on.
Edit) 22 months later and the main headset is still working I say main cause the cables broke down after a long while but that’s the reason why I bought this headset since the cables are replaceable (: I’ll definitely buy another soon just because… but not any other product they sell cause they stopped creating there products like this and nowthere becoming like the rest of the companies ): please return to this design for future products.
Wow. These sound amazing. Never had USB powered headphones before. They are loud and crisp. Good base. Played some Dolby sound demo of getting a haircut. It was unreal. Clippers sounds coming from all around my head!!!!. Headphone feel like a quality product. Good seal around my ears. Braided cables. Love thAt the cable is detachable from the headset. Makes it easy to replace cables but also allow for a standard 3.5mm cable to be inserted for multiple use scenarios. USB for desktop PC or laptop. 3.5mm for phone, tablet, game controller, etc. This makes them very versatile. Why not a 5 then? Well when you have no or low volume, the rubbing of the braided cable, Get translated to the left cup. Not just moving your head. You can rub the cables with your fingers anywhere down to the volume controls on the USB cable and you will hear that rubbing sound. Minor annoyance. But worth mentioning. Turning up the volume obviously solves it. All in all definitely worth it for the price
I primarily use the set for gaming, and they sound great. The microphone is clear, without any static noise. Several cables are provided for different use cases.
Great quality headphones, wore it for 10 hours straight out of the box, with no issues.
Comfortable, and the sound quality is fantastic. These are my first “surround sound” headphones, so my point of reference before this were some Dre Beats Studios, and 5 dollar skull candy ear buds.
I love these. For gaming theyre great, and have enough fidelity to let you hear everything around you, and at distance. The software driver that you download has a 7.1 mode that you need to enable, but it also comes with some cool things like an EQ and settings for the mic.
They feel comfortable and durable, and looks streamlined enough to where I wouldn’t feel weird taking these out and wearing them when Im listening to music on the go. The detachable mic is also helpful in this regard since it lets you wear just the cans.
The cords are braided and feel durable enough to withstand wear and tear, and hold off on any wire damage. I also liked that one of the cords has a USB connection, and another cord has a 3.5mm connection with additional y-splitter which is pretty versatile in what I get to plug it into.
All in all, for 50 bucks I felt like I got something that is worth more. Im looking forward to seeing how these last, in the meanwhile, I’ll keep owning these fools in my online FPS games.
Bought this headset to replace my son’s ancient busted Triton ax720’s. I can say they sound great using a high end sound card. Good spatial sound, meaning you hear sounds/enemy footsteps location accurately. Build quality is also great. Super comfortable right out of the box. Only negative I found. Was the provided usb/redragon audio driver’s dont sound nearly as good as my onboard audio. I don’t leave a lot of reviews. But I’ve bought a few Redragon products now, and have been impressed by the build quality and value. If you’re in the market for pc peripherals I highly recommend checking out Redragon.
Well to be honest i wasnt so sure about this purchase. Ive never heard of red dragon before but im a week in and have no complaints. The audio is amazing and i love the fact the wire is detachable cause the wire part is where all my headsets got damaged so if it happens again i can just order a 3.5 audio cable and its fixed!! The sound quality is just as good as the kracken from razor and i sound way more clearer on the mic than ever. I did get them for 35.99 but i guess i got lucky and caught a sale cause i see the are 50 bucks again. So are they worth 50 bucks??? I think i would totally pay 50 bucks for them. I have a feeling these will be my final headsets
This is by far, one of the best headsets I’ve ever had. The passive noise cancelling is awesome, and it is very comfortable. The sound quality is very nice and comparable to the premium headsets that are more expensive, the bass quality is awesome and everything just sounds better with Surround Sound. If you’re into games like CoD, Battlefield, War Thunder etc. This headset will improve your experience significantly. The mic quality is phenomenal, it is very clear and picks up no background noise as much as I’ve heard. The only thing you’ll need to make sure is that on Windows 10, choose the USB Audio Plug-In for Input and Output, for some reason Win 10 didn’t automatically select it for me. Overall 10/10
Great sound, good durability, very flexible and deep bass, not ear rattling but deep enough to scare the crap out of me when a zombie starts stalking me in 7 days to die.
This is a good value for money headset, however, dont expect noise cancelling (you don’t want it any way because it detracts from the audio quality).
Not oversized – check, comfortable – check, great situational sound – check, affordable price – check, quality mic – check. Honestly, for the price listed, this should be 5 star product. The only annoying thing is if you plan to use it for console gaming, the 3.5 mm line does not have a mute function. For Xbox, you will have to rely on an adapter on your controller for the ability to mute your mic. I use the ASTRO Mixamp Pro TR on console, so that’s not an option for me. A way around it is to use a cord from another headset with a mic mute switch. I ended up buying the 5 pole cable used for the ASTRO A40s and just slightly pull out the side that connects to the headset to get full mic and listening capabilities with the luxury of being able to mute. It works if you choose to go this route. You will also run into this problem if you use an external soundcard like the Sound BlasterX G6 on PC.
Cable aside, the sound quality is really good. I have other headsets that cost well over $100 and sometimes I can’t even tell a difference in sound quality. The mic is probably the best I’ve used on Xbox. People tell me how clear I sound. The 7.1 function is definitely an added ability that gives you an advantage in gaming for situational awareness (assuming you have the ability to output 7.1). A lot of times for casual listening on PC, I’ll use these over my more expensive ones because it is comfortable over a long duration and not oversized.
I recommend this headset if the 3.5 mm cable lacking a mic mute function isn’t a dealbreaker for you.
Complete package, has comfort as it covers the whole ear, audio quality is very close to Audio Technica MSR7 when i use my Fiio E17k. Mic quality is the main reason i decided to buy gaming headset and it has excellent balance of noise cancellation and AGC without disturbance. Build quality overall is top notch.
Not super comfortable for me personally but they were very nice. I would definitely recomend even though I returned them. I returned them because even though game sound quality was great, in game or discord chat was nearly impossible to hear. I had to turn the sound to 16/100 for game volume to hear my friends and I wanted to set it to 14 but anything below 16 does not come through the headset. This is really the only reason I got a headset was for chat because I am not a hardcore gamer I dont care about hearing directional sounds. But if you do this headset is a great choice maybe you will have better luck with the sound setting when chatting!
Absolutely my favourite headset i have ever owned. I still to this day even a month or so later regard this as my second best purchase (my best being my pc) and the best pair of headphones i have ever owned.
The ear pieces are fabulous on my ears and I’ll often walk away from my computer and forget im wearing them which usually ends with the plug being yanked out.
The sound quality is fabulous. I used to wear a like, 20$ pair of Bose headphones with the volume at max. Now i only need it at like 25% and its Surround Sound is actually fabulous. I can hear in a 360 all around me in almost every game. Its saved me in clutch situations multiple times.
The microphone is fabulous, even beating my studio microphone till i had padded up my walls.
The multiple cords are nice so that i could unplug from the pc, plug into my phone and continue to watch a video.
Overall fantastic purchase. I reccomend to EVERYONE looking to buy a headset for gaming.
Excellent noise cancellation. Good sound quality, overall great product would recommend.
Honestly, in the past year and a half I have purchased TWO Sennheiser Game One headsets. They retail for like 160 or so on Amazon. I bought them for their Mic Quality and sound, and all day comfort because after using the hyperx cloud the top of my head would get sore, one time i even got a rash, and i thought those headsets were the bee’s knees but with all the popular reviews on this headset, and needing a new headset after my girlfriend took my sennheiser, i thought let’s give it a try.
let me tell you, honestly, the mic quality is UNMATCHED. It is rich and deeep almost as good as a blue yeti like 90% as good as a yeti, it is amazing the sound quality achieved by this mic that can be detached and stowed away. Wow! And the noise cancellation, is honestly better than my 350 dollar top of the line noise cancelling headset from sony. Why? because this headset has nice “ear cans” that just fit around your ear and secure nicely to your head just blocking out all sound. its like the difference between fancy noise cancellation tech vs the type of headgear you wear at the shooting range. the ear cans win every time, and they make my girlfriend mad always having to yell to get my attention, i never hear her. i love that!
sound is amazing, 0 complaints there. just turn on windows sonic for in game surround sound. and music is great.
the cord is braided and strong.
the amount of quality you get at this price point is unmatched and i can honestly say i would take these over my 160 dollar sennheiser any day. goooood work red dragon.
These are worn by a 10 yr gamer who has gone through 4-5 pair of headphones over that time. And over the last year wears them all day. These Redragon H510 Zeus wired headphones with memory phone ear pads comfort is the best, the microphone is the best, other gamers could tell the difference in voice quality right away, the sound quality is the best, other gamers voices have more clarity & definition. Also these have the best price compared to other brands. They have the best quality with a metal headband so they won’t break like the overpriced plastic razors. The volume control is on the cord which is good. The overall quality of these Redragons are superior to anything else I know. A couple of minor things that are barely worth mentioning is the microphone detaches instead of a hinge to move up & out of the way. The cord could be a little longer. Those are minor things compared to the other great qualities of these headphones.
It is really comfortable to wear and the sound for the 3.5mm aux is great. The only problem is that I use it for my Nintendo switch, but the USB cable makes everything sound tinny and echos so much. Maybe it’s just my headset but that’smy only issue. Feels great and the cables are lovely. But if you want to use the long USB adapter, maybe not the best on switch
Son is happily wrapped up in them for hours on end – seem robust – comfortable – no complaints on sound quality.
For people complaining about the driver, you can get it from the manufacturer’s website (I can’t post a direct link, as Amazon rejected my review initially as a result…). Once you’ve installed it, right-click on the speaker icon and select “7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter” and then check the “enable” box. Easy when you know how (which I didn’t, but absolute full marks to Red Dragon support, who responded to my email in 45 minutes…).
Be aware that the default ZIP file contains non-English characters, so you may need to rename the top-level folder (anything will do, just not “* (**) -2018-11-28”, which is what I found as a default!).
Good quality, look and feel durable. Excellent microphone. Very good for the price.
Very comfy headphones and for 50 quid you cant go wrong. I have taken a star off for downloading drivers. All info is in Chinese and you have no idea if you have downloaded them correctly, so I have no real idea if the 7.1 virtualization is actually working . However they are super comfortable, just finished a 3hr 30min session on civilization VI and my ears feel fine, not hot, no pain and the build of these headphones is incredibly solid. In regards to sound quality. I just use these for gaming, so not sure if they’re suitable for people just listening to music but I have worked out they are good on the high and middle range, so not bothered if they don’t have a super bass sound. Noise cancellation isn’t great but not bothered as I like to hear people if they need me……Shame i had to take the star off and if you got to Dragons English website they have every driver you need, apart from headphone drivers.
Headphones arrived today, and I was so surprised that this is one of the best headphones I have used. The sound quality is very good, butv for those who like heavy bases, this might not be suitable for you. I have bought a red dragon mechanical keyboard before and I was very pleased with that keyboard. So, I made a jump to buy this headphone when I am looking for one. Once a again, red dragon products is a no joke when it comes to quality and feels like an expensive ones. Their prices are a lot cheaper than those bigger brands and does not compromise the quality.
I just got the Oculus Quest for untethered VR experience. The Quest is really awesome and what makes it even better is the sound that came through the Red Dragon headphones. The headphones is good-looking with amazing surround sound. I was playing Beat Sabers for half a day before my Red Dragon arrived. What a difference it makes to the game. I could block out all other sounds and focus on the immersive experience.
The Red Dragon is the only headphone that checks everything I wanted – great surround sound, looks nice, can unplug the mic and the long audio wire. This enables me to replace the wire with an 8-inch wire for the audio jack. Complete untethered experience without having to pair with a bluetooth headphones and deal with latency issues.
There are lighter headphones around but those are not surround sound. It’s actually not that bad at 1.6 pounds and it makes a world of a difference in the Quest experience.
This is actually a really good gaming set, the only reason i gave it a 4 is because they don’t completely cover my ears, and personally i don’t like wires, but the sound is really good and so is the headset for the price. Thought id try them out, im a comfort freak when it comes to gaming, cause i put some serious hours in when i game, so i prefer wireless. One thing i do love about these headphones is they block out all the sounds from outside, and put you right in the game with all the extra sounds you hear with these on, you hear everything in the game! If i could get this sound in a comfortable wireless set, id be golden.
All about deal is correct. My purhased headset is Christmas gift for my grandson and at the moment I can’t test it but I hope, that all will be fine!
Even the packaging of this headset is impressive, I love it. This comes with everything you’d need to be able to use it with both pc or console, detachable mic is great for when you just want to listen to music, which the quality is also great for and with decent environment noise cancellation as well!
Easily connected to my pc (though settings and sensitivity needed adjusting, obviously), the wire is more than long enough for me to sit comfortably with them on, after adjusting the top bar, and I was told my mic quality was great in my Discord voice chats!
Comes with small thoughtful additions such as a carry bag and sticker.
Would definitely recommend this headset, perfect for online gaming and music and certainly worth the price!
I am an owner of Redragon’s M901 Impact MMO mouse and Vara keyboard, so when I bought this headset I had high hopes they’d live up to my already high expectations. Boy did they deliver. I’m a streamer, my peripherals, headset, mic, etc are rather important for providing quality entertainment. Beforehand, I had been using an old Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset that had lost its earmuff padding and was pretty uncomfortable to use. I tried a different budget gaming headset for half of price of this one and it just didn’t work out. I needed that 7.1 surround sound. The Redragon Zeus MORE than delivers. Not only is the sound quality astonishing for a $60 headset, which is still a lot cheaper than I paid for the Razer one back in the day, the mic is also mind-blowing! I use a Yeti Pro microphone for streaming, so I currently leave the mic unplugged BUT if I’m ever on the go and can’t use my Yeti this mic is more than enough for the job. In fact, it’s arguably better than my Yeti, but I’m so used to using a mic stand and not having a mic at my mouth to capture every little noise I decided to simply save the mic attachment for when I need it. The audio quality is freaking phenomenal, though. The muffs are super comfortable, the most comfortable I’ve ever worn, and the entire headset itself is so light I forget I’m wearing it half of the time. And being able to use the headset as a music headset as well, with the 3.5mm jack adapter? What more can you want! Well done Redragon, you truly are the best budget gaming brand on the market and you have a solid return customer from me. Now if only you could make a gaming keypad like the Razer Tartarus V2/Orbweaver so I can finally go all Redragon……..
The Redragon h510 Zeus headset is priced at $50, but packs features you would see in much more premium headsets. I compared this headset to Steelseries Arctis 5 and Corsair hs60 in which the h510 completely outdid in features.
Sound – Great sound, Redragon decided not to emphasize the bass as much as other gaming headsets which made it feel more balanced in both gaming and music. The headset can get very loud and quiet, I keep mine at 20% volume and it sounds perfectly loud. The sound was sharp and fuller compared to the hs60 and Arctis 5.
Sound Isolation – The headphones isolates most noises because of the thick earpads and clamp force. You would still be able to hear someone talking next to you though. One thing I will mention is you can hear your cable pretty loud when you move it around.
Sound Leakage – Almost no sound leaking. I’d say it’s safe to use in a quiet place.
Looks – Looks pretty clean, there’s no unpleasant “gamery” style to it. The logo is very subtle and fits in well. I would hope Redragon comes out with a black and silver version or some other monotone colors.
Comfortability – Surprisingly comfortable for the price, the earcups are almost an inch deep and have a padding inside. The headband is hardly noticeable on your head. I can wear these for hours and my ears won’t get too warm. Safe to say these are more comfortable than the hs60 and comparable to the Arctis 5.
Functionality – As I stated before, there are many premium features in the headset. All cables and the microphone are removable, the headset can work on xbox, ps4, and pc. Has a software that I will mention later. Comes with different cables and a carrying bag for portability. Really shows how Redragon thinks about our needs.
Microphone – Now this is the part that really surprised me, the microphone was very, very clear and had great noise cancellation. Before I got this headset, I was thinking of buying an external mic, but this one already performs just as good. My voice when using this mic is clear and sounds full, there is no buzzing noises or muffled sounds. The noise cancellation is great, my friends complained about my loud keyboard with my other headset but now they can’t tell that I’m typing. Overall amazing mic.
Software – This headset comes with a software which although there aren’t a lot of features yet, has some fun voice changers and allow you to change sound settings such as 7.1 surround sound. You can change the pitch of your mic and sounds. I would turn on “microphone boost” as my friends told me it allows the mic to sound louder.
Overall, this is an amazing value headset for 50$ and beats it’s competition.
For a few years now I have been buying nothing but Redragon for my keyboards, mice and mousepads. Every single thing I have purchased from them be it their $15 products to their $100 products I have always been satisfied with and impressed with the quality to price ratio compared to COUNTLESS other companies. I was in the market for a new headset, but not just any headset. I was being as picky as could be. I had purchased and returned 4 or 5 other headsets before giving this a shot and I regret not buying this sooner. I needed a headset with virtual surround, had to be a comfortable over-ear, 50mm drivers at least, metal frame, braided cable, inline controls and last but not least, an absolutely stunning microphone. With this headset I got EVERY SINGLE THING. All for $55.
Now I need to stress the absolute importance of a good mic for me. I wouldn’t consider myself an audiophile by any means, but when it comes to mics my standards are extremely high. This is because I record, stream and voice chat over many different applications. I also work from home and need a nice clear mic. I was tired of having a full mic setup in front of me all the time and so I was insistent about finding the best possible microphone on a headset and was willing to pay $300+ for it. This mic, and I can not stress this enough… this mic is comparable in quality to a Blue Yeti. Yes, yes I know the Yeti isn’t the absolute best out there but you can’t deny it doesn’t sound bad by any means. So if you’re looking for a solution to getting rid of having a mic dangle off to the side or in front of you all the time and you want a headset mic ON PAR WITH A HIGH QUALITY CONDENSER MIC, look no further.
As far as build quality goes, I am more than impressed. It is flexible, has fantastic clamp and the ear cups are an extremely comfortable memory foam. They do get a bit warm, but that is gonna be the case with any headset with the pleather material on it. It blocks a massive amount of outside noise and when on your head there is little to no sound leakage even on full volume. This headset can get very loud when hooked up via USB controller or into an audio card or controller. The braided cable is a little stiff but it’s easy to work. The mic is not in your face and sits right where it needs to at the corner of your mouth. The headband is fairly large and can fit my giant head comfortably. The earcups you may find to be a bit small if you have giant dumbo ears, but even then the material is comfortable and so to those of you with large ears, don’t worry. It’s comfy and has very deep cushions.
Redragon, you have earned a lifelong loyal customer. Please continue to make these wonderful quality products at budget prices. We thank your whole team!
The Zeus H510 All-in-One headset is sleek in design, feels structurally solid, and produces some of the best sound that I have heard. The audio range on this headset is surprising as you can distinctly hear more levels of audio. Which means for competitive gameplay this will give you the edge when you need to hear enemies in the midst of audio chaos. The attachable microphone though is what surprised me the most. I have used several headsets and had been disappointed, which is why I now use a usb condenser microphone for my audio output. THIS MICROPHONE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Super great quality with some minor adjusting, this mic destroys any headset microphone I have used. Your voice will sound super crisp and full over discord or in-game VOIP. Unlike other headset mics where your voices sounds like its in a trashcan in the bowels of a space worm. The headset is lighter than I expected too and the cushions feel like fluffy clouds. After a few session of 4+ hours this headset does not cause pain or fatigue while wearing like some other headsets can do.
Other than its functionality, this headset out of the box comes with everything you need to to use this no matter what system you use. PC, Console, Cell phone, you name it, it does it all.
Great job on making good quality products Redragon. Always happy with the products I buy from you guys.
