About your Russell Hobbs microwaveMicrowave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler. Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through. Cleaning: Avoid using scouring pads, steel wool or other abrasives. This microwave is a doddle to use, easy to clean and doesn’t take up much space. If you need to heat for under two minutes, just turn time-dial further clockwise then back to a lower setting. Its longevity is also a great plus.
A simple, but perfect microwave.

Excellent easy to use microwave
I am so pleased with this microwave . It is so easy to use even my husband can use it. He alway struggled with our last one we had that was digital and you needed to press this and that and also turn a knob and if you didn’t do it in the right order it wouldn’t work. This is so easy. You do have to turn the timer to 2 minutes first and if you want less time you just need to turn it back to what you want. This is not a problem. I have bad arthritis my hands but the switches are easy to turn. It also looks lovely in our kitchen as the cream matches the rest of my items. I highly recommend it. 5*****
Beautiful
I’m very happy and it’s working well, I’ve just had it for a week or so. It’s a nice size and I really like the cream colour and neat look.
It looks nice and does the job. Bought this to replace the one we have been using for the last 10 years.
Was looking for a microwave to warm the food and heat the milk for a nice latte and have no digital display. It ticked all the boxes.
However, there are two drawbacks: the noise is a bit louder than my old SANYO one and the light is not bright enough because of the mirror front.
The mirror front looks nice but to compensate that the designer should have choosen a brighter light so the inside was visible when in operation.
I bought this microwave to replace my old one which had peeling paint inside. Since it’s only the 2 of us, we don’t need a huge microwave and I prefer manual models as I find them simpler to use. This one ticked all the boxes!
The black and silver colour looks lovely in my kitchen and the microwave itself works very well. Very happy with my purchase!
This is a perfect microwave oven in my opinion.
We recently furnished the entire kitchen with appliances from a famous italian designer. The microwave they make (and charge 1500) is an absolute useless piece of rubbish.
We decided to buy an additional one and chose this Russell Hobbs one because I previously had one, I knew it was small and easy to add to a fully equipped kitchen and it looks gorgeous. It fits in perfectly with those overpriced, good looking appliances, no different at all. Simple controls, great looking materials, no irritatating noise, not to mention a great price. 10/10 from me. Will never again fall for the designer brands gimmick.
Just what we wanted.
The colour was just what I wanted, and the free dishes were a bonus. The omlette dish is great, only big enough for a small one but that’s fine for me.

Smart little microwave
Neat little maroon unit, the colour we wanted. Appears well made. My wife likes the analogue knobs but I prefer the accuracy of our old digital oven. Having said that, it’s easy to use, you just have to stand over it if you want a cooking time of less than a minute as that is hard to set accurately.
Basic Microwave - does what it needs to!

Easy to use – just 2 dials so you don’t need an engineering degree to work out how to cook your food.
Simply select the power level with one, and the time with the other.
Much quieter than my previous one. The only downside is that I find the light display isn’t very bright when cooking.
However , overall I must say am very pleased with this product.
At last turn and go i had their digital one for years but this is better unsophisticated and its got variable heat and a quiet ding ding when cooked…Dont hesitate buy it takes BIG PLATES easily
Basic but nice enough
A basic model but does what I need it to do, which is warm things up. Can be a bit slow and was going to return it for this but decided to keep it as it’s easy for the kids to use. Looks nice too.

Lovely little microwave
Bought this to replace a fancy (large) combo microwave grill – which was far too complicated for what we wanted. This one looks great, uses far less energy as there is no display and no internal light and perfect size and power for what we want, which is heating up meals, milk, beans etc.

I bought this for 4 reasons: It was analogue and simple, it was affordable; it was by a good manufacturer and it looked nice. To my great pleasure I’ve found this to be a very well made and solid machine and very easy to use and really reliable. Highly recommended – there is a lot of badly made and overpriced rubbish out there, this is the complete opposite!

I was looking for a microwave which was easy to use, and would fit well in my kitchen. I am delighted with my purchase, so pleased I bought it. Also will electricity prices rising, I will be using it more often.
There are three things I found irritating.
1. There are no seconds on the dial, so have to guess when it’s ready if in, say, for 3 1/2 mins.
2. No light when it’s operating.
3. There is no clock
Too basic a machine for me, but too late to return it. However, it will be fine for some people’s needs.

If you want an easy to use microwave..
…then you might as well buy one of these.
Admittingly I don’t use it on a daily basis, probably a couple of times per week. However it does the job in defrosting and cooking food and (as yet) I’ve had no problems with it.
It looks nice as well, quite retro in design. I’d recommend one of these if you haven’t got much cash to spend.

Russell Hobbs is a good brand name. Tough and Reliable.
Regularly clean with a jug of water and a dash of vinegar, allow to steam for two/three minutes, then wipe with a paper towel. This keeps the appliance in tip-top condition, and it’s more hygienic!

Russell hobs RHMM701S microwave
I purchased this Russell hobs microwave for a surprise for my girlfriend as her previous one was showing it’s age? Twenty years old and of a different manufacturer? So far she has been using her new microwave nearly everyday for the past few weeks and has had no issues or indeed problems. It’s a basic model which is really easy to use and she finds it great to reheat various homemade meals from her freezer. The real test I feel will be over the festive season when it really does show it’s worth while purchase.

I really like this little microwave, the colour is lovely, the design is retro modern like KitchenAid but on a budget, really easy to use with one dial for time and one dial for power, no faffing about with presets and buttons. Love it.

My eyesight was poor, when I first used it. I need someone to say temperature is botton dial, time is top dial. Usually, microwaves are opposite way around. It works brilliantly, on med high, I’ve found.
