About your Russell Hobbs microwave
Microwave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler.
Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through.
Cleaning:
Avoid using scouring pads, steel wool or other abrasives. Warm soapy water and a sponge should get rid of all moisture and food spillages.

Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape

First impressions photographs don’t really do it justice looks much better out of the box than it did on Amazon it’s a compact unit fitting nicely into a small space with simple operation set the power and set the time and wait for the ding takes a 10 inch plate quite easily and after the first use everything seems grand may need a little bit of clean straight out of the box. Overall very happy.
If there are more than 5 people in your home then go for bigger one, but for us 4 this is working best since 4 months as of now, the cabin size is quiet small but even plates with larger size will fit in it.
The colour was just what I wanted, and the free dishes were a bonus. The omlette dish is great, only big enough for a small one but that’s fine for me.

However placing a sticker above the control knobs is just dumb
The sticker is just to inform re two minutes set then turn back if less time needed
The stickers large on top of the controls and took forever to get off
You have to use warm soapy water to get the sticker off, so obviously it’s going
to drip on the control knobs ! But n the manual it says DONT get the knobs wet !!
Why put a sticker on it anyway is ridiculous ! Stick it on the Manual!

Neat little maroon unit, the colour we wanted. Appears well made. My wife likes the analogue knobs but I prefer the accuracy of our old digital oven. Having said that, it’s easy to use, you just have to stand over it if you want a cooking time of less than a minute as that is hard to set accurately.
This was give as a present l have a Russel Hobbs this was chosen as it not complicated and retains good quality and smart looking l would buy this again as a present excellent price
simple to use and does what it needs to. does seem a bit pricey for this feature point though.. and had my wife not insisted on red I probably would have got a cheaper version in a white/black/silve

only bad point is timer buttom.. You need to turn over 2 minutes and return after what time you want and after a lot of use maybe will broke… We will see after 1 year..
Don’t like the door, it’s rather like a mirror and you can’t see anything inside when it’s cooking. Took some getting used to regarding the cooking temp only been 700. Plus is that it’s great for small areas, not too intrusive on a work surface. It’s a nice design but the door front is quite useless unless you want to obsessively look at yourself or may be do your hair and make-up while cooking. You just can’t see inside the microwave to checkout the food, the door needs changing.
Simply select the power level with one, and the time with the other.
Much quieter than my previous one. The only downside is that I find the light display isn’t very bright when cooking.
However , overall I must say am very pleased with this product.
A basic model but does what I need it to do, which is warm things up. Can be a bit slow and was going to return it for this but decided to keep it as it’s easy for the kids to use. Looks nice too.

Bought this to replace a fancy (large) combo microwave grill – which was far too complicated for what we wanted. This one looks great, uses far less energy as there is no display and no internal light and perfect size and power for what we want, which is heating up meals, milk, beans etc.
I bought this as our last un branded microwave started to rust on the inside, the smell was not nice as evertime it was used the dampness got involved with the rust and discoloured. Since buying this microwave, its like a dream to clean, lietrally you can just wipe it over, I chose to properly wash the plate though. It is really nice looking , we got the silver/chrome. I feel happier it is a brand rather than a nondiscript model, hopefully it will last much longer than my last one. The dials of which there are two, make it so easy to operate, one is for temperature and the other is for time. The dials are easy to use even if you suffer with bad grip. It is reasonably quiet, it works perfectly. A good buy.

It is a very good looking microwave. Functions as it should, maybe I would have chosen the digital version instead of the wheel because for 2 minutes or less can be innacurate. Apart from that all good
A perfect size for the two of us. I love the colour and design. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love it.
There are three things I found irritating.
1. There are no seconds on the dial, so have to guess when it’s ready if in, say, for 3 1/2 mins.
2. No light when it’s operating.
3. There is no clock
Too basic a machine for me, but too late to return it. However, it will be fine for some people’s needs.
Does what it says on the tin. Seems solid and well made. Only negative is that the controls are not easy to read unless it’s in a well lit area.
We wanted a small, simple microwave, without any bells and whistles, and this fitted the bill perfectly. Perfect for our needs.

Admittingly I don’t use it on a daily basis, probably a couple of times per week. However it does the job in defrosting and cooking food and (as yet) I’ve had no problems with it.
It looks nice as well, quite retro in design. I’d recommend one of these if you haven’t got much cash to spend.

I’ve had this microwave for a year now and I’m really pleased with it. It works well, looks nice and doesn’t take up much space in my kitchen. It can be a bit tricky if you want to heat something for less than a minute (the timer isn’t very precise), but it’s not a deal breaker.

Easy to use microwave, bit disappointed with lack of a light internally, the door is mirrored so you cant see in at all – only flaw really – some reviews say very weak light, but I can’t see an internal light at all?

I would have preferred the first 5min timer was further apart as sometimes difficult to set 1 or 2. minutes. But other than that it’s great.

Did what it said on the box, inexpensive an easy to use.
Not as big as I would have liked but does the job. Very efficient. No complaints
No timers or unusual cooking procedures just turn the knob and cook on what you need basic microwave all that’s needed
For some reason it causes a burning smell and burn marks on the base of a jacket potatoes when on medium heat and top of the potato was still uncooked – had to clean it with bicarbonate soda to get rid of the smell. Thought it was a well known make and should have been ok – never had a problem in the past with old microwave.
We haven’t used this yet, as we’re still looking for the right location in our kitchen. This microwave has side vents and our previous unit had top vents. We are currently very frustrated by the unpeelability of the label stuck on the front. You would expect a readily peelable one, so you don’t scratch the beautiful shiny new front. Sadly not. We will live with the half peeled label, until we hear back from Russell Hobbs about how they recommend we get it off!
It’s a microwave that microwaves, ideal for what we need and easy to use, clean and the price was good, couldn’t ask for more
I really like this little microwave, the colour is lovely, the design is retro modern like KitchenAid but on a budget, really easy to use with one dial for time and one dial for power, no faffing about with presets and buttons. Love it.
The size is perfect for my small kitchen, I would not have fit a larger model in.
The only thing I will say as a heads up is to check you have the head clearance (30 cm) and side clearance (7cm) when the microwave is in situ or like I do, just slide it out a bit from under the overhead cabinets before using. Like any operating machinery, not following these instructions could compromise the function or damage the microwave- it has vents on the side which need the 7cm clearance and can get hand warm on top, so needs head clearance to prevent overheating.
It makes a normal loud microwave hum but if it starts making an unusual noise or accumulating an excessive amount of steam, I would stop using it immediately but, early days, so far it is a great and attractive addition to my kitchen, matching my R&H toaster as well as my retro cream and chrome kettle (of another brand).

For a simple microwave this is a great buy, it is what it is, it arrived in good condition with no issues and does the purpose it says, my only gripe would be that there is no light when you’re opening the door which is sometimes useful to see where any parts are that need cleaning, but it’s a simple microwave so what do you expect, it’s working well and I’m happy with the value for money it’s probably one of the better one to go fo
We like this microwave but it has one small drawback ,the door glass is tinted black and you cannot see how the item is doing in the oven.

Bought for the colour to match other items in my kitchen. Easy to use as there’s not many features. I haven’t actually had to clean it yet but I don’t think it’s going to be a problem!!! Quite pricey for a basic microwave but it was the colour I wanted.
Very easy to set up and use. No fiddly bits. Looks great. And fits a dinner plate. Power setting very useful including defrost.

Easy to use, basic microwave. Nicely compact and fits into a small space. Nice looking finish with an easy grip handle that I really like. Only had it a few weeks, but appears to be a quality product.
Perfect replacement for a Hotpoint that decided to blow up and catch fire one month out of warranty.
I have a few Russell Hobbs pieces so this fits right in. Specs are basic 700 watts and 17L with 24.5cm glass turntable. Outside dimensions are the same as most compact 17 Litre microwave oven.
Let’s hope it lasts longer than the 2yr one month predecessor. One issue I have is that you cant see what you are cooking. Yes there is an interior light, but the door glass/plastic is tinted like a mirror so have no idea if food is boiling over etc.
This is, by far, the simplest microwave I have ever used. It really looks the part, matching other cream items I have in my kitchen. I most certainly have no hesitation in recommending this item.
My mum’s microwave apparently went bang! She had a massive panic, I just ordered a replacement. This is spot on as she gets confused and worries if items are just too clever! Manual settings are spot on for her and all has returned to calm.
Nice easy to use. The only down side is there is no release catch for the door it’s a matter of pulling the door. My old microwave had a little button which released the door but all in all J like this microwave
No digital push buttons so easy to use. Ours arrived with a sticker in a prominent place advising if we wanted to use for less than 2 minutes, turn the dial above 2 minutes and reverse. Unfortunately this sticker was extremely difficult to remove and when doing so turned this prominent area dull whilst the rest was an excellent shiny black.
I was a little sceptical about ordering this microwave after reading the negative comments.
The images provided on Amazon for the microwave are the exact same as what the microwave looks like when it arrives, it looks really nice in my kitchen and works well.
I would most defintiley recommend this.
