This gas hob has 4 different cooking zones for your convenience; a wok zone, 2 semi-rapid and an auxiliary, with wattage ranging from 1000 to 3800 watts. On each hob ring you have full control over how you want your food to be cooked, giving delicious dishes every time.
With an automatic ignition, the RH60GH403SS is incredibly easy to use. Just the action of turning the dial will ignite the gas, saving you time and effort.

Recently installed, this hob fitted nicely and directly into the work surface cut-out from my previous one. I spent a lot of time researching a replacement hob, comparing, asking other customers questions, looking at reviews etc, before I ordered this. First of all – Russell Hobbs – a good name in kitchen appliances. I wondered about the design placement of the burners – diamond rather that two-by-two – some reviewer said you can’t place large pots on it altogether – well you can, quite nicely, thank you. My previous hob had control knobs at the side and they had become burned and mis-shappend- I didn’t want the same thing to happen again, so had other customers measure the height of the pot grids for me – yes! a good clearance – another “tick”. I was concerned the pot stands, being cast iron, would be too heavy for me to lift and clean; but there are 3 of them instead of 2, so another problem solved. I’d been used to an enameled metal top and really deliberated over “going modern” with glass; no problems, the pot stands are secured either side so don’t move about to cause any scratching and the glass is easy to clean.
The control knobs are nice and large. A few reviewers pointed out they had trouble lowering the gas – I can understand that; overall these burners are powerful, and you do have to turn the controls way down low to alter the flame – but, so what – basically when I only have one pan on for anything I use the medium burner to very quickly bring water to temperature, then swop it onto the smallest burner turned low to simmer away. No problem. Oh, and I wanted a wok burner – not that I have a wok, but the thought of a very powerful double-burner was irresistable. And just a minor point – the Russell Hobbs name will never wear-off because it’s underneath the glass surface.
This hob actually isn’t expensive and is exceptional value for money. It comes with a one-year guarantee which you can then register to get an extra year.
If, down the road, I come across any problems, I’ll update this review, but at the moment, having happily used it for 4 weeks, and marvelled at how quickly I can cook things now compared to previously, I’m a very happy bunny!
Beautiful addition to my kitchen. Surprisingly strong lights.
However very hard to clean, always has patches.
I didn’t have to get a gas safety registered Installer to fit the item. But it was definitely worth it. It looks very nice and is very easy to use. Well designed.
Very happy with the cooker, was abit tricky to install. Would not be possible to use all 4 burners due to layout.

A replacement for our 10 year old stainless steel hob, which worked but was looking tired.
Had some worries about glass on a hob but consulted a qualified gas installation expert prior to purchase who told me he had never heard of problems with the gas version.
Required minor adjustment to worktop and gas pipe but looks first class.
Have now used it twice and the gas flame on all burners is a vast improvement and found we had to use lower settings. What a breeze to clean with a pipe over with warm soapy water and forget the stainless steel polish.

Can anyone help or advice on how to reduce the flame and get it on blue colour instead of yellow.

Just got it installed in my new kitchen an look grea
I am really happy with my new job. It has made my job easy especially with the big burner I’m able to cook in half the time and the space between the two big burners helps me to made two dishes at once. Relatively easy to clean and looks great.
Arrived very quickly ready for fitting which sadly got delayed. Now installed and so happy to be cooking on gas and to have a wok burner. Only downside is not easy to keep clean(non smeary)
Very pleased with this hob. Its got the style and feel of a country kitchen hob with its chunky cast iron pan mounts and knobs but with a modern twist. Its easily cleaned and very user friendly and also good value for money. Would recommend this to anyone thinking of replacing their gas hob.

It looked cool, it was the right price, and it was a brand. However there are reasons why most hobs have their burners in a square rather than a diamond shape. The wok burner is very hot – I find it hard to control the heat on my wok-saucepan. The large burner again is very hot, even on the lowest setting it’s more than a simmer! Cleaning is ok, I brought special stainless steal clear but it’s has still marked. All in all I’m happy. Christmas will be the test though- will I be able to use all 4 burners!?

Easily changed from natural gas to LPG- although I did buy extra jets and they came with the hob! Very sturdy pan stands. Super variation on flow. I just love it.

Very good product although because it’s glass it’s difficult to clean without it streaking.
So far so good. Easy to use, clean and have a lot power.
Love this item. Cleaning it is ok as nothing really sticks but it takes a lot of buffing to make the glass sparkle once cleaned.
