Great game different and chill kind of game
Replayability isnt as varied as they say though everything plays the same with minor adjustments to the onset journey which is misleading imo
Overall good game but nothing crazily industry moving
Road 96 is a rogue like game that takes a very different approach to the genre with much more focus on story than gameplay. The premise is that you play as several runaway teens trying to leave the country due to the leadership becoming more and more awful and while running to the border as multiple characters you will meet several interesting characters from a genius kid to a insane taxi driver to a pair of idiot bandits and learn about them, the world and a mysterious plot that will cause a tragedy as the game shows you. And as you meet and talk to these people you can influence what will happen.
Overall its an interesting & different take on the genre but kinda misses the main point of rogue likes, that being the replayability. Sure each overarching playthough will be different when encounters happen but after one overarching playthough you will have seen 90% or more of the scenarios.
Also quite frankly I just think the story, characters and worldbuilding is ok at best with a couple of great exemptions like the idiot bandits. If the idea of a story focused rogue like interests you then I still say give it a go but don’t expect a fantastic game or anything.
This is a good little game and had my daughters playing it. The story is good and keeps you interested and you are in control of the story and your destination. Graphics aren’t going to win any awards but didn’t get it for that. Overall impressed and keen to see how the story pans out based on the decisions the player makes
I’d been meaning to get to this game for the longest time, intrigued by what little I knew of it.
NB: this isn’t some triple a title or owt, but if you like the telltale games, you could do worse than giving this a go… I thoroughly enjoyed it, and played through a couple of times already even.

True the graphics aren’t going to test the PS5s hardware but there is so much more to this game than that. It has a great storyline and you meet some very interesting characters along your journeys!!
The characters you meet along the way are brilliant and have some interesting and sometimes interconnected back stories. There are multiple options on how to interact with each character and your outcome with them will depend upon your choices. The reoccurring characters can award you skills like lock picking, hacking etc which help you discover hidden items along your journey.
I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy this game so much, think of it along the lines of a life is strange game but with cheesier graphics and a better soundtrack and your about there. For 20 I think this is a steal if your considering this I’d definitely recommend it.
Acheter comme a, je savais pas trop quoi m’attendre, le scnario ne plaira peut tre pas tout le monde, mais perso je le trouve sympa. Les mini jeux d’arcade inclus par endroit genre “casse briques” sont sympa!
Dommage pas de doublage franais mais ya les sous-titres fr!

Really great game and an absolute bargain for 20. So many different and interesting mini games and story lines. Well recommended!
