Easy enough to put together following the instructions, easy to use, light etc. Comes on lowest cutting height, easily adjusted it’s spring loaded and pretty simple to work out. Downloaded Bosch app and registered for 3 year guarantee. Overall very pleased.
Works well, though the construction does seem a little flimsy compared to the flymo it replaced. Very light, almost feels like a toy, but I cant complain about it in operation.
Really impressed by this – I’ve used it a few times, once on my long neglected front lawn and several times on the back, more cared for lawn. It made easy work of both on the lowest setting. It picks up superbly well and is much quieter than my previous mower. So far I’ve found nothing to criticise other than it not being heavy enough to leave stripes. Oh well.
I think it has just 3 height settings, I’ve seen elsewhere suggestions that because there are height adjustments on both back and front wheel sets that there are more but wouldn’t that mean it could be cutting at an angle if front and back were set differently? Anyway 3 are fine for me.
Don’t be deterred by lack of detailed assembly instructions. If in doubt, consult the on-line video for this particular model. It simplifies the process 100%. The grass collection box is easy to fit, and not at all flimsy. Adjusting the individual cutting heights presents no problem. Gave the lawn its first cut today and was very pleased with the result. From placing the order to delivery took only 4 days and was free. Have always found Bosch products very well made and totally reliable.
I got this to replace my old Bosch mower. Initially I was a little disappointed with the quality, but as soon as I used it I changed my mind. My garden has a lower lawn a steep grass bank and a top lawn, which means I have to carry the mower up 20 steps and use it down the steep bank. The lightness of the machine is brilliant and at my age humping a mower around in your late 60’s isn’t much fun, and this mower doesn’t pull me down the bank. My only grumble is the mechanism for changing the height of the cut. You have to turn the mower upside down and pull on a bar to move the front wheels and another for the back wheels.
It does a good job, easy to use, cuts the grass in my small uneven lawn.
Instructions aren’t as good as they could be. The grass box is very flimsy
he lawns were in a terrible state but my friend, Dave said his mower could cope with long grass. He was
right which is why I bought this particular model as I shall soon be doing the back lawn. My other mower is a Bosch but its not as easy as this one and also needs a new main cable as my husband has cut it so many times. At the moment I can’t get it through the back gate as it wont open.
So far I can say it was a good buy
Keep forgetting to mow the lawn and my old Flymo was awful at long grass Ended up mowing the power cord.
This is cheap, small and light and it looks comically wee on even a small lawn. But set the axles to the highest setting and wow, it devours grass that would choke my old mower to thermal shutdown as soon as it touched it.
Easy to empty, quick to cut, and it really does go up to walls and raised edges. What a mighty beast. Plus it costs less than some gardeners charge for a mow of a decent lawn. The light weight and easy manoeuvrability make up for the tiny cutting diameter. Delighted with it for the money.
It took me a while to put it together as it came without clear instructions but I finally made sense of all the bits and pieces and it is easy to use. Make sure you attach the cut grass receptacle properly, else it will go everywhere. But it is light and easy to use.
I needed a lighter mower than the one I had been using before because I am not getting any younger and the amount of lawn to be mowed is now less that it used to be. I am very pleased with it except for the fact that I will never be able to change the cutting height. Those springs are a devil, far too strong, and I had to call on my stepson to do it. Not recommended for ladies on their own.
Does the job nice for a small garden as advertised and not too expensive.
The overall structure seems a little flimsy but works fine.
Its for a small garden so the grass box is small, that’s ok.
This grass box is on the same level as the cutting area, so when you remove the grass box lots of the grass falls out. Maybe I’m filling it up too much but that’s just my feedback.
I still give it 10/10.
It’s a lawnmower. It cuts grass. Therefore it does exactly what it says on the box.
If you can put it together first. The box is surprisingly smaller than you might think. Reasons. It has to be cut open along the top to get rid of the sealing tape, and then there’s actual seals which need to be either cut or tugged apart. The latter with some effort.
Then the assembly begins.
There’s the main body of the mower. The grass box and the handle are inside. You will have to assemble these. There are small parts in plastic bags that have to be cut open. There’s a guide and instructions in English and Mandarin. There’s no instruction on how to put it together bit by bit though.
So it’s a challenge. If you like that sort of thing….
Look at the picture on the front of the booklet and see how the handle goes on there. From that point, you can work it out pretty easily. There are bits that need screwing. Some screws are in holders that will come undone, and do up again when put through the right hole. Screwdriver not included so have one to hand.
But in the end I got it together. And the lawnmower.
The grass box is in two parts which slot together. This is irksome. It takes a bit to get them all to slot in at the right time, but even nearly all will work fine.
You can figure out how that goes on easily enough.
The handle ends up with the on switch being on the left, which takes a bit of getting used to if you’re right handed. But you don’t need to hold the button down. Press it and it will keep mowing. Till pressed again. Which is a nice development in these things.
Considering this is the cheapest mower I could find on here, it’s more than value for money. Because it does a very good cut. So it’s good. And it’s worth getting through the hurdles outlined above.
I do have some leftover screws and plastic bits though. Hope they’re not vital. It works even so, so possibly not. I hope….
Ordered from Amazon Warehouse so slightly cheaper. Arrived in original box which had been resealed. My mower was different from the illustration in that a cable attachment was included (plus a ball point pen!!!!). The “original instructions” provided are very poor and, as a mature lady, I was ready to throw it through the window. Thank you Heather on YouTube for making it so easy. Why couldn’t Bosch have done that.
So far only mowed the front lawn, found the height adjustment very difficult to adjust but got there. It is much lighter and more manoeuvrable than my old Flymo hover which was getting very heavy.
Couple of negatives – the handle is very long and the grass box quite small.
The one thing I liked about my Flymo was that it folded up quite neatly and took up little space. Like another reviewer, I’ve had to sort out my garage.
So the product overall is pretty decent (only used it once so far). It is very easy to assembly and has a decent length of cord for small gardens. Works well, does what it says on the tin..however.
There are only 3 adjustments to the height and they have to be done by turning the mower over and adjusting each wheel independently, so it can be cumbersome. Also my biggest gripe with it is that the grass box is super flimsy and mine was even sightly deformed out of the box so was a bit hard to put together. I can’t see it lasting very long. Not a huge issue for me but if it does break early I will definitely file a complaint as a product should last a reasonable length of time, even if its cheap.
Also, it’s handle is very long and so it can be quite hard to manoeuvre in tight spaces, so be aware of that.
Brilliant little lawn mower. Great quality and very easy to pick up and move around very pleased with my purchase
It’s light weight easy to manoeuvre , cuts will, easy to alter cutting height. Very happy
Easy to assemble and light to manoeuvre cutting grass to perfectio
Good price for reliable make. Power in springs on rear roller make it difficult to adjust.
The 1st time I’ve bought a Bosch lawnmower & really happy with it , easy to assemble & easy to use , cut grass well
Easy manoeuvres clean up ,lightweight easy to use best value for your money
I was very happy with the purchase of this lawn mower. It is exactly what was expected.
Used 5 times now and will update if any changes but…
So far this is a great lightweight small mower.
Good cut and easy to move about for small gardens.
Only downside I had was putting it together, there were no instructions on how to assemble, though 90% very easy for myself couple of parts took a while to understand with out looking it up online.
It’s light, quick and easy to use. Really pleased with it.
Easy to assemble, albeit I like assembling things. Easy to use, gets close to the edges. Very happy with this mower.
Easy to use and assemble. Good lightweight and does the job
Easy mowing , just not sure how to fold the handle down for storage.
easy to handle hope it will last time will tell
Great lawnmower with a proper blade. Easy to use. Great grass cutting. Go on youtube for assembley.
Small & easy to use. Cuts well.
Very lightweight, grass box ok but feels flimsy- not sure how long it will last.
Blade height adjuster basic & not particularly easy to use. My no last one has a choice of 7 heights & was very easy to use. Wish I’d paid a bit more and got a better model.
So pleased with this. Cuts really well and so light but sturdy. I have a back problem and would recommend this mower to anyone who needs an easy manoeuvrable mowe
Its fine, the roller does give you stripes if you like that (i do), this replaces a petrol mower so it was just getting your head around working with the wire again (not had to do that for years).
The only gripe was the balance of the mower once the cable is reeled in over the hooks, it throws the balance off so, when you pick it up by the carrying handle it doesnt want to stay balanced and tips back so be prepared to use both hands (just annoying really)
Not convinced by the edge cutting element, doesnt seem to be any different to the last mower i had so don’t set your expectations too high, will still need to strim edges in my opinio
Overall the mower does what you want. But not if there’s a dew still in the grass. It clogs up very easily unless used in dry conditions. From around the blade to the collection box the grass Matt’s up and it stops collecting leaving in a trail of cut grass on the lawn. When dry it cuts easily to the edge and leaves stripes as you would like. You just have to pick the right conditions.
My old, but very efficient mower, was becoming too difficult for me to access from my shed, then push through my home, since there is no back entrance. It had a variety of cut heights and the lowest cut really well, so I was loathe to part with it. However, I bought this new one and apart from the fact that altering the height of the cut is much more difficult for me, again the lowest cut suits me perfectly. I hasten to add I am 84 years old!!
I am disabled and had looked for an easy to use lawnmower for months. I found it. It’s so easy to use. The only adverse comment to make is that it is quite difficult to assemble. It took me 3 hours.
I’m delighted with my decision to avoid buying an expensive lawnmower. It is effortless to carry around as the handle folds. Excellent cutting performance so far. The only “negative”, of course, I knew this before I bought it, is that it’s small, meaning that I have to empty it very frequently.
Well its a good product and does what it says in the description.
However the instruction manual, whilst full of helpful cautions does not include assembly instructions.
So, you get all the bits out of the box and with your post-Covid brain fog, go through the pack twice looking for an exploded diagram…..nada, its not there!
However, there aren’t many bits and doesn’t take long to figure where there rough positions ought to be from the picture on the box.
In order to prevent dis-assembly down the line, I suggest that you slide the inner sleeves of the red bits intended to help store the power lead over the push arm tubes before you try and mount the outer posts over them….otherwise they wont go on.
Yes a bit of a pain but don’t let my moan put you off.
Once assembled it does a great job on a small lawn.
I like the metal cutting blade, much better than the plastic thingies on my Hover mower that it replaces.
Oh, and out of the box its comes set in scalp mode so you might want to adjust the front wheels to a higher level of cut for your first mow of Spring!
Grass box collects well, keep an ear out and empty when the mower sounds funny!
A nice light product and balances well from the carry handle in the middle.
A decent low cost mower, ideal for small lawns. The build quality is a little on the cheap side but it’s lightweight and maneuverable. Dont buy this for the edge cutter/brushes though, it does a rubbish job of edging the lawn, you will still need a strimmer if you have a fence/wall around your lawn. Not bad for 90 quid
Unable to asses because it is winter and the grass is not growing therefore does not need cutti
Easy to assemble light and easy to use ideal for small or odd shaped law
It does what it says. Could be easier to manouve
This arrived on time and was easy to assemble. Being of a certain age, I wanted something light, maneuverable and reasonably priced. This fits the bill on all counts. Three different cutting heights – again easy to select. Would recommend.
This little mower is lightweight but cuts very well. I’ve only give it four stars as although pretty easy to assemble, the handle proved very tricky at the point where it joins to the main mower body, ie the holes for the screws did not line up properly. However, with much strenuous effort my husband and I managed to get it sorted. All in all, it’s a nice, lightweight mower, even if on the cheaper side, and I would recommend it for a smaller garden but please have another person with you when assembling!
This is a good lightweight mower. It cuts well and is easy to adjust the cutting height without needing tools. Feels a little flimsy while using but you get what you pay for and cuts well.
If you have a small lawn and do not let it grow too long then I think this is a good mower. Cuts easily in my opinion, leaves a really nice finish and is extremely lightweight. So light that a full hopper will allow the mower to tip back if you let it go. Very compact so stores easily. probably needs to be treated with care to avoid breaking any plastic parts.
Cuts the grass brilliantly, found it a little awkward turning to come down the other side because once grass container attached a bit longer than I thought. I would recommend it as it does a brilliant job. I have problems moving anything heavy due to health issues, but it isn’t to bad.
I have owned three of these and I have found they perform consistently for about 6 years and then need replacing. I managed to sell the previous one for about a third of the cost of a new one. I expect it will keep running OK for another 2-3 years. I have to admit to being a bit lazy and have never bothered with getting the blade sharpened.
As you can see from my video I don’t have a huge lawn. It takes me about 7 minutes from start to finish. There is no lead winder. You could simply wrap the cable around the handle. However, I bought and inexpensive lead frame to wrap it around. I would quite like to have a hook on the handle that I could attach this to.
When the grass is damp I only need to empty the grass bin once. If it’s dry, the grass bulks up and I have to empty it twice. As you can see in the video I had meadow turf laid. As a result it tends to clump as the grass grows. The Bosch 34R handles this when the grass gets as high as 6-9 inches.
The handle can be loosened and folded onto itself to reduce the height for storage. A lot of people mention the grass container being a bit flimsy. In the more than 10 years I have been using this model it has never really been an issue. I have also never had a problem with the power switch, although it can feel a little lightweight.
This is the third Bosch 32R Rotary mower I have purchased over a number of years and I have been well satisfied with them. Only downside minium cut height is 20cm, would prefer 15mm cut height.
Very good value for money. When assembling the mower it is easy to see that some of the parts, such as the grass box appear to be quite flimsy. However it all seems sturdy enough. It is very easy to use and manoeuvre. With the carrying handle it’s a doddle to bring in and out of the shed. For anyone with a small grassed area this is so much better than the larger, more expensive mowers.
It’s powerful and cuts well and indeed is lightweight. It is a swine to put together. Find the video on line because instructions are just pictures. The grass box is the worst bit to assemble but once up and running it’s neat and a good mowe

I have tried multiple lawnmower including the cordless version of the Bosh Rotak but unfortunately none of them really works. Bosh cordless was really convenient but it stops every 10 minutes of use. I am not sure whether its problem with the specific piece but was disappointing. Finally thought to give a try on the wired version.
First of all please note that the wire is only 10 Meter. It may not be sufficient even if you got a moderate size garden. So please make sure you got an extension as well. Assembling the unit was really simple, took around 10 minutes. It got sharp blade which makes the grass cutting really simple. It has three height adjustment which can be easily changed by pressing near the wheel. The handle height can also be adjusted based on the comfort level. It is light weight too. I am really pleased with overall performance of this machine. Its a good choice for anyone who is looking for a decent lawnmower in an affordable price range. Definitely recommended!
