As a Tea drinker living in a hard water area.. this is the 1st time using a filtration kettle.. The taste difference is very obvious..smooth hot drinks .instant taste improvement..highly recommend
Nice looking kettle, and noticeably cleaner water in our tea and coffee – we live in a hard water area and so the filter system is a real benefit for us. Was worried it might take ages for the water to filter through, but this really hadn’t been an issue, and to be honest I normally re-fill it straight after use so that it’s ready as soon as I next need it. My only slight criticism is that the lights are not as bright as I would’ve liked compared to a previous light-up kettle I owned, but really this is just aesthetic and obviously doesn’t affect the performance.

Living in a hard water area, have tried all sorts of descaling products which don’t work very well.
This filter kettle is as clear as when first purchased, and the tea and coffee taste so much better.
I bought this one to replace the same one I had when the lid finally stopped working after 8+ years of very frequent daily use – I am fussy with water and can actually taste a difference in teas and coffees when it’s filtered. (I use a BRITA filter jug for cold water, too)
The only thing I would say the glass is rather unsightly when full of limescale (yep, still happens despite the filtering) but then again easily spotted and easy to clean. Fab kettle and looks great, too!
Make our tea taste so good. Boils very quickly. Keeps clean and is good at pouring the water out.

The above was the description on Amazon of this kettle. It isn’t 1.5 litres at all, it is a 1 litre kettle with a filter capacity of 0.5l! This is mis-selling a product! However the kettle is very nice, I just have to boil it more often, which is annoying.
Great looking and high quality product. The filter really works for making tea and coffee. I also think gravy tastes better too!! Its light and ergonomic. If you want to make more than 2 cups of tea, you must wait for the water to filter through before you can fill it again and that will only take you to 4 mugs or so. Its worth the 30 second wait to fill completely. If you want to just boil large amounts of water quickly then this kettle is not going to do the job. Its best for making drinks etc. Brita make their own version of this kettle but the body is plastic not glass so not so attractive. Thoroughly recommend indeed.
The only downside is the small capacity of the kettle however it is quick to filter and boil the water So not really a problem. Thekettle fairly improves the quality and taste of tap water. Happy with my purchase
Tea taste cleaner & crisper. The only downside it gets alot of limescale very quickly. Bit awkward to wash because of the filter unit…. will try bit baby bottle cleaner to clean it.
Looks real snazzy, especially when it’s lit up and boiling. Perfectly ample for 2 people and can make 4 cups quite easily.
Most of all, the tea / coffee it produces is clean, smooth and beautiful tasting.

I needed this because of the water filter feature and don’t have room for a seperate filter jug.( only 2 of us ).The only thing I found that lets it down is the weight.I know it is glass but so much heavier than I expected so if you struggle do not buy this.
Quiet and fast boil. No more scale in my black or green tea. I can actually taste the difference! Cups and mugs are easier to clean too!
Certainly makes a difference to the tea cups. No brown residue now. Works well. Water tastes good. Filter lasted 3 -4 weeks with daily use.

Really good filter kettle. Had a hot cup previously and find this much easier to use. Score would have been better but the base scales up really quickly. Needs to be done each time I change the filte

Love the kettle and the fact it has a filter inside, but this only makes for cups & therefore not very big.
This kettle is amazing, I am very funny when it comes to water, I’m moved down south and I struggle to adjust to the hard water so it helps to have filtered water in my tea! The only thing I would change is to have it in a bigger size so if I have guests of 4 or more I wouldn’t need to refill the kettle. It’s a two person kettle not 4

Great item. Saves my water jugs constantly being refilled. Only down side is the kettle holds much less than a normal kettle. Not bad for making two large cuppas but any more and you’re done.
I LOVE my new kettle! Having always been so paranoid about limescale, this is the best product I have bought for a long time! I have a young baby on bottles and with a regular kettle I had to thoroughly clean it all the time along with the gauze to make sure no tiny bits got into his bottle, that was so time consuming. I also use the filtered water to fill up my daughters supply cup so it’s better tasting than tap water! When it’s cold of course. Great kettle for your money.
Good where I am where the waters hard. Still needs a clean out every now and then but not nearly as much as previous kettles without the filtratio
Kettle arrived today and although was well packaged I’d noticed to my disappointment it was in used condition and certainly not new. Upon looking inside the kettle, the plate was marked like someone had tried to clean it after using it. There were water spots on the glass and dirt partials inside so packaged back up immediately and was sent back.
Giving this 4 stars as the design looks pleasing but never switched it on and couldn’t guarantee it was safe to use having been tampered with.
Worth noting the capacity is smaller than a similarly size kettle due to the filter housing. Shame I never got the chance to use it.

This kettle seems great so far. You definitely notice the difference of the filtered water if you live in a hard water city like London. It looks great, the blue light is a nice touch and it boils quickly.
OK, only reason this is not 5 stars is because of its small capacity, but it’s the best kettle we’ve ever had, and we don’t mind refilling it, as the water coming out is clear; no more limescale, which is the major problem with out water. I wanted to get the kettle a long time ago but my wife was sceptical, so one day, I had enough with our old kettle and I just bought it without telling her. She is really happy with it as well now, as she can actually see the boiled water. Again, best buy ever.
We moved into a hard water area and the tea just didn’t taste right! Cracking Kettle, we swap the filters every 4 weeks and it keeps the tea delicious — something we missed before.
Great kettle bought for daughter who has moved down south. Blue light is really funky, but the kettle gets lots of condensation on the glass- which I guess is to be expected when the boiling steam hits the cool glass

Really lovely kettle, purchased for my auntie. She’s very happy with the style and the aesthetic, and with the speed it boils in.
She just keeps saying how much heavier it is than other kettles she’s had.
It’s easy to maintain but does suffer from the odd water mark due to it being glass.
Overall a very stylish kettle few nags it is a little awkward for me to remove the hopper / filter to clean the bottom/
And takes ages to filter the water to boil. That’s more of a brita complaint though not Russel Hobbs !! Brita make the filters. I think with a faster filter it could be greatly improved. I had the original version of this kettle “no filter same design” but found I was descaling weekly. Upgraded to this one as I’m too lazy to descale weekly so far I’m loving it apart from too long to filter and a little hard to clean. But brita could improve there filters to remedy one of the issues . Ps it pours delightful and the illumination is pretty and fast boiling too
Love the kettle, it’s very quick to boil but it’s slow when you want to filter the water for a cuppa especially when you forget to fill it up earlier. I ended up taking the filter out and using it as an ordinary kettle and purchase the Brita water jug instead and filter the water in there first then fill up the kettle. It’s a lot quicker, easier and the jug holds a lot more wate
We want sure if it was hard water that made our tea and coffee taste funny but this filter kettle has done the trick. Would recommend! We use the cartridges on 2 cycles before changing.
I liked this kettle unfortunately after one day the glass cracked and started leaking. I returned it and bought another one somewhere else.

In my and my families personal experience of the kettle, it is an excellent working kettle and very stylish. It boils the water very quickly, has nice blue lights that illuminate when boiling. It is very easy to see how much water you have in it because of the clear side wall. It is also very handy because of the fact you never have to clean it. We live in a hard water area and we haven’t noticed any limescale. Tea and coffee taste great!

I live in Suffolk and the water is very hard,I’d had a water dispenser but they don’t make the one I wanted any more so decided on a filter kettle, I’m glad I did! No more scum on my tea!

The boiled water is markedly different, clearer and at first you can taste the difference in freshness. On the second filter now, it is leaving a bit of limescale but scale has destroyed some of our previous over used kettles. Very happy.
Quick to boil, doesn’t cut out to quickly and produces less steam than our previous kettle, the water level is easy to see and it does not drip when pouring. The filter works and improves the water for tea etc. it fills the usable water part at a good rate. The blue light looks good.
The kettle is slightly top heavy when filling but not so that it causes a problem and the maximum fill level could be higher when using 4 mugs.
Overall very pleased with a stylish kettle and would recommend it.
I live in a very hard water area and the brita filters do an ok job, but not an excellent job. I can notice quite a big difference in taste using the filters and dont get a horrible film on my cuppa as I get when using water straight from the tap. After 3 months of using the kettle once sometimes twice a day I can see faint hard water marks on the bottom of the kettle and still have to wipe the inside of the glass to remove water marks. However these are not quite as noticeable and slightly easier to remove in comparison to the glass kettle with NO filter I used to have.
The capacity of water it holds is a little over one litre which really I have found is 3 and a half cups, so if we have guests I usually have to reboil the kettle for the last cup.
The spout pours nicely and the handle is comfortable to hold. When boiling a blue light illuminates the kettle; which is a nice added feature.
Overall the Kettle itself is good and I am pleased with it. It’s the brita filters that I am less impressed with, when I have used the brita ones I have up, I will be trying the own supermarket brand ones as suggested by others.
Nice to have a kettle that boils quick and filters the water. Definitely better for having the filter element. I am sure this kettle is quieter than my old one and the ergonomic handle means I no longer get burned whilst pouring
Second kettle over the years love the style and blue light when on, very good as we have hard water in our area but does need cleaning out every month so water marks dont stain. Got with a discount so good value.

The filter this came with was dreadful and we soon had limescale build up. I expect that it was an old filter as subsequent filters have been great. I would recommend using a descaler inbetween changing filters.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Have very hard water & to keep old kettle clear I used to descale my old kettle every 2 weeks!
This stylish kettle looks great and does a great job. Be sure to check that there is definitely water in the base before switching it on though. Could have a slightly larger filter reservoir but that’s a minor inconvenience.
This kettle was bought to replace a faulty one of a different type that I’d bought for my daughter earlier in the year ( the lid became impossible to open without prising with a small knife!!

Quick to fill, quick to boil, no plastic taste, large capacity. Can be slightly heavy when full. When the light is on there is no need for the kitchen light at night. Arrived very quickly Id certainly buy this agai

Works well, lights are beautiful. I like its all glass and metal construction that is safer at high temperatures, apart from a few small things like the filter that is plastic.
I see some complain about the water condensation that affects the beauty of this kettle – come on, this is a natural phenomenon, you are not going to get a kettle that defies the law of physics!

You must make sure the lid is pushed down properly or with the force of it boiling it will pop up slightly also DO NOT fill passed the two lines as it Boils High
Loved the look of the kettle & the blue light..boils quickly in comparison to previous kettles I’ve had..I descale regularly when the filter runs out approximately 6 weeks for me..comes up like new! So far very happy with my purchase!
We prefer the Brita filtration and this unit makes things simple and makes a good amount of water per go. Easy to tell when it’s time to refill, pretty lights when it’s live, and excellent safety features (like the automatic cutoff when you lift the kettle before it’s finished boiling. Win!
Great looking kettle which seems at present to be doing the job. Tea is tasting a little better after water is filtered. Have to refill as less capacity with the filter in place. Replacement for exact same kettle that was being used previously without filter-just wanted to try the filter option.
Handle failed after about ten months use so it was replaced with a different model by the distributor.
It looked great and the filtered water was appreciated.
Out of all the kettles I’ve had this is the one. Just by spending that little bit more even though it was reduced I am more than pleased. Nice looking kettle, blue LED lights when switched on. I love it. 4 cups max. I always prefer water filter kettles as I live in a hard water area and it purifies what goes in your body. It I a smart looking kettle. Highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic kettle. Easy to use and clean. Filter lasts ages. It does take two filters to fill but doesn’t bother me. Wanted glass as don’t like the idea of plastic and hot water. Haven’t had a issue with timescale etc

pleased with Russell hobb kettle, water is filtered with britta filter so tea tastes better, bit of a faff replacing filter once a month, but overall nice kettle ,lights up when boiling, prefer if you could put more water in.
This is the best kettle I’ve ever had and for the first time in a long time I actually tasted my tea! It’s a must for any hard water areas. I was reluctant about the filter part of it, but it is brilliant. Fills up quickly, holds a lot of water and is beautiful to watch with the lovely blue light.
Well, this is the second time I’ve bought this model. Me last one lasted about two years before it decided to give up…but given the price/performance, i don’t really feel hard done by the lifespan. Live in a hard water area and this makes a huge difference with the purity for me cuppa and other boiled water needs. We have another Britta device so refills service both and whilst adds to cost, end result makes it justifiable. Overall looks great too! would highly recommend

Great kettle, boils rather quickly, I guess that’s to do with less likely to overfill as it takes a little while for the water to trickle down through the filter.
Can’t personally taste much difference, but we live in London, so always would prefer to have the water filtered.

Read mixed reviews about this kettle so far l like it alot my concerns are the lid seems a little flimsy on the hinge but only time will tell.
Kettle brilliant. We have such hard water in this area and hoping this will keep the scale down. Only disappointing thing was receiving a brita voucher for 5 in kettle box which expired 31 st December 2017. You would think that someone could check the vouchers out!!!
I do like this kettle for its appearance and functionality-nicer cups of tea now! Only BUT is the cost of the replacement filters. I will be watching out for offers at my Morrison’s as I stocked up when I saw a 5 OFF offer on them
Lovely looking kettle, takes the same filters as my Britax water filter jug. Have only given four stars as it is very noisy.
In the second month of use I used a cheaper version of the filter recommended by Amazon and was amazed at the difference, no white deposits on the bottom of the kettle for 4 weeks which is the point of replacement.
For me a great kettle but bin the filter supplied and go for the cheaper option.
We have had several of these kettles. The earlier ones used to have problems with water pouring under the lid when tipped forward or the lid release stops working. But I do like the brita filter feature and the design. The last one was a newer design and was working well but unfortunately shattered when it slipped and fell against the sink!

Looks stunning boils fast with not problems.
Good solid strong build, nice a sturdy.
Always change your filter once a month to keep it new looking, this stops any build up of lime scale.
I also use it just to drink the filtered water when its cooled down a little, as its so cold this time of year I can’t drink cold water.
